Ever found yourself in the middle of a festive season only to be sucker-punched by the harsh realities of the world? We're setting the stage by juxtaposing the anticipation of Memorial Day with the somber news of a man's self-immolation outside a courthouse. As your guides through this emotional labyrinth, we'll tackle the complexities of political statements and the dark corners of self-harm, lightened by our piquant humor that serves as a spoonful of sugar amidst the bitter pills.
Picture this: a friend, a threesome, and a surprise pregnancy. Sounds like the setup for a reality TV cliffhanger, right? Well, strap in as we share the messy, real-life drama of a friend navigating the choppy waters of unexpected parenthood, the blurring lines of responsibility, and the tidal wave of consequences on relationships. With our pal Jim Jackson in the mix, we're laying down some hard truths and personal tales that reveal the vulnerability behind our bravado and the earnestness in our laughs.
And because we can't resist a good crossover, we're shooting hoops down memory lane with Ohio's basketball legends and settling scores on that infamous '90s NBA rumor involving Toni Braxton. But it's not all about the glory days; we're sizing up social media's muscle in today's fitness and wealth game, before wrapping with a gritty review of a TV show set in a detention center. From the court to behind bars, we cover all the bases, proving once again that no topic is too hot to handle when we're on the mic.

Anyway, like we said, welcome to the Nobody's Talking Podcast. This is your boy, bosco Pearson. Look me up if you want to, but you don't have to, you won't find me, and I'm with Soup.
Speaker 2No, it ain't soup, you know, it's Sherrod.
Speaker 1Uh-oh.
Speaker 2Got the audience.
Speaker 1See, I can't you know. Yeah, no, it's all good. Superman ain't in the building right now. I ain't that successful.
Speaker 2Yeah, I can't.
Speaker 3I don't need the audience.
Speaker 1Man, now we got a couple things to go through. The first one is I think you sent it Dude Homeboy set himself on fire.
Speaker 2Set himself on fire outside of Trump.
Speaker 1Listen, I'm going to tell you this right here. Listen, I'm going to tell you this right here that I say that man, or those men, whoever, whoever you want to vote for, you know we don't talk politics or anything. They're not moving me to sit up here and start burning myself up, or it's nothing justified. They're not moving me to sit up here and start burning myself up, or it's it is nothing, just I'll pay.
Speaker 1I'll pay attention to a point, but I'm sitting up here like nothing justified. Uh, this dude literally cause. I didn't even watch all of it, but homeboy was literally on fire.
Speaker 2You see, the, the, the reporter chick, she just kind of she kept calm about it and everything. I was like damn.
Speaker 1He really. So now you messed up for the rest of your life Because, even like if he wasn't by a fountain or anything, I didn't see a fountain or nothing. Because I didn't know if he, like lighted himself on fire, didn't hurry up and jump in the fountain, or if he did the the interesting part is Is he pro-Trump? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2That part. I don't know. Is he for or against or against, I don't know. But just to do it in general makes no damn sense.
Speaker 1I'm sitting up here like man listen.
Speaker 2I got the. I know you got the video too, but yeah, that makes absolute.
Speaker 1Okay, look, hold on, where is it. Where is it? Hold on. No, we got it somewhere. Here we go, hold on, we're about to play it.
Speaker 3An active shooter. An active shooter is in the park outside the court. We have a man who is lit. He has set fire to himself. A man has emblazoned himself outside of the courthouse.
Speaker 1First she said an active shooter.
Speaker 3A man has now lit himself on fire outside of the courthouse in Manhattan where we are waiting his history to be made. A full jury panel is gone. We are watching a man who was fully emblazoned in front of the courthouse today. We are watching multiple fires breaking out around his body and person. We have seen an arm that has been visible that has been engulfed in total flames. There is chaos that is happening. People has been engulfed in total flames. There is chaos that is happening. People are wondering right now if people are in danger. I'm looking across the court. Across the courtyard, there is a man racing to his aid. There's codes coming off to try to put out the fire. We have members of security details. Nypd is rushing to the scene. They are trying to come now officers are on the side, she calling the soccer game right now, real or hockey, whichever one is.
Speaker 1Man listen.
Speaker 2Makes no damn sense.
Speaker 1So first she said active shooter, so was he shooting? Then Put his cell phone. I wonder or did she just mean she maybe just misspoke?
Speaker 2Misspoke and said active shooter, but I, I just don't understand, and you know I'll never. I guess I've never had suicidal thoughts. Yeah, no, me neither me neither what forces you or gets in your mind. I'm going to set myself on fire in front of a trial that's going on. I mean, are you looking Like was he looking for attention? You know it just makes no sense, but I would never understand it. So never understand it.
Speaker 1That didn't make. Yeah, yeah, let me see that. That's crazy as hell. That's crazy as hell, that's crazy dog. And all it says is I guess, well, when you sent it, it was breaking news, Breaking news. Yeah, man lights himself on fire outside New York courthouse where Donald Trump's trial is taking place.
Speaker 2Yeah, like I said, I know we don't talk politics what's going to happen is going to happen with that Trump trial. I still can't believe he can run for president with all these damn allegations. But that's neither here nor there.
Speaker 1I can't believe that nigga set himself on fire.
Speaker 2That's what I can't believe For real. Something had to be going through his head. Yeah, he got to be going through a lot People go through stuff, but you ain't going to ever see me set myself on fire. That's just I mean, if you're suicidal and I don't want to burn myself today.
Speaker 1I'm going to shoot myself.
Speaker 2You are. But yeah, do it quick and quick and fast.
Speaker 1Why do?
Speaker 2you want to burn yourself. Suffer through all that pain.
Speaker 1And then somebody can come save you. Someone can come save you Now. You jacked up, so now you don't have no fingers to even pull the trigger, no more.
Speaker 2And I heard that is painful when you go through like an intense burn recovery. I heard it's one of the most painful things you can ever, Because you got to regroup like your skin. You have no skin.
Speaker 1I've had turf burn. That's about all the burn.
Speaker 2I've done that's just a little spot.
Speaker 1Yeah, you mess around, you get turf burn. You like goodness you know. Once you hop in the shower, you're like goodness, this shit burns.
Speaker 2Put some Neosporin on there, yeah that's the only burn I've ever had, just turf burn. That's nuts. This dude sets himself on fire. Someone come put him out. Hey dog, you still alive.
