Pickleball, Pop Culture, And The Good Old Days
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The scoreboard shouldn’t be the hardest opponent on the court—yet pickleball has a way of turning a casual match into a rules seminar. We kick off with paddles, kitchens, and that infamous third number in the score, then pull back to what really separates beginners from lifers: understanding ball types, court surfaces, and why finesse beats force. If you’ve ever argued about whether you can step into the kitchen or which ball “skids” on vinyl, you’ll feel right at home here.
From there, we chase the thrill of performance wherever it lives. Winter sports remind us that gear and risk change the game—suits, edges, airflow, and the kind of courage you can’t fake at the top of a jump. We trade film recs for your queue—gritty ambition in I, Tonya, a chilling hook in Whistle, the surprise of Solo Mio, and a crime comfort watch with Parker—because stories hit the same nerve as sport: the rules, the pressure, and the moment you either nail it or eat it.
The conversation turns personal when we ask what success owes family. Headlines love the feud, but we look for a healthier model: help with structure. Think trusts over handouts, payroll for real roles, and financial literacy that protects relationships. It’s the same lesson as the kitchen line—you need boundaries to keep play fair. Along the way, expect sharp takes on the Super Bowl, a nod to new Hall of Famers, and halftime chatter without the fluff.
If you come for the pickleball tips, stay for the honesty. Hit play, share it with a friend who argues about scoring, and drop a review with your best house rule—or the movie that surprised you most. Subscribe so you never miss the next serve.

Picking Up Pickleball
SPEAKER_02Welcome back. We got three folks. I love that movie. And everybody here. That's one of my favorite movies. And we're going to talk about movies. I ain't never seen movies. We're going to talk about some movies. We're going to talk about Pickleball. I want I got something I want to talk about. It was something else I wanted to talk about.
SPEAKER_05Uh-oh.
SPEAKER_02Uh I want to talk about Glow Rilla. What she doing?
SPEAKER_00Pop culture.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you know what? Let's go ahead. Welcome to the Nobody's Talking podcast.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02This is your boy. Yeah, yeah. Bosco. To my left is your boy Rod.
SPEAKER_00And to my left, Superman is in the building.
SPEAKER_01Boom, boom, boom.
SPEAKER_00We're in the right order today. Yeah. We got it.
SPEAKER_01Just three of us today.
SPEAKER_02Just the three of us. Hell yeah. Take this gum out. Yes, sir. Alright, anyway. I just got a couple questions about pickleball. We started playing a little bit. Learning the ropes. And I think I know, because I'm just gonna say this right now. I know there's black people that do play, but the majority of people are white people. So. At least where we went. Right. I'm sure, oh, you go to Atlanta or Memphis, okay, it's somewhere where it's a whole bunch of niggas playing pickleball. But you know, y'all ain't playing pickleball. Y'all gonna square it off and play uh foursquare. Or go play uh, what is it? Tether tether ball?
SPEAKER_01Tetherball, yeah.
Childhood Games And Street Football
SPEAKER_02Tetherball. Hey, tell me this. You ever tie, you know, put rocks, rocks and water and stuff in a milk carton? Then you tie a rope and tie it to the street sign or play it that way.
SPEAKER_01And then we ain't never be that create. We weren't never that creative. Hey, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Told y'all. That's that's pretty impressive. I'm a trench baby. Yeah, that's what we do, man.
SPEAKER_00Wait, how how the so the cart, like the milk carton was?
SPEAKER_01He didn't fill it up with rocks. He just put rocks in it and weighed it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just weigh it a little bit. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Just so you know, it was so it was swing. It's like the little girl, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Yeah, because you can't put it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, no, the little gravel just to weigh it, so you know, give it a little weight. So when they would, you know, swing it around. I remember Jamela, uh Cherice, okay, Valerie, Jackie. Who else was on the block? Taisha, Mashonda, Ebony, dog. Everybody be out there. I thought you was about to see DMX with these bitches.
SPEAKER_00I was like, God damn, he knows the whole verse.
SPEAKER_02He knows every single chick in that verse. Nah. No, we was just no, we was all just sitting there. It was just all the homies on the block. That's what's up. And then go out there, play high, go seek, tack, dudes be playing uh football. This is the good, good, good old days.
SPEAKER_00Street football was fun, dog. I I still don't remember how we did not get hurt playing street football. Oh, yeah, I know. You know, because now I see like if I see kids playing in the street, which is very rare now. Oh, yeah, it's super rare. I'm like, damn, man, that's dangerous. Yeah, hey, I think I think it's funny character.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, sometimes when I see my neighbor, uh him and his uh kid would be out there, and then you know, like throwing the ball around. And I think it's funny because sometimes, you know, a car be going down the street and then they'd throw the ball up over the car. Oh, yeah, yeah. I was like, that's funny as hell. That was crazy. Yeah, one time it came to my mother, you motherfuck get off my man.
SPEAKER_01Get off my grass!
SPEAKER_00Actually, I would be excited. I turned into that cat. I would be excited to see some kids playing football in my neighborhood. But you just don't see it no more.
SPEAKER_01No, but they don't get outside no more. You know, we was forced to be outside, so that's why we had to do something creative with our time. Had to. And when we were out there, we even played uh uh sideline wreck.
SPEAKER_02So on the side, like when you got on the curb, ran down the sideline, nigga, you can get popped.
SPEAKER_01Yup, because you've been landing. You've been landing on the couch, yeah. Yep, niggas that hit mailboxes, yeah. Yeah, man, man. Man, we got my brother hit a telephone ball. Man, the shit was hilarious. That's just running in the parking lot. Don't run to the sideline, nigga. You're gonna get popped.
SPEAKER_00Keep it straight up the middle. You know what? Now, I take that back. I don't want to see kids playing in my nigga. As soon as one of them balls hit my car, I am gonna be the front yard guy. Yeah, hell yeah.
SPEAKER_01Get out of my yard. Yeah, what y'all doing in my grass?
SPEAKER_02Hey, y'all, y'all can play, but what you doing in my grass? Exactly. That ball just hit my car. Why my alarm going off? Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_01Which one of y'all big hands just hit my car? Exactly.
Back To Pickleball: Balls And Surfaces
SPEAKER_02But uh, let me go check the video footage. I'm calling your wheel. But back to uh back to pickleball. It's not many of us. Us meaning black folks. So now, but my only gripe is why in the hell is pickleball scoring so damn complicated?
SPEAKER_00I don't fully understand it, y'all.
SPEAKER_02No, I don't listen. It's easy, man. I know we're smart. Okay. I'm see you're it's probably easy because you like truly, truly like paid attention to it. I haven't even paid attention yet. I got a question. Steven watching YouTube, can you hit the ball in the kitchen?
