Elliot Kallen is a mental health advocate and founder of the charity "A Brighter Day". Elliot shares his personal journey of losing his own son Jake and how that experience inspired him to create a platform that provides resources and support for teens who are going through similar struggles.
We discuss the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, and how parents can recognize warning signs and help teens access professional help. We also explore the different types of resources that A Brighter Day makes available to teens at no cost.
Listeners will leave this episode with a better understanding of how to support teens who are struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide, and with a renewed sense of hope that a brighter day is just on the horizon.