Speaker 1Like gonna come put him out.
Speaker 2Hey dog, you still alive, like damn, I know right he probably telling the dude don't save me, don't save me. Yeah, now firefighters come, spray you down, dose you down yeah, no, that's still alive. All for what?
Speaker 1hey, now look I, I got one for you now. This is compliments shout out to sterling sterling sent this now. Y'all know how crazy sterling get now. Sterling Sterling sent this Now. Y'all know how crazy Sterling get Now. I haven't even looked at it. I see the heading, but I haven't looked at it because I wanted a real reaction.
Unexpected Pregnancy From Threesome Shock
Speaker 5Okay, let me see, I'm going to pull it up the wildest ask on cart we have ever received. I'm at an absolute loss. My fiance and I have been together for six years. We have an amazing relationship and shortly after we got engaged we decided to make our secret fantasy a reality. I asked my fiance if he would be willing to have a threesome, a one-off experience for us both before we get married. We both agreed to doing this and I ended up asking a friend of mine if she would be willing. All right, cut off. That was it. Last week she called and dropped an absolute bombshell on us.
Speaker 1All right, cut off. That was it. Dog See how they did this. I want to know what the bombshell is. You know what the bombshell was? What she was pregnant? Oh no, nigga by him.
Speaker 2It was a threesome. It was a threesome, yeah, but she could have got pregnant before then, technically right. It was a threesome, yeah, but she could have got pregnant before then, technically right, oh yeah, right, right, right, right, right.
Speaker 1No, that is true, that is true, but we're going to play devil's advocate. I'm assuming, because of the story, homegirl was pregnant, but yeah, she got pregnant during the threesome, during the threesome. Oh my goodness.
Speaker 2That's cringeworthy right there.
Speaker 1Now, I wish we had a lady around. We don't, it's just me and you, so we can only give our perspective. Well, first off. Okay, here's my first question. Nah, I can't necessarily say that either, because I was going to say, well, first off, why didn't you wrap up? I mean, I get it, I get it. You know you with your lady and you know you want to go meet, to meet.
Speaker 2Hey, I understand, meet A.
Speaker 1She said they was drinking yeah meet to meet Feels fantastic, we all understand. She said they was drinking. Yeah, meet the meat Feels fantastic, we all understand. But I'm just going off of because you have another person and you know something can happen, which obviously it did happen with homegirl getting pregnant. Because my next question was dog, why did you bust in her? Because I mean you know you just think, oh pregnant, oh, he shot the club up. But I mean he. I mean Because ain't you supposed to shoot your lady's club up?
Speaker 2Yeah, but you know, I mean, I don't know all the parameters, pre-ejaculation, right, so now, like I said I'm going devil's
Speaker 1advocate right now I'm going is like they was drinking see that. Hey, that's what I said.
Speaker 2I've never had drunk sex before just drinking in it, and then you know one thing after another, ah, you know. And then just afterwards they just lay in there, juices flowing everywhere you're like man, did you bust in me?
Speaker 1you know you gotta finish in your lady.
Speaker 2I'm gonna see if we I don't know if they, even he remembers it happened.
Speaker 1He probably just busted and passed out. But tell me this though See, now I know it's going to cut off. I got to find it. I have to find it.
Speaker 2So we can hear the whole thing. Is she keeping the baby? Hmm, I don't think she keeps the baby Because I mean, as a friend, would you want her to Work?
Speaker 5and told me that she was pregnant I don't even have words Pregnant, pregante and that my fiancé is a father. I called my fiancé straight away. He said oh my God, I actually think the condom did break, but I was too drunk to remember or to even think about talking about it. She's decided to keep the baby or to even think about talking about it, she's decided to keep the baby.
Speaker 5Holy shit I know she says I feel really blindsided. I have no idea what to do. How do I even process this? My fiance and I do want kids together one day, but the idea of him having a baby with another woman makes me feel sick.
Speaker 1How do we?
Speaker 5explain this to friends and family.
Speaker 1How do we?
Speaker 5know if this can even work. I feel so overwhelmed, I don't know.
Speaker 2What does she look like they got pictures of her Nope oh man. Because what if the friend looks better? What if the friend looks better than the fiance? Now you're looking at her like that's the one I wanted anyway, Damn, that is insane.
Speaker 1The baby. You want to talk about some messed up dynamics.
Speaker 2I mean because it's kind of both their fault. No, no, no, the fiance wanted it right.
Speaker 1Here's the one thing. The fiance can't get mad at all. No, she can feel how she want to feel, Because this has nothing to do with me, and I feel crazy.
Speaker 5Right now I'm feeling like I want to look at him like how could you do this to me?
Speaker 1He said.
Speaker 2I do remember that the condom was broke.
Speaker 1Damn Damn. What condom was you?
Speaker 2using, but still, I mean, even if you had a condom on, you still want to bust inside your woman. Yeah, that's what I'm saying that's where you want to finish. Yeah, Because now it's like okay now, oh wait, she made you finish, I couldn't make you finish. What's going on?
Speaker 1Hey, here's my thing too. Oh, with a threesome. Oh, I saw this other one. Oh man, it was a. Oh, it was a hold on. Is that a throuple? Is that a?
Speaker 2throuple, I don't know.
Speaker 1I thought that's like, if it's three people, that's just a couple, like you all a couple. See, they're not a couple, they just kind of they are now. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2How I don't think they stay together, do you no?
Speaker 1No, especially if she keeps the baby. But then here's the thing what if? I mean, let me like that's. Like what if that's her one? Like they? I mean, obviously they seem cool. And I'm telling you, right now you can say whatever you want to say. You can be like, oh he's lying, or this and this, I'm going to be dead, damn honest. There's absolutely no way I'm doing that.
Speaker 3Nah.
Speaker 1Now everybody sit up here and have threesome fantasies and all this other stuff, dude ain't Nah. Especially not with like the best friend, that's what I'm sitting here wondering too.
Speaker 2you're supposed to go get a chick from the bar now y'all gonna be somewhere and y'all gonna be looking at each other like yeah you know. And then she says she ain't gonna feel a certain way. But yeah, she gonna always like the fiancee is always gonna feel a certain way, especially if they're out and about and the fiancee is probably like well, no, you gotta hurry up and get me pregnant now.
