Hello and welcome. How are you all? God bless you, wherever you are today across the globe. You are joining Simon and myself. And we are in this recording studio. We're across the mics from you wherever you are today. May God bless you and strengthen you. This is the day that the Lord has made we shall rejoice and be glad. # Christian straight talk. You know, if you're in the church, you might have been a little bit of trouble at a moment. If you're in the kingdom of God, you're blessed and highly favored religions is breathing down on you. Are you for Jesus? Or are you further church, religion, the world, the government, politicians, we are in trouble in the UK, but with the King of kings in the Lord of lords as a way forward, and Simon has brought an interesting title to the table. radical five.
Simon Pinchbeck:Oh, yeah. Good morning, Ben. It's great to be back across the mics again. And yeah, we're straight into it me paying there's no there's no messing about.
Reverend Ben Cooper:The church has pulled my trousers down for too many years. We're straight in it's no it's no messingno more, gloves are off.
Simon Pinchbeck:banter is no soft music is there, theres no how you're feeling that day. There's none of that. There's no nice we've got the machine gonna bang for it. Yeah, no radical faith. Yeah, totally. What? What happened to me this week, and this really stuck out to me, Ben, you know, I've been engaging with a few people on Facebook and social media and and, you know, I've been out I went out to India a couple of years ago and saw the actual faith of Christians out there is just phenomenal. And then same with people who are in ministry said that want to be your friend on Facebook. You know, I've said to him, you know, you're in a dangerous situation, wherever you are. And I know you do a lot on on the persecute the church, and they just come back to me and I'm gone. As though it's that God's gonna, God's gonna God's gonna make her way God's gonna make a way he's going to protect us. And I just thought, Ben, this is raw faith. This is really cool. This is gospel. This is faith that you don't see in the UK. If you don't say, Oh, the Western world, you don't say Well, we've
Reverend Ben Cooper:got we've got leaders dressing up in suits, clown suits with wigs on dancing around in front of people we've got you know, the church is a circus, and I'm not frightened of sign it anymore. This no one can tell me that this the percentage of what we have in the UK is this the face of God because this is a mockery.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well, it's very interesting you say that because that quote from Spurgeon is really come on where he says the church in the future ECRC at a time when the church will not be sheep led by shepherds but goats led by clowns and wow, that says that Spurgeon did great. Yeah, man, I've got great man II sought out and proceeded to happen. Yeah, believe me, it's happening in all sorts in our church, churches that would rather do little skits, little plays yoga,
Reverend Ben Cooper:yoga is in the church, down a road.
Simon Pinchbeck:Let's let's have a little play act or something like that, rather than I want
Reverend Ben Cooper:the gospel because I'm telling you now world, I need Jesus. He says,
Simon Pinchbeck:See, Jesus could come back at any time. Exactly. Yeah. And you know, people are going to be left hanging, and people are going to be getting fed the wrong Jesus.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, and it's interesting. Simon mentioned the word fed, where we're in a crisis that you know, the fuel crisis everything's up in and the fuel crisis and the gas, the electric, the petrol, the diesel, everything, the cost of living interest in what the Bank of England said this week that there's an apocalyptic sorry apocalyptic reference they made to the food around the world biblical reference. That's really interesting. What they're saying and the Bible mentions is so clear, doesn't in the last days, they'd be famines, wars, rumors or wars, you know, and also there is a spiritual famine. So what Simon is talking about today radical faith, we need faith. What but what is this word faith what is it all about? What What is this about you know, we've we've got so much band in around within my church within the UK, I want what I need to hear when I walk into a church, I need to hear that, that I am saved, that God called me that I'm washed in the blood of Jesus, that I am a sinner, that I am justified by grace that God loves me unconditionally. I don't want to hear that I can continue to live in the skip that I'm living in. I need to be taught radical faith. And what is radical faith?
Simon Pinchbeck:Ben, radical faith is what these people in his Angliss countries have got is a radical trust. It's a trust of Jesus is the trust of God is trust. They put their faith in the trust of God. And we haven't done that for a long time in the Western world. You know,
Reverend Ben Cooper:we we, the biggest God that we got is materialism. Oh, yeah. No, we do things our
Simon Pinchbeck:way. And, and we don't you know, there's that lovely scripture in Isaiah, you know, those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. Yeah, rise on wings. It was crazy to go and run. So we're not prepared to wait. Oh, wait, we're not prepared to trust
Reverend Ben Cooper:and whose responsibility does that sit at? It sits at the church's feet. But leadership, the leadership, so the church where we talk about denominations, when you look about all the different teachings that are in it, all the stuff that's going across the platform, the denominations, where are the denominations that are preaching with our any error, the cross of Calvary, the power of the Word of God, we're no compromise.
Simon Pinchbeck:They're not preaching the word of God and you they're not there. They're telling us about a Jesus who's mica Malden, loving and forgiving, but they're not telling us about the changes in the Gospel, the stained
Reverend Ben Cooper:glass window, Jesus in the in, in the cathedral, that's dressed that with grass and lambs and sunlight and coming through, when actually the Jesus that I know, bit of quietness there, because it's a really, really powerful saying, Christ went to the cross. The Christ that I'm hungry for is to Christ, that it's not in the stained glass window that man has portrayed, is the one that the father handed over, as the sacrifice.
