You're joining myself, Reverend Ben Cooper and Donnie stop burn. And Andy Hammond this morning as we gather and all our lovely brothers and sisters across the world as we gather for prayer. So good to see you're jumping online, we give it a couple of minutes. As we always say, you can find us on Buzzsprout, Spotify, I Heart Radio, Apple play, Amazon, Music, Spotify, and many other platforms. But as you join us today, on the social networks, we welcome you this morning. Thank you, Jesus, hallelujah. We're in. I've got a simple message this morning. Just a simple couple of words. Straight from the book of Psalms straight from Psalms this morning. Psalms 46. Everybody's online. Yeah. Good morning. And thank you for joining us Psalms 46, verse 10. And he says, Be still and know that I'm God. I had this the other day, and I've still got this, it's sitting very strong in my spirit. And with all the activity that's happening around the world, we just want to encourage you this morning, to be still and know that He is God. Whatever situation you are in your life, whatever is going on around you, whatever is breaking out upon you and over you and around you. As preachers and teachers and fellow brothers and sisters, we know we're always looking for a fresh word from God. But so often God keeps us in Scripture for a long time. And we're always, we're always trying to find that fresh revelation or knowledge when sometimes God may hold us in a certain text for quite a while. That is because he wants to get that word through to us. And this morning, this is about the second or the third time, this has been really strong in my spirit. So wherever you are at this moment in time, I'm not doing this because of laziness for the lack of studying or listening. It's got nothing to do with that I am literally listening. And I really feel that this is for all of us. Everybody on the other side of the mics asked in this room today, the builders that are in in the church as well you know we you can see we've we finally hit our last destination your point we're in the studio now, just a few bits and pieces to be done. And all those that are watching visually now on this online streaming service, you can see it but all those in the world of podcast. You can you can only gather your thoughts while it looks like so we're in Psalms 46. Again, I'm gonna I'm gonna say it again, I do believe God may keep us in a certain scripture until we are ready to move on. And I believe this is really relevant for many people today just the first few words of Psalms 46 Verse 10. So wherever you are today we pray that you will find peace and you will find rest. And you will find just a place to sit and to be still and that is in the presence of the Holy Spirit. So when I look at Psalms 46, verse 10, it says, He said or he says depends what translation Be still and know that I'm God. This morning. My prayer for myself is that I know God more, that I seek him more that I rest within him more. And I just pray for each and every one of us this morning, that as God leads us in our lives that we will just rest in Him. We may feel bit disturbed. We may feel a little bit discouraged. We may feel a little bit uncertain what's happening regarding Russia and Ukraine and the rest of the world. And the news that we're hearing all the time I just pray that wherever you are today, you will find absolute rest in the King of kings and the Lord of Lord. So should we be bout grab yourself a coffee we'll have we'll have communion and breaking bread in about 45 minutes time but let's just just gather our thoughts as we come before the Lord and if anybody's got any scripture Please put the scriptures up on the socials. If you have anything that from the Lord please put it up and we will try to capture them scriptures and your thoughts, whatever it may be. And however, you feel that God is leading you, Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for everybody online today. We pray, Lord, that peace will abound in their spirit, Lord, that you will touch them and bless them, Lord, that the love of God will just be over them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we thank you for their lives. We thank You, Lord, that you are healing and you are guiding and you are leading but right now Lord of fathers, we rest as we be still, Lord, we want to know this morning FATHER, LORD, the average family lives father we sit, wherever we are, Lord, we walk wherever we are, we rest wherever we are driving, whatever we may be doing, Lord, we come before you load. There's just individuals as sons and daughters of the living God, whether we might be dipping our toe in this live stream service, or wherever we are. We just pray Father, that you will lead us to new pastures. We pray, Father, Lord, that as you lead us through the valley, Lord of the shadow of death, Father, you will strengthen us you will guide us Father as as families as individuals, see the news and hear the news and and see what's happening around the world. Lord, we just pray, Lord, that You will just bring peace to every