Speaker 2They're about to have the ghetto twins that's crazy that's nuts man but here's the other thing, like why does she want to keep the baby? That's what I want to know, is like what I see religious reasons or something like that but in this situation, in this situation she can't keep it you can't keep it, you can't unless she wants the man like her boyfriend or dude, that's what I think. I think she wants the dude, Because why else? I mean now it's like okay, so now.
Speaker 1Now I can keep him. Does she continue to be your best friend?
Speaker 2Nah, they might. I mean it sounds like they're from Europe or something, australia, I don't know. So she had an accent.
Speaker 1But then again, see, these were the people that were just reporting it.
Speaker 2These were just the ones that were reporting it, she might keep the baby out of spite. She probably busted that condom herself.
Speaker 1Damn.
Speaker 2Right, she probably went down on them. Bit a of hole she had a turkey basting yes, that's messed up, though, god, I wish I knew what they looked like man.
Speaker 1I know this, though, so I reached out and I was like I want you to talk to somebody. She was like who you want me to talk to?
Speaker 5Who Wow?
Speaker 1I know that's insensitive. Huh, very much so. Shout out to Tony Braxton man, that's not jam, I ain't going to even play it, no more. I know somebody's like no, no, no, let it play, let it play.
Speaker 2Let it play, man I ain't got it. Yeah, we get sued for that $16 to get a Tony Braxton.
Speaker 1Is that what they want? No, I don't know how much they pay, but I know they get a. Hey, I do have a story about Tony Braxton. Now that I did that, we're talking about threesomes and remember the story way back in the day, I should pull that up too, you know, since it's just me and you and we're just going to react to some of these stories or whatever, right?
Speaker 2Hold on, was it Tony Braxton?
Speaker 1Remember it was they said Tony Braxton broke up, jimmy Jackson, jamal Mashburn and Jason Kidd Do you?
Speaker 2remember that back in the day now let me see if I can find it, because then it'll be, this'll be because Jimmy Jackson denied doing it right oh, yep, absolutely so here's a story right here Jamal Mashburn, on what really happened between Jason Kidd and Jim Jackson and Tony Braxton Hold on, I'm going to let the people hear it.
Speaker 1We got time. We got time. Okay, look here we go right here. I know I got it somewhere. Alright, this is my Ohio. You know I got an Ohio shout out every once a week. I know people be like what are you talking about? No, jimmy Jackson's from Ohio, toledo. I can't tell you this.
Speaker 1Jimmy Jackson, with my own two eyes, with my own two eyes, is the second best high school player I've ever seen in my life, next to LeBron in person, with my own two eyes. Dog, this dude. I remember when they played. I think it was my freshman year and he was a senior. Yeah, I think he was a senior, it was my freshman year and they played at the university, the University of Akron. You know, it was during, I think, state tournament or whatever. I mean you can look it up. It actually could have been his junior year and maybe I might have been in eighth grade. But the first time I heard about him, my boy, rain, shout out to Kareem Galvin. He, just, you know, played football, basketball, big dude, nice, oh man, jimmy Jackson. He was just talking about Jimmy Jackson. He didn't appear like.
Speaker 1Remember Will? This is 88, 88, 89, maybe, and so you know Will had the internet or any of that stuff. I know we had a paper. So we just talking about how good this cat is he sitting up here like we done been to basketball camps and all that Jimmy Jackson dog. When we watched that dude play his game was just like just smooth. Another level yeah, it was just smooth, his game was just smooth. Yeah, it was just smooth. Now, seeing LeBron, I had the opportunity 9th, 10th, 11th grade and I've seen literally I know for sure, I've seen him play at least 50 times in high school. You figure, 9th grade, 10th grade, 11th grade, senior year is. We moved out here to Arizona so I just saw the one game I think they played on ESPN and I went out to LA when they played at Polly Pavilion and that was the very next day after Ohio State won the national championship.
Speaker 1It was against Miami Hurricane Out here, right? Yeah, yeah, I remember, dude, I was hyped and I would remember I drove out there because you know my folks Not my folks, but you know people from St Ben's and stuff was out there in LA I was like, oh, that's a six-hour drive, yeah it's like oh yeah come on out they.
Speaker 1I was like, oh, it's a six hour drive. Yeah, it's like, oh, yeah, come on out. They put me up in the hotel and all that hell. Yeah, I'm coming out, dog. First time ever been to Pauley Pavilion, it felt good going in there, just because the first thing I thought. I thought about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and John Wood and I was just like I'm touching the floor.
Speaker 2I'm like damn Stals you. Yeah, like John.
Speaker 1Wood, you sitting up here like because they play at UCLA.
Speaker 2Yeah, they play at the Poly Pavillion.
Speaker 1That's right. That's where they play. Okay, and, like I said, you know John Wood is a legend man, so you know you're just sitting up legend man.
Speaker 2So, you know, just sitting up here.
NBA Basketball Player Discussion
Speaker 1Yeah, great set and I know they had some great people, but all I thought about was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and John Wooden. So I just sat up here and just touched the floor and I'm like, man, this is and this was when they played against.
Speaker 1uh, dj strawberry, daryl strawberry junior yeah but anyway, like I said, jimmy jackson and, uh, lebron man, I know, I know they had some other ones, I don't know we had jerome, like they. All. They were all good, all of them. Chris, chris, fantastic. But just like my own two eyes and I'm sitting up here like man, these dudes, I'm sure it's people you know. I can only speak for Ohio. Yeah, I mean that's where I'm from. So, no, I mean I've seen a couple kids here that you know was nice. But that's when I sit up here and think like how good do you have to be, because you know you can be decent, and then you know you had that other level. You're like I'm good, but this cat is like good, good, good.
Speaker 2You're like good 12th dude on the NBA bench can ball out any cat at LA. Fitness, it's just embarrassing.
Speaker 1We've seen it, I've guarded it. Hey, I'm telling you, you can sit up here and guard one boy, michigan State. Ray Ray Withers played for the Suns for a little bit. I'm sure he played overseas and Summer League. I don't know how how Y'all always put the football guy On the basketball guy, I don't know.