SPEAKER_01Yes, you can hit the ball in the kitchen.
SPEAKER_00You just can't go in the ball. You can't go in the kitchen. So what if the ball just lands in the kitchen?
SPEAKER_02If it lands in the kitchen, you know, you gotta go in the kitchen. No, you can reach. No, your arm, your arm will reach. Okay. You gotta stay in the blue. You just gotta stay in the blue. Right. You stay out of the ball.
SPEAKER_01Yo, your arm, your yeah. But say you step into the kitchen. Now, if you step into the kitchen and you hit the ball, it's a foul, right? It has to land in the kitchen on the other side. So you have to you can still step into the kitchen to hit the ball. But if you hit it stepping into the kitchen, then it has to land in the kitchen over there. But if you hit it from the blue, then you can land it anywhere you want over there.
SPEAKER_02Oh, see. Can you can you man, how have you been? You've been you've been with that dude, Bobby, huh? This cat been high. See that?
SPEAKER_01Man, I keep telling you, I I play a little bit of pickleball. I went there, I went to the community center. They tried to get me to play over there. Remember, I told you the indoor center. Right. You use the indoor balls over there. And then I went with you the three times I went with you. Yeah. That's it.
SPEAKER_02Hey, I found out yesterday too. I am, do you say, entrenched into the pickleball community now? I then went out and got a paddle. And I got balls, right? Now, the balls I got initially says indoor, right? We're playing indoor. Yeah. We go over. Steve got four bars. I have three bars. They were blue too. I had blue bars. Damn. Inside. If you get it, you get it. Now, so I had three blue bars, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02One of the guys that lets us play, shout out to him. My friend, orange t-shirt guy, Bobby, Mike.
SPEAKER_01Something. Yeah, I think Mike.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Now, he let us play. Me and Steve, we pull all our bars up against the fence, right? Next thing you know, he said, those are indoor bars. So what the hell is this? Me, Steve, and E looking at him like Aren't y'all indoor? Exactly.
SPEAKER_01So ain't just an indoor facility?
SPEAKER_02Hey. Then he was like, you need outdoor bars. We was like, outdoor. Now remember, I just got these bars ten minutes earlier.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, he bought it. So I'm across the street.
Kitchen Rules And The Two-Bounce Start
SPEAKER_02I was across the street. So I'm like, okay, I'm gonna take them back. But after we get done playing. Yeah. Uh so we got ours. So I'm looking at ours, because Steve had four, I had three. Now the difference is the outdoor balls are more like a wiffle ball. Okay. And therefore, how uh or indoor indoor balls. The indoor balls are like a wiffle ball. Yeah, the indoor ball is like a wiffle ball. Now they said there's like 26 big holes in the indoor ball. I mean in the yeah, in the indoor ball. The outdoor ball.
SPEAKER_01Stay with me now.
SPEAKER_02Got small holes, and it's about 40. Now, because remember initially, because I just got a new paddle too. I'm sitting up here, I'm hitting it with the left. I'm like, oh, shit. 53. I'm sitting up here, still like, I know they want to know how I got from 52 to 53. Obviously, a birthday pass. So now I'm going, I'm like, man, I still got a little athleticism to me. Controlling the ball and everything. Now, this was a couple weeks ago.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02We were playing indoor balls. This week, it was a little different. So I'm looking at my paddle. I got it because it was green. I was like, oh no, I like this. This is nice, right? Decent price. I ain't going crazy. This is a this is enough for me, entry level. I'm cool. I'm looking. I'm like, all right, this is cool. Let's go. We playing. I was like, something's different. He was like, oh, I'm trying to trying to hit it. There's something. It's not even a racket. It was it's the actual ball. And they explained if they play different. So when we were playing last time or last week, we was playing, uh, we had Steve's, we was playing with outdoor uh. Oh no, we were playing with indoor pickle balls. So uh it's almost like a wiffle ball. Now I I can't show you because you get a lot of wind drag.
SPEAKER_01I got them in the car.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, no, I get it. I understand. So yeah, with the outdoor balls, you get let you get less wind drag, right? Because there's more holes in the wall. Right. Right, yeah, and it's faster. And it's faster.
SPEAKER_01It's a little faster and they carry, it carries a little more when you hit it.
SPEAKER_02If you if you play with that ball right there, if you play with that ball, which is uh, you see how right here it says outdoor. Yeah. Now, we was just assuming I need an indoor ball because we playing indoors.
SPEAKER_01I just thought all the balls were the same, just different colors.
SPEAKER_00Hey, hey, I I seen it explained, and I see that I see the absolute difference. So my question is, why does he want y'all to play with outdoor balls indoor? Because of the surface. It depends on the surface.
SPEAKER_02It depends on the surface. So indoor, indoor surface is vinyl. LA Fitness. Yeah, yeah. Wood. Wood. Wood, okay, and what was the other one? It was vinyl or rubber. Kind of like rubber, right? Rubber-coated floors. Right, rubber-coated. So outdoor is like a tennis court or concrete.
SPEAKER_00Gotcha.
SPEAKER_02So we're actually, we were, even though we're in an indoor facility. You're playing on an outdoor court. We're playing on an outdoor court. So that being said, I went across the street right before they close. Now I have I trade trade in my three blue balls for neon green. So now I'm back ready.
SPEAKER_03Outdoor balls.
The Scoring Debate Heats Up
SPEAKER_02So you can tell the difference though. Like if you like, if you play with the outdoor and then you play with the end, you'll you notice because these do move a little faster. Yeah. Yeah, you'll be like, oh, yeah. And if these were to play, if you play with these on the indoor surface, I think they say they would like skid more or something. But now back to the scoring. All right, now please explain. Uh Superman.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So you always serve from the right side. So whatever side you're on, you serve from the right first. Okay. You got two people. One person is on the right, one person's on the left.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_01Person on the left, since you serve from the right square, you gotta serve to the left square on the other side. Okay. Yeah, just like tennis. Okay. And then your person, your second person, they can move up to the kitchen line.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01They tell you to wait there because when the person hits it back, you wanna you actually have to let the ball bounce.
SPEAKER_02It gotta bounce twice twice.
SPEAKER_01So when you serve it, it's gotta bounce over. So the serve bounces. That's bounce one. No, no, no. No, no, no. No. You don't have to bounce on the serve. So the serve doesn't count. That's not bounce one. When you serve it, you gotta let it bounce on the other side first.
SPEAKER_02That's one, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's one.
SPEAKER_02No, I'm saying, so when you hit it to the other side, that's one bounce.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's one bounce. Right. It's got to bounce first, then you hit it back.
SPEAKER_02Shira hits it back.
SPEAKER_01I have to let it bounce.
SPEAKER_02You gotta let it bounce again. Then you can just start hitting it in the air.
