Good evening and welcome. God bless you, wherever you are tonight. Thank you so much for joining us here in church as you join us for coffee and communion as we just rest. We still need a cup of tea, you got a cup of coffee, whatever it may be at this particular moment across the world. It's just absolutely mind blowing to me. There are people watching this 1000s of miles away. I hope you can hear me loud and clear. Yes. So got the signals there. Thank you. Thank you so much. Yes, you are joining us. And we're going to go straight to Matthew chapter 14. And we're going to go into verse 15. And the word that I got for you, this this hour on this moment is also for me. And it's such a simple message for these moments, these 30 minutes, because we come before our Lord and our God and our saviour is handed over, just hand it over whatever is going on, in your lives and your situations around you just just hand it over. It's that simple. This comes from the back end of yesterday, in the scripture that was looking just as was closing the summer, yesterday morning in church, yesterday was a great, beautiful, a smooth morning in northern God and I thank God for your life because God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. But as we just gather around the scriptures tonight, if you can turn to the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 14, Chapter 14, verse 15, and it's about the feeding of the 5000. I mentioned it slightly yesterday, just a very, very slight mentioned that I really feel this is in my spirit. This is for so many people, hand it over what you have in your life, what you have around you. And don't get me wrong, it is not enough that we have that will sustain us and carry us through to what is coming. So everything in our lives, everything within our remit everything that our hands touch everything that we hold everything that we have around us handed over to God handed over to Christ, hand it over to the power of the Holy Spirit, hand it over and what I'm starting to realize as we look at this word, what does it mean to hand over it means to obviously hand it over enter to let go to leave it to, to give it to the other person to release it from your hands. There are many of us holding on to the grip of life, holding on to the grip of everything that we've got, trying to fix it trying to repair it trying to fix the broken Ness trying to fix the life trying to fix the children trying to fix us trying to fix trying to fix trying to fix when this is such a simple text. And it is about handing over it is about release. It is about coming back. It is about restoration. It is about leaving it with Christ trusting Christ. This This might sound absolutely barmy. But when you look at this text, it simply says, do you trust Christ enough? Now I'm referring to me, because there's only me in this room, there's only minutes recording room? Do I trust Christ enough with everything that my hands hold on to? Now to give him everything to let go? What did Christ say to the disciples that were fishing? He said, drop your nets come and follow Me. So there is a big, significant point to following Christ about what we have in our hands what we are trying to control, what we are trying to look after what we are trying to fix what we are trying to put into place what we are, our hands are so important, you know, what we have in our hands, what we carry in our hands, the way we drive our vehicles, the way we communicate. We speak with our hands, we talk with our hands, hands are absolutely everything. So and hands, I'm afraid to say grip on grip onto the life stuff. And Christ is saying let go just leave it tonight. Have you got the faith to leave it at my footstool? Have you got the faith just to leave it? Have you got the faith just leave it completely with me. So let's see what the scripture says. Let's take this nice and easy if you've got a cup of tea cup of coffee. I've got a coffee right before me about more cups of coffee today than I can ever count. But when we when we get into the Scripture, Matthew chapter 14, verse 15 is quite an interesting read. It's a simple read is a very powerful read. There's a lot in this text and we've got about 1520 minutes we got 20 minutes. Obviously you've got communion to get yourself some communion ready to go in just a few moments. But let's just let's just have a read together. People are still jumping online. Good evening and God bless you Mr. Donnie Stockman, I see you coming online we are in Matthew chapter 14 And verse 15. Let's read this let's, let's turn maybe you're just going to sit in the quietness of your home, sit in the stillness of your life and, and let me just let me just read this to you. Or you might want to follow this through in the in the Word of God with yourself verse 15 of Matthew chapter 14, the simple read in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, as evening was approaching the disciples came to him and said, This is a remote place and is already getting late, send the crowds away, so that we can they can go to the villages and buy some food for themselves. Jesus replied. They do not need to go away, you give them something to eat. We only have five loaves of bread and to fish they answered, bring them here to me, he said. Then he told them to sit the people down on the grass, taking the five loaves and the two fish. And looking up to heaven, He gave thanks, and he broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. All of them ate and was satisfied. And the disciples picked up 12 baskets of broken pieces that were left, the number that was sitting there was around about 5000 Men, besides a women and children, thank God for your word, Lord, there's a few things and in that scripture, and I just pray tonight, God will, through the power of the Holy Spirit for the power of grace and mercy and His love, that God will just open his word to you tonight, wherever you are, whether you're watching it on on the social networks, whether you're on YouTube, whether you're capture this back for a podcast a week later, they go out a week later. So you can capture everything back here, or whatever. And however you're capturing this at this very moment in time, I really believe God is revealing his word to you. I really believe God is revealing scripture to you like never before. I really believe God is speaking to you through visions and dreams. I do believe God is speaking to you also through people. I do believe God is speaking to you through sermons and teachings like never before. I believe God is chiseling and God is shaping you. And when I say you, I come into that as well. So I'm on the other side of the lens with you tonight. I'm on both sides of this, I'm here. Obviously, we're looking at this together, but I'm with you. I do not separate myself from you. I am a child of the living God, as well as you are, I am a son, you are a son, you are a daughter, or you are a daughter, and we are in the kingdom of God together. So there is no separation, there is no separation between us. Because when I speak, I'm speaking to me. And I'm speaking to my brothers and sisters and anyone online that's dipping, dipping their toe into into the Scripture tonight, or just coming across from different churches looking and wherever you are across the world. We welcome you with open heart tonight. But I am on this side of the mic and I'm on that side of the Lens Review. I'm speaking for myself. And also, I'm listening to what I am saying as well. So I am with you, and you are with me there is no separation. There is no separation. We are in this together. So every word that I speak, obviously comes out of my vocal cords out of my voice box. I hear it and just as you do, I hear it and I feel it just the same as you so there is no separation from us whatsoever. We are children of the living God. And that is what is so important. We are children of the living God. So there's a lot in this text. So as we go through this text, it says, Now I'm going to paraphrase a little bit for the for the quickness, the time, he says now evening was approaching and the disciples came to him. This is a remote place. I believe that there are many of us in a remote place that we are out maybe in the wilderness, the shops are closing, there's no fuel on the four coats. You know, there's a sense of drama or a sense of panic, maybe in lives and in situation, whether it's through skolan, whether it's through finances, whether it's through life, whether it's through sickness or disease, whether it's through relationship breakdown, or whether it's just family feuds, or whatever it may be. There is a sense that we are in a solitary place that we are, it says that very clearly says this is a remote place, and it's getting already too late. It feels that we are too late. Is there anyone sensing tonight that everything seems to be too late. Everything that we see that is happening where it's too late, the shelves are empty, so it's too late. The fuel is going up so it's too late. So we almost have a sense within that innermost BNF physical was that we are journey and it's too late. It's never too late with Christ. Christ will take us beyond the too late scenario. God will take us into that area into that wilderness. We've only got to study Christ ology, and we've only got to study the Word of God to find out that Christ was led from. From that solitary place, he was led from from the river when he was baptized, and it said, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit led him into where it led him into the wilderness into a lonely place. Sometimes we are and we have, and we possibly might be, at this moment in time being led into a solitary place, solitary or lonely place, a place of refreshing, maybe we are being led Psalm 23, even I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because you are with me. So we are being led, God is always leading us. We never really walk alone, as in we walk ahead of him. Yes, it might sense just like the prophet that what ran off over there. But let me let me remind each and every one of us that God has already gone before. So God already knows my footsteps, God already knows your path. God already knows every area of our lives, he knows where we're going to tread. He knows the area, he knows, every place that the soul of our foot shall tread upon. So he knows everything about us. So you might be like the disciples at this moment, you are looking at the size of the family, you are looking at the size of the bills, you we are looking at the size of the issues, we are looking at the size of the problem, we are looking at the size of the Army, we are looking at the size of the world, we are looking at everything, and thinking to ourselves, as these disciples were thinking, we don't have enough. We don't have enough, I need to change my vocabulary, I need to