Speaker 1Yeah, I don't know why, maybe it's because of my body type and it's like, okay, well, we gonna put Bosco on him. And then it's this other guy, I think Alex Scales. Body type man. It's like, okay, well, we're going to put Bosco on him. And then it's this other cat thing. Alex Scales went to Oregon. Man these cats is so. So these is dudes. That probably was like tweeners, you know, go in and out the NBA and stuff yeah.
Speaker 1And you just like, I mean, these dudes are good man. So I mean just saying that, like how good they are, yeah.
Speaker 2It's a different level.
Speaker 1I'm not, and I'm going back to where I'm still 30, 31, 32. He says these dudes aren't slouches. So now you get to like Jason Tatum man.
Speaker 2Oh, you get to the elite guys, yeah. Man, it's a different level. Dog, this is what they do, you just like good and like yeah like they don't miss.
Speaker 1Like they shoot three pointers. Oh yeah, like they, they shoot foul shots.
Speaker 2They shoot three pointers at LA Fitness like it's foul shots yeah.
Speaker 6In the NBA it's a little different, yeah.
Speaker 2The competition's a little, but here we would see them. You shoot every single time.
Speaker 1Hey, give him all my shots. Every single one man. I know I got totally away from it. I'm fine.
Speaker 3No.
Speaker 1No, we still.
Speaker 2we talking pickup, basketball and recreational good, I'm trying to think, being in a Growing up, there was a couple of casts.
Speaker 3That was good.
Speaker 1I was going to say I know y'all had somebody be like man, this dude, if somebody had to be the talk of the town.
Speaker 2Basketball wise. Yeah, I have to think about it. There's a couple. I mean there's some football guys, but basketball-wise I can't think of anybody.
Speaker 1Okay, and that was in.
Speaker 2Washington State. Yeah, not from my town, right, right.
Speaker 1But isn't Jamal Crawford? He's from Seattle, though. Right, Jamal Crawford's from Seattle. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2He's nice. I'll meet Jamal Crawford. Yeah, they was talking to him on Dan Patrick today. Shout out Dan Patrick. But they was asking I guess, mark, you listen. Dan Patrick, patrick show, right. Yeah, yeah, you know, marvin oh, yeah, yeah, they were saying yeah, yeah he thought Jamal Crawford was one of the most exciting players on the court hey, at least stuff was all the, at least it's all opinionated yes, so yes, yes, but no, I always I get what he was saying.
Speaker 1I think so who? So? Who's who's exciting? We take, come on, and we taking, we taking a big like if I'm, if I want to just watch, an exciting player.
Speaker 2Obviously ai was always exciting okay, he can handle the ball.
Speaker 1Okay, okay, I got something for you. Take out all the stars, stars. So you get Like a six-man and so I'm just saying so you can't say AI, Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, Can I?
Speaker 2say Blake. Griffin, I used to love watching that cat. He wasn't yeah he was exciting. Dog. He had a no, blake, yeah.
Speaker 1Blake Griffin no, that's a good one.
Speaker 2He had a little stint there where they was just throwing him from everywhere.
Speaker 1I already know who my cat is Larry Hughes, oh, larry.
Speaker 3Hughes is nice Dog. I like Larry Hughes.
Speaker 1I'm telling you, dog I, I think I might be Larry Hughes' number one fan. I don't know what it is. First, I think I like him. Well, obviously he's from the Midwest Shout out to St Louis, but I think I remember the story. I don't know if his brother is still with us or not. I think his brother may have passed, but I just remember hearing the story about, uh, him and his brother. So you know, he probably could have went to any college that he wanted to, yeah, but he went to st louis because he wanted to be close.
Speaker 1So I just thought that was admirable because you think like st louis and I remember like the tournament when they had, I was like, send this little skinny cat. I was like I like that dude. I saw Larry Hughes wearing number 20. I was like, ah, if you're good, that's my guy.
Speaker 2If you're good, they're going to find you. Yeah, yeah, man, these cats recognize talent.
Speaker 3You know what I mean.
Speaker 2They recognize talent. Yeah, nba, go to a like a small, like a school you don't even know of, right.
Speaker 1They recognize that there are some cats. Oh, oh man, I'm going to start watching NBA a little more because the playoffs, but you know they talk about what's the dude. They call SGA. Oh, stephen.
Speaker 2For Oklahoma City. Yeah, he's nice Dude what.
Speaker 1Is he from here? Is he from Canada? I? Think he's from Canada, See, that's why. So he didn't go to college, no, he did. So what college did he go to? That's the thing. I don't know what college he went to.
Speaker 2I just know him from being in the NBA.
Speaker 1I'm looking him up right now. Yeah, that's the thing.
Speaker 2He's an MVP candidate. They say he might get second in the Shai Gildress Alexander.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2And I'm trying to think Maybe he didn't go to college.
Speaker 1That's what I was thinking, because sometimes I'll remember some of these guys a little bit in March Madness, isn't it? Shea Gildress.
Speaker 2Kentucky. Yeah, he did go to.
Speaker 1Kentucky. He went to Kentucky, dude, I'm telling you yeah, he's nice.
Speaker 2That dude is nice.
Speaker 1I mean I'm telling you yeah. No he's nice. That dude is nice. I mean I'm going to pay way more attention. I know I've seen him.
Speaker 2Yeah, because they were talking about how you know, yoke is going to win MVP again.
Speaker 1Okay, so would this be his third Third straight, or it would be his third straight.
Speaker 2Third straight, Wow, but they're trying to like okay, let's start changing the narrative towards someone else. And they were talking about this kid like how he could, like he should probably win the MVP.
Speaker 1If homeboy deserves it, give it to him, because you know Jordan could have won every single year.
Speaker 2Oh, yeah, just because it's Jordan.
Speaker 1Jordan could have won every single year.
Speaker 2This kid is good. I watched him play a couple times.
Speaker 1There's some games tonight, right.
Speaker 2I think so, and then the playoffs start tomorrow. I think the play-in games are tonight, right?
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2So the final play-in games. So then you know how we was having the talk the other night, how the plan works, so so so since the Lakers won, they're automatically the seven seat. So seven and eight played for that seventh seat, so then nine and 10. So when when gets to play the loser of the seven, 18. So then Oklahoma city gets another shot against the 9-10 team, which was Sacramento.
Speaker 1That shit is so confusing to me, but the Lakers played the.
Speaker 2Nuggets yeah, so they won. So whoever wins that 7-8 game automatically gets the seventh seed.