household today. Every business every life, Lord, all those that are calling on your name all those father that feel lost in society and in culture in the world. Father, we just pray, Lord, that You will just bring healing to houses heal into lives healings to hearts today, Lord, we pray for those that are going through COVID Lord dozer, having just just been just been very unwell with the flow, Lord with certain bugs that go around there's sicknesses, diseases, Lord we're praying for miracles but Lord above all that above the physical healing Lord, we are looking farther for deep healing in our hearts. Lord, we pray for hearts that they Father we pray that hearts will be healed that there will be healing law not with the physical Lord the the muscle of the heart but Lord the inner heart Lord those that are struggling father with unforgiveness, those that are struggling Lord with with just things and situations Lord and and just things that are arising in their very being Lord, the worries, the doubts, the temptations, the fears, the feeling of the lack of father because we want you to God to move on our hearts they launched as we understand that we lack nothing, we lack no good thing. Lord, you supply all our needs according to Thy riches in glory. And this morning, I asked you God that you will just bless everybody online, US that are in the house today. Whatever reason we're in your house today, Lord, whoever's in this building behind us, Lord, your your church, your place of rest, Lord, the sanctuary, Lord, this holy place Father, we pray that you will sweep for every room every every corridor of this church and Lord that you will just bring your love to this community you will touch Lord lives law that are on the other side of the mics. And you will just set the captives free today. set the captives free, Lord, wherever people are across this world, let them bring freedom today go bring freedom today, Father, just bring freedom law to our hearts, Lord, and bring rest to our minds, Lord, the carnage that goes on in some people's minds or my mind some of the things, Lord that turn over and over and Overlord, just thoughts, Lord, the deep thinking sometimes Lord, the over engineering of my life, the overthinking of my life, the over, anticipate in law, God and all that anticipation, all that fear, Lord actually leads to nothing. So Lord, I asked Lord, as we said, on Sunday, where do you want me to be? What place Lord what church? What work? What situation? What house what postcode? Lord, where do you want us to be Lord, speak loud and clear Spirit of the Living God, we worship you, we praise you, we love you, father. Thank you, Lord, that You are our Father, that You are God that you are our King. And this morning, Lord, as we just rest as we be still, we thank You, Lord, for the online church. But Lord, we want more than the online church. Father, we want your love and your goodness, Lord, to penetrate dark prison cells today, Lord, and that's not necessary, just referring to those that are in the physical prison Lord of HMR, or the in Lord, the prison within themselves a lot, all those that are caught within a prison within themselves, or those that are caught within their thoughts or those that are captured by their own thinking or those that Lord that have built their own prison around them. Father, we pray that you will open doors today, Lord, that doors will open this morning, that lives will be transformed law by the power of the Holy Spirit, by the power of your word. So this morning, we thank you for the scripture that says Be still and know that I am God. Oh, no, I want to be still this morning. My innermost being Lord, calm me down. Bring calmness to houses today bring calmness to the workplace. bring peace to live today father as you stepped as Christ stepped to the Holy Spirit Lord was ministering to Thomas father the diety Lord the Father, the Son the Holy Spirit. Lord we ask you right now Lord for all those that feel like the doubting Thomases that did, Mrs. Lord Father just we pray this morning lot for all those that are doubting, doubting their faith doubt in any existence, doubt in just just wrestling with their faith today trying to turn this all over, Lord, IRS rather than all anticipation, or fear will go or doubt will go and the peace and the love of God will descend upon homes, upon the elderly upon the Young Lord, that we will rise on wings as of eagles and this morning, Lord, we will feel the very presence of the Holy Spirit. Come, Lord, refresh us today. refresh us today, Lord, as we sit, as we be still in this room, whether home life, whatever we may be doing, Father, we need peace. We need rest. We need calmness and Lord, Your Word gives us peace. Your Word gives us calmness, your Word gives us rest. Your Word is authority. Your Word is yes and amen. You are the King of glory. And this morning, Lord, for those that are akin, in their innermost being those father that are yearning for the miracle, those that are just crying and screaming within themselves. Father, bring that place of rescue dialogue.