SPEAKER_01Right. You can just fire it down.
SPEAKER_00Bow, bow.
SPEAKER_01You ain't gotta wait for it to bounce.
SPEAKER_00You don't see a lot of slamming it.
SPEAKER_02No, you can slam it, but you can't slam from the kitchen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you can't go to the kitchen and just slam it back. You know what I mean? That's what they say. You gotta slam it.
SPEAKER_02Remember, I showed y'all that video, and your brother was like, oh, Bosco's all in the kitchen. Yeah. I was like, dude, we just playing for cardio. Right. Because you remember, I was like, right, like literally. Yeah. We were just, yeah, like I say, just messing around. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01But then, so it's the serving is serving zero, serving zero. Okay. And then if I'm the first player on this side, then I'll be one. So it's zero, zero, one. And if I get a point, let's say I hit it over and you miss it, right? Now I got a point. It's one zero one because I'm still the first server. See? The last, the server number goes last.
SPEAKER_02Now I'm gonna give you this is what confuses people. I'm gonna give you the smartest person. Sorry to cut you off. I'm gonna give you the smartest person in the uh room because you're the engineer in here. We're all gamefully employed, but you the engineer, right? So I see the look on your face.
SPEAKER_01You can't get a point unless you throw the ball.
SPEAKER_02Imagine how I feel right now. So I get that.
SPEAKER_01You can't get a point unless you serve the ball. Now, if I miss, let's just say you hit it back and I miss. Yeah. And it's still 001, right? Now it goes to the second server.
SPEAKER_00So who's the second server?
SPEAKER_01Bosco. Or whoever's on your chest.
SPEAKER_02So it's so it's it's me and Steve playing you and Gerard. Okay. Okay? So now So I was just first.
SPEAKER_01So Steve served first. I served first. You side it out because you hit it back and I missed it, right? Now it goes to Bosco. No, you don't get a point.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you don't get a point.
SPEAKER_01You don't get a point. It's 000.
SPEAKER_02So do you 001? Do you have to serve to get a point?
SPEAKER_01Yes. That's what I just said. You have to serve to get a point. So they can't get a serve from Yeah. They can't get a point until they side out twice. Because we got two players. Because once it goes from me, it goes to Bosco. So now it's 0-0-2 and it's his serve.
SPEAKER_00So let me back up a little. Let's start off. Let's go back to zero. Me and my brother playing you and Steve, Superman, and Bosco. Okay. Superman serves. Boom. Hits on my side. You hit it back. I hit it back. You miss it. Right.
SPEAKER_01So it doesn't go side out.
SPEAKER_00Doesn't go side out.
SPEAKER_01It goes server out.
SPEAKER_00So server out. So then Bosco gets to serve down. Right. So do they get a point or no? No, they don't get a point.
SPEAKER_02So it's still zero zero zero.
SPEAKER_00Does it just rotate? Yes. Wait, wait, it said one.
SPEAKER_01No, because I'm the first server. So if he scores.
SPEAKER_00So what he said is if it scores, if he scores, I miss it. He scores. Then he got one.
SPEAKER_01No. No. It's 101. 101. Because I'm the first server. So where'd that last one come from? That's the first server. It's the number of server, the server number. I'm server one. He's server two.
SPEAKER_02Now, hold up real quick. Now, just to keep this simple for now, I'm gonna cut in. Zero total. Zero.
SPEAKER_01So just think about this. Just think about this. The score is zero, zero. So let's just say it's still like tennis, right? Except for instead of 15, you get one. Right? So you can't win, you can't get a point unless you serve. Unless you serve.
SPEAKER_02That's how volleyball used to be.
SPEAKER_01Just think of the score that. Zero, zero. Right? That third number is the number of the person who's serving. So if I was the first server, I'm one, he's gonna be two. If he was the first server, he's one, and then I'm gonna be two.
SPEAKER_00So so now rotate it to my side.
SPEAKER_01Right. So hold on. To rotate it to your side, you really got to get two side outs. Because when it goes from me, it goes to Bosco. Well, so once I serve and I miss, or he misses, then now it goes to Bosco. He's gonna be the server. That makes no goddamn sense. And then wait, how does that make sense? After that, that's when now y'all get a second side out, then it comes over to your side, and it's gonna be the same thing. Now we gotta get two sides outs to get the ball back to us to our side.
SPEAKER_02Well, I know everybody's scratching their head right now. No, no, go ahead. I got a question.
SPEAKER_00I guess that makes sense to a point, but the whole scoring thing, so what what do you play to? 15. 15.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Volleyball, Skill, And Why Matches Changed
SPEAKER_00So total? Yeah, total. So you're you're you get a point. You get a point. So as long as your score together adds up to 50, is that two?
SPEAKER_01Okay. Yeah. Okay. So if I get a point, and then you sign out, then it goes to him, and he gets another point, and it's gonna be two zero two, because he's the second server. Now, here's my point.
SPEAKER_00Why can't it just be two zero? Nigga. Same thing. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01It's the same thing. They just add in the number of servers so you'll know. Let me tell you why they're doing it.
SPEAKER_02They're doing it so black people won't play, goddammit. Listen, I don't give a fuck what y'all say.
SPEAKER_00Rewind a little bit. I had an argument when my father was going to elementary school and they tried to do this whole math shit. Dude. And I said, nigga, one plus one is two. Why do we gotta draw pictures?
SPEAKER_02Just keep the shit simple. Listen, okay, now I'm all with the you can't score unless you serve, right? Yeah. Okay. It's me, it's me and Steve versus the twins. Boop, Steve hits it to you. Boop. You hit it back. Okay. Boop, Steve hit it. You miss it. Yeah. Okay. Guess what? One-zero. Our score. Okay. So then it's my serve. Then he said it's my serve. Yep. Okay. No, wait. Is it still his serve? Yeah. Oh, is it still, is it still your serve? No. So wait. If you side out. Only if I point. If you point out, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01You got a point. Yes. Oh, okay. So we at one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So if I got a point, then it's still my serve.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01So gotta be one serve, one zero, one because I'm the first serve. So it's just one zero one.
SPEAKER_00It's like volleyball used to be. Yeah. Before they started doing that whole because matches were taking too long. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Because you could only score if you if you served. Exactly. Yes. So now I got two points for you. How come y'all just can't go zero or fit? I don't even like tennis scoring, but at least zero, fifteen, thirty, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And ain't 40. You at 40 you win. Am I right? Yeah. Okay. I mean, I don't know the. So wait. So 50. 30, 40. 45 you win. Oh, 45 you win.
SPEAKER_00The whole the the point thing. Okay. So now 45. So yes.
SPEAKER_02Me and you playing Venus and Serena. Is it 040, 0 serving 2? Or it's just me and you got.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's 0.15.