Simon Pinchbeck:That you know, he done that the Father gave us His Son, and that
Reverend Ben Cooper:was this freedom. There's freedom. Simon isn't there? In radical faith, there is freedom. And you see that and I believe God is speaking to Simon over these last few days, in the world of the persecuted church, anyone that's listening to this. If you want to see, excuse me, the real church of Jesus Christ, go on Open Doors ministry, look at release international listen to Trans World Radio, find the ministers that are giving Bible to why is the church in the UK giving Bibles away? Well, it's giving literature Oh, well, it's giving it's giving, giving leaflets out, come and come and come to our yoga class. Some to a flower arranging class, but what but I want to Bible we don't do Bibles, cut through the
Simon Pinchbeck:rubbish cover it or rubbish, all the bullcrap that's coming out, come on, you know the word of God tells us the truth will set you free Ben. And
Reverend Ben Cooper:Jesus is the truth
Simon Pinchbeck:he says that
Reverend Ben Cooper:it makes it so clear. I am the Way the Truth and the Life No one comes to the Father, except through me. It's a no Pope, no Bishop, no Elim ministers, no Arg, no Catholicism, no Church of England, no, no Evangelical Alliance. No Man, No man has the authority.
Simon Pinchbeck:And the problem is, you know, and we, we do it the church a bit on these podcasts. But it's they need a they need it and they need a bashing. And what's happening is, Ben, is they're stepping over God's word to get to mans word.
Reverend Ben Cooper:The Bible says don't add or take away. Oh, so. So what's happening? We are adding and we are taken away and we are making our own. I don't even want to use the word Bible. But that's the language we understand. The church is making its own rules up and manipulating and not taking the text and we are praying weeks and years over issues that shouldn't even be been spoken about because the Bible says that is it. That is the interpretation that is a Greek that is the Hebrew that goes right back to the Word of God. I don't need to pray it because if I pray about it,
Simon Pinchbeck:I'm telling you, Ben, you know, I was in a meeting last week. I'm representing, you know, a number of churches across the southern England and the they had a 1520 minute conversation on car parking spaces in churches for river. This is what this is. And and then who's Yeah, but who's gonna do the tea and coffee? And who's gonna do this? This this is these are the subjects that again discussed around committee meetings rather than Cohen. How can we get? How can we empower people to get out there and have a go for Jesus?
Reverend Ben Cooper:How can we Oh, hang on. Hang on, you want me to? Oh, no, oh, no, I'll be the man in a car park. I'll make the tea. I'll give the biscuits. Isn't it interesting? The only people that we see in the church are the church. And I'd say the church is more lost than the world.
Simon Pinchbeck:And so, you know, how can we be attracting people from from that, to that secular world if we're not even that in the church
Reverend Ben Cooper:is very secular, it is very humanistic. It is very occultic. It is very pagan.
Simon Pinchbeck:What does Jesus says? He says, If he says, the Scripture says, if you follow me then streams of living water or flow out. Yeah
Reverend Ben Cooper:but alsop, i got to mention this, there would be a bit heavy a day in. This is really, really, I think, important for the church, when the UK says, Christ says very clearly the disciples just as I was persecuted, so will you be persecuted. So persecution is a real understanding that if Christ was persecuted, I will be persecuted to I think the church in the UK is suddenly going to be hit so heavy, it could almost religion could be wiped out in certain areas. Because because we have a spiritual drive at this moment. And if the church is blind to this, and it's a very heavy atmosphere,
Simon Pinchbeck:well, I've got to say, I hope religions wiped out because we want the relationship don't wait. You know, we want the relationship with Jesus rather than that, that controlling religion, but you know, what the point you're making, that there's a number of churches and denominations already gone that way. They're already they're already embracing the world. And we've already said on this podcast many times, you can't be the world to win the world. And so you know, when people see, you know, embracing things that are really reliable. Yeah. Then you've got to say, you cannot pick and choose you can't take one bit out of the Bible and say that's not relevant for today. Because if you do that, then the rest is compromised, isn't it?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, I would love I would love the church to preach on. All have sinned and fallen short of His glory. When you take scriptures like that all have sinned and fallen short of His glory. Each man is drawn away by his own last. I mentioned last in the church,
Simon Pinchbeck:what's what they'd rather tell you is that you're fearfully and wonderfully made.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. I'm a healer. You're not I'm a wrech, im a wrech.
Simon Pinchbeck:You know, every morning I get up and you use a water right? Don't bother. Thank you for your grace, that I'm still here.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So that's, that's radical faith. That's radical faith, believing in the Word of God, trusting God living for Jesus. Now, there is no one on this earth. Now, it might sound like that me and Simon I live in absolutely pure. My life is an absolute car crash some days of stuff. Well,
Simon Pinchbeck:under percent net with you,
Reverend Ben Cooper:so I'm not living, right. Anyway. But I can never live right. But the more I want Jesus, the more I realized I'm not living right, the worse you are. So the worse I am, the worse you realize you Oh, yeah. But the more I live for religion in the church, it will it will allow me to live in my