Speaker 1So is the Nuggets the number one seed.
Speaker 2The Nuggets are the number two seed.
Speaker 1Oh, the Thunder are the number one seed, so is the Nuggets, the number one seed. The Nuggets are the number two seed. Thunder are the number one seed. Oh yeah, oh, okay. So I was wondering, dude. I told you that goes to show you how much I'm paying attention. Nuggets are the number two seed Because I'm sitting up here like how the hell? Because I just know Denver won the championship last year, so I'm just automatically pulling back at the number one seed.
Speaker 2Okay, I get it now.
Speaker 1They're one of those quiet teams and the NFL wait. Oh no, the NBA should do what the NFL does, but remember, the NBA don't reshuffle. No, like the highest seed should always play the lowest seed. I agree, yeah, they should reshuffle.
Speaker 2I agree, they do it true tournament style.
Speaker 1I reshuffle, I agree that I they do it true tournament style, but I'm pretty sure, uh, we're not saying anything that they ain't heard before.
Speaker 1So, all right, look, I look I got this. I'm gonna try to find I'm. We're gonna do this. Live on there. I found hold on. I'm gonna try to find this story now. Back in the day, jimmy Jackson, jamal Bashburn and Jason Kidd played for the Dallas Mavericks. They called them the Three Jays. Now, for some odd reason, the team was broken up, and the team was. I guess it was broke up allegedly allegedly by none other than my best friend. No, I really don't know her.
Speaker 1I'm just saying because of the name of the song and the people that had that throttle, but Tony Braxton so I'm going to play it. Then I try to fast forward to the story.
Speaker 6We've been waiting the whole afternoon. You know it's funny All afternoon, Jim, this was brought up last week, so last week.
Speaker 1Okay, now shout out to Jimmy Jackson and shout out to Rich Eisen, because I guess he guest hosted on the Rich Eisen show, I'm pretty sure. So this is a clip. I guess it says Jim Jackson comes clean about Tony Braxton same thing. You're so funny, I see. I still call him Jimmy Jackson. That's just from like high school in Ohio State. Just still call him Jimmy Jackson, dude. That's just from like high school in Ohio State. Just knew him as Jimmy Jackson. But seeing that folks have grown now, jim Jackson, jim Jackson.
Speaker 6Started on this. So when we get into it, this is one thing that always happened. I went to another team, which was a bunch of them. People would wait, guys would wait until they get to know me, then they would come in with the same thing. Yeah, you know, I wanted to ask you. It wasn't right away, it was, you know, a fill-out period. So the stage is yours.
Dallas Mavericks Tony Braxton Rumor
Speaker 4Well, that's the truth, because I met you in 2018. It's now 2024. I'm just now getting around to it. Look, here's the truth, because I met you in 2018. It's now 2024. I'm just now getting around to it. Look, here's the deal. If you remember, back in those days in the early 90s for people who may or may not remember you played for the Dallas Mavericks. True, you were teammates with Jason Kidd, jamal Mashburn, triple J's. True, you guys were building something Nice team.
Speaker 1Nice team was going to take over the NBA. Hey, real quick, it's a good story. It had me. I was like man, you know what, we'll bring this up on the Because, even when I heard it, I'm sitting up here like, uh damn, I like Jimmy Jackson, I like Tony Braxton, I like Jason Key, I like Jamal Mashburn, like what the hell happened to y'all. So I just know what.
Speaker 4I heard on the surface Much like a lot of things that happen in life. There's sometimes a divide. Something comes in and drives a wedge between young men.
Speaker 1that kind of Usually women Makes empires fly Women, always women or money. Women or money.
Speaker 4And you've got to ask yourself how many ways can this happen? Do you hit the?
Speaker 3freeway.
Speaker 4And the point being is this there was a rumor and this is pre-internet, pre-social media that a very, very huge, gorgeous female pop star had come in between a few members of this team and kind of messed up the chemistry. Like I'm hearing that the only thing that was pH balanced in that locker room was the shampoo.
Speaker 3This was all said and done, so what I'm asking you now?
Speaker 4Jimmy is. Can you maybe just put the story to bed? Maybe that's the wrong way to say it, but can you maybe just tell us what really happened? How did the Triple J ranch burn to the ground?
Speaker 6It wasn't that simple, because putting to bed is one thing, because I've told and talked about this since then, it's never changed. The story was never changed. Okay, let's put it on the table. What they said was that Tony Braxton broke up the Dallas Mavericks.
Speaker 3That we were in.
Speaker 6Atlanta and a limo pulled up. I came downstairs and got in. She was looking for Jason, but she left with me, which was totally false.
Speaker 3I mean, that's what they said. I said how could?
Speaker 6that be the case Because when we were in Atlanta, a good friend of mine was running an evening event at this place called Catfish Station. Okay, jason was with me and we went that night together to that place, so that nullified and canceled everything that was said right there. You see what I'm saying in regards to that security.
Speaker 4So well, now, that brings up other questions okay, it brings up other.
Speaker 6How does it happen? Well, my understanding is we're in New York Now. Keep in mind, I never met Tony Braxton Briefly at a TLC album release party in New York. I'm dropping names. You know I was important VIP section. He was trying to spit at T-Boz, you know.
Speaker 4Des Moines Eye Shout out to.
Speaker 6T-Boz, des Moines Eye, where that's perceived from. But I met Tony briefly, like hey, how you doing? I said never met her, never interacted, never anything. But you knew her obviously. No, oh, you didn't. No, no relationship, nothing. You knew who she was.
Speaker 3Of course, duh the haircut.
Speaker 6Come on, man. Everybody wanted women, wanted the Tony Braxton haircut.
Speaker 4That was the move.
Speaker 5But here's the thing.
Speaker 6So we're in New York, beautiful, and now we've had some. It's a lot of. This is really deep. You've got to understand the dynamics of the Mavericks. And I'm going to wrap it up at the end and tell you Now, tim, this was 93, 94? This was 95. 95, okay, okay.
Speaker 6So this is a year after I came off of my injury, so we already had some tension on the team, whether you know, my coming back was hurting the team more than helping, because at that time I had a third-degree sprain and they said it would have been better if you just broke your ankle. So, 51 games of the season, my third year, tear it up, I come back. I'm not the same, because it's my left foot. I got knee issues, all kind of stuff and we're kind of struggling to win games. So it's a lot of moving parts here. J Kid and I were like best friends, but then that tension started to happen as the team pulled away of who should be in the lineup, who should not be in the lineup. All of this stuff is going on.