SPEAKER_00Or 1515. Right. And then we already know once we get 15. 40-40, 40-30. Yeah. 40 love or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Who Will Own Pickleball Next?
SPEAKER_02Once they start serving, then you know it's going to be 45-15. Yeah. I'm going to be yelling at you to hit the ball. Then you're going to be yelling at me. No, nigga. Why you ain't hit the ball? They serving too fast. Exactly. Now, so why if we just can't do it like tennis? You trying to set yourself apart so much? Or let's just go. I'm all for either boop. He hits it, right? Boop, you hit it. It's out. One point, right? Okay. Boop. Okay. You hit it, right? He hits it back. Yeah. Out. Okay, now you get a point. Yeah. And just play the 25, like volleyball.
SPEAKER_01I like that. Just play the volleyball. Man, you can make up the rules yourself.
SPEAKER_02No, I'm just saying, but but when you're playing like legit, like you, because you know it's gonna be some time when you go in there to play. Right. And the people gonna really play. Like the way we play, like we all go out there. No, we're just playing if you serve. We'll do like you can only score if you serve. But it's we play to 11 and it's one. So it's one-zero, two, zero. Okay, now it went out. Now it's y'all served. Now it's two-one, it's two-two, it's three-two. That's how we score.
SPEAKER_00We know that's not the right way, but okay, so I just Googled how long a professional pickleball match typically lasts. So it says 45 between 45 and 75 minutes.
SPEAKER_03So about an hour. So three minutes.
SPEAKER_00They play three games, best of three games, format, right? Uh-huh. So it says individual games last 15 to 25 minutes. Top level. So that's I I'd have to watch it. I'd have to watch a professional game go just to see.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna I'm gonna Google. I'm gonna Google uh uh and and why I've seen it on before. Listen, so it's fun.
SPEAKER_00No, it looks like a fun game. I'm gonna come over there and play with what you're gonna do.
SPEAKER_02It's the scoring.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm just like yeah, why can't you just do one, two, one, two? Yeah, what either do do it like volleyball or just do it like tennis. Or do it like tennis.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I get to hold, okay, it's one. What is the reasoning? Like to me, it seemed like they tried to be highbrow. Yeah, that's the only thing I'm saying. It's just it's too much.
SPEAKER_01It's too much.
Winter Olympics, Risk, And Gear Advantages
SPEAKER_02It is getting so I'm sitting up here serving, right? Oh, god damn, what's the score? Now I'm gonna serve messed up because I don't even know. Zero serving six, uh, four, and uh three, and he got one and two.
SPEAKER_01It's just one and two. It doesn't go three and four, it's just one and two on your side. That's all.
SPEAKER_02Hey, well, I'm glad you got it because I'm sitting up here like that should I think I would have to play it just to kind of fully.
SPEAKER_01It's just one oh. So what's the score? 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, right? Yeah, and then whatever, whoever served it first. So if you first served it first, you number one. If you serve it second, you'll win.
SPEAKER_0010101. That's all it is. 201. Yeah. So then 3016102.
SPEAKER_01Right. I it's just whoever's serving it. If you the second server, that means when you sign out, it's coming to me. That's all it means.
SPEAKER_00So then if it comes to my side, it's just it's the same thing. Yeah, but it's just so we know now I'm one and two. Right. Okay, I got it, I get it, I get it. So you third number is just a server.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's just a server. That's all it is. So we'll know like when you sign out. So if you say one, then I'll be like, oh man, that means that we got a server.
SPEAKER_00It should change that third number to like A. Right? Right? Right. Why why why make it a number? Exactly. Make it a letter. So zero servant A or zero servant player B. You know what I'm saying? Like, it shouldn't be like that. It shouldn't be like that. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01But they I know, I got the tissue. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, um, that's exactly what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01So man.
SPEAKER_00Nah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um I mean, it's what uh it's just the score system. Yeah. When did volleyball, when did volleyball switch there? I don't know. I don't know when they switched. Because one time I was watching the volleyball, I was like, 18. Yeah, I thought they stopped at 50. Now, this was after I haven't seen volleyball in 50.
SPEAKER_00So now they go to like what 22? They go to 25. 25, yeah. So but it's just straight up, yeah, yeah. Straight up. You have just straight up 25. Yeah. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_02Which I and you can you can score. Yes. You don't even have to serve. That's what I like about it. Yeah. Oh. I like it to a point. Yeah, volleyball. Because remember, you had you played the 15. Yeah, I remember. I thought you were. But you but you had to serve. I mean you had to serve to score.
SPEAKER_00Not anymore. Any more? I think they're just getting way too good. Yeah. It would get way too good. Because now it's like, all right, you can almost keep somebody from exactly from yeah, because you serve the the matches would just take last last too long. Because usually the side receiving the serve always wins the point. Right. For the most part. Right. So unless it, unless you do every now and then you get a volley going back. But usually it's boom. They're so good now. They're digging it out, set up, bow. You don't get no, you don't get no more than three.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you get three. You might get you might get four.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But that's about and this is like the top, top, yep, college, uh, college people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you hardly, you rarely ever see them two or three points in a row anymore. It's it's it's probably but that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01Like, man, I'm looking at their booties anyway. I ain't watching the game. I didn't want to say nothing.
SPEAKER_02I was like, oh, listen to say it, top college people. No wonder, no wonder I didn't understand.
SPEAKER_01Never even thought about it. I'm just like, look at that booty. God damn.
SPEAKER_00Damn, the way she dig that out. Man, that was a nice dig.
SPEAKER_01God dang, boy, she did the splits. Whoa! Man, I love volleyball.
SPEAKER_02Dog. No, that's nuts. But anyway, that's nuts. Pickleball is fun.
SPEAKER_01It is. It is fun. I gotta try it. But you gotta remember score. You just gotta remember. And in the kitchen, the ball has to bounce. You can't you can't spike the ball from the kitchen, right? So if somebody hit it over, if they go into the kitchen, they hit it. And if you step in the kitchen, you have to let it bounce first in the kitchen. Okay. And then you go in and you can hit it, but it has to bounce in their kitchen. In the kitchen.
SPEAKER_00Right. That's kind of how to keep it so people don't just be. Oh, yeah. That's that's an automatic point. I don't care who you put.
SPEAKER_01If you go into the kitchen. If you go into the kitchen, it has to land in the other kitchen and it has to bounce over there before they can hit it back. So they can't just hit your ball.
SPEAKER_02But if you if you at the line, yeah. If you had the line though, you can go ahead and let it go. Boom! So y'all see some pretty competitive people over there? Hell yeah. Dog, they put one on me and him. Man, when we listen, this dude, we first start playing, right? We athletic. Right. You know, you'd be like, oh, okay. We got some athletes out here. Dude, we don't know what we're doing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Just hitting the ball up, serving it up to him.
