Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Rick H show. Um currently watching game five of the New York Knicks. Um it's just the uh stream today. We're just live streaming while I watch the game. You guys can leave comments, you can subscribe, you can have open discussion with me, whatever you'd like. I'm testing out this brand new TikTok mic. Everybody keeps raving about. Let's see how it sounds so far. So good. Um loving it so far. Nick's on a commercial break right now, which is perfect. And the score is currently New York 83, Atlanta 65. Comfortable lead in the third quarter with three minutes 31 seconds to go in the third. Now I tuned in now on purpose to live stream for the fourth quarter. So let's stay tuned to that. Um, let's see what's going on. How's everybody feeling? How's everybody doing? How are we doing today? In this miraculous, beautiful day. It's pretty good day today so far, I must say.

SPEAKER_08

Should I do that? Play something for you guys from yesterday's episode. Should I do that? Should I really I don't know. We're live streaming right now. Waiting for some more viewers to pop on.

SPEAKER_07

Um I just turned on the stream right now. I'm gonna let it stream. I turned it on to really capture the fourth quarter, so that's kind of what I'm hoping for. So let me just uh first of all mute my mic and I'll be right back. Is the stream back on? We are back. Let's put some volume on this game. Hopefully, YouTube doesn't cancel me or anything. Kind of dirty, my shirt. Shout out to Queen's House of NYC for this hoodie. It's it's sick. Like, if I show you guys the back, it's pretty cool.

SPEAKER_08

Look, got Jason Brunson on the back.