Donny Stockburn:Yes,
Reverend Ben Cooper:bring that place of rest of the day, Lord, thank you, Jesus. Thank You, Holy Spirit, Lord, but Psalm 46, verse 10, keeping it very simple, keeping it very real, keeping it very plain. Without going into so much debt from complicating things through language and words and, and strapped lines and hashtags. Lord, we want peace. We want rest. Father, we just need You, Lord, to sweep for us the day Lord. Lord, sweep for your church, sweep forever establishment sweep through homes and lives. sweep through businesses today, Lord, sweep through today, lot. sweep through law. Come Holy Spirit. You're worthy of all praise in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Lord. Thank You, Holy Spirit. Just
Andy Hammond:a comment on that verse. Ben, then the Hebrew for bass still, it's more likely translated as Enough. Enough, enough and stop. Wow, stop. So stop what you're doing. Because God's saying enough. Just come before me. Amen. Thank you. come before me sit before me. And I will minister to you. Thank you, Father, I will bring you peace. Yes, Lord, I will bring you that peace that you are seeking at the moment. Amongst all the trials and tribulations that well, the whole world is going through at the moment, it seems that the whole world is going through trials and tribulations. Thank you, Jesus. Our situation here where we're quite comfortable in this country, when you sort of hear the news, one and a half million refugees from Ukraine, and refugees trying to reach this country. And it seems at the moment that our government departments aren't really up to speed to bring them in, Please, Father God, we ask for mercy. Yes, we ask for mercy for refugees, because we know scripture says that once you were a refugee, and we pray for us law, open doors now. Open the doors for all those who need help, who need to care. And Father, we ask that you, Minister to all those in Ukraine at the moment.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Please, God, bring peace and rest their love.
Andy Hammond:Bring peace. Yes. Fell to God. Yeah, that's our simple prayer this morning. Can you do that? And as that Word says, enough, enough has happened. Please still stop. stop in your tracks. Yes, long. Thank you, Lord.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Amen. Amen. Before Donnie says anything, just Psalms 46 Verse one Same Assam. verse one says, God is our refuge and strength and ever present help in trouble. So whatever situations going through the joy of the Lord, is your strength. Ibaka Nehemiah talks about joy, May the joy of the Lord be your strength, but all those that feel very anguish, a lot of anguish this morning, all those that feel very frightened and very scared because of the political fight that is going on and the territorial fight, and the military presence and the strength and everything that you look at, and do not be afraid. Do not be afraid. For like God is with you. Your God is with you, the God of Israel. The scriptures make it very clear, very plain, what will be happening in the world at this particular time we see this through the power of God's Word. So Psalms 46, verse one, says, God is our refuge and our strength, and ever present help in trouble. And then we revert back to verse 10. He says, Be still and know that I'm God. And then it continues and says, I will be exalted among the nations I will be exalted in all the earth. The Lord Almighty is with us. The God of Jacob, is our fortress, Donnie, God bless you, thank you, Jesus. Thank You, Holy
Donny Stockburn:Spirit. Thank you for that word, Lord. I'll just tell you this, as it happened to me. Last week, I had plenty of time to pray and to get into prayer quite deeply. And I as usual, I was asking God for word for to die. And I didn't seem to collect much higher word and it's John 2115. To 21 verses. You'll recognize them soon as you look. And it just didn't mean anything to me. And all week I was thinking, Well, what else is there? What is it about? You know, and but this morning about, I don't know, five o'clock, six o'clock. Suddenly, while I was locked by these, these three words, slips straight into my mind, I was I found myself saying them, without even thinking about it. And it was this it was called, The words were empty, disheartened and troubled. And as soon as I got those words are connected with the verse God gave me earlier in the week, in some big way. And, and you can say, it's about the time when Jesus has been crucified, he, I've seen him once or twice, but the disciples now together still in our upper womb, and they pride ourselves all out. And, and finally, they've kind of lost art and become disheartened and troubled. Only Peter said, I'm going fishing. Many times have I said that so many times, I'll go fishing, although of this. And so there we find them in a fishing and they're sitting on in the boat there, as they were that first time Jesus met him, caught nothing all night long. And they're on the shells, shores of Galilee that early morning, perhaps a bit of Mr. lawar. Avoided voices traveled across law, when it's quite a long way. And Jesus called out if you caught anything, and I sort of wonder who this is. And John recognized, it was alone. And he said to Peter, it's the Lord mmediately, Peter jumped in the water. Come on first and everything swam to the shore. And Jesus confronted them, like they're gonna read these words. John 21, verse 1521. Remember how they felt? They were discouraged. Disheartened is the word troubled, and empty. And us I guess we can all recognize that in our lives at some point of other Christians or not, we will get to that point, Lord where we can recognize it. When the disciples were there. He said. So whenever they eaten breakfast with Jesus, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than he is? He said, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you. He said to him, Feed my lambs. He said to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? He said to him, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you. And He said to him, 10 more sheep. And then said a third time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? Peter was great because he had said To the third time, Do you love me? And he said to him, Lord, you know all things. You know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep. Lord. What was it they list missed? Jesus never said to him, where's your faith? He never said to him, don't you trust me anymore? All he said to him was, Do you love me. And when we know that love, love, God is love. He says that in one job for 16 I got down here. And when you love someone is a hard job and it is not a bind is a hard job. And that love we have for someone can carry us way past faith. Trust everything. When you love someone, it can take you anywhere. He can kill things. So Jesus just was looking for that love in Peters are to restore him and a Lord, we we get like those disciples some days or wherever you've run out everything. We don't even pray. Yeah, God, and we get there and father good, but you come and revive us. You come and ask
Reverend Ben Cooper:restores me. He loves me.