change my attitude, I need to change my speech, I need to change my language in the way that I present this. Because when I say we don't have enough, I am actually limiting, limiting what God can do. Because then I take out of the scripture, and I almost erase that to a degree don't get me wrong. Let me let me do a bit of footwork with this. First let me do a little bit of footwork. Now the Scripture says, My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory, My God shall so I've got to recognize that my God shall My God shall get me out of trouble. My God shall get us to that place, My God shall strength me in a solitary place, my God will feed me, my God will supply all my needs, according to his riches and glory, my God will do the miraculous, because if we believe from Genesis three to Revelations, we believe that this is a miraculous, working spiritual word that this word is beyond human understanding, beyond articulation, beyond complete computing, as the mind come beyond the philosophies of life, beyond the understandings beyond knowledge beyond beyond beyond, if we believe it, we have to come to a place of understanding that this is beyond what our human understanding can can bring to the table. So when it says in a solitary place, now, let's just just backtrack, it says, this is a remote place, and it is already getting late. I believe that there are many of us saying, It is getting late we are in the darkness, what in the world is happening. So when the disciples looked across the plains, they see 5000 men and plus women and children, the Scripture makes it very, very clear, it is not too late. Because what happens is faith rises and faith, arches and faith crosses boundaries, where the human language and where my knowledge will actually cease. So I might look at Russia, I might look at Ukraine, I might look at areas of life, I might look in the cupboards, I might look in the petrol for coats, I might look in all these layers of life and go actually, it's too late. Well, it's not too late. And I could actually look at that same platform and say, it's too late as a disciple said, or I and I could actually look at that same audience before me and actually say very clearly the other line that they said, it's too late, and we don't have enough and it's getting late we are far from where we should be. So as I look at this, it makes very clear reference to a few things as evening approach we are in the evening period. And I'm not just referring to the darkness and by the clock. I am also referring to the evening of what is happening because we are on a spiritual journey. The calendar and the clock has no forbearance on God's on God's timing. We follow the calendar we follow the clock by the Western world when actually we should be fun In the calendar and the clock of heaven, by the Word of God. So when it says the disciple says evening approach, the disciples came together and said, This is a remote place, there are many saints of God at this moment, this is a remote place. By saying that this is a remote place, we are cutting off our supply chain, we are cutting off our supplier, we are cutting off, we are isolating ourselves. And we are saying this is too vast, this is beyond me. This is this is beyond. It's too late, it's dark, the shops have sharp, I've got no food, I can't get no gas on to the card, or can't get no electric tonight, it's too late. There are many people in church and in the atmosphere of life, whether it's financial, or whether it's physical, whether it's relationship, whether it's church, or whether it's just understanding that we are in a roundabout way without our lips saying it but within our mind, and our hearts actually looking at our life and going, it's too late. It's too late. I'm in a remote place. Because when I say I'm in a remote place, I'm isolating myself, when I say it's too late. I'm isolated myself. When I say as what the disciples said, we don't have enough. Let's let's press on. Look, we've got to come to the table. But there is so much to gather in this scripture tonight. It says let me pick it up from verse 15. Again, I'll read it or read on a little bit further, As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, This is a remote place and it is already getting late. Send the crowds away so that they can go to the villages and buy some food for themselves. Jesus replied, they do not need to go away, you give them something to eat. Now, this is Christ speaking directly to the disciples. And I believe Christ is speaking to the leaders in the church tonight. And he has been speaking for many years and many generations, you need to feed the crowd that is around you. Now the reference point is feed them, you feed them. Now that has a spiritual, spiritual press with that, and I'm going to hold it but I'm just going to say a little bit on that. He says Jesus replied, Do not you do not need to send them away. You give them something to eat, there is a crowd around, decide around the disciples, I will change that there is a crowd around the church leaders that are hungry. And what the leaders want to do is send them away. leaders want to send them away the leader, and I'm saying the leaders I'm saying certainly it is but I have to fro to brush over. I have to fro to brush over everything here. Because we have to and it is for us to determine who are the ones feeding and though and those are the ones that are sending away. We have