SPEAKER_02Man, this cat starts hitting the ball. It starts. We were still getting it, but uh I'm sitting up here, it would, it would come at you like a curveball, and you'll go to hit it. Yeah. I'm like, how in the hell is it?
SPEAKER_01Like ping pong. You know how the ping pong the ball breaks after it bounces? Yeah. So then they ball breaks after it bounces. Right. You be like, okay.
SPEAKER_00They can put some English on it.
SPEAKER_02Put some penguish on it. Like a ping pong. Yeah. And you know how my mind starts thinking. You be like, he just over there happy to be beating some nigga. It's all that it is. Y'all, y'all just had to bring him up. We got y'all ass. Exactly. This ain't basketball and football. I'm like, yeah.
Movie Recs: I, Tonya, Whistle, Solo Mio
SPEAKER_00You know that to be black people first thing, too. Like, let's go to the basketball court. Rebuttal. Rebutle. I see you on the turf.
SPEAKER_01I see you on the turn for my brother.
SPEAKER_02I see you in the basketball court. You got me here. Let's go.
SPEAKER_00Let's go across the street tonight.
SPEAKER_02Let's go out to the parking lot and race.
SPEAKER_00Black people in the first people rebuttal with some shit. Oh, you got me with this, but let's go, let's go play a real sport, nigga. Let's go run a hundred meters, nigga.
SPEAKER_02One in the parking lot to the other. Let me see who wins. And we we and we we racing. We racing uh once the light turned green. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01We taking off.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Crazy. That was crazy.
SPEAKER_00They got it. They got it right now. Right. But no, but it's only a matter of time black people start taking over. Until we take them over. Hey, now here's but here's my next question. But then it won't be famous anymore. It won't be popular anymore.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna tell you this. It's popular because a lot of black people ain't getting into it right now. That's why. Exactly. Just like that.
SPEAKER_02Uh are some of the top pickleball players. Lower-ranked tennis players. Oh I don't know. That's a good question. You know how you got Carlo, Carlos, the one that just won the Australian Open, Carlos Alcaraz? Yeah. Now I guarantee he'll come out and play pickleball and kill us. Obviously. Oh, yeah, because he's got that natural side to side reading the ball, knowing how to so the guy that's ranked, let's say, like a so the guy that's ranked 200. Yeah, yeah. Oh shit, the guy that's ranked 1,000. Yeah. I would I would he come out and play pickleball. We ranked number five. I guess exactly. Don't tell us. But hey, I know I'm stirring it up.
SPEAKER_00Here's the thing, though, right? So tennis, again, tennis is a tough sport. Tennis, we don't, I mean, we didn't grow up playing it. Right. Had we grew up playing it, maybe it wouldn't be as tough. But you know, we've all been on a tennis court. Yeah. Picked up a tennis racket, tried to hit the tennis ball. Man, that shit is tough, dog. Yeah, yeah. But the get because it's one is hand-eye coordination. Yep.
SPEAKER_02Then you got to be able to control it. Yeah, you got to control how to see that's what people don't realize. Yeah. Even like with pickleball, it's finesse.
SPEAKER_00It is finesse, yeah.
SPEAKER_02People want to get out there and you just want to kill it. And no, I just want to get you moving. And if you over here, I'm gonna try to hit it over here. Then if you're over here and you hit it back, I'm gonna try to get you. You know, I'm sure you probably like tennis. Yeah. And y'all know we don't fact check nothing. This is just all from what I've watched on uh YouTube.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna we're gonna take it over at one point. But again, it's just so the problem with us and what I mean by us, black people, is there's not enough money in it yet. You know what I mean? Yeah, there's enough money.
SPEAKER_02How much? Oh man, you know some of them damn paddles?
SPEAKER_00You said like$200, bro.
SPEAKER_02I played with a paddle, a paddle that was$350.
SPEAKER_05God damn.
SPEAKER_02Man, I can't see paddle. He handed it to me. Yeah, he's like, let me know how you like this. Now, this is what I'm saying. You can hand me some two, three, or four hundred dollar basketball shoes or football or basketball, and I can tell you. But with the paddle, I had no idea. I mean, oh, it it's nice now. I can tell the difference after you know, picking up like uh a paddle that's like entry level or I'm I just did some fact checking right now.
Kelly Rowland, Method Man, And Parker
SPEAKER_00Okay, so how much you think it's going around the room, how much you think a pickable uh average let me see how much do you think a professional player can earn between just an average player yearly or per tournament? Annually uh 150,000, 25,000 30 to 250,000. Now the top tier no no no what's that I want that top tier or one and between one million and three million? Now is that with their endorsements? Exactly.
SPEAKER_01That's with the NIL.
SPEAKER_02So now let's go to this Lindsey Vaughn in the winter Olympics. Do y'all know anybody that's in the winter Olympics? Besides, I know Lindsay Vaughn.
SPEAKER_00Uh the black speed skater, Aaron.
SPEAKER_02Um you said that, right? I don't know. I don't know him. I'm being honest. Don't even know him.
SPEAKER_01I know who you're talking about, but I don't know her name. Black speed skater.
SPEAKER_00Aaron Speed Jackson. Aaron Jackson.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_00She's the black female speed skater. I think she she might be the world record hoarder. Okay. Now that you brought up the Olympics, right? Just started. I think the open ceremony is today. Earlier today, right? Um but it started a couple days ago. Right. Just like the Olympics normally do, because they gotta get some of these games going. Right. I think women's hockey started because they gotta get that order to get to men's hockey. So not a lot of us in the winter Olympics. No, it's too cold. It's too cold. And plus it's it's it's those sports that cost a lot of money. Ski. Exactly. All that shit costs a lot of money. Right. Right. But think about it.
SPEAKER_02Hey, well, I'm not gonna ski jump. No, hell you're gonna ski jump?
SPEAKER_00Hell no. That shit looks different.
SPEAKER_02How do you even how do you even sit up here and say, uh, I want to ski jump? Train for it?
SPEAKER_00It's just I mean, people got that adrenaline rush. They like look at it like, oh, I can do that. But again, it's something you gotta train for, right? We ain't got like a flying. Black people don't like cold, but we could take over speed skating if we really wanted to. If you think about it. Bob Slayer too. Probably Bob Slayer too. If we really wanted to, if you thought about it. Like, because right now, look at that. One of the top female speed skaters in the world is a black woman. Powerful. I was watching one of her races. I mean, she was just dominating the competition. Was she killing it? Killing it.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna tell you what uh Jimmy the Greek said. Because black people was bred to be athletes. That's true. I'm gonna look that up, dog.
