Forty Food Apps Deep With A Side Of Moonwalk
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The quickest way to start an argument with your friends might be a simple question: do you have food apps on your phone? We do, and we go deep on restaurant loyalty apps, rewards points, app-only deals, and why “free” food can either help your budget or wreck it. From Chick-fil-A perks to McDonald’s offers, we talk about how to use fast food apps, pickup ordering, and even fuel rewards without letting convenience turn into a bigger monthly bill.
Then the conversation opens up into everyday life in the Phoenix metro area, from how the Valley keeps building out to where you’d actually live if money wasn’t the issue. We kick around West Valley growth, east-side expansion, big employers like TSMC, and the weird feeling of living in a “big city made of small towns.” Along the way, we detour into Costco return stories, home theater upgrades, and what “immersive” entertainment is starting to look like.
Finally, we get into music history and the Michael Jackson biopic “Michael.” We react to the standout performances, the emotion it brings up, and the missing pieces that longtime fans notice right away. We debate creative choices, accuracy, albums like Off The Wall and Thriller, and even the eternal question: Michael or Prince? If you like real talk with laughs and strong opinions, hit play, subscribe, and share the episode, then leave us a review and tell us which food app and which artist you’re riding with.

Cold Open And Introductions
SPEAKER_05An old school.
SPEAKER_01Hey, where the white women at?
SPEAKER_05Just to let everybody know we still in the uh we still got the old intro just in case we get sued. Clay know about the uh the music business. Welcome to the nobody's talking podcast. We are here. Joe is late as usual, but he will be here, he said.

SPEAKER_07I sound real good in my car.
SPEAKER_05Real good. Hey, y'all know I used to sing backup for Luther. Luther? Because it wasn't Luther.
SPEAKER_07Didn't sing back backup for Luther. Luther. That's what we call them.
SPEAKER_05I ain't say Luther Van Droz. I just said Luther.
SPEAKER_01Big Luther or Luther Luther.
SPEAKER_05No, none of them. Just Luther. This was white Luther. Reaching out. Y'all gonna start disrespecting me in front of my company, dog.
SPEAKER_07Hey, you at the you at the kitty table today.
SPEAKER_05Hey, take that thing off. This is how we go back old school. You can put it in your lap.
SPEAKER_06This don't even look right.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I look like Kevin Hart.
SPEAKER_00Oh, hell.
SPEAKER_07This is going on the gram. Hold on. Let me look.
SPEAKER_05Don't forget to plug the gram. Nobody's talking podcast.

SPEAKER_05Put that shit on the gram. Anyway.
SPEAKER_01That shit on the gram, boy.
SPEAKER_05What y'all want to talk about? You want to talk about food apps? Y'all want to talk about it?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna talk about you. That's why you look like you've been picking cotton.
SPEAKER_07Alright, little dude. You just sit over in the corner at the kitty table. I can't even see you.
SPEAKER_06And he is in the corner. Alright, boy. Look. Hey.
SPEAKER_05Hey, y'all remember Barton, right? Who was the kid that came with the city? Roscoe. Roscoe.
unknownRoscoe.
Food Apps And Rewards Points
SPEAKER_05He looked like Roscoe. All right, look. How many of us have food apps on the phone? I do.
SPEAKER_08I got food apps on my phone.
SPEAKER_05You got food apps?
SPEAKER_04Like Uber Eats or Girl Hub? No. No food apps.
SPEAKER_05Like Mc McDonald's.
SPEAKER_01I was thinking about it.
SPEAKER_08Like all of them. I got them all.
SPEAKER_05You Joe?
SPEAKER_01They on there. I never used them though. I'm sorry. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Top of Jared. We talked about this at the beginning of the show before we started. I told them I don't have food apps on the phone. And one of them, I don't know if it was Sherad or Steve, said that I'll let you know why you should have it on the phone. That was it Sherrod? I think so.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Nah, I'll let you know why you should have it. Give me your feel. The reason why you should have it is because if you do happen to partake in an establishment, a food establishment, you want to earn points, right? You want to be able to get free shit. Okay. So that's why you have food apps. Because if you eat at this establishment, I don't care if it's Panda Express or whoever. You want to earn them points so that you can get a free entree every now and then. So how many points do you need to get to get the free? It just depends on the app. It just depends on who it is. So like listen, listen, I love, I don't, I have Chipotle in here, but I don't really eat Chipotle that much. I like Payway. Love Payway, right? I love Payway, bro. It's about the same as going to damn um Panda Express. And it's better than Panda Express.
SPEAKER_08It's better than Panda Express.
SPEAKER_07Exactly. It's about the same. So it's only 10%. That's what you said. Average is about 10%. Yeah. But then, like I said, if you eat at Peiway, I probably eat at Payway probably once, maybe twice every couple weeks or whatever. About six or seven times I eat there, but that eighth one be free. So if you eat at a place enough, that's where it starts paying paying back. I don't I don't eat anywhere enough. Well, that's what I'm saying. That's a lot of eating out, man. It is. Sometimes you eat it.
SPEAKER_05And that hey, that's why I was sitting up here saying I eat out specific reason.
SPEAKER_08I eat out at least once a week.
SPEAKER_05I don't want I mean I do. Like I do, but that devil is grin. I just don't want the I don't want the food apps on the phone. Right. You feel like, oh, they on the phone, I need to go. Yeah. Nah. Nah.
SPEAKER_08It's just that they own the phone and I'm going. So I'll be like, oh, well, I'm going then. We earn these points, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Right. Yeah. That's how I look at it.
SPEAKER_08What do we frequent? We frequent slim chickens. So, yeah.
SPEAKER_07So, I'm going to go to the bottom. I go to Subway a lot. Yeah, you get Subway, you get points. Chick-fil-A. Bogo. Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A always give away free stuff.
SPEAKER_08Chick-fil-A give away free stuff just to get me over there. Exactly. They send me a little message saying, hey, you got a free breakfast salad. Okay. I go get it.
SPEAKER_04Oh, at Chick-fil-A?
SPEAKER_08Hey, you know, I've been in this drive through 20 minutes, man. I don't even got hangry. Oh, we'll give you a free shake. Thank you. What kind you want?
SPEAKER_07Strawberry? Yeah, you go to Chick-fil-A. Sometimes you go like Chick-fil-A, you just randomly put up that. Oh, you earned a free breakfast sandwich. How many food apps do you have on the phone? Uh I got Chick-fil-A. I got Peiway. I got Sem Chicken. Burger King. Oh, I got free. Popeyes, McDonald's. God damn, nigga. I'm telling you. You better see where I go. Y'all better start earning these points. Not that much, really. Maybe twice a week.
SPEAKER_01You're spending$300 a month.
SPEAKER_07No, I'm not.
SPEAKER_01Bullshit. Add that shit up. Everything is$20 don't get you what it used to get you.
SPEAKER_07So you probably own to something. I'm just saying, yeah. If you go eat out, you might as well earn points.
SPEAKER_08Especially if you're getting it for the family. Yeah, you're not going to be able to do that.
SPEAKER_07I'll bet you that motherfucker spends$300 something a month. Nah. Oh, and you got kids? Bullshit. Nah. I don't spend$300 a month. Yeah, you do. I know I do. Hey, sit down in your little chair, stop talking to Just You over here putting stuff in my mouth. You don't know what I spend. Hey, yo. We're just doing this.