SPEAKER_07

Well, I'll show you guys later. Two minutes and 45 seconds to the third. Welcome to the watch party. Welcome our people on Facebook. Welcome our people on Twitch, on Kick, on the YouTube 8365 Knicks. How you guys feel about the series? If the Knicks win this game, I'm going to say that it was a good thing that they lost those two games to Atlanta. The reason being is it kind of woke them up, it kind of made them think like, hey, we in the playoffs. Oh, come on, that's a jump ball. There we go. I apologize if I'm commentarying and you guys like are on an advanced screen. I have a really my TV's on delay, and every time I do a live stream or live watch with Jason, his screen is always advanced, and mine isn't. So uh I apologize for that. Is the game playing or not? It is 8365. It's on uh NBC. For those of you who can't, by the way, the NBC broadcast for me has been pretty phenomenal. Um, super old school. Mixed up by 18. It's a loose ball foul. On who loose ball foul on Alvarado? I never seen that on a jump ball. That's uh crack of shit. It stops the clock and it gets them points. Very interesting. Let me know what you guys think. Leave me a comment, leave me a message, ask your questions. Uh, should I continue doing these watch parties throughout the playoffs? Last time I did it, we lost. There we go. He missed. Push the ball up. Looks like they're running the offense through cat, like they did in game four. And go ahead, cat. Play your size foul. Let's go, baby. Let's go. Let's go. A lot of people are tuning in through the Facebook. That's very interesting. Very, very interesting. You guys can leave a comment if you want, ask a question, or put a poll up. Thank you for tuning in. It's the Rick A show. We normally air Mondays at nine o'clock, but we will be following the next playoff series. You can catch Jason and I on Tuesdays at nine. Yesterday, we did like a flip-flop. We recorded the 2 a.m. crew yesterday, and today I'm doing a live stream on the Rick A show. Um, we got a lot of fun stuff coming, right? Jason's got featured conversations coming, he's got first class, second place. When that comes back, I got an additional pot I'm working on besides these two. Um, so we're just trying to give you guys different types of content on this show, specifically, the Ray Gay show. We do a lot of interviews. Um, we get to hear other people's stories, get to learn some of the background uh stories on how people have changed careers, some people who have made a living of their passion. We will interview a lot of creatives. I've been doing this podcast on this show for about uh I'm gonna say since 2018. Um, we've got over 240. What is this? Would be 242, I think. What's up, Rob? Rob, we're live on the YouTube. If you want to join us, uh this is episode has to be 242. Um, I know we are at episode the next episode at the 2AM crew will be episode 45. So, yeah, I've done over five six hundred episodes of podcasting already. Um, between this show, the 2 a.m. crew, shows that I've been a guest of, and stuff that I've produced. Oh, Mark Messier is in there 8768 Knicks. Just trying to create content, you know, just trying to stream. This show, the Rick A show, is a little bit more rebound. There we go. It's more about me, my life. Um, where I'll be giving stories, uh, and lessons that I've learned along the way. I mean, it's really transformed so many different times. This this podcast, it went from a sports podcast in the beginning to an interview podcast to a show about comedy. We did a like two, three seasons just on comedy. Good job, Deuce. Open three Alvarado, yes, bucket. Um, and then I I shut the show down. I I turned it into the 2 a.m. crew. We started doing a lot of episodes of the 2 a.m. crew, and around September of last year, I decided to bring the show back. So far, I've only interviewed two people on the return, which has been splue, and I've interviewed Jason Enriquez. But I plan on booking more guests, I plan on doing more with the Rick Aid show. I really do. Um, I created an episode that's just about my grandmother. Um, I wrote a second part to that. I have to plan out when I'm gonna do it. Um, and in that second part, I'm gonna probably have some of my cousins, so yeah, that's this is the story of this pod. I am a huge, huge, huge Knicks fan. Knicks were probably the first team I fell in love with. Basketball is probably my first love. Um, I grew up on John Starts and Patrick Ewing. Uh I cried during the 94 finals. I've said this before on all these pods. Um yeah, so it's it's really it's emotional for me to watch next games. So especially after we went to that stretch of like 20 years where we were irrelevant, but um, yeah. Who's your who's your your guys' favorite nick? Leave it in the chat, leave it in the comments. Let me know. And then Obi. That counts. Oh, you got him, yeah. Yo, I don't know who's paying these reps or they have money on this game, but that's wild right there. That is wild. Nick's up 18. That feels good, man. It feels good to say that. Nick's up 18. So let me lower the screen on television. Yeah, man. I I I remember growing up in the 90s. I'm gonna say 1990 was like my first year. I really watched basketball when I was enrolled in incarnation. It was um it was a sport I gravitated to. Um baseball was there, but uh basketball just became a thing for me, especially we played it a lot in incarnation, and it was like the popular sport in school, so you know it was pretty cool, and then and me being from New York and watching the Knicks play 1990, that's that's a long time ago, probably aging myself. Yeah, I was probably around six or seven at the time, watching the way they played, like I just loved it. Like, they were physical, they were aggressive, um, they were hard-nosed. It was everything New Yorkers identified with, so that's why I fell in love with the Knicks. Like, I really uh between Ewing, Starks, Oakley, Mason. I really was uh enamored by it, and and I watched avidly as a fan. And you know, growing up in Washington Heights, there was a basketball court almost everywhere, and that's what I played. You know, I should have listened to advice when I was young. There was a lot of people that wanted to teach me and expand my game and show me different moves and stuff like that, but I was really hard-headed and I didn't listen. Um, so I played it all throughout incarnation. I played it during high school. Um, never played on a team. I just pick up games everywhere, in tomorrow's everywhere, open gyms, wherever I could play, I went and I played. Um, and everybody was like a huge Jordan fan. So yeah, and I was from New York, and I loved being from New York, I love the city, and I gravitated towards the Knicks, so naturally everybody was rooting for Jordan. There was rooting for the Knicks, and the 90s was fun to watch basketball because almost every team was very good, and all the games were very competitive and just is not as fast as the game is now, but they were very fun to watch, it was very physical, and I also got into collecting basketball cards. That was the first thing I started collecting was basketball cards. So I say all that to say this, you know, this this is this show is about me, and one of the things that um I've always have felt like is a piece of me now, it's the Knicks. Um, so yeah, and that's like you guys 10 New Yorkers out of those 10, maybe eight or seven are Yankee fans, rest are Mets fans. Different scenario with the Jets and Giants, but 10 New Yorkers, a good nine of them are gonna be Knicks fans, or all 10 will be Knicks fans. So the last few years in the playoffs have been very fun to watch, and I mean they've been heartbreaks when the season's over, but this is uh I'm excited about them being in the playoffs and them playing the way they've played so far in this game and in game four. No foul on that ref wow, wow, rebound. Look at Brunson getting rebounds. What was the first sport you guys fell in love with? If you had to choose, if you absolutely had to choose between basketball, football, baseball, and I even throw in hockey. And there's only one sport you can watch in a foxhole. What's the sport and what's the team? Leave that in the comments. I want to I want to know the answer to that. Good live to Mitch. Nick's up by 20 now. Keep the pace going. Where's the contact there, ref? These these refs, man. These refs, man. I swear to god. So let me I'm gonna switch applications on my phone right here on the side. Welcome to the Rick A show. We're currently live on kick, twitch, Facebook, and YouTube, and now TikTok. So we're watching the game live. Nix up 94 76, 10 minutes, 27 seconds to go. Offensive foul on Bronson. Offensive foul on Bronson. Of course, Ralph. Stopping the clock, giving these guys fouls. I'm not about that, man. Jesus Christ. Last time I was live streaming, Melo joined me. And as soon as Melo joined me, Atlanta went on a run and we lost the game. So I'm not doing, I'm just doing solo streams from now on. Seven minutes ago. If we could keep a sustainable lead and get the get six minutes off this clock, we could uh close this game out. So here's the question I said on YouTube earlier. Out of football, baseball, basketball, and even hockey. That's a foul. Good job, Brunson. You can only pick one sport. What would it be? And excuse me, what's the team? Look at Clyde, two time world champ. Brunson is the first one. Made the second. Now he's gonna shoot the third free throw. You know what's interesting to me during the season, Knicks fans were saying we don't want let's trade cat, let's trade cat. And now 96-78 Knicks. And now when we're in the playoffs, cat is a huge mismatch for a lot of these teams in the Eastern Conference. We just gotta run the offense through them, get him engaged. Stay up on him, stay up on him. Atlanta's doing what they're supposed to be doing. Uh they're trying to get into the paint and draw a foul and get an M1. And they're looking for another foul on Brunson. And they're looking for uh open threes, high percentage shots, mid-ranges. They're down 16 with nine to go. Do you guys think the Magic are gonna shock Detroit in that series? Is this a 20 or full? I think it's 22nd time out. Nah, it's a full. That's perfect. That's perfect. We're going to the next segment. So yeah. Nine minutes to go. Who do you want to see New York face next? Now I don't know. Let me check this Boston score. Oh, the Celtics won. So that series is going to at least a game six. So the the Sixers won. So that series is two three. Hopefully, the Sixers can win another game. Extend that series as much as possible.