Donny Stockburn:He asked us that question. Do you love me? And Peter was quite a debt. Third, hurt that third time? Yes, Lord. I do love you. And know that's all Jesus was looking at us. That love for him. That love Lord could carry us past all things, all problems, all issues, Lord, the same as it can in this day. With these walls and things going on. Lord, we got all these tactics and things going on. But it's love that will do the change in the love that will do it. The restoration work. And so far, God, I pray this slowly, Lord, that for all those who are feeling like that, who have got this emptiness, and feel disheartened and troubled. They'd seen all those disciples, they'd walk them dusty roads with Jesus for years, and I seen miracles. They saw it all there was nothing left. All of a sudden, there was nothing. No master. Now Jesus, just the upper boom. At a time together, not knowing what to do. There was a emptiness. There was what's the words I've give you? discernment and troubled minds. That's all layer. But Jesus revived them. Lord, you can revive anyone with your love. So we pray this morning, Lord, karma mu Viva love as you revive them, as you bought life back into their spirits, Father, God, bring it back into us. Lord, you are faithful God. He what you said you will do what you started you will finish the Lord, we belong to you. We are not simply servants we are children. were children of a living God. We are anointed hairs to the kingdom of God. Amen. So Father, God, Your faithfulness, Lord, just give us that patience, Lord, to stand fast, until you come like you did to those disciples that morning, and restores unto you, Lord, that we that love divine love, love that does not run out Father God. Love does not go away. Father, I asked you now in Jesus name for all those troubled and disheartened have lost it, Lord, Father God that you will revive them. You'll come to each one of them. As you came to Peter that morning. Look us in the eyes, Father God and ask us. Do we love you? Yes, Lord, we love you. Yes, Lord, we love you. Yes, Lord, we love you. Father God, that is the answer. And so I asked that viably Lord, to come to every single heart that is download. And I asked him in Jesus name, that the power garden Come on, and it filled him Lord with truth and light, and joy and peace and all the things that are the components of love, trust and faith as well. But love is the greatest. Jesus said love the guys even greater than five. Even greater Paul said, even grade and faith, even greater their hope is love. Lord, I asked for that divine love to come now. into all your children, all the children of God and revive us for this day, Lord in Jesus name, amen.
Andy Hammond:Amen. Amen.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Amen. Thank you, Jesus.
Andy Hammond:I just thank you. Interesting that Donna you refer to John 21 Being miraculous catch a fish. Glenn who's not here. Today, both of us have been to Israel and we stood on the beach where that where it said the miraculous catch. Fish could have taken place. Which is quite
Reverend Ben Cooper:amazing. Thanks.
Andy Hammond:And when you read chapter 21 The number of the fish is mentioned. Yeah. Was it 153? Is it?
Reverend Ben Cooper:I believe 152 Funshine scripture. Thank You, Jesus
Andy Hammond:153. And I think someone, I don't know how true this could be or how it can be verified, but it's an interesting thought. 153 fish? One, we wonder why is, is the number mentioned 153 fish. And I think I heard once that someone said it's possibly the number of nations at the time, address, then there is that command to Peter. Jesus says it three times for me to feed my sheep and once Feed my lambs, amen. So there was that commission to go out that permission to go out and bring in Thank You, Jesus ring in the spirit, Feed my sheep, Feed my lambs. And we just thank You, Father God for that scripture where Peter was restored.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Thank you for restoration. He
Andy Hammond:he was restored. And he, Peter must have hit rock bottom when he denied that he ever knew of Jesus. And here is Jesus. Speaking specifically to him. And as Don is said, Do you love me pizza? Do you love me? Of course yes, we do. Of course it. Jesus restored him because he must smell so bad. Yeah, really betraying him. Yes, Nines that he ever knew him. And thank you, Joseph, folk who need restoring today. Just sit down and read to John 21. All the way through and put yourself in the place of Peter, Jesus for me just put your name where Peters name is. And Jesus restore Shia.