SPEAKER_06We're just making it a week at this point. And I think he set himself up for that.
SPEAKER_01See how much of a grin he had on his oh damn.
SPEAKER_06I didn't even kick the step about that. 30 more days. You got 30 more days to let that flag fly. Until then.
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah, it is. Until then.
SPEAKER_05I thought that was next month. It's June, right? It's June. Yeah, but June.
SPEAKER_02You don't want to know, nigga.
SPEAKER_05Joe, sit down. So we can't see you. Oh.
SPEAKER_07This nigga peak. Hey, when you sit down that pick.
SPEAKER_02You can't know that, nigga. It's just like two. Oh, you feel the eyes.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Alright. I kind of feel sorry, but then they get one day of some free chips. That's fucked up.
SPEAKER_06Ain't it on Tuesday? Oh, Tuesday. Taco de Mayo is on Tuesday. Yeah, Tico de Mayo. Taco Tuesday? Hell yeah. You get free chips and shit. Where that?
SPEAKER_07Salsa.
SPEAKER_01It's just one day. Name a place. Name a place. It's probably Philibertos. Yeah, you could hear the motherfucker. You and the blacks get 28 days.
SPEAKER_07Oh hell. The Negroes. That's what they call it. Negroes.
SPEAKER_06You like that place? What barrio coin? Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Sorry. I've never been. I don't really care about that. I never been either. I've been one time and it was like, you ain't like it? It was, it was, I didn't, it was mid. I like Taco Queen. Where's Taco Boys? Yeah, Taco Ball. Taco Boys. Taco Boys.
SPEAKER_01They're putting up another one. Where's Taco Boys at?
SPEAKER_05It wasn't really 91st. But it's a Taco Boys right there on I-17 in there. There's a few of them. It's one on uh Taco Boys. I 17 I-17 in Dunlap. Right next to the school, right? Yeah, right. Right. Like not too far from uh castles and coasters. Check it out. They got an app. Add to the list. Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_08How many apps you got? I said I got 40. 40 food apps? For real? Yeah, for real. I don't know. I think I deleted the motherfucker. Nine. 18. 27? 36?
SPEAKER_04God, but that's kind of that's like juice. Yeah, that's juice. The smoothie place, but uh.
SPEAKER_05Oh no, I mean, yeah. No, I mean like Jumba juice. Like food. Yeah, no, that's not real. Jumba juice is a food app. Yeah. No, I mean it is, but I'm talking like McDonald's, Burger King, I got them too. Hungry Howies, Panera, Salad and Go.
SPEAKER_06I like Hungry Howies. So, what even is the point of having like Jamba Dash Grubhub now if every every restaurant has its own app? What's the point? That's why it's delivered. Yeah. Oh, they don't know. No.
SPEAKER_08For the most part, they don't deliver, they make you come pick it up.
SPEAKER_06So wait a minute, wait, wait, wait, wait. So you can order Burger King on the Burger King app and then have them DoorDash that shit. Yep.
SPEAKER_08Sure can. Lazy motherfuckers. Motherfuckers. How do you think they keep doing business, man?
SPEAKER_05I don't even want to talk about like the Grubhub DoorDash Postmates and all that. Jersey. Jersey Mike's Jimmy Johns. Hold on.
SPEAKER_07Keep going.
SPEAKER_08Uber Eat none.
SPEAKER_07Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks.
SPEAKER_08You ain't got none. Oh, my shit deleted.
SPEAKER_07That's why I have to start my phone over almost every morning.
SPEAKER_06Let me double check what I got. Yeah, that's what I'm looking at.
SPEAKER_07Let me see one motherfucking food app on your phone. I'm gonna talk about you.
SPEAKER_01That nigga spent$99 to get a free shake. For real. Hey, that's it.
SPEAKER_07$10 you don't have to spend.
SPEAKER_05You say I'm right.
SPEAKER_08I got$711. If you're gonna, I got$7-11 too. I got all the gas stations. Why you got why y'all got 7-Eleven?
SPEAKER_06Quick trip. They give you circle King gas or something.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, they give you points off on gas. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Sometimes I gotta think it was uh 15, it was 15 cents. See? 15 cents a gallon.
SPEAKER_08That goes a long way. I got a quarter off a gallon.
SPEAKER_01Circle, man.
SPEAKER_08And all that's just from buying stuff. You know, if you're gonna buy like an energy drink or if you're gonna buy you something to drink like Gatorade and stuff, like when we go play basketball, I go right over to 7-Eleven, open up the app, get my stuff, and still earn points. So when I get my motorcycle, man, I go fill up and my gas is a little bit cheaper.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I got I don't have the fries app, but I got the I get the fuel points.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I got that. And Circle K. I got Circle K, too.
SPEAKER_06See, that's practical. That makes sense.
SPEAKER_03So do fuel. That don't make sense. Niggas at home.
SPEAKER_07If you go, yeah, but sometimes you don't cook at home. Sometimes you don't be spending money out of the channel. Let me let me see what I got at Winnie.
SPEAKER_05And that's the thing. Like I do, I'll sit up here, I will uh do takeout, but I just never think of doing the app. So that's all. I just go, I get it. Trying to save some money, you better do it.
SPEAKER_08Here's another thing. When you start building up points, just doing shit that you do naturally, right?
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Whenever I go like out of town, I don't even have to spend because I have so many points built up. I got meals on here. Be like, oh, let me go to Popeye's, let me go to uh Chipotle, let me go to McDonald's. I got meals already that's on the app. Say, hey, you got free meals. Like, oh, let me go go there, give you a free meal, and I don't even gotta spend no money for food.
SPEAKER_07Message? That makes sense. That makes sense. See, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_08I must have got I play a lot of basketball tournaments, man. I show I put everybody on my team on that. They was like, man, Steve, you got man, you hooked me up with them apps, bro. Now I'll be on there. I'm going to Popeye.
SPEAKER_07For real. You better get that. Sometimes you don't even need like points. They have they have certain stuff just for having the app. So it's kind of like the Tuesdays or whatever. Yeah. They have like rewards. Like you can go on Burger King app. They have rewards or just offers just for having the app. So you might get like$2 off something rather than having to pay full. But is that price? Is that does that$2 off stay, or is it like a limited time off? No, it's like you just give them a code. And it's like, okay, you're going to go McDonald's. Yeah, you look like you got your rewards, and you're like, okay, or your offers, you pull up the offers, and it might say uh Whopper Mill, you know,$7.99.
SPEAKER_08$9.99,$7.99. Instead of$9.99,$14.99.
SPEAKER_07Y'all remember when that shit was$5.99? Oh, yeah. Damn.
Best Fries And App Deals
SPEAKER_08Yeah, no, that stuff is terrible. And you know when the McDonald's out, every Friday you get fries. Free Fry Friday. Oh, yeah? Yeah, so you might as well just go on in. I like McDonald's fries. You buy one dollar. If you spend one dollar, you get a free fry. So just go buy a tea and get free fries.
SPEAKER_06Who has the best fries? I know you said you like McDonald's, Bosco.
SPEAKER_05Dell Taco. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Dell Taco does have friends.
SPEAKER_05Del Taco got good fries.
SPEAKER_07I never had Dell Taco.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, they do. Because they fresh. They usually give them to you fresh. So as long as they give them to you fresh, Dell Taco, and it's gonna be Canes. Canes.