SPEAKER_05

But yeah, we are here. We are here.

SPEAKER_07

Personally, dinner with Jay-Z or 500,000? I would have took that 500,000. I don't even know how that's a question. There's nothing Jay-Z's gonna tell you value-wise, he might give you a nugget here or there, but there's nothing that conversation that dinner with Jay-Z that's gonna equate to the money value of 500k. Is he gonna tell you how to make a million right away? Is he gonna tell you any no? You're not, and you're not gonna get that in dinner in a sit-down dinner. You take that, you invest that into a business, you could multiply that. Jay-Z's thing is just a theory. Like, most Jay-Z fans, like, oh hove, you know, I'll be with Hove because Hove's gonna give me some information that's gonna help me be, you know, make money. No, no, don't do that to yourself. Hove himself would take the 500k if you asked him. Hove himself would take the 500k. So that's my question. I'll bring that back up. It don't have to be Hove, it could be like an influential person. Would you take dinner with that person or the 500,000? And let me know who that person is for you guys. Here we go, coaches challenge. Hawk's ball, goddamn. Oh, he didn't he had yeah, he only had contact with the basketball. I mean, he did hit it Jalen's head a little bit on that angle. Next up sixteen, nine minutes, twenty-one seconds to go. Rebound, very good. Rebound, very good. So dinner with Jay-Z or five hundred thousand. What y'all don't play? And it don't have to be Jay-Z, it could be another person, it could be dead or alive, Steve Jobs or whoever it is. Wow, what a play by Brunson.