some that are feeding the lambs. And we have some that are sending them away. Well, how are they sending them away? Their churches are full the denominations are packed. The churches are large, they are growing, they are sending them away in a different way to what we realize at this moment. They are sending them away further from the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, because they are bringing their own understanding in to their, their their teaching, and they are not speaking about when they talk about when Christ says Feed my lambs. He is referring to spiritually he is referring to the Word of God. Now there is a crowd there is a crowd that is hungry. In denominations in churches. There are many that are hungry for Christ because Christ is stirring hearts tonight. Christ has been stirring for a long time. And there has been a change and we've been uncomfortable in certain denominations. We've been uncomfortable in certain uncomfortable sorry, rather, in certain churches because we haven't had the correct teaching. We've been hungry and that's not because we becoming complacent, not because I've had enough of this is because we are hungry for truth. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Truth comes from God. When I hear the word it refreshes my soul. It feeds me It strengthens me. It guides guides me. Excuse me, it is it is a path it is a like a psalm 119 105 Your word is a lamp unto my feet a light for my path. Your Word is like honey on my lips. You know your word if there is there is food there is fuel there. I don't like to use the word energy there is power. There is anointing, there is freedom in God's word. So when God's word is given and God's word is received, it gives me my spiritual fuel that I need. So the disciples are saying send them away. We don't want the responsibility of feeding them. We just want to look after ourselves. It is Let them go and fend for themselves. Let's just push a little bit further we're getting, we're getting close on the time for communion. And it says we only have five loaves of bread. And we only have two fish now. So bring them here to me, he said, and he told the people to go and distribute them and sit down on the grass, taking the five loaves and the two fish, and taking them and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and he broke the loaves. Then he gave them back to his disciples and the disciples gave them out to the people, they all ate, and we're satisfied, the disciples picked up 12 baskets of broken pieces, that was left over 12. Very interesting, the Scripture uses 12. And what we say here is Christ is saying to the disciples, we are His disciples, we are his children, he is saying what you have. And just like the disciples said, we don't have enough, we may be saying this without moving our lips, just through the actions of our mind and our thinking, and the way that we live our lives by by trying to hold back all the time trying to store everything and pull everything back in. We don't have enough, it's okay to say, God, I don't have enough. But when I allow the speech and the power of my speech to dictate to me, and it will limit me and it will put me in a box. So when I say God, I don't have enough, and I start to accumulate what I have that isn't enough and start to draw it into me, I tend to do this, I put fear inside of me, because I'm relying on what I have before me, in the physical realm in which I live in. But if I hand everything that I've got, if I look into the cupboards, if I look at the fuel pump, if I look at the fuel gauge in the car, if I look in to the hole in the wall and go on my lord, there's not enough if I look in a mortgage account, or a rent account, or I look in the, the Universal Credit, if I look wherever, and I say, Lord, there's not enough, what I cannot allow, is that line that I've said to hold me in the posture, and in the position of, of keeping me there's not enough, it's okay, like these disciples said, there's not enough. Now when I say there's not enough, I cannot hold on to what I'm saying, I need to release it. I cannot forage it and I cannot bring it in to my life anymore, and try to scrape through. What I gotta say is God, there's not enough. So what I have in this area of finance, what I have Lord in marriage, what I have in friendship, what I have Lord, in education, what I have in the fuel tank, what I have in the cupboard, Lord, what we have is not enough, we need more. Now that is not pressing the evangelical drum, or the Pentecostal preacher, name it and claim it. God give me give me give me that that is not what we this scripture is saying what it is saying is surrender everything that you have to the living God, because what I have, and very interesting, what we have, will never be enough. If I look at it in with materialize, if I look at it with materialize, if I look at it with fresh eyes, if I look at it at fear, it will distort my vision and all I will see is a small amount of lows and a small amount of fish. If I keep my focus on the small amount, I am limiting, not my God, I am limiting myself in believing in what my God can do. Now the Scripture says, Excuse me, My God shall supply all my needs according to Thy riches in glory. Now, if I look at my, it's not enough, I am not believing in what God is saying in His Word. It says, My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory, all my needs, not my once. So