Shayma Ghaleb is an MS & Gastropresis survivor, she is currently enrolled in nursing school and helps others to overcome their own difficulties through her motivational speaking. Zahra Huber is a former journalist and the host of the podcast Breaking Pita with Zee which highlights Arab-American, Muslim stories and lives. 

On this week’s episode we break down what it means to be an Arab in America, what it means to be a Muslim women- and why the religion is so misunderstood by so many. 

Shayma is Yemeni-American and is an outspoken advocate against discrimination within the community, as well as her own determination to overcome her illnesses and become a success.  Zahra and Shayma go deep into the differences between culture & religion, what it really means to wear the hijab & reputation vs character within the community.