SPEAKER_05Chick-fil-A fries is good. Chick-fil-A's fries. But we won't count then. We're just gonna talk about it.
SPEAKER_07I mean, it used to be good back in the day, but they're not gonna be a good thing. Ever since they went to that skin on shit, it's like something changed. I was fries in the house and slept on it. They're okay.
SPEAKER_05I don't like them like uh Dell Taco.
SPEAKER_08I'd rather have it McDonald's from from Slim's Chicken.
SPEAKER_05What about their little dessert jars?
SPEAKER_08Oh yeah, you already know that. I never had a dessert. Strawberry cheesecake.
SPEAKER_05I got one of these for Joe to drink out of. See, y'all got so y'all skinny. So I did a bypass it. That'd be looking good though. No, this is his. That's mine. I just I'm just saying, I got two of them. Is that the brownie? Up in there.
SPEAKER_08Huh?
SPEAKER_07Is that the brownie one?
SPEAKER_08Strawberry cheesecake.
SPEAKER_07Strawberry cheese, man. That brownie one. You know, I don't do brownies.
SPEAKER_08I still haven't had it, huh? Unless they're girls.
SPEAKER_07Ah.
SPEAKER_06That one took me a second.
SPEAKER_05Wait, what is these cats talking about? Booty hole. Are y'all talking about eating booty? No. I knew y'all were some booty liquors. Oh, man. Shit.
SPEAKER_06I've been man. Boot liquors.
SPEAKER_07Since hey, listen, since before Omarion or whoever was talking about eating the booty like groceries. That was Lil Wayne, wasn't it? Nah, that was uh that was Omarion, Chris Brown, and uh Janae. Hey, that's right, Janay Michael. Yeah, you're right. You're right.
SPEAKER_06You're right. Yep. Okay. Yeah, I didn't even know what I was doing, but I liked it. Did you hit the wrong hole? No, no, no, no. No, it was intentional. I'm just keep looking. It was intentional. I just didn't know what it would do. So it was like, what does this do? What does this button do?
SPEAKER_08Hey, you see that motherfucker tighten up?
SPEAKER_06He's like, oh yeah, girl. And she was like, you know what you're doing right now, right? And I was like, yep. She was like, oh, okay. She likes it. She just let you continue. She keep going back. She was like, okay.
SPEAKER_00Dirty bitch. That's the right way to get it. That was ice.
SPEAKER_04That's the right way to get pink eye.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_07Now you be looking at people with pink eye. I know what you did. You a grown-ass man with pink eye. Right. I know what you did. Hope it was worth the booty.
SPEAKER_05You sitting in the grocery store, you see a cat with pink eye, you like you too.
SPEAKER_06Nah, you don't even say that. You just give him that look like that look of solidarity. Yes, booty.
SPEAKER_02Huh?
SPEAKER_05You can. See, you do it wrong. That's funny. If you slip up. Oh shit. I say two of them. Just because they say they was good for that.
SPEAKER_01I always thought you got it from pubic hair.

SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_08You go into the jungle. If you go into the jungle and that shit swoosh.
SPEAKER_05So if it if it's big and bushy, you ain't going down there then?
SPEAKER_01No. You said we just gonna part the reach. You get it from the straight hair, like you know, you don't get it from eating sisters. They shit a bounce right off your eye. That straight shit pricked you right in the eye. I'm dead, dog.
SPEAKER_07That's why Joe goes on there with doggles.
SPEAKER_05Hold on.
SPEAKER_00He can't touch you.
SPEAKER_05What you put those on for? That's like um, remember that time on Martin's when he pulled on and he was like, You gotta you gotta go to work on when uh I think it was she was Vera, you gotta go to work on Vera's feet. Yeah, I thought I thought it was Myra. It might have been Myra, you might be right. Myra was the one that uh Myra was the one that was getting her her feet. That shit was cool. SPEAKER_01Yeah, you can change Raymond. You know, I can't spin.
SPEAKER_07You can no, you stay right there where you at. Right there, Joe.
SPEAKER_01I gotta turn all the way around. I can't jump my neck. I gotta spin around like a spinning top.
SPEAKER_07I don't know, man. He turned his neck like he got a brace on. That's funny. A life on where you're gonna do it.

unknownNo.
SPEAKER_07No, all those all those mattresses made by one or two, and they just slap different labels. That Brooklyn bedding over there, yeah. Man, they make Brooklyn bedding, purple. They might even make Casper. Oh, I thought Casper and Purple were the same thing. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. They make all that stuff. Oh, it'd be like one or two companies make all that shit. SPEAKER_08Gave him full.
SPEAKER_07It's crazy, man. It's crazy. Oh, so they're worse than Walmart, huh?
SPEAKER_08Yeah, they worse than that.
SPEAKER_07Why do they do that?
SPEAKER_08That's just their policy. No, that's their policy, bro. I didn't know.
SPEAKER_05I mean, obviously they're making money.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01You can take one back. I need a 99 entry, bro.
SPEAKER_08That's what she said.
SPEAKER_07Bigger ain't always better, Joe.
SPEAKER_01If I can't beat it up, I eat it up.
SPEAKER_00It ain't the size of the TV.
SPEAKER_05I do both what you watch. This is always the quality. We talk about food apps.
SPEAKER_00As the kids say.
SPEAKER_01It's called back page. It's the best kind of dessert.
SPEAKER_07What you gonna do with the page?
SPEAKER_01That's the new back page, is there?
SPEAKER_07What you gonna do with the 99-inch TV? What are you gonna put that on? What you gonna put them on? How big is your TV now?
SPEAKER_0885. Damn, nigga, that motherfucker takes the whole wall up. I can't see. I can't see shit.

SPEAKER_01But no, but you gotta you start adding all that shit in there.
SPEAKER_05That's when he was like, hey, I just might as well get a bigger TV.
SPEAKER_08You might as well just go bigger.
SPEAKER_07I'm real surprised. I don't know. He gets that bigger TV, he's gonna need more glasses.
SPEAKER_08That's true. What you gonna do with the 85 inch? You might as well get that to me.
SPEAKER_01I put in my dollar for a fucking uh uh dollar stove.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but what you gonna do with the 85 inch?

SPEAKER_08Images burnish screen.
SPEAKER_05I'm dead.
SPEAKER_01But I like I said, I had I progressed up. I might like my I still got my TVs. I got the 55, the 65, 75, and 85. So now I gotta get a 99, 100.
SPEAKER_07My pop got a hundred. He got that. So they make those. Oh, yeah. Yeah, no, they got it. Yeah, my pop got them.
SPEAKER_08Damn, that's crazy, man. I'm closing. That's because you need a hundred.
SPEAKER_05No, I don't. Close as I sit, 65 is good enough. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_08Nah, man, it need to be 100, man. We want to feel like we had the movies. That 55 looks so tiny, it doesn't look like a goddamn computer monitor.
SPEAKER_07So it's crazy how back in the day, you know, when they made them like the projectors, the floor bottles. It was like 50, the big booty. You go you walk into like Fry's Electronics or one of those stores, and it's like, man, look at that 50-inch TV. That was like a car. And it used to seem so big. Yeah. Now it don't seem like nothing. I'm like, man, that's just crazy.
SPEAKER_01No, when I first got a 46, I thought that'd be right.
SPEAKER_05But it was a they have one. I forget what the company is. It was big. It's a hard time. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_07Talking to the mic.