when I start to bring my physical stuff and everything in the cupboard, everything in the fridge and you understand what I'm saying, because I do it visually not that I'm capturing it in my hands on my arms and bringing it into one place because my eyes and my my ears I hear myself saying through the actions of the way that I live my life. Am I living by faith? Or am I saying I don't have enough? Let me tell you this, you have everything that you need, because he is your Jehovah Jireh he is your Jehovah Nissi he is your Jehovah shalom, your God, My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory. So that the key the key line that we are looking at tonight is what Christ said to the disciples. Bring it to me. Let's let's reference this ourselves. Not what I'm saying. But let's see what the what the Scriptures actually say for themselves. It says that we When even an approach disciples came to Him, they hit that remote place and it's already getting like they said, Send the crowd away, then go to the villages and buy themselves. Food. Verse 16, Jesus replied, Do not they do not need to go away, you give them something to eat. Then the disciples said, we only have five loaves of bread, and two fish, they answered, verse 18, of Matthew chapter 14, I'm checking my reference. He says, Bring them to me. God is telling me, God is telling you, I'm in this room, you're on the other side of that lens, and I'm with you, on the other side of that lens, God is telling us bring everything that you've got your loaves and your fish, the loaves and the fish are key to your lifestyle to my life. You know, bring the the small fish bring the small loaves bring everything that you got, and hand it over to me, Well, how do I physically hand this over to this invisible God? What do I do? The Scripture says, No one can see God and live. The scripture tells me that Christ is the image in the book of Colossians. Christ is the image of the invisible God. So I understand that I have the living words of Christ is before me, in written and in, in form of presentation through his word, so Christ is with me, but also I know that Christ lives in me, I know that His Word is living within me, I know that His Word is living within you, I know that you are a son, and you are a daughter of the living God and the Christ, the King of kings, he is your Jehovah, neither Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah shalom, Jehovah Nissi, he is your healer, he is your provider, he is your God. But what this simple text tonight is telling me and telling every one of us in the room out the room on the other side of the room, on the other side of the lens, is hand the fish and the loaves over, do not keep do not carry any more, your loaves and the fish because all the time I'm carrying the loaves and the fish. I'm going by what I see I'm looking with eyes like the disciples, they looked at the loaves and they looked at the fish, it is not enough. It is not enough. It is not enough. What we're going to do, how am I going to put food on the table, it's not enough to pay the rent is not enough to pay the bills. It's not enough to get us to school, it's not enough to do to, to do the school run. It's not enough to do to commute. It's not enough because the world is tightening everything down. And there are many of us looking in every layer of life looking in the purse, looking in the cupboards, looking in the fuel tank, looking in our cupboards of life and going. It's not enough. It's not enough. There's not enough money coming in. There's not enough. We're so used to saying there's not enough but now I've got to change my language around I've got to change my speech around and say, I see that there's not enough with my naturalised, but with my faith, I'm going to hand my complete house my complete life over to Christ. So tonight, Lord, as we come to the table, it's not enough in the physical. But my God is the God of the supernatural. My God is the God that cause the things that are not as though they are. So Lord, it is not enough in the house. It is not enough in the bank. It is not enough in the fuel tank, it is not enough. But I know that my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory. So God, I asked you that you did God, pay the rent, pay the bills, Father, stretch it, show us because that's what Christ did. That's what he done. That's what he showed that he took, what they had, everything that they had, and he simply held it up to the Father. And He said, Father bless this, I find this absolutely amazing that the fish did not grow in Christ hands the loaves did not expand in his hands. It's it says the scripture that he handed it back. But there is something powerful about the supernatural God that when he blesses your life, what you have on what I look at and go it's not enough, suddenly starts to multiply in a supernatural way that I cannot work the Bank of England can cannot work it out. We won't be able to compute it. But all the time I keep saying there's not enough loaves and there's not enough fish, I am limiting my faith not MY GOD because my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory. And the way I need to be very careful that I don't step into the prosperity preaching step into the name it and claim it. It's not about that It is a simple understanding that through these texts, God is a miracle worker, Christ is a miracle worker, the Holy Spirit do they do miracles, that