Donny Stockburn:Amen. Lord gives you he will do
Andy Hammond:a command. And you have a court? Yes, Lord in the ministry of Jesus. You have a pot. Yeah. And that feeding my sheep or feeding my lambs is can be the smallest gesture may be saying good morning to someone at the bus stop. And a smile which will bring or radically affect someone. That could be the effect. So the smallest gesture Feed my lambs Feed my sheep. So we thank you Father that Yeah. So you constantly restore us. You constantly bring us back? You mind? So often? When you speak. In the still quietness you say, sweetie, love me. Yes. Thank you. You just remind us love our relationship with you. We thank you that we can be loved one relationship with the Son of the Most Hi. Wow. How powerful is that? He calls each one of us. He calls each one of us. Father, I just want to thank you that you brought us together this morning. Oh, man, then we can gather around this table yours fellow. We're still trying to listen to you. To hear what you've got to say to us this morning. We needn't worry because all we need to do is open your word. Open your scripture. Amen. And it jumps out at us. Yes. Thank you. 153 fish caught in the net. And the other miraculous thing is that the net didn't even break. Wow. Yeah, so that's farther you're you are so kind and so gentle with us. We thank you that we can To sit with you. As we sit around this table this morning, Father, we just open our hearts to you. We want you to speak to us. And as Ben has prayed, Holy Spirit calm wash through this place. Yes, fall like a mighty wave, please go out and we want to ride the wave of PTO today. law provide the surface so that we can ride the wave. Yeah. Thank you, Holly. Because it's, it's exciting to be with you, father. You want us to be excited. You want us to be yes, pleased, happy and in love with what we're doing for you. So all those who are struggling this morning. Get out there. Put the wetsuit on. Yes, ride the wave.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Thank you do right away.
Andy Hammond:Thank you. Because it can be so exhilarating. can be so exhilarating. When we just can feed into someone's life with a word of encouragement, a word of love and lifting hand. Thank you, Lord, for just being there.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Just the stillness, just just the stillness, you know that they've mentioned brothers have mentioned restoration this morning. Yes, full restoration. I really believe that there are many being restored today. Many hearts have been broken. Many hearts have been torn apart. For whatever reason life has maybe lost our choices, maybe decisions, maybe workplace issues, maybe things that university whatever it may be, God is with you. God is restoring God, it's rescuing. God is making a way where there is no way. Even though there is confusion. Maybe there's the sense of loss. Even those that feel very weak this morning, maybe through faith maybe for your life maybe through whatever that may be. Psalms 40 Verse 31. For those that just need a little bit more of encouragement regarding strength. Isaiah sorry, Isaiah 40. Isaiah 40 Verse 31, says that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. God is your strength. He's your shield. He is your rampart, as the scripture says, Psalm 91. God is with you. Whatever way you look at that. If you've even given up praying, even if you've given up reading your scripture, even if you just feel that you've hit a wall, a wall of uncertainty, you might look across the plains of Jericho. And what you see is an enormous, great 45 situation. You look across the plains of life, and you're thinking to yourself, how in the world are we as a family, as an individual, as someone that is just on their own where whatever situation you are in, within your humanity, God is with you. There is no Jericho tubik God will really knew your strength, God will strengthen you, God will guide you. It doesn't matter how big that wall is, that is before you, the King of kings and the Lord of Lords will take you around the right way. Whatever it may be, however large it looks, you might even be looking at a Goliath at this moment. You may feel like a young shepherd boy, you may feel quite small, intimidated in a few ways by the circumstances of life intimidated by the news, intimidated by a work pressure, intimidated by family intimidated, just you may feel very insignificant while you are not. And do not take hold of that scripture where the spies come back with Joshua and Caleb and the others. They said We look like grasshoppers in their sight. You are not a grasshopper, you are a son of the living God, you are a son and you are a daughter. And this is not beginners up in our flesh. But this is just reminding ourselves who we are in Christ Jesus and remembering that word identity. That word has been taken out of context it has been used for the wrong press across the scripture. But when we talk about identity, what that really means is I am a son or a daughter in Christ Jesus. I know who I am in Him. See, I can know who I who I am sorry in him, but I might be lost within myself. I might be lost understanding what my purpose is on this life. I I might be lost to understanding what is the the press for me, but I know who I am in Christ and who I am, is I am a son of the living God and you are a son, or you are a daughter of the living God, that is our identity in Christ Jesus. And then from that foundational point we can make a way forward. So Lord, I thank you that we are sons and daughters this morning. And Lord, we might not be