Speaker 6So we're in New York and I had a publicist at the time, patty Webster, rest in peace. She said do you want to go to the studio to see Tony Braxton. I said okay. She said you can bring some teammates. I said okay, I'll call some of the guys and see if it goes on.
Speaker 6Now, mind you, we still got a little tension going on. Get to get to the hotel, and at that time is before you really had cell phones. So I'm calling people in the room, like if y'all want to go, just hit me up. We'll leave here at eight, 30, whatever it is. I don't get a call, nobody calls me back. Everybody else has something else to do. Now, mind you, I blew off a corporate sponsor dinner with Coca-Cola and maybe AT&T. But since nobody called me back, I said well, I ain't going. And I ended up going to dinner with Scott Brooks Okay, scotty Brooks, the old OKC coach in DC. So we ended up going to dinner, having a great time Next day in practice shoot around, and as we moved forward I started to hear the stuff about Tony Braxton on the squad, but nobody ever approached me and asked me about it.
Speaker 6So I don't know what's going on, but it's little joke stuff. Then, all of a sudden, this stuff comes out about that this happened and I'm like, how could this? And now Tony Braxton didn't help it because she had an album called Secrets at the time. So she came out and said, which is great PR for her a good girl doesn't kiss and tell Ingenious, ingenious.
Speaker 2Have a smart man, ingenious, I mean, the timing was perfect.
Speaker 6Album called Secrets. And you know we're. You know the three young up-and-coming. Now Jamal had nothing to do with this. Jamal gets dragged into this for no reason whatsoever.
Speaker 1See that.
Speaker 6Yeah, nothing to do with it, nothing happened. At the end of the year, jim Clemons comes in as the coach, we have a blowout meeting and I get to finally understand and hear what happened. What I heard was and they told me well, you left us and went to the studio. And that's what happened. I said are you telling me all this time that's going on? That you thought I left you guys and went to the studio. I said scotty brooks, tell him what happened that night. And scotty told him they were looking around. So I so the room.
Speaker 6When, when it comes this is the funny part when it comes up all the time they talk about the breakups in the NBA. Ours always comes up. So I got people who think they know, even reporters who thought they knew and don't have a clue. That's why I said you got to be careful perpetuating a rumor when you don't know what's going on. So all these people, young people, I'm like man, you weren't even born back then You're talking about. If it wasn't for Tony Braxton at 3G, stop it. You weren't even born. Okay, now let me put the bigger picture on you. The reason why to me it didn't work with the Mavericks wasn't that I was there five years I had three.
Speaker 1All right, see, now he's talking about something else. Anyway, that was the whole little Tony Braxton saga.
Speaker 2That's crazy.
Speaker 1That's nuts, though. See how Rumors man. Look at all these rumors Surrounding us every day, Exactly man.
Speaker 2Exactly.
Speaker 3That's.
Speaker 2Man, it's funny how one little thing can ignite everything else.
Speaker 1I think if it was today it would have been squashed. Oh yeah, because it's all squashed, it would have spread fast but everybody talked about it, we was hearing it when, essentially, he went on. I mean the story got to be about you know, the injuries and stuff, why the team actually broke up.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1But the part we just wanted to hear. I was just talking about the whole little Tony Braxton thing and you're like man, listen. You know we got on that whole story just because homegirl had a threesome with her best friend. Tony Braxton got a song called Best. Oh, you know what Trey Songz I could have? Damn I could have played.
Speaker 3Trey Songz.
Speaker 1I didn't even have to do Toni Braxton's best friend, huh, the home damn.
Speaker 2But isn't it crazy how, back then, he said 95, right, yep, we didn't have phones.
Speaker 1I think Cash just had pagers, pagers and probably, like the rich folks, probably only had cell phones.
Speaker 2So nowadays, with phones, everything's captioned on camera. Yeah, social media tweeted out. Yeah, yeah. Instagram, Facebook, whatever Right. And that would have been like you said.
Speaker 1It would have been squashed, it would have been squashed because there's no video evidence and remember, like he said, he went to the room and he was probably calling people, maybe leaving a message, and all that on. I guess the little voicemails you probably just sent out, like I'm sure they got a team group chat hey, anybody want to hit the studio with me? We're going to see Tony Braxton. And then everybody probably would have been like, oh, and then, like you said, as far as the with him going to dinner with Scotty Brooks, I'm sure some people in the restaurant would have been like, oh, look, two NBA players and took pictures with them, and you'd have been like, dude, we ain't even go to the studio.
Speaker 3Look right here.
Speaker 1Because then they would obviously I'm sure they would have had a little photo op with Tony Braxton if they did go to the studio.
Speaker 2Crazy, oh I tell you it's like stuff got out and then stuff didn't get out. Yeah Right, but it's.
Speaker 1Hey, I know, like later on, after we talked about the injuries and stuff which you know, they're already hot commodities anyway, because these are young, good-looking guys, rich. I don't know about Jamal Mashburn.
Speaker 3And all that. See, I'm going to tell you this right here I don't know about.
Speaker 1Jamal. I was just talking about.
Speaker 2NBA players in general.
Speaker 1I know what you mean. And you see this, jamal Mashburn, I did not say anything to you, nothing at all. I don't want no troubles, shout out Jamal, hey, but Jimmy Jackson, anyway, good looking man. Oh, you know that's a good looking cat, jason Kidd. Good looking cat. Jimmy Jackson was like his stock went up, yep, because of the whole, like the whole little rumor. So you know, like chicks want to be with him. He was like oh, he smashed Tony Braxton when I mean, he probably really didn't need it.
Speaker 1No, that's what I'm saying. He probably didn't need it, but you just like what she's a pop star.
Speaker 2She's a gorgeous pop star, especially in the mid-'90s. You look at Toni Braxton.
Speaker 1Man remember Toni Braxton, Halle Berry, Halle Berry. You sitting up here, like Halle Berry, Halle Berry.
Speaker 2For real. They had that little boy cut or whatever they called it.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2Man.
