Welcome back to the podcast! And welcome to 2021. Hopefully this year will bear some sweeter fruit than its predecessor, but it’s important to remember that things happen because of a reason, and for a reason. Take COVID, for example. It happened BECAUSE of the gaps in our preparation for pandemics, and it happened FOR our ability to reset, reassess and start anew.

I was so incredibly lucky to begin How Good Are Humans! in a pandemic year, largely because I was based in New Zealand (which was recently assessed as the most competent country in handling the COVID pandemic). Appropriately, this first episode of 2021 is actually the very first episode that I recorded. We are unveiling Kim and her husband, Eoin, who are the brilliant husband-wife combo behind Earth Love NZ.

Based in Canterbury, New Zealand, Earth Love is an eco store with a presence online and at local markets. But Earth Love is a level beyond your average eco store, and this has a lot to do with the passion and expertise that Kim brings to her business. Visiting her store—which has an array of eco products capable of green-retrofitting your life after a single visit—will see you well educated on the best use of your newly acquired green thumbs.

Kim and Eoin seriously practice what they preach, which includes participation in minimalism challenges, and regular refurbishing and repurposing of household items. Listening to this podcast episode, or seeking Kim out via earthlove.co.nz , will not only see you motivated to lead a greener life, but also empowered and equipped.

Kim features in a recently published eco article that I wrote for Latitude Magazine’s Feb/Mar 2021 issue, which means that we are now able to release her podcast (I sincerely thank her for patience!)

Please enjoy!

.

How Good Are Humans! will be getting a slightly new feel this year, most probably after the release of next week’s episode. Stay tuned!