fitting into the circles of the world but we are not meant to fit in. We are not meant to fit into the puzzle of the UK, we are not meant to fit in. We are not the missing piece, you know, you are very different, you are unique, you are chosen, you are called. And you will rise as scripture says as US multi verse 31. But those who hope keep hoping, never give up in hope, never give up, keep pressing on, you can achieve and I'm not coming as a motivational speak. I'm not talking on the motivational side, the hype and everything that go to that we're coming from the Word of God, man, Isaiah 40, verse 31, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, your strength, it may feel that you've lost all hope. It may feel that you've lost all uncertainty, it may feel that you've lost the press for living. The devil is a liar, you are a daughter, or you are a son, so I knew are blessed. You might be confused because of religion. You might be confused because of work. You might be confused because of life, whatever the confusion is, there is no confusion in the kingdom of God. So how do I find a clearer thinking a clearer mind? Where do I find this plateau? Of this stillness, Psalm 23, The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not one, he leads me to. Where is God leading us to? New pastures, new beginnings. Now that doesn't mean to say that all we got to change, house change, job, change, church, change situation we are talking about internally here. My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. So Lord, this morning we seek the first we seek your kingdom, we seek the king's voice, we seek the Word of God, Lord, we we asked you what is your will for our lives today? What is the purpose of breathing? What is the reason for living? Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You that You are our shepherd. We thank you that you do lead us, Lord into areas of newness of new beginnings, Lord of rest, you lead us into quiet waters. Maybe God is leading you to a quiet space. Maybe God is leading you to maybe your life is very hectic, maybe your life life is very chaotic. Maybe your life is very busy. You know, we've just things going on everywhere. Maybe, maybe we just need to take that moment and say, God, lead me to that quiet water. Lead me to that scripture, lead me to that place that prayer closet, lead me to that place where I can rest in you lead me to that place where I can just find peace, lead me farther. Because lord, I cannot lead myself I need to be led by the Holy Spirit. I need to be guided by your word. I need to be drawn by your presence. Lord, take my hand and guide me through the valley of the shadow of death. Lord, take my hand and lead me to new beginnings. Take my hand and strength for me take my hand Lord, and lead me deeper, deeper into a relationship into a walk Lord into a prayer life, Lord into a time of reading the scripture. Lord helped me to turn the TV off helped me Lord, to sit and to be still more helped me Lord to lead the gadgets helped me Lord, to leave life alone. Lord helped me just to come to a place of rest on the Lord, bring us to a place of prayer. bring us to a place of peace bring us to a place of Scripture. And maybe, and just maybe we may be pressing the scripture in a very frantic way where we are looking so hard for the answer, when actually the miracle is right in your hands. Sometimes we look so hard. We can miss Jesus standing before us. Oh man. Yes, Philip said, Show us the Father. Show us the Father. Show us the Father. Who are you? Where is the Father? The Father, the Trinity the deity Christ was standing in front of him. I would ask every one of us to this second in time just oppose your thinking and say, Lord, you are performing. Sometimes we ransack the religious books. Sometimes we ransack the deep theological, extra biblical knowledge. Sometimes we press rabbit holes that we shouldn't be going down. Sometimes we try through apologetics sometimes we try through, over exhaust in rather than resting. Lord, I rest in your word. You see, there are many that can quote scripture, there are many that can flip open and turn to the Word of God. But do I really know the author? Do I really know the author? Or am I like Philip, recognize the physical, but don't understand that the father, the father is before me this morning, the father is before you. The Father is with you, the Father is right before you. And there are many, just like the disciples that said, Christ, you're asking us to feed this audience. We don't have enough wages. It's like, the shops are closed, just send them away. And then sudden we understand about the loaves and the fish, whatever is in your hands, what ever you are carrying. And that may be nothing completely come, Your hands may be empty, whatever you have, hand it over. Because it's not about the volume that you have within your hands. It's about the obedience of giving everything to Jesus. Give everything to Jesus, your inner you, your outer you, your around you, you're materially, you your thoughts, you your inner you, your external, you, your theological, you, your education, or you your, your you, whatever you are, just lift your hands this morning and physically, just put them before you and say, Lord, take my life. The interesting factor here is that he already has our lives, because he has given us salvation, the gift. The Savior has saved us. But let's hand it over to him this morning. We're coming to the table. We're coming to the table. Let's hand everything over to the king this morning. Yeah, let's hand it over to Jesus. Hand it to him.