Speaker 1That was the cut back in the day, boy, toni Braxton married Curtis. Martin, she was married to Curtis. You know, I don't know if they ever got married, but they did date. They did date for a long, long time.
Speaker 2They got married, but maybe not. Yeah, I know they were together for a while.
Speaker 1Yeah, they did, and I don't know if she. I don't know how they ended up, but Curtis Martin's a pretty pretty boy. Yeah, that's a good looking cat.
Speaker 1Hey, he still, he still holding up. Oh yeah, hey, you know. Hey, see, this, here's the thing. When you are still holding up in your old age, hey, that's good, because somebody sent me a. Now I know we all want to be super rich and super wealthy and all that right, we want to be Bill Gates and Elon Musk, like, hey, they got all the money. But I forget I cannot find this clip either, but it was this guy. He was on instagram he's probably talking about. He was talking about fitness, okay, and he was just saying now I know some people won't agree, but basically I get the message he was really trying to send. Yeah, he said he would pick fitness over wealth. Now, first off, I guarantee the dude is probably rich already, but I think the reason he was really saying that he said because he said when you're wealthy, I said that Because I think you know I'm fit, so I'd sit up here and be like, oh, I want to be wealthy.
Speaker 2I think I want to be wealthy.
Speaker 1But then I'm like, damn. So when I give up me being fit for wealth, and I'm like I mean because I'm not poor, but what the guy was actually saying? He was just saying you can take a real, real rich guy not saying he's famous or anything and walk into the room dude, could be a little overweight and everything right, but you don't know he's rich unless he tells you or whatever. No, that's true, but when you're fit you carry it. You know they're fit. You know, like the discipline. I guess he was talking about the respect. I wish I still had the clip pulled up to play it. But I get what he was saying, though Some people are going to be like, hey, that fitness, give me the wealth. But he was basically just trying to talk about his message, like when you're wealthy and you walk into the room, you don't know Unless you like I mean, we know Bill Gates yeah yeah, mark Zuckerberg, we okay.
Speaker 3Yeah, we know that, but they're just going off the like the common.
Speaker 1Yeah, like Because you'd be surprised whoever? Owns so and so, and then you look and they can be rich as hell and you'd be like, okay, but like you said, but you go in there, somebody that's fit, you see it, you'd be like, no, that's true, damn, that's true. Okay, that cat has discipline.
Speaker 2Yeah, that's true so that that cat has discipline.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2So that's basically the message he was trying to. They use that example for like, like managers and people like that, right, right, so a lot of, even though you know, don't get me wrong there's some unhealthy managers, supervisors, heads of companies or whatever, right. Right they look at people that are fit and healthy. At those positions they're like okay, that person, that's why he's a leader, because he has that discipline to stay healthy and still do his job.
Speaker 1That is true. Health is what they do. That's our health segment. We've got the gossip, the health, I guess Meg Thee Stallion, I haven't seen any twerk videos. That's a new challenge or something like that. I don't know, but they said her twerk game is fantastic.
Speaker 2I'm looking up the video. I'm doing some research right now.
Speaker 1Listen, we do not fact check unless it comes to twerking, so now we're fact checking. This is a new day for the Nobody's Talking Podcast. Thank you for listening. Please follow us on IG. Speaker 1right, yeah, because they said it's a hot mission, nigga, it's been a hot, it's been a hot girl summer here, all damn ready, hold up, it's already. It was 94 degrees. Is that her? Or is that just somebody in a challenge?
Speaker 2I don't know, but let's see.
Speaker 1Hold that up to the mic. You can get your wig turned like F8. How long are your shirts?
Speaker 3Because a bitch can't break me Ready One night. I'm coming like Freddie. I'm mother, and you know my chick is your daddy.
Speaker 1Cut that deep Bitch, catch up. I'm sitting up here messing with you. Yeah well, that ain't Meg Thee Stallion, no that is Meg Thee. Stallion Wait, that's Meg, wait, hold on, because then I guess they said I guess she tagged Lotto.
Speaker 2Maybe it's not, Maybe it's just her. No, because I was thinking Magda Stallion that chick was a little light.
Speaker 1No that ain't Magda Stallion. Magda Stallion is dark or dark. Well, she's darker than them.
Speaker 2Oh, so this is just a twerk.
Prison Show Review and Brazilian Scam
Speaker 1Oh God, man, we done fell down the rabbit hole. I done fell deep down this rabbit hole. She's a twerkaholic she's a turkaholic man. Hey, you know what I just thought about something I watched Unlocked on Netflix. Did you finish it?
Speaker 2I finished dog man now we can talk about it, yeah we don't want to get.
Speaker 1We don't want to get too much, too much watch Unlocked. I think the next one I'm going to, now we can talk about it. Yeah, we don't want to get. We don't want to get too much Watch Unlocked. I think the next one I'm going to watch is Jennifer.
Speaker 2I think Jennifer did, I haven't it's on Netflix?
Speaker 1Yeah, it's on Netflix, like Jennifer did, or yeah I?
Speaker 2think I saw the previews for it Unlocked.
Speaker 1Unlocked was good, it's interesting. It's very, very very interesting man.
Speaker 2Did you like the concept?
Speaker 1I kind of like this watch how they grew throughout. Yeah no, I'm going to tell you this now a lot of times when I watch stuff I become. That's why I like SWAT. I always say this shout out to SWAT got picked up for a season. I'm a member of swat, but you just don't see me on the television, you know, so I'll be at all the meetings. I know shamar more even though he don't know me.
Speaker 1We know each other in the show his riot gear helmet on I'll be sitting up there watching that show like man, listen, who's going to cover me?
Speaker 3Somebody watch my six.
Speaker 1But dog. So I'm sitting up here like I became a prisoner. Yeah, okay, now the story of Unlocked is. I mean, it's basically they're going to give the they're still locked up not outside the prison, so they're in a detention center.
Speaker 2Right Basically holding.
Speaker 1They're normally on 23 and 1. They're locked down for 23 hours. They get one hour out, but I guess the sheriff this is in Little Rock, Arkansas. The sheriff wanted to go ahead and just leave the doors open, and so they could. If it's 3 o'clock in the morning, I'm going to go to the Shiraz room and be like hey, let's play some chess or let's go outside and shoot some buckets. You can do it.
Speaker 2I've heard of. Yeah, but see, the problem with those type of facilities is there's always people with enemies, right? So you can go shank someone in the middle of the night.