SPEAKER_05It was 120. Um 100, 120 inches.
SPEAKER_01Crazy. Damn. I got a projector too, but yeah, you may as well work. Yeah, I might as well get a projector.
SPEAKER_07Like I said, my pop got 100. That mug is big. I'm sitting here just like.
SPEAKER_08Man, can you imagine watching a game? You standing up. I won like you in the TV. Yeah. Like Kenny. I know. Kenny and D.
SPEAKER_01What did you get the you got? Remember they had the what was that? The Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_05You know how far 3D we supposed to sit back so far. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But if they had the Super Bowl and 3D again, I'd be right down.
SPEAKER_07They still do 3D TVs. No, I don't think they do it no more. I used to have one. Yeah, I had one too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05What about the the other one? No, no, that's the one. It's the broadcasting TV. Uh when we got this TV. Yeah, yeah. That that replaced the 3D. Oh shit. The 3D TV. Did you have to wear the glasses too, or no? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Oh, okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05It worked. It was it was 3D. It was cool, but yeah, it's yeah, 3D. I remember watching Jaws. Well, I think Jaws 3. I watched a game. A game one time was in 3D. Yeah. Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_07Nope. Yeah, because you had to buy like the Blu-ray, the Blu-ray 3D disks or whatever. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06You just spaz out. I remember 3D movies when that was a thing. Yeah, I'm not even.
SPEAKER_05I mean, it's okay, but I'd rather just give me the last last one I watched, it was because it was during the time. Okay. Yeah.
Immersive Screens And Broken Windshields
SPEAKER_07I know they um have y'all seen the place, Cosm? I don't remember what is that? So it's a place in uh, I think they have one in Houston, LA, like three or four different cities, but it's a big ass screen. And people go there and watch the games or whatever, like events and stuff, but it it immerses you into the game. Y'all haven't seen it? Nah, I have to tell y'all. It's kind of like IMAX theater. It's pretty much like an IMAX, but it's it's it encompasses everything. Yeah, it encompasses everything. Yeah, you seen it? Yeah. But if you don't want IMA. Well, is it like the sphere? It's not like it's kind of like the sphere, but not near as big. It's called Cosm.
SPEAKER_04If it's the one I seen, it like encompasses your peripherals and all that. Wow.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so they damn. So you seen a period think you like you at the game or something? Or that's why I feel like I'm about to get hit. Oh hell, start having flashbacks. PTSD and shit. Like, oh hell no, coach, I don't want to go in. I'm too old.
SPEAKER_04It'd probably be dope if you saw like one of the Marvel movies or Star Wars or something like that. I think it'll be probably man.
SPEAKER_06That'll be an epileptic nightmare.
SPEAKER_05Just think if you sit up here watching a boxing match. Oh, you sit up here ducking. Trying to do that already. Just watching it head on, you start be like, man, you gotta dodge that, man.
SPEAKER_08God damn.
SPEAKER_06Hey, have y'all ever been in a car, speaking of dodging and ducking?
SPEAKER_07Have you ever been driving and something comes at your windshield? Oh, you know, you throw your hand up like it's like. Oh yeah, hell yeah. I be feeling so silly when I do that shit. Oh, when you kind of trying to dodge something that's hitting the windshield. That's crazy. That's what Arizona's known for, though. Man, broken windshield. Terrible.
SPEAKER_04I just got a new car, right? Congratulations. Thank you. And I ain't even made the first payment on it, and I already got a rock in my windshield, man. Oh, ready? Oh man. And it's moving too. It ain't like one of them little ones that you can kind of spread and I'm like, man.
SPEAKER_07That's dope, huh?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's pretty cool. Yeah, I like that, man.
SPEAKER_07That's dope. You said that's in the city. I know, hold on. I know they have one in Dallas. Uh Dallas and Los Angeles.
SPEAKER_04Oh, they're down there.
SPEAKER_07I think that they're talking about putting one in Vegas. You know, as big and and fast growing. That's on Salt Lake, too. As uh as this place is, I'm surprised we don't get like a lot of things. No, that's what I said. I think they're talking about building one here.
SPEAKER_05Because it's funny because we're big, like all the biggest, but we're still we're still slow. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_05Because I remember I heard Charles Barkley one time, and it did make a lot of sense. He said, uh we said Phoenix. So I get what he said. He said Phoenix is like a big city, but with a whole bunch of small towns. And it it is. Like how like LA is like LA. Houston is Houston, Dallas is Dallas. And we're the fifth, the fifth largest as far as population. But it's just so many. Like just think, you live like in Glendale, and then you got Peoria. And then they write up and you can be in Glendale, then you got Peoria, then you have uh Avondale. You have a good year.
SPEAKER_07But I think the same argument.
SPEAKER_06You know us, we just north, south, east, west. I think the same argument can be made for Cali though, or LA specifically, because I think even just in LA there's like six little cities.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. They I know they got uh they got like what like Costa Mesa and Oh, I have no idea.
SPEAKER_07I just know they got pockets that consider cities. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But it's but they they just seem like faster paced than us.
SPEAKER_07Oh, for sure. Yeah, no. I mean Hollywood. Oh yeah, it is Hollywood, that's where all the money is, right? So we are uh I saw with it.
SPEAKER_05Population wise, though, I mean we're spread out too.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah. Yeah because it's not really built up here, it's built out. Yeah, they're starting to try to build more up if you go down sound and you see all the like the condos and stuff they're building, yeah. Yeah, but it's kind of too late for that, right? So they can't really develop more downtown that they gotta build out.
SPEAKER_05And then at the time too, where didn't they have a a limit on how high you can go because of how hot they got here. And that's I don't think it's here anymore.
SPEAKER_07I don't think they have it anymore, but and when you think about downtown, that area, it's it's thick airport traffic. So when you fly in, you're flying right by downtown, so they can't really that way.
SPEAKER_05So downtown is weird. I know they're building the fuck out of the West right now.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah, they are. Buckeye is the fastest growing city right now. Is that Buckey's open yet or not yet? Not not Buckeye, Goodyear. Goodyear.
SPEAKER_06No, you might be right. Goodyear is the third fastest.
SPEAKER_03That was that Varado.
SPEAKER_05Varado, yeah. They're building the Harkins out there in Varado. Oh, are they? They're doing uh back up. They're doing marketplace.
SPEAKER_07Uh whatcha? Varado Marketplace. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right there, yeah. Like they got Desert Ridge, all that, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they got Desert Ridge, they got Tempe.
SPEAKER_08Now they got Varado Marketplace, which is uh yeah, square mileage-wise, Buckeye is larger than Phoenix. Yeah, I only know that I work at the oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07It is yeah, that that's so funny. Buckeye stretches so far south, yeah, you won't even know it. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, don't go into like the 300th, something like that.
SPEAKER_07300th Avenue. Yeah, yeah. It does.
SPEAKER_05And you still in Buckeye?
SPEAKER_08Still in Buckeye, bro.
SPEAKER_07You gotta drive another, I think, 10 miles or maybe five before you get to Tonapark. Goodyear's right by behind it, too. So Goodyear's yeah, it's all south. Goodyear is north and north and south. That's crazy, man. Like they West Valley's going to be. They built up like these million dollar homes on uh the Estrella Mountains.
SPEAKER_06So you know the elevation is high. Yeah, but it's south. I think whenever I had to drive up there, I call it I'm driving up south. Right. And all these all these elaborate ass, like I said, million-dollar like celebrity-looking ass houses.
SPEAKER_05Like going into the mountains and stuff.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that brings up. And and and they're all kind of in like HOA type environments, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07But I don't think they're HOAs. So that brings up a good question, right? So you know how Phoenix Metro. Everyone wants to live in Scottsdale. Like, if you from away, uh all they hear like Scottsdale, yeah, but living here, like if you if you had money, where would you build a house at? If you were staying in this area.
SPEAKER_08I like Barado.
SPEAKER_07Barado? Yeah, I like that. That's still that's west, though. I know. Yeah, so it's not you know what?
SPEAKER_04Uh we have to pay to be out there. Queen Creek, and there's another one.
SPEAKER_07Queen Creek. Apache junction. Okay, so he's going way to be. So you're going east. Yeah, you like it east, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But I like I like it.
SPEAKER_07Well, East Mark is out there, so yeah.
SPEAKER_03But what's the other one?
SPEAKER_07Um, Glend Creek. It's Cave Creek. Oh, Cave Creek, oh yeah, Cave Creek. Yeah, Cave Creek is no. I do Cave Creek. I said, I'll probably stay up here in Peoria area.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's what I said.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like Cave Creek, I'm cool. Cave Creek. Yeah, I'm cool with Cave Creek. But then like Glendale, Peoria.
SPEAKER_06I think I'd go like Maricopa.
SPEAKER_07Maricopa. You're going okay. Oh man, that's a lot of growth. Hell yeah. It's blown up, man. It is blown up, yeah. No, there's a lot of growth out there. Uh a client of mine told me that Apache Junction, because she and her dude just got a house. Uh she said Apache Junction's land is cheap right now, but it's it's about to hit a ball. Yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, like, I've been working out in Apache Junction. Yeah, I did my first guy. A lot of construction industry. So I I kind of know like Peoria. North Peoria, all that. Oh, yeah. All kinds of factories out there. Queen Creek, they're building all types of factories out there. It's it's it's crazy. Man, is it really that gonna be that much work though? Yes. I think it's coming. Yes. That whole TSMC factory, that whole area is being developed. See, okay, so here's here's my question. Like, why all this growth, all this building, and you got apartment complexes that have been built for years that have yet to hit occupancy or max capacity. Depending on what those apartment complexes are, right? So you go up here, I'll tell you right now, TSMC leased is probably about five of these apartment complexes. 100% leases for their employees. And they bring they bringing them in, they're bringing them in for Taiwan.
SPEAKER_06Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, yeah. Wow. I be seeing them all over like Safeway and there you go, Steve. So the one by all over the one by the old studio.
SPEAKER_07So the one by his the old studio? Yeah, that's 95% leased by TSMC. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08And I be wondering about where all the water is gonna come from. But you about to say do they have an app for that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, give me my Taiwan woman. Taiwan D.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01They got an app. I'll download that motherfucker. I'm gonna not download McDonald's. I never download that shit. It's called Tinder.
SPEAKER_07I'm dead, boy. How about you, Joe? What would you live?
SPEAKER_01What me? Yeah, if you uh I'll just find me a rent style.
SPEAKER_07Somewhere where you at?
SPEAKER_01With some land.
SPEAKER_07Oh, you want land?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I want to fly.
SPEAKER_07Out towards Wickenburg or something like that. No. You don't want to go out there? Fuck no. He said no.
SPEAKER_08I want to live out in the country, country.
SPEAKER_05I was just in Wickenburg. I drove. Earlier did they?
Celebrity Hideouts And Relationship Gossip
SPEAKER_01I don't know, man. They might run me out of Wicc. I was just in Wickenburg. That's hilarious.
SPEAKER_06There's some big ass houses out there. Yeah. I didn't notice until a few celebrities. Yeah. Oh, is it in Wickenburg? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Because like what it is is like, you know, they may live in like LA or or these places, but they like to stay out there because no one, like nobody really bothers them. There's actually a big I was just at a store.
unknownThey don't know who the fuck they are.
SPEAKER_05I forget who it was. Somebody, trust me, if you saw the store I was in, you was like, ain't no way in hell. It was like, oh yeah, they were just in here, I think, three. I was just in Wickenburg. They was just in here three days ago.
SPEAKER_07Wow. There's actually a big, like, big time rehab facility out there that a lot of celebrities. Oh, yeah, yeah. It is. Oh, a rehab facility.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it is a big rehab facility. Is that the one the sex rehab? Is that the sex rehab? What's a little bit of everything? Yeah, I think it's a little bit everything.
SPEAKER_01How do you how do you know if you addicted? What step you on when you get caught? I don't know.
SPEAKER_05GPT.
SPEAKER_01How do you know you're addicted when you get caught? Dog, no, I'm telling you. Every motherfucker I know addicted to caught, man. I think I heard. You're not cheating. I'm addicted to sex, motherfucker. I'ma go to Riga. That's your last card, though. Oh, hey, you play that motherfucker in the rescue.
SPEAKER_06Speaking of cheating, here's some here's some celebrity shit y'all didn't think I would know about. Uh this nigga Klay Thompson over here cheating on Meg. Y'all hear about that?
SPEAKER_08Oh, yeah. I did hear about it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Yeah. With who? She put him on blast. To who? I don't know that much of the deep the story.
SPEAKER_04He ain't said nothing, so I was I don't know. But apparently there was uh there was a lot of things.
SPEAKER_05So what did the uh what did Meg did she say he cheated on with some broke chick?
SPEAKER_01I believe it. I don't believe it. Niggas can't help.
SPEAKER_05Did she say that uh he was broke? Or now he was broke.
SPEAKER_07I never I never understood the relationship to begin with. They're two high-profile people, right? So you got you got Clay Thompson, who is a NBA baller. You got Meg the Stallion, who is obviously a music icon, you know, music sex icon. I don't believe in those type of relationships, bro. I just can't I can't get with it. Why can't he just go get a normal chick?
SPEAKER_01You get you won't you like what you like, nigga? If you can get that bitch, you would have her too.
SPEAKER_08I wouldn't hear that shit.
SPEAKER_05But listen, I don't believe in the man I'm regular. Would you talk to Meg DeStallion? Would I talk to her? Yeah, I talked to her.
SPEAKER_07If I was, yeah, I would, I would. But I'm I'm a regular dude. So I'm gonna put her on a pedestal. Right? Why? Clay don't have to put her on a pedestal. Why? Good question. People were putting clay on a pedestal. Now why? Why? Because she got money, huh?
SPEAKER_08Just because she got money? You a gold digger.
SPEAKER_05Yes. You like you like being a gold digger? You like being fluid out? You wanna live, you wanna live?
SPEAKER_02What y'all doing?
SPEAKER_07Oh my god, flew flew on me out for the hell this weekend. Uh what y'all broke in the niggas all of a sudden.
SPEAKER_05Month for big old month for rent. Month for big yesterday and I had to pay the board.
SPEAKER_06That shit hurts. That shit hurts.
Reacting To The Michael Jackson Movie
SPEAKER_05Oh, that is that's hilarious, bro. First come around, you be like, damn. Now, speaking of celebrity singers, let's go to Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_06Let's go to Michael Jackson. Let's go to Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_05Got me working, working. We done seen all the movies. We done seen the most recent movie, Michael. Has everybody seen it?