SPEAKER_00That's true. But again, I mean, like, I watch some of the Winter Olympics just because again, I don't just I don't just zone in on the Summer Olympics because it's all different types of all different types of stuff. I'm not I'm not gonna even act like it's really yeah, but you know, some of those, like you said, I watch Darrell Hill slalom ski. I'm like, that's impressive. No, all that stuff is. You know what I'm saying? It's it's very impressive, you know.
SPEAKER_02But okay, name me a slalom skier. Is Lindsay Vaughn slalom? No, I don't know, but take her out.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
Fame, Family, And The Glorilla Question
SPEAKER_02Okay, now 92 quarterbacks in the Super Bowl. That's my point. Now that's true. That's true. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Exactly. No, you 100% true on that. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. With uh Summer Olympics is just more dominant. Yeah, no, it definitely, definitely. A lot more events in the Summer Olympics, too. Even if you don't think of you, you know people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, that's that's and I won't name track people because I watch track. You watch track, but I still know other people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. No, I I get it. Like with the swimming, you know, famous people doing the same thing. Right, right, exactly. But it's just again, I I still get amazed at just the different types of sports. A lot of them I just feel like I like the uh what's the one I like the snowboard.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, when they be doing the uh half that's good. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00That shit is crazy.
SPEAKER_01I'd be like, man, how do they grade this shit? That shit is dope.
SPEAKER_00Listen, I would rather do that because I feel like snow is softer than that damn snow. Shit, that's shit is that ice.
SPEAKER_02But like if you would do would you rather would you rather do the snowboard jump or or the uh just the wide world of sports? You remember the wide world of sports? Oh, the one where he's oh the the the the ski launch.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the snowboard.
SPEAKER_01Definitely the snowboard man. Nobody doing no ski launches. Man, that's up in the air like is crazy. Trying to hold that position.
SPEAKER_00But you see that you see the outfits they put on, right? They make them aerodynamic so that they up there and it's supposed to help them fly.
SPEAKER_02You see, somebody just got in trouble for the like uh for their package, yeah. It's making the area around the dick, like put extra material. It got something to do with uh like aerodynamics or something. Oh shit. What the hell? Another guy, I don't know if it was the Netherlands or Australia, allegedly. Don't sue me. It's one of them countries though. Yeah, they got in trouble. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Make yourself look like he got a bigger package?
SPEAKER_02No, it's no, it's it's all the air aerodynamics. So those is it's just like tracking. It got something to do like with other airflow in there.
SPEAKER_00They have to be a certain type of material. They gotta be a certain type of so they they put extra material down there, right? You can only have so much because because again, someone could probably invent a suit that's gonna make you fly an extra three feet or whatever, you know what I mean? Give you that advantage, okay. But it's just like it's like race cars. Yep. They gotta be a they gotta meet a certain criteria because they come check them motherfuckers right after they do. Exactly. Everything at two and a half. They're like, you don't they they try not to give nobody an extra advantage. So you don't your extra advantage is your skill.
SPEAKER_02So where are we favored in uh are we favored in anything in the because the the chick the Lindsay Vaughn you know she got a tornado? She ruptured her ACL and she's still gonna try to skate. No, I'm gonna tell you why though. Do you know why? Money. Yes, why ten million dollars? Yes, damn. Like her all her like collectively, our sponsors and stuff. Uh-huh. Pan her, ten million dollars. She's gonna land on the other leg? It don't make no difference.
SPEAKER_0010 million. Because really, you can she only got two races. Two races, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So really, no, no, she's uh downhill downhill. Oh, the one that's yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So, but really, I got a figure skater I can name. Uh Christi Yamaguchi. Wasn't that a figure skater?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think so. I think so. Tara Lipinski.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I remember that name.
SPEAKER_01I don't remember none of them until I see her. Uh I don't even remember half of them. Who's the one that Who the one that got beat up?
SPEAKER_02That's what I'm trying to think.
SPEAKER_01Tanya Hardy.
SPEAKER_02Tanya Hardy. That was the one that that did the beat up. Yeah, she's the one who got beat up.
SPEAKER_01Speaking of that, I'm glad you said that.
SPEAKER_02No, Tanya Hardy did the beat up. She did the beat up.
SPEAKER_01She hit her with the crowbar. Hit her leg. Nancy Kerrigan. Nancy Kerrigan. That's the one that got beat up, right? Yeah, Nancy Kerrigan got beat up.
SPEAKER_02All right, look. Have y'all ever seen that movie, Itanya? No. Oh my God. I told you I'm a movie buff. Listen, it's about Tanya Hardy. Okay. A great movie.
SPEAKER_00I've heard about it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh, it's been out a while now. Yeah. It's been out a while. Aitanya, since it's the winter Olympics, Dashaw's homework assignment. Out there in Podcast Lane. Watch Aetanya. That is a good movie. And also watch uh, again, I just need as many people to watch Christy. Because everybody's always talking about Sydney Sweeney, her bosoms, and all this stuff. This is not that Sydney Sweeney. I think she deserved an Oscar nomination. Is it not on video? I mean, it probably is, not screaming? Yeah. It's just called Christy. It's about uh the boxer, Christy Martin. Oh, yeah, okay. Oh, okay. Great, great movie. Uh then guess what snuck up on us? That's in the theaters now. Strangers. Chapter three. Chapter three. Yeah, that's out.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02And there's another one out. Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna play I'm gonna play the trailer right now. Come on. Well no, this the strange stranger's chapter three. But here's one from the let me see. Listen to this trailer right here. Listen to this. The name of this is called Whistle. Oh, why is it? Dying is not a choice. Hey. So that's yep, that's what they're saying. So they say that if you hear the whistle, you're pretty much gonna die. Crazy, huh? How crazy is that?
SPEAKER_00That sounds pretty crazy. That was a good thing.
SPEAKER_02I want to say, dude, I've never seen any up until now, I never seen any trailers. This is my first time even. I didn't even know it was out. I just happened to see um Strangers Chapter 3 came out and I saw whistle pop up. So I was like, damn, let me hit the trailer. And when I saw the trailer, you know, I'm all in for scary movies. I was like, damn, that looks interesting. So I guess I guess it's supposed to be pretty good. I'm gonna go check it out. I wanna go see strangers and I wanna see that uh whistle.
SPEAKER_01It could be good, bro.
Money Boundaries, Trusts, And Payroll
SPEAKER_02Yo, I know, huh? It's uh let me see another movie out is uh I think it's I think it's Kevin James.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I did see something he got coming, something coming out. Yeah, I know I watched what I just watched, I watched Relationship Goals with um Kelly Rowland. It's on it's on Pride. Yeah, I heard that was good. That's out now, huh? Yeah, it's out. I watched that the other day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it just got released, too. Because it's who is it? Uh Kelly Rowland and uh Method Man. Yep, yeah, I heard that was which is kind of crazy to see a Method Man play a role like that, but yeah, you know Wasn't he supposed to be like the ex-boyfriend? Ex-boyfriend that I mean they could be for a job, etc, etc.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's called uh Solo Mo. That's the one with Kevin James in there. Solo mo uh Dracula I don't know about that's what I'm saying with Dracula. I'm like the new Dracula? Solo meal? Huh? Solo wait, solo meal? Yeah, oh nigga said I told you I can't see nothing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, solo mo.
SPEAKER_02You see, I can't see. Yeah, that's why I'm gonna. Hey, what do I always say in the text? I said, I don't trust my eyes no more, right?
SPEAKER_00Hell yeah. AJ be having AI be having everybody messed up now.
SPEAKER_01Hey, speaking of AI, I did go see. So it's called Solo Mio. I went to see Mercy. I like Mercy. Mercy is good, ain't it? Yeah, I like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but check that out. Mercy is good. I like him as an actor, though.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Mercy Watch is good. I was watching a show on Amazon Prime, he did Terminal List. Oh, really? Yeah, it's pretty good. Huh. So far.
SPEAKER_02I'm trying to think if I Terminal List.
SPEAKER_00No, no. It's called the Terminal. I did see that movie Terminal. It was a he's a Navy SEAL. Oh, damn.
SPEAKER_01That one and Dark Wolf. Yeah, I watched the Jason Staton movie just because it was on it came on my fire stick. Oh, Shelter? The one with uh J Low, him and J Lo. It was an older movie. Oh, Parker. It was called Parker. Yeah, Parker. That movie was good. It was good, man. Hell yeah. J Lo was throwing herself at that dude. He was just like, hell no, man. I ain't got things. I ain't got time for you. She's like, I never had a chance. Man, I died laughing. I was like, J Lo just wanted to marry everybody.
SPEAKER_02And what if she did? What if she threw herself at you? I had to take her down.
SPEAKER_01Would you marry? No, I wouldn't marry her. Hell no. I already know. She divorced people all the time. No, I ain't even wasting my time with all that. Yeah. She just wants to be married. I think she just she just wants to be in a relationship to be married. And then she gets in a relationship and then figure it out. Oh, this ain't crazy.
SPEAKER_00I heard Holly Berry crazy, though.
SPEAKER_01Huh? I heard Holly Berry crazy. She might be. Fuck it. I fuck crazy. I don't marry crazy.
SPEAKER_00Oh. Hey, real quick, I do have some pop culture stories. And this is gonna lead to a question. Okay. So I don't know if y'all heard this whole Glorilla thing going on. You heard about it? Oh. Alright, so what's going on? Supposedly Glorilla's sister came out and said that Glorilla didn't help the family with money. Even though Glorilla rebuttal and said she did, but you know how it's going back and forth with all that craziness. Even her brother said, Yeah. He hadn't talked to her in like four years, even though he helped put her on. Oh wow. And she still, you know, don't help put them on. And Glorilla, like she Glorilla's sister was on TMZ. They was interviewing her.
SPEAKER_02So she didn't forgot where she came from, pretty much. That's what her sister probably was. That's what they were saying.
SPEAKER_00You know, even though Glorilla's out here saying, Yeah, she did help buy her dad a jaguar and all this type of stuff, but her sister's basically saying, nah. Well, her sister is hood as shit, right? So that at the end of the interview. Baby D. At the end of the interview, they was like, so what would it take? You know, say Glorilla had two million dollars, what would it take for her to basically, you know, earn your trust pay? And Gloria and her sister was like, Yeah, she just gave us like$2,500 a piece, something like that, which was crazy, which is crazy, right? Right, right. But$2,500 or$25,000?$2,500. Watch the interview. Watch the interview. You're not cash outside right now. Exactly. But this leads to my question, though. You make it big. You you Steve Rilla. Now you you done blew up. You you got, you know, you getting millions, you making money. You already know. Do you feel like you owe your family? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Why wouldn't I? I wouldn't be the person I am without my family. So my family coming first.
SPEAKER_00Coming first? Coming first. So how much are you gonna help them? How much are you gonna do? So let's just say I made 10 million. You got 10 million dollars.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm gonna give a meal to my brother, I'm gonna give a meal to my sister, and then I ain't giving no money to my mama. I'm just gonna take care of her. I ain't gonna give her a male.
SPEAKER_02But then after that meal, they cut off.
SPEAKER_01After that meal, hey, yeah, they cut off.
SPEAKER_02So now I done burnt up my million. Now I want to.
SPEAKER_01That's your fault. That's your fault. Okay. See, the way we were raised as a family, if I give you a million, nigga, you're supposed to come back with that million in a year and show me what you done did with it. Right. You're not gonna just get a million and then go trick that shit off and then come back for another million.
SPEAKER_00You were raised with nothing.
SPEAKER_01Right. Right. So when we get something, what do we do with that? We have to nurture it. We nurture it and we grow it. And then you come back and say, hey, this is what I did with my meal, bro. What you do with your meal? What you do with your meal, sis? Okay. You know what I'm saying? That's how that's how we do.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm gonna give you a spreadsheet of all the massage pilots out here. Okay, well if you did that, and now you done tricked off and you want 10 more meal.
SPEAKER_01You ain't giving it to me. No, I had to put them on the payroll. Now you gotta work for me. Oh, you oh now you gotta work for me. I'm still taking care of my family, but no, I put you on the payroll, but I'm not gonna just give you another meal. Hell no. You done already tricked off the first meal. Nigga, I gave you a million. You can't do nothing but trick it off.
SPEAKER_00I don't I don't believe in giving. Like I would help my family, don't get me wrong. But I don't believe in them, unless it's I got a significant amount of money, but if it's only$10 million, I don't believe in giving them that much money up front. Right. Does that make sense? Yeah, it makes sense, but I trust too easy. I trust my family. If I had a million, if I came from nothing, I trust my family.
SPEAKER_01I trust my brother, I trust my sister. So they're gonna give me a.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna put myself in a different situation. If I wasn't who I am, I'm not educated or whatever, I came from nothing.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna sit there and I'm gonna look at that million.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, bro, check your bank account. That's what I'm gonna say. That nigga gonna do backflips.
Super Bowl Picks And Hall Of Fame Shoutouts
SPEAKER_02But again, that shit is gonna get spent so fast, my you know, you know both of y'all gotta pay taxes.
SPEAKER_00Gotta pay taxes on it, but then you're gonna you're gonna want new taxes. So that million is gonna be like 700 something thousand. You're gonna want, like, okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna go on vacation.