Donny Stockburn:Yeah. Can I just say this word Ben. For we do communion. Those three words again, empty, disheartened and troubled. You empty. God can fill you up you disheartened. God will raise you up. You're traveled, God will give you peace. He gives you all those things. Remember, his timing is perfect. Sometimes we think he's never going to come but he is faithful man, it will come. You just trust and rely on God. He, your his children, he won't let you down. So Lord, we just thank you for that. It's just one other thing. Yesterday in a prayer meeting in room just across there outside is this man who has been a Christian for a short while he said to me, he was kind of fed up with the fight in these fights were talking about and being folding his battles. He was like as over the honeymoon period was over. And he was getting on that narrow road. And he said, What is it for? And I said Gods we finally have God's put you on the pot as well. He's changing you. And he said but what for? And this morning I sort of wrote a little list of what for he teaching us how to pray earnestly how else can we learn it but when things earnest how to resist how to fight our can we learn those things and as we go through battles with this one have really loved how to stand fast. God's teaching us how to stand fast and and we can only learn these things by going through battles and troubles. Had God never never stopped working in us. And we just thank you Lord and Jesus. Lord, you give all these words out to these people who are in the situation we traveled and, and all the rest of it, Lord, just Bless them Lord, just reach out them to is so help me to stand fast. And listen to your word. As Ben's always saying, you may be on the pot as well, but the Lord is with you. And we just thank you for that in Jesus name, amen.
Andy Hammond:There's a verse in John chapter eight, verse 12, which says, I am the light of the world. Amen. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness. But we'll have the light of life. And that's got a key verse in John's gospel, one of the irons. And whilst Ben was talking and praying, I had the next chapter, revise our 41 open. He had Isaiah 40, but I eyes I 41 Verse 10. And this, I think will speak to a lot of us. So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. So, that is a word for each one of us. Yes. And in Isaiah 55. There's that invitation to the thirsty, come all you are thirsty, come to the waters. Yes. And further down in that chapter, verse six says, Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call on him while he is near. I want to tell you this morning that he's near. And then thank you God is close. So all you have to do is call on him.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yes, Father, we call on you, Lord.
Andy Hammond:Thank You, Lord. Thank you. I just pray, Father, that those who are really downcast at the moment, can just come before you and call on your name. Just say, Jesus, I need you. I want to learn how you understood to me this morning. Speak to me. Bless them, Lord, caress me, help them.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Help me. Help them. Thank you, Jesus. Thank You, Thank You, Holy Spirit and fathers we come to the table orders our brothers leaders. Right now, Lord, as we just rest as we be still as we just come before our garden, our King, you are worthy of all praise. And at this moment in time, Father, we pray that as we broke the bread as we take the cotton you will speak directly into our innermost being Come Holy Spirit, in the mighty name of Jesus, as Donnie leads us as anti leaders. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
Donny Stockburn:Amen. Amen.
Andy Hammond:As we take the break, and those of you at home, or wherever you are listening, just take some bread, or whatever that may be. And I just want to repeat from Isaiah 55 Come or who are thirsty, come to the waters. Oh, yes, Lord, come by and eat. Without money, and cost all men, the cost has already been paid. Thank you, Father. And we remember what you have done, through your Son Jesus. As we take and eat the spread of smoke. Thank you, Jesus. Thank You, Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Thank You for this bread, Lord. Thank You, Holy Spirit. Oh, yes.