SPEAKER_02Yes. Yeah. Yes.
SPEAKER_07I mean, we ain't gonna we ain't gonna spoil it. No, no, no. I think we gotta spoil this one. If you haven't seen it, why the hell haven't you seen it? Twice. Niggas.
SPEAKER_05I mean, people know what went on, but I still don't wanna mess it up for people.
SPEAKER_08If you haven't seen it, I know I know how the movie ends, Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_04Damn. Damn. Right. Right.
SPEAKER_05Damn.
SPEAKER_06Damn. Spoiler alerts, Michael Jackson. Right.
SPEAKER_05I know, dude, that uh was Joe Jackson. Man. Coleman Domingo. Is it Coleman? It was Coleman Is it Colin or Coleman? Coleman.
SPEAKER_07Coleman. Coleman.
SPEAKER_05Coleman Domingo?
SPEAKER_07He played the hell out of that. If you don't win the Oscar for sporting that nigga, I'm being a good thing.
SPEAKER_05He did good. He did good. Yeah, no, he he played that role great.
SPEAKER_08I'm like, man. He did, because he made me want to slap his motherfucking ass.
SPEAKER_07And Jafar. Jafar did his thing. Man, he did his thing. Oh, he did. He did do Michael Jackson real good. Like Christian was saying, like you close your eyes for a second and you just be like, Yeah. Damn. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Anybody get a little touch? Like, damn, that's Michael. Of course, man. I was gonna say, I know I didn't, but you know, don't pay attention to Joe. Joe, Joe said he gonna cry.
unknownI ain't got no tear ducks.
SPEAKER_05I didn't tell you. I got another make you cry, Nick. I said I think I know some stuff that might make you cry. What?
SPEAKER_01Alabama losing again.
SPEAKER_05Uh damn, let me see. If Nick Saban said he's gonna uh come back to Alabama, and then he said he's not coming.
SPEAKER_01Fuck that nigga, he can quit. He quit like that on us. Let me see what else. Any shit wrong with his ass. Fucking Joe Pa stay. They had to prop Joe Paw up on the motherfucking dude. Nigga. He's still coach. We're gonna keep it with Michael Jackson's TV. All right, then let's not get me in rant and rave with this. He's about to cry. See? That's what I'm saying. What am I gonna cry about?
SPEAKER_07It's all good.
SPEAKER_05No, but then listen, that man, that was a good movie. Yes, it was. Hey, tell me this though. How many of y'all like LaToya?
SPEAKER_04I like LaToya, period. I mean, but then I like LaToya.
SPEAKER_05Okay, now well, first off, here's some questions. Through that. I know Janet wasn't part of it.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_05I had no idea that Jermaine wasn't part of the uh part of the tour. That's when he had already seen.
SPEAKER_04No, no, no. Actually.
SPEAKER_05Or did they because see that was some of the stuff to where I was getting confused. Let me clear it up. I also want to know where the hell was Reeby.
SPEAKER_04Reeby didn't sign on, Janet didn't sign on, and Randy, which they be confused, they'd be making me mad because they be using Randy Jackson picture off American Idol and not Randy from the Jackson. Isn't that sad? All right, man. Put some respect.
SPEAKER_05Because listen, because there's really there's six boys, right? Ain't it nine kids all together?
SPEAKER_07Nine kids, three girls. Well, actually, ten, but oh yeah, because Marlon has a twin, right? No, well, ten, yeah, between passed away.
SPEAKER_08Wait, wait, 12. Don't forget about L Cool J.
SPEAKER_05Oh my God. Go on, go on here, Clay. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_04No, but his daddy for real. See, the the this is the it's not the nitpick. And I know people don't like critiques, and they like, oh, you should just enjoy it. But like if you grew up through it and know what happened, you like, okay, it's a it's a great movie. No, I'm not gonna take nothing away from it. However, it's a bunch of stuff missing. Like a bunch of stuff.
SPEAKER_07Like talk about it. But see, that's what American Dream is for, though.
SPEAKER_04Right?
SPEAKER_07Because that's a miniseries, they can do more. Right. This is a movie, and I and and and I'll let you know. You can only put so much in it. You can only put so much stuff in it. And look who exactly produced it. His son, right? So he wanted to keep it somewhat PG.
SPEAKER_08Right. And he wanted to keep the focus on the music. On the music. Exactly.
SPEAKER_04And they messed that up too. I'll get into that. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_05Go ahead.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05You got the floor.
SPEAKER_04Okay. So to your point, you're right. But they actually shot a lot of scenes that they eventually had to cut out of it because of legal issues. So that's why it seems a little just a little bit off because you're like, okay, it went from this all the way to off the wall. And you're like, okay, what? I mean, you know, from the story, hey, he met Quincy Jones shooting the wizard. They had scenes with Diana Ross people got upset. And she didn't want to be in it either. She didn't want to be in it. So, but they had already shot the scenes. So then now you gotta retell the story from a different vantage point, which is why it why you got that final version, which I'd be interesting if they have a director's cut. But like for me, like music choices were like, okay, given what they had, um they had a performance, the performance scene of a pre-Motown signing, and they're singing Never Can't Say Goodbye. That's a creative choice. Like, I mean, if you a super fan, that's what I'm saying, super nitpicky, but you can't sing a song before you got signed. As like they're at a talent show before they got signed, but they're singing this song. Like as a fan, you like, okay, that's not right. Right. You know, and then uh what was the other scene? The human nature bomb scene, but that wasn't from the victory tour. They used all the sound and everything, that's from bad. If you that's bad era, you know what I mean? So certain things like okay, creatively, they had the license to do it, but for the average fan, it's not gonna make sense. But then for the people who are just getting introduced to it, you're gonna speak it as fact. That's why the accuracy for me has to be the accuracy for me has to be important because you're gonna speak it as a fact. Oh, in the Michael movie, it was this, this, this, and that. Well that's the movie, you know what I'm saying? That's the movie. If you didn't grow up and know some of that stuff, you'll be like, Oh, like for the average fan, like for the for the kids coming up, if you weren't born, if you were born, let's say, in the 1990s, that movie's perfect. If you a 70s, 80s baby, you're gonna know a mat automatically like what's missing because it's it's so much we grew up on.
SPEAKER_05It was because you sit up there and watch a little bit, and I know you're a little tapped in a little more than I am, but I was even like, wait. And I was like, man, you know what? I'm just gonna enjoy it. Right, right, right. Enjoy it. And you have to enjoy it.
SPEAKER_04Because I was sitting up here like, uh, all right, just go with it, just feel it, just go with it.
SPEAKER_07Exactly. And and realize, okay, that this man was a a genius for one when it came to music. His his you know, obviously his vocals, I I mean, it's hard to compare his vocals. You know, he had every single range imaginable, but then just the music itself, right? I mean, you I was talking to Homeboy yesterday, and I was just saying, you can be sitting in a hospital lobby and they play Michael, and you just start nodding your head, right?
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_07You just be like, okay, and then you be wanting to dance. Bad, come on, you want to get up and dance, right? And everybody knows the dance, everybody knows that, you know what I'm saying? But him popping and stuff. I was telling Superman before, you know, when we came here, I said Um Smooth Criminal is probably my one of my top three favorite videos of all time. When you think at think of it from a video standpoint and and everything it had in it, from the from the the acting to the to the storyline and then just the dancing, man.