SPEAKER_01See if I put a sort of those fees. Well, yeah, you now I'll give you access to the trust. So now we are the bank. I am the bank. Everything comes through me or comes through the trust. Not me, but to the trust. So you go loan, you go get them loan, you're gonna get a car, you're gonna get a big one.
SPEAKER_02I want I want a whole box of wild iris rolls. See? Right, right.
SPEAKER_00Man, you're gonna order what you want to order. That's a Thunderbird. I believe in putting, I believe in putting my family on a payroll. Right. Because that is tax writable. Okay. Because you done started a business. All right. Now you done put them under this business, and now you put them on a payroll. So now you can now play with that those all right.
SPEAKER_01Those numbers. Those numbers, right? Yeah, but just to give them Bro, hey, bro. I pay you 250 million. I tell you 250,000 a year, nigga. Exactly. I pay you 250,000 a year. If you can't do nothing with that 250,000 but come back and ask me for more money, something wrong. Something wrong.
SPEAKER_02No, see, I'm cool with that, with the paper, like with the 250. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But just be like, oh, a million, a million. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But it's gonna go up to a million. I mean, it's more to come. It's more to come every year. I'm living off the interest. We living off the interest.
SPEAKER_00As long as it's spit, right? Right.
SPEAKER_01You know, and she keep you gonna blowing up, you keep drugs recording and getting hookers, and now you ain't got no money, you can't wait till your next payday, nigga. Shit. Hey, bro, I'm taking you off the payroll.
SPEAKER_00But they ain't obligated nothing.
unknownHuh?
SPEAKER_00They ain't nothing, right? There's there's no obligation. There's no obligation.
SPEAKER_01There's no obligation, but you gotta be smart with it. Yeah. If you want more, yeah, you gotta be smart with it. That's all I say. Because if I know, if my brother came to me with the same scenario or the same thing, he'll be like, man, you gotta be smart with this money, bro. I'm gonna slide that over to you. Yeah. SPEAKER_02See, here's all the spreadsheets. See, I started off at 43rd and Glendale. Then I worked my up to 67th in Captain's.
SPEAKER_01I hit every massage parlor on that block. I went down the street.
SPEAKER_02And I don't start my route till after 9 p.m. Because then I know it's popping. You go at three in the afternoon, you don't know. It might be real. I don't want the real ones.
SPEAKER_03Oh man.
SPEAKER_00But, anyways, yeah, I thought it was just pretty interesting. And uh again, I don't know. It's bro. Hey man, it's gotta be. I mean, for the family, for her sister to come on TMZ and just put her on blast like that. Yeah, how you gonna put me on blast like that?
SPEAKER_01Like, she gave me$2,500. Like, call me. That's that's the problem. See, that's what I was saying. Because the sister feels entitled. The sister shouldn't feel entitled. She shouldn't feel entitled.
SPEAKER_00I think she does too, to be honest with you. She shouldn't feel good. When you listen to the interview, she's not very she gave me$25,000. She's very$2,500.
SPEAKER_02And she we from the hood. Yeah, but she let me let me say.
SPEAKER_01Man, me and my brother, we hustlers. Yeah, we would just talk about this shit. Man, you know how much money I could have made when it snowed in motherfucking North Carolina in Charlotte. We would have gone out there with our little snow blowers and got everybody, got everybody's shits cleared up, charging$25,$50 a yard, man. They would have been happy. They shut the city down for a whole week, man. Two inches of snow. Come on now. Come on, man. Miss me with that. Two inches, bro?
SPEAKER_02Two inches.
SPEAKER_01Two inches of snow, man. Get the fuck out of here. They shut the city down.
SPEAKER_02T Mz. They said Tory Lane sent uh Glorilla's sister$2,500.
SPEAKER_01I saw that too.
SPEAKER_02So now guess what? She can't say nothing. She can't say nothing. You got double your money. You didn't double up your money.
SPEAKER_00But like I don't know what Glorilla's net worth is. What is her estimated network? She got enough to give her family 20 minutes.
SPEAKER_01What they got to do with her sister, though? Nothing to do with the city. Exactly. It's your net worth. I tell my brother I'm proud of him all the time, man. So whatever he makes, he makes. Whatever I make, I make. But if I get blessed, man, please. I'm giving TM a blessed by.
SPEAKER_00Right now, it says her estimated net worth is between 1 million and$5 million. That's it. Which is really That's not a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot. It's not as much as you would think. Right. This the sister right there. I thought that was her brother.
SPEAKER_02Like I said. No, but you can say that she's real hood.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Because what's her name? Huh? What was her name?
SPEAKER_02No, I'm not saying no name. I'm gonna say, listen, I'm just this don't concentrate real hood. No, no, this is to her talk.
SPEAKER_00This is to her talk.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. No, I mean I'm gonna trust me. I'm from the hood. I know exactly how she talks. I'm just saying, this don't constitute to being hood, though.
SPEAKER_00I'm just sitting up here, like when at the end they asked her how much would it take? She said, about twenty five hundred dollars.
SPEAKER_01Twenty-five hundred. What you gonna do with that?
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Oh my goodness, man. This is just crazy.
SPEAKER_01What the hell? What are you obligated from? What's she obligated to do? Take care of her sister. Am I obligated to take care of my family? Just think about it, bro. That's what she's supposed to do. She's supposed to do. She's taking care of the parents.
SPEAKER_00She's the physicist.
SPEAKER_01I'm not obligated to take care of my siblings.
SPEAKER_02That's a good job. Fat X. What's the matter with that? I wouldn't expect my kids. Oh, she's from Memphis. I apologize, Memphis. My fault, Glorilla. Memphis.
SPEAKER_01Oh my God.
unknownHe's not. So here's something that's a good thing.

SPEAKER_02If my kid is sitting up here and they make it or they're making one to five million or whatever, right? I still do okay for myself. I'm yeah, I'm fine working. Yeah, my eyes, I raised them right. Because they made something to themselves. Yeah. I wouldn't, I wouldn't expect like, oh, like I'm just gonna sit here. Now, if they choose to help or do whatever, I'm not gonna feel like it's like it's an obligation.
SPEAKER_01That's good parody.
SPEAKER_02Now, if they make 250 million, man, they better take a look at that.
SPEAKER_00I need at least a bill, bro. Yeah, but they take care of people. But that's that's a different yeah, that's a different class. Now I I get it. But 50 million, one to five million, why? Yeah. I mean, we all like you know what I'm saying, we all want our kids to do better than what we did. Yeah, right. So that's that's ultimately the goal. She's just disgruntled. Right. So if she's doing for her father.
SPEAKER_02So if your parent is like Michael Jordan or LeBron James or like Michael Jackson, I'm like, shit.
SPEAKER_03You should have one.