Donny Stockburn:We just take this one, as a symbol of your blood Lord. And Lord, who can speak the words that could explain the mystery and the joy and everything that comes from that? That moment you gave your life up for us, Lord, but I just took this word out of a song to him and did not did submit to me on hope it does something to us says that Chris Rose to stand in my defense. Oh, Lord, oh, can we say they all have guilty standing there. And a son of God stands up and defends me. It says I'm innocent, and pays advice for me. This is the blood that paid the price for me and you to get into heaven, to make us holy, to give us eternal life. To give us a future a Lord not just a few days, but for eternity with the living God, which is thank you for in Jesus name, Lord, amen.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Amen. Thank you Jesus. Lord, we just thank you for salvation. We thank you for the power of the gift of salvation and this morning Lord in need couple of moments loaded before we press the button Lord, to say goodbye to our sisters and brothers, online and on the world podcast in law, we just ask you that you strengthen each and every one of us. That you will move for this government Lord, that You will speak very loud and very clear, Lord, that we will be still will know that you are God that we will understand, Lord, that You are rescuing us the Lord you are and have saved us that you have set the captives free. Oh man. So Lord, this morning, we rejoice all of you, we rejoice and be glad because we are free this morning, Lord, we thank You, Lord, for Your word that is alive and is sharper than a double edged sword. But more as we go into our workplaces, we go into the marketplace. As we go into life as we go into different cultures. As we may still just be in home today, wherever that is, Lord, we pray that you will lead us into new beginnings, Lord, that you speak directly to our hearts and minds. In a most being you are worthy of all praise. And this morning, I thank you for my brothers before me, thank you for everybody in the house of the Lord around us. We thank You, Father, for everybody on the online streaming service this morning. We thank You, Father, for those that are listening to the world and through the world. And podcasting on Buzzsprout, Spotify, all the platforms that we stream to we thank you for the power of technology. But Lord, we want to feel your presence like never before. In mode we want to journey with you like never before. Lord, we want to experience Lord, we want to just father just lean into you, Lord, we want to just lay everything at your footstool we want to lean in as the disciple did around the Passover table. We want to lean into Jesus, we need to lean in farther, we just want to rest in Lord, we just want to just lean completely into you. And as we hand our loaves and our fish over to the King of glory elmen and those that may stand before Jesus and say, Show us the Father. Lord we thank you Lord that you do not Father Lord, turn us away, Lord that you draw us in so father with we may be blind this morning Jesus we may be blind literally with fear we may be blinded with the issues of life. Maybe Lord, our vision is very foggy and disturbed this morning. Maybe we are not looking at things that we normally would in the correct way because of fear and anxiety and doubt has just grabbed us. So Lord, we pray that you will take the hands of fear office Lord, you will take the hands of doubt offload the father, you break the shackles, break the chains, and then this morning we will feel freedom in our innermost being Lord that we will soar on wings as of eagles. We will dig on run and not grow weary, we will dig out not faint. We will not trip over we will not fall as the psalmist says, As the psalmist puts it so beautifully. I was about to fall. I was about to slip and to push back. When the Lord saved me, man, the Lord will save you. The Lord is with you. He is your refuge. He is your fortress. He is your God. He is your yes and amen. And he is with you in every given situation today, never give up? And can you bring us to to a close in prayer and lead us with the message that you normally have regarding the word?
Andy Hammond:Yeah. This is a New Testament which I'm holding in my hand and it's free to anyone who wants a copy of God's Word, God's infallible Word. And we, as we sit around this table, we all believe in this word. That is the word of God. Yes. That's why we sit here. This is why we take time out to do this. And there is a scripture that says that whoever believes in my name will be saved. Thank you. And I feel that's right for someone this morning, whoever is listening to Eve never made a decision to follow Jesus. If that's you, all you need to do is to ask Jesus to come and live within you. Ask His Holy Spirit to equip you. And turn away from your old life isn't about turn really you're going in the opposite direction and to follow Jesus and He promises to be with you to never let go of you. And I just say an amen to that.
Donny Stockburn:Yeah, Don's gonna word Andy just spoke to say no. John 647 He says, Jesus says Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me has Eternal life. Hallelujah. What more do we want? What more than the end of the story? We know where we're going. Christ is Christ, we'll make sure we get there. He's the Great Shepherd. His job to get us is he proclaims us to be his. And he's our shepherd, which is Thank You, Lord, for all these promises, Lord is not one of them. Have you ever broken not one of them? Will you ever bite fall ago? We stand fast on this living Word of God. Jesus name, Amen.
Andy Hammond:I was, in fact, looking at Mark says similar things in Mark, chapter 16, verse 16 1616, whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. On the other side of the coin is but whoever does not believe what we condemn, or Lord,
Reverend Ben Cooper:oh, Jesus what a way to finish. Highs. As the Scripture says, Hebrews, chapter 12, verse two, keep your eyes on the author of the perfect or the pioneer of your faith wherever you are across the globe. May God bless you for the rest of this day and forevermore. In the mighty name of Jesus may the hand of the Lord lead you. May His words strengthen you and restore you. You are blessed.