SPEAKER_05Smooth criminal, that's Annie, are you okay, right? Anyway, you okay? Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_07So with the lean, with the dog. Talk about iconic dog, the lean.
SPEAKER_04I mean, and that's what it's it's kind of like this too, because I felt this way about the last dance with Michael Jordan, and it's kind of the same for me. Like, I wanted to see the practice.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_04I don't want you to gloss, I want to see the practices. I I know Michael Jordan is great, and it's like the same thing with this movie. I want to see him, and I know it's not a documentary, but if you're gonna recreate a portrayal, right? Like they could they did it, they they kind of did it, but they didn't deep dive into it. Like, that's the part I think people wanted to see more of. Like, he's so creative and such a genius, right? Like coming up with the dance moves, like his dedication to just doing it over and over and over, and you know, until he got it, till it was just a part of his his consciousness, you know what I mean? So it was little things like that. I felt like they could have expanded, but due to a lot of the restrictions that they had, I get it. But it's just like the like I said, the last dance, I was like, man, you know, you got all these bulls' practices and they only get like a taste. Like, I want to see, I want to see Michael be ferocious in practice.
SPEAKER_05I want to see him slap or Steve Kirk. That's what we wanted to say.
SPEAKER_04But I mean, that's more a documentary versus a movie, right? A Michael, Michael Jordan movie, they would they would probably have the same approach. Yeah, so I mean, yeah, for for I get I personally gave it a B plus just for those things that that was missing, but then finding out that they couldn't they couldn't come out with some of that stuff for legal reasons, which kind of messes it up too. It's like, man, y'all, I mean, y'all could have had that in like like two parts I know.
SPEAKER_07So what were these they are doing a second part? What were you expecting before you before you sat down?
SPEAKER_04I I wasn't expecting nothing. And I was kind of I purposely didn't watch a lot of the trailers because I wanted to be, yeah, I didn't want to be influenced by that's what a lot of times I don't like to yeah, I don't like to watch trailers if I know for sure I'm going to see the movie. But just knowing the story and knowing the details, like like I said, there was a big gap that they jumped from from the Jackson 5 to Off the Wall. Like you had that whole in-between of when they left Motown and signed with Epic Records and you know some of the trials and tribulations, they people don't know, like they was about to get dropped until like the Destiny album came out.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Because they weren't there was nothing that they were like, ah, okay. So Destiny comes out, then you have the Triumph album with his brothers, then you had, I mean, you had Off the Wall, you had Off the Wall, Triumph, and then Thriller. So if you're gonna cover that time period, Off the Wall probably probably I think is his best album.
SPEAKER_06Dude. No skips, dude.
SPEAKER_04Every single album.
SPEAKER_05But if you if I mean I'm cool with what like once, anything after thriller, I'm I mean, I'm cool with, but I'm like thriller before bad probably had the most hits, number ones, right? So then probably thriller then I know off the wall was I think that's when he was still with us. Yeah, no, he was with us. If y'all know what I'm talking about, y'all know what I'm talking about. But I think he was still with us, yeah. And then I get, you know, he was like, Oh, I want to I make music, and I get it. No, get your money and make music for whoever.
SPEAKER_04So there's a slept on album, like I say, man, like the Jackson's Triumph album with Can You Feel It.
SPEAKER_05If you listen to that, I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to listen.
SPEAKER_04That besides Can You Feel It, that that album goes, and that's in between that time period between Off the Wall and Thriller. Okay, you had that, and they covered that in the movie, they they did a good job of that. They kind of they they showed a little bit of that. But as far as like musically and Michael's vocals, Michael's vocals was tight, like his brother's vocals was nice on that album, like probably in between, like it's a precursor to thriller.
SPEAKER_05I wonder how much uh how much money he didn't made, like or the estate or whatever, or just from like his music from since the movie's been released.
SPEAKER_07He owned everything, right? All his yeah, do he own his masters?
SPEAKER_01I think Michael's estate still probably one of the most money-making things to this day.
SPEAKER_05No, probably, I guarantee.
SPEAKER_01Annually, yeah, he made more money than anybody annually, and he ain't even here no more.
SPEAKER_07Oh my god, he made more money being dead than he did when he was alive, ain't that crazy? You know, this movie just I mean, I've been streaming his music just this past week, just because I'm like, right there, right? I you know, I come in here humming it, man. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_04It's it's you know what's crazy though, man, and it's funny because the theme, like some of the theme for me the overall was like him versus Joe. Right.
SPEAKER_07I didn't like that too much.
SPEAKER_04I get it though, yeah. I get it. And just from the standpoint of I don't agree with the method at all, but the message, what he was trying to say, family, you know, stick together, yeah, and you protect it under with the family. I got it. Right, right. And it's funny because you know, Mike wanted to be on his own and have his own space or whatever. And it's funny how now they're still trying to do the the family, is still trying to do the same thing is make money off of his name. Yeah, like and no.
SPEAKER_05That's why Janet didn't want to do it. Because I mean, we all know I mean people can talk about oh, she married some Janet, even without the billion, Janet was fine, yeah, regardless. It was Michael, it was Janet.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, they were the two most talented, yeah, exactly. Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_05The other ones, I know, well, who has who has centerped? Was that Rebe? That's Reeby. Okay, so Reeby has Center Pede.
SPEAKER_07What did Latoya have? I can't even remember Latoya. Playboy, that's it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's yeah. Cause I'm starting to think. Yeah, I'm starting to think Jordan pop up on that. I didn't do Playboy. So who's the is Reeby? Reeby's the oldest, right?
SPEAKER_04Rebe's the oldest.
SPEAKER_05Isn't it like Reeby, Dan Jermaine?
SPEAKER_04Reeby, Jackie. Oh, and that's what you're talking about. So Jackie wasn't part of the tour initially because he got hurt right before the tour.
SPEAKER_05Because listen, so I know it's the Jackson 5, right? And it's six.
SPEAKER_07It's six boys with Randy. With Randy. With Randy. Because Jermaine was still with with Motown, right? So then so Randy took Jermaine's.
SPEAKER_05Even that part, like, like, because is that one when uh what man, what that's my jam. I got it in my phone too. That that Jermaine had. He's serious. Was that the fast one? Remember he had to get serious? Yeah, that's my cut. But then remember he had a slow jam. Yep.
unknownWhy you know?
SPEAKER_02That is my go on that one.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I was like, God damn, Jermaine. So was that around uh that was all during that that thriller time? Okay, so that's what I was thinking. Because now I know Jermaine was like, if my brother popping, well shit, I'm gonna pop. I ain't gotta pop like that, but they gonna get me. Well shit, I'm here at the record store, I might as well get Jermaine's stuff too.
SPEAKER_07So I was just looking, I was looking at the um the siblings in the ages, right? So I was looking at the siblings in the ages, and what Rebe's what 74, and I think it was Jermaine.
SPEAKER_05So you said Rebe 74?
SPEAKER_0774. Okay, and Jermaine, I'm trying to think who's after Jermaine. Was it Tito? Tito Tito's and Tito's dead.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_07He died, what, 2018? Okay. Oh no, no, like last year. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05So T so Tito, Tito, and Michael.
SPEAKER_07And then no, Marlon's older than Michael.
