Show Notes

Welcome to Episode 14 of The Write Start. I’m Lisa Iannucci, and this podcast is all about becoming a successful full-time freelance writer. I’ve been where you are and where you want to be, so I’m sharing my many years of experience with you. You’ll also learn from my amazing guests about writing for different genres, finding ideas, finding work, pitching and more, but most importantly, you’ll learn about making money.

On this episode of The Write Start, my guest is award-winning author Jen Singer. This is an interview I know you’re not going to want to miss.

Jen was the founder of the MommaSaid blog, the author of multiple “Stop Guessing Yourself,” books on parenting, an incredible speaker, ghostwriter and writing coach.

In 2007, she was diagnosed and ultimately beat Stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and last year she fought a tough battle against Covid-19 which left her with a pacemaker. Through it all, Jen has documented her thoughts about her Covid struggles and progress and recovery through what she calls her “prednisongs” and her Heartbroken: Erratically Posted Thoughts About Life After Covid and we’ll talk about both of them. Her writing makes me laugh, makes me cry, and inspires me. She has inspired others in her keynote speeches. She has overcome some of life’s biggest struggles and continues to amaze and I’m so excited she decided to talk to me today because you’re going to learn so much.