is what they're about, not in the multiplication of the bank account, where we're going to look into the hole in the wall tonight, Pastor Ben said, go online, and you're gonna have 10s of 1000s of pounds, that is a that that will never happen. What I am saying very clearly, God made put someone in your life to give you a gift to help you get along the tracks of life, God might put someone in your pathway to gift you with something, but it's a gift coming from God. This is not about racking up 1000s of pounds in bank accounts. This is about walking by faith that I hand my loaves and my fish over to the King of glory. And when he hands back, the loaves and the fish, it looks the same in my hands. But it has anointing and it has blessing. And God will stretch it, because it's suddenly his responsibility to get me through because I am being obedient. Because Christ is saying, hand it over. We're at the table, we are at the table right now. So grab yourself some communion, grab yourself some wine, some wine or whatever that may be fruit juice, bit of bread, whatever it may be tonight, because it is symbolic. And I'm going to repeat myself a few times as we go for these next 10 minutes or so. Hand it over, hand it over, then hand it over. Sisters and brothers, whoever you may be across the world tonight, in the world of podcasts handed over, don't keep holding on to the loaves and the fish don't keep holding on to the small quantities. Because what the small quantities do, they rattle fear for my body, because I look at the small quantities. And I look at the glass and I look at the Jericho. And I say to myself, I cannot pay and get through with this, this universal credit is not going to help me this bedroom tax has crippled me this food bill this week, I cannot afford food. I cannot afford to go over and put a five pound back on my gas and I cannot afford to put any morning electric because when I look at the smallness, I don't limit my god, I limit myself, I put a put a frame around me and I boxed myself in when I go actually God, this money. It is small, but I believe that when I put it in, and when I convert it when I hand it back and when I bring it back and I put this 510 pounds in the into the system of fuel, Lord, you're going to stretch the five pound, Lord, the fuel that I have in my car tonight, Lord, I believe Lord, it is small in the natural realm. But Lord, you know, I've got to get to A, B, C and D. And I believe, Lord that my fuel tank will not run out in the name of Jesus. Lord, you see that the wages have come in law we've had an unexpected build a washing machine as just down one. The everything has just blown up. It is just put it very theologically they're very nice. It has just busted. It has gone. It said the life knocked out of it. Now Lord, I got to get a new dishwasher. Lord, I got to get a new Hoover. Lord, I got to put shoes on the children feet. Lord, I've got to buy a new work clothes. Lord, I've got to pay the TV licence. Lord, I've got to pay the bills. So Lord, stretch it. Show me Lord, I'm handing you what I have in the natural world and it is limited. But what I have will will not restrict my stretch in the kingdom of God. That is the difference. That is the difference with Don, we've finished. We're coming to the table. So wherever you are tonight, hand it over. Right now at this very moment as I broke bread together, right now as we're in the stillness, and in the presence of God, God is with you in your home. God is with you in your hand God is with you as you walk God is with you. As you listen this back in in the gym and I was amazed to hear a fantastic story yesterday. Someone was telling me that they listen to coffee and prayer while they are at university and this is absolutely great. The word and people are joining and we are partnering with people as they go around their lives. So wherever you are tonight whether you're indoors whether you're get your feet up, you're laid back on the sofa, and whatever and however we're coming across the socials on whatever network you're getting Gabriela just just grabbing this tonight. I want all of us and I'm going to say this first. God what I have in my hands what I have in the Cabot's what I have in the fuel tank. What I have in my pocket isn't enough, because of the squeeze of life. So I don't have enough. But my God is everything that I need. My God is a God that will make everything stretch and go beyond. The scripture says Cast your bread upon the waters and watch its return. We cannot outgive God, we cannot outgive this supernatural God. But the simple side of this reading tonight is text is literally handed over. I want you to hand it over. I want you to give everything that you got in your innermost being in your house. If you're in your car, if you're in your fan, if whatever you are doing, just say God, everything around me, my physical existence, Lord, I want you to take everything I got Lord, and I need to get through this week. Lord, I need to get to the end of this month, Lord, the universal credits been cut, Lord, I got Bedroom Tax, Lord, I can't afford this. I can't afford that. Lord, we're struggling for a loaf of bread. We're struggling for this. But God I believe, Lord, that as I hand this over to you tonight, Lord, and as I break bread, and as Christ lifted up what he had that was given over to him, it looked the same, it stayed the same. It was the weight of it was the same.