SPEAKER_08

Why you give him the lane like that?

unknown

Come on.

SPEAKER_07

I tell you this much, we just gotta get this clock down to around four or three minutes. No father, ref. Jesus Christ. Come on, man. I wish it was a little late. Oh my god, he put him in the washing machine right there. What a nasty play by Brunson. Brunson's got twenty-eight tonight. Oh, beautiful pass. He airballed that. Come on, Clarkson, you know better. Nick Ball. The footwork that Brunson has is incredible. JB with the ball, double team. Again, mixing it on him. Oh my God. Poof and one. Wow. Come on, man. Let's go. The contact is there. Mello loving it. JB's got thirty. I think that's thirty for the game. Make that thirty-one. Let's go. Eight minutes to go. Yo, nobody picked that up in the corner. Good rebound. Let's go. Push the pace. Oh, come on, heart. Oh, Vincent, you don't want none of this. You don't want none of this.

SPEAKER_10

Three. Oh, my God.

SPEAKER_07

Let's go.

SPEAKER_04

Smoke 'em. Smoke him. Let's go.

SPEAKER_07

One oh six eighty two. Let's go. Defense.

SPEAKER_04

Rebound, let's go. Let's go. Slow down. Secure two. Oh, heart's going for a three.

SPEAKER_05

Let's go.

SPEAKER_07

Wow, what a teardrop from Chader and that three. You know, Atlanta. Give credit where credit is due. Atlanta came back. They didn't they didn't they didn't like stay down. They fought, but you could tell the Knicks are clearly the superior team. It's just the problem with all New York teams. They play to the freaking competition. Well, let me not say that. The Mets, the fucking Giants, and the Knicks, you know, like they play to the competition. Teams that's that the Mets, the Giants, and the Knicks are supposed to take care of, it's always like heart palpitations. But this was, I said it yesterday. This is a must-have do or die type of game. You let Atlanta get a 3-2 lead on you. That puts all the pre- I mean all the pressures on the Knicks right now. But you got you let Atlanta get a 3-2 lead on you. You're making it tougher on yourself. So I'm happy to see the way they're playing this game. They're playing a lot better than they did on game four. And I thought game four they did a great job. And I think in one of these games, one of these series, Mikkel Bridge is gonna have to have a McHelbridge's game. He hasn't. He's been sleeping, he's been dormant. OG's been consistent. Brunson's had his moments and he's been consistent. Cat, when he's involved, he's there. Josh Hart has played consistent throughout all the season all the games so far. I need to see more mikkel. Especially if we end up playing Boston. I need to see uh like uh one of those games where McKel just goes off and he makes a statement, and we could post that fucking picks again uh picture on social media because he hasn't been there so far, so we'll see. And I know OG's gonna have one of those games where he goes crazy because he's been terrific in the playoffs, he is a problem for every team. Well we shall see WNBA begins May 17th. The league's been getting a lot better, man. It's been getting a lot better. A lot more, you know. I watch it competitive, it's good. Brunson with 31 dancing on him.

SPEAKER_05

Let's go.

SPEAKER_07

Today he's doing his Jaden Bronson thing. Thirty-four points. Brunson is six points away from having another forty point game in the he's got eight so far. Forty point games in the playoffs. OG beautiful play. We need three more minutes from this squad, and then we can start rotating guys in. Cat's back on the floor, so I expect uh that two-man game with Brunson and Kat. Rebound by Kat, Brunson, and one.

SPEAKER_06

Quietly.

SPEAKER_07

Let's go. Five more points. Fourteen in the fourth. Cat's gotta get in here. Gay Vincent, you don't want none of this. Gabe Vincent, you don't want none of this. Atlanta's resorting to shooting threes. You gotta get Kat involved in this quarter, though. We gotta get some points. Continue to build on that lead. Here we go. Cat's got the ball top. Tried to force it in it's OG.

unknown

Fuck.

SPEAKER_07

We gotta get some points right now. What's going on, man?