SPEAKER_05I don't know how they like as far as age. I know Janet is the youngest, already. Yeah. Yeah. Mar Marlon was a year older than Michael.
SPEAKER_04Marlon, Michael, Randy, and then Janet.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. So and then, so Michael's dead, Tito's dead, Joe, obviously dead. Yeah. Mom's mom's dead. Hey, too. Hey, didn't she still? Did mom pass?
SPEAKER_05Catherine's still gone?
SPEAKER_03KD.
SPEAKER_05Alright, man. Give me some buttons if you can.
SPEAKER_04Give me some butt if you can, Katie.
SPEAKER_05Man, hell yeah. But I mean, I know when I saw Bubbles, I got excited.
SPEAKER_07I heard Bubbles is still alive. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's in a he's like in some uh some and Michael's still paying the bill. Uh yeah, the estate's taking care of him. Yeah. I think in Florida.
SPEAKER_04It's amazing, man. Jafar did such an excellent job. Man, like there that that there was some scenes like you like, like you said, man, you looking and you like dude. It was you gotta blink a couple times.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I started sending people, I'm getting all like, oh hell. No, damn, I miss you, Michael.
SPEAKER_06And see, the the crazy thing for me, I was one of them kids born in the 90s. Like, I was sitting there watching it getting emotional. Yeah, and I don't really know the history like that.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but yeah, it was it was surreal.
SPEAKER_05I forgot already. What was what we supposed to look like? Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_07Michael Jackson mama. But again, that's I think this is what the movie was made for. So it can come back. Like we talking about it, right?
SPEAKER_04That's the crazy part, man. And I and I really trip off of it because it's like kids now, like y'all have no idea, but y'all rock with him just like we did. Like kids born in 2022 or four, they rock like you know what I'm saying? Like they rock with Michael Jackson, like they're little kids, like four or five years old. Man, he been gone almost.
SPEAKER_05She was born in Alabama, Joe. Clayton. Clayton, Alabama.
SPEAKER_07Clayton Alabama. He's been gone 16 years. She's 95. 2009, right? Yeah. He was born a week after my oh he he died three days after my summer.
SPEAKER_05Joe Jackson passed in 2018. Say 10 kids. Reeby, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Latoya, Marlon, Michael, Randy, and Janet.
SPEAKER_04Y'all ever seen the black dynamite?
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_04Well, Michael J. White? The Michael Jackson White? The cartoon one.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Never mind.
SPEAKER_08Must be funny.
SPEAKER_01Oh, the black dynamite shit's funny. Animated ones? Yeah, animated ones.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that motherfucker funny, boy. Yeah, they did a Michael Jackson episode, though, real funny. Yeah.
Michael Jackson Legacy And Prince Debate
SPEAKER_07Yeah. With the dad. Oh. With the dad, basically. He was an alien. So it was it was funny because yeah, the dad was popping out all the kids and they was all talented. And then when Michael was born, um, you know, mom was laying on the bed and the light came shining through the window. The next day he was born, he's like, I knew he wanted my time, but he was talented. That's just so funny, dog. Yeah, no, it's funny.
SPEAKER_04It's just, I mean, it's amazing, man, just how talented Michael Michael was, man, and his reach. Because it's not just it's global, man. Like, this dude is global all over the world. And still. No internet. Listen. No, no internet.
SPEAKER_05No, no. Like, how did all them people it dog? Right. No internet.
SPEAKER_08Through the music, baby. Through the music. Strictly off the music, man. Hey, that was just like NWA. Strictly off the music.
SPEAKER_07Man, I probably would have fainted if I saw Michael. Don't try to look at me like that.
SPEAKER_02Michael's.
SPEAKER_06I'm trying to think. Would I actually get starstruck? And I I think I probably cause I'm Michael. I'm really not the Michael, I don't mind the celebrity hype, but yeah, it's a family. It's a family clean. It probably is. What nigga? Turn into a hoe bitch.
SPEAKER_05Uh I'm trying to think. I was gonna say maybe maybe Samuel Jack, no, but Denzel Oprah? Yeah. Yeah. Michael Jordan. Yeah, Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan, yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, no, they just Janet, definitely.
SPEAKER_06Oh no, Jamie said he said when he would look at Prince.
SPEAKER_05They don't seem like real people.
SPEAKER_06No, no. Jamie said when he would look at Prince, he turned into a fag for two seconds. Alright, what you what you take? Joe, you're at you already touching now. You take it. If you had a no, that was a joke, people. That was off his his stand up.
SPEAKER_07If you had an option, I might take a cute Michael Jackson's thriller red jacket or Prince's purple ring.
SPEAKER_08Oh the thriller red jacket, bro. Thriller. No, I'm Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_05I'm Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_07Joe.
SPEAKER_05I was even as a kid, I was Michael over. I started to appreciate Prince as I got older. Older. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_07I'm the same way. You know. Prince was probably more talented with more talented musician, right? Overall musician. Instruments and all that's right, right, right. Right.
SPEAKER_04I give him producer, man. Yeah. Just production. Yeah. He could play every instrument. Yeah. Prince was dope.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, Prince was he was a bad dude.
SPEAKER_04We weren't allowed to listen to him because after stuff, man, was expensive.
SPEAKER_05Like little red or back. You start thinking about some of that.
SPEAKER_02Mama knew, but little red for the case.
SPEAKER_05I'm thinking about some of the songs. Yeah. I remember walking around the schoolyard singing Secret Lovers, like not paying no damn attention. I'm just saying, like, you know how like the slow songs or whatever you would send it. I was like, wait. So you get older. And then you start. And I'm like, man, I like the I don't know, the Secret Lover song came on. I was like, man, I remember singing this. Like, what the hell was it?
SPEAKER_07You didn't know one damn thing about it.
SPEAKER_04There was a song, man. Me and my sister got in so much trouble singing. We didn't know nothing about it. It was a it was a group called UTFO. Oh, okay. And they and they had this song called Master Baby. And the harmonies on it. Master Baby.
SPEAKER_02My mom heard us one day, like, what is y'all singing? Master Baby. Mom, you know, she listened to that. She's like, Y'all ain't listening to this no more. I gotta look that up.
SPEAKER_05That is that was my cut. Yeah, man. Well, shit. Oh, well, you know what? Prince Song's head was like that. Yeah. His what? Head. Oh. Man, Prince had a hoe, man. Remember, they said wasn't uh like Little Red Corvette? Yeah. Wasn't that that nasty? And uh and then that we remember he had that if I was your girlfriend, dog. Prince had some cuts too.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So now insatiable. Oh yeah. I love Prince. But like I said, I started like him as I got older. Yeah. Then I look back, I was like, damn, Prince was a bad boy.
SPEAKER_01I still don't know what starfishing coffee is. Hey, I'm still taking Michael Jackson. Can you explain that to me, Clay? What the fuck is Starfish and Coffee?
SPEAKER_05I'm still taking Michael for the Starfish position, maybe?
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_01That nigga said Starfish and Coffee.
SPEAKER_05I don't know. Maybe the Starfish position. Yeah. We're gonna look all this stuff up.
SPEAKER_01If you set your mind free, maybe you understand. I still don't know.

SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, the first one was pretty good. I don't think I've ever seen the first one.
SPEAKER_07They tried to uh, no spoilers, but they tried to spin the block on the whole storyline, but it still worked. Oh, I don't even remember the first one. But it's on Disney Plus. Yeah, yeah.