Speaker 1I'm telling you the very first thing, when they said we're going to unlock these doors, I went upstairs, went out to the concrete and I started sitting up here messing around with my toothbrush start sharpening, because I was like, oh, I'm shanking somebody, that's my listen, and I'm not even locked up. But that was my very first thought, like oh, I'm making a shank because I'm shanking somebody in the middle of the night. Dog, we ain't gonna tell you what happened, but I know that was a good. Hey, you have to watch it.
Speaker 2It was good, though no, it was very good. Yeah, no, there's some interesting characters on there. I like the dynamic between all the guys, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 6You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2They had to get out right, which is interesting, but yes, they didn't want to mess up their little system gotta go, gotta go. But I like the dynamic and I don't without ruining it too much. But you know, between the younger guys and the older, guys.
Speaker 1Yeah, because you did, you had, you had the old head, yeah yeah, which you know I thought 46 ain't that old. But I was like damn. I was like damn, no, yeah to them, because you know some of them kids maybe 18 19 20 21 24 and you have some cats in there late 40s early 50s.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, so that's like when we playing basketball you know we got some young kids in there, we, the OGs yeah, I know for sure, I am, that's true hey, that's, true yeah you got kids in there 21, 22, 23, 26 yeah you was like man.
Speaker 2Nah, I like the dynamic between them. It was just interesting how it all kinda worked out yeah that was good.
Speaker 2I don't know, see how. Then stories at the end yeah it was pretty cool. Yeah, nah, it was a good show. What I always wonder about those prison shows, though, and any jail show, reality jail show like that is the cameramen that are in there right. So they can't show none of that footage till after they start cutting and editing for the show, because right a lot of the stuff that was going on. Obviously the sheriff oh yeah, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1No, because you sitting up here. Yeah, I'm like. I'm like like how in the hell? But here's the thing the cameraman probably like do, do you? We ain't gonna show, say nothing okay yeah, till after the show yeah, yeah, we can't got a year, whatever how long yeah, yeah, whenever they shot, because, if I'm not mistaken, I think they shot it. Because, if I'm not mistaken, I think they shot that. I almost want to say 2023.
Speaker 3I could have sworn. I thought.
Speaker 1I heard yeah, I think it's been about a year, maybe some months or something.
Speaker 2Just watching it makes you not want to go to jail, oh yeah no, because you just sitting there like, just imagine not having your freedom. Look just get up there like just imagine not having your freedom.
Speaker 1Look just think just get up, get in your car, go wherever Be like man. You know what I'm literally thinking about Dairy Queen. I think I might go to Dairy Queen after this.
Speaker 2But it cracks me up when you say they get their little commissary.
Speaker 1Hey, I'm going to tell you this though them cats are some G's man, oh, for real, you will sit up here and I'm they come up with some shit, don't they?
Speaker 2literally, man you like how you making hooch in here what the hell what give you the? Idea to make hooch in prison out of the ingredients you have hey them dudes.
Speaker 1That was a good show.
Speaker 3That was a real good show in prison out of the ingredients you have hey them dudes.
Speaker 1No, hey, that was a good show, that was a real good show, and I know I wouldn't bring up the Brazilian chick, and that happened again.
Speaker 2Oh, the one with the dead man man.
Speaker 1Oh man, what is?
Speaker 2going on.
Speaker 1Hey, listen, y'all look that story up. Remember, when we talked about the two, where did we say the other two ladies? I know that was here. That was here. It was the two ladies. Two ladies that put. One of them was like I don't know a girlfriend, a caregiver or whatever.
Speaker 2They put hard tried to go through the drive-thru, but this no go ahead.
Speaker 1She took a cab.
Speaker 2Did you see the video? I can't watch it, so she took a cab to whatever the loan place this is in Brazil, by the way she wanted to get $3,000, right $3,400? $3,400. She took a cab. The dude helped the cab driver, helped the guy into the wheelchair, so I don't know if the cab driver knew. I mean I know Brazil's a little different. Anyway, there's a lot of stuff that happens in Brazil, dad is dead.
Speaker 2But help to the wheelchair. So she's up at the desk talking to the guy, having a whole conversation with him, trying to get him, you know, take his hand to sign paperwork, and that's when they was like uh, ma'am, so she's locked up for some stupid shit. I just don't get it, dog. I mean she got to be mentally crazy to be able to sit up here and think people ain't going to see him and think he's dead.
Speaker 1Wasn't his head bobbing all over the place?
Speaker 2His head was bobbing all over the place.
Speaker 1Just like Weekend at.
Speaker 2Bernie's, and that's when they called the authorities. What was she thinking?
Speaker 1For $3,400? How did she look? I'm going to look at the video she's a little older. I was going to say she hey, I was listening to.
Speaker 2Straight From the Heart.
Speaker 1She used her mind right, she can get $3,400.
Speaker 2So I was listening to Straight From the Heart, that's what they said. They was like hey, you in Brazil, you can get $3,400. That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2That's what I was like how did she look decent enough for real man y'all? It'll take you about about a week, yeah, to get 3400 dollars over the cab driver whoever the uber driver was thinking when he pulled the dead body out of the car and set him in the wheelchair did she like really tell him like, oh, he's just asleep, or he just he can't move or talk, man listen, there is no way I was a pallbearer one time and other, you know, other than going to funerals or whatever, just like when, obviously like when my mom passed.
Speaker 1You know, I hugged her and kissed her and all that stuff. But that's my mom. I did not sit up here and think like I'm about to take this chick's Social Security check.
Speaker 2That's the last thing on my mind, let alone drive her to the damn bank and make her think she's alive when she said they're dead.
Speaker 1I'm like dude, like I think she may have passed. We was, you know, we knew she was going to pass and I mean I'm trying to make it more, but I'm just saying just being like around a dead body or whatever we called. Like you know, think the nurse comes in and you know the funeral home, you know they come you stand up here.
Speaker 1you know they do all the vitals and put a death certificate and all that. I did not one time think like let me put Winnie Pearson into this car and let's run to the ATM room One last time.
Speaker 2Go ahead and enter this bank account out real quick. They might think she alive.
Speaker 1Oh my goodness man, that's a damn shame.
Speaker 2Well, hey, hey, we didn't know that.