SPEAKER_06

Go with the ball. There we go.

SPEAKER_07

Shoot that. Woof! Bridge is three. Let's go. Timeout Atlanta immediately. I was just talking about him. Pivotal, pivotal, pivotal game. We gotta close this out. I know there's a nice comfortable lead. Not gonna talk to us all. We play today, that means we play again Friday.

SPEAKER_05

Friday.

SPEAKER_08

I got a Larry Bird uh commercial with um the guy from Dallas, the rookie of the year.

SPEAKER_05

What's his name?

SPEAKER_08

Yo, I said it yesterday. This was a pivotal game, and it was a statement game.

SPEAKER_07

They needed to come out and win by double digits. Cause they need to send a message to the Hawks and the rest of the league. Philly lives to live to place one more game. Good rebound, my Brunson. Can we make clothes for your brand? Of course. Of course, send me a message. Three Brunson. Oh, reach in on Deuce. Damn, he's not gonna get forty. Good job by the captain today. Good job by the captain today. He's going straight to the locker room. He's getting treatment, I guess. Colick's in the game. Oh, that's the entire five came out. We got Kolick, Shaman, Alvarado. Shaman three, in and out.

SPEAKER_06

Push the pieces, eh?

SPEAKER_07

Thursday in Atlanta? NBA, how you schedule this? Damn, San Antonio's beating Portland sixty-five of forty-three. Jesus Christ. Oh, next rebound. Oh man, San Antonio released this guy. I don't know, he could make space, he's making some shots. So how doing his thing? So how one more time. In these minutes right now, he's making the most of it. I like Colox pressure on the point card. Look at the bench, man.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, get that colic.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, so on, give me too easy, baby. Hold that. Don't score.

SPEAKER_07

Hold that. Now that is over, we could talk. Three, two lead. Job's not done though. Interviewing Brunson right now. I just want to hear what he says. Jalen finishes with thirty-nine, eight. Eight assists, thirty-nine points. Twenty-two of them in the second half.

SPEAKER_06

Beautiful.

SPEAKER_07

Beautiful. Beautiful. TikTok, I'ma sign off. My last thoughts on the YouTube channel. Thank you for joining me tonight.

SPEAKER_05

It was terrific. Fifty-four views.

SPEAKER_08

There's a lot of likes there. Very good. Very, very good. Very, very good.

SPEAKER_05

I got tagged on something. Oh soda home run. From City Field.

SPEAKER_07

Let me see the Mets go. Eight nothing. Okay, so let me just say this, right? The Mets beat the Naz tonight.

SPEAKER_05

The Yankees should still be playing, I think. Yeah, the Yankees are up 3-1.

SPEAKER_07

New York Mets. I need 15 wins before I could have you guys even being discussed on this show. I need 15 wins from you guys. Great job tonight. You did exactly what needed to be done. Statement game. You won by a lot of points. You're going into Atlanta on Thursday, and you're going into with the mindset that you want to close it out. The Mets don't want to hear anything from you until you win me 10. And you go on a run. So good step in the right direction. I think you guys put a five spot today in one of the innings. Put a uh one of the innings, you guys put a good spot up. Seven in the fourth. Two men on. Bottom of the knife. Two men on, one out. And of course, he's on my fantasy baseball team, Bedner. So he might just shit the bet right now. Just because he's on my team. Can the Yankees make this a trifecta? Mets win, Knicks win. Yankees win. Let's see. Seekers had the plate. Turn two. One. Yankees win. Mets one, Knicks won, Yankees won. What a way to close out. It was a great night overall for New York, man. Um, Mets won, Yankees won, Knicks won. So let's just continue the good vibes. I'll continue live streaming during the playoff series. Catch the Rick H show. Wait, what? One. He did. They're reviewing the out at second. It's a legit out. Caballero. Nah, Caballero, that game over. Catch the Rigga Show Mondays at nine o'clock. If you want to be a guest on the Rigga Show, send me an email. Catch the two AM crew Tuesdays at nine o'clock. Then everybody have a great night. I hope you enjoyed the stream, and we'll see you guys on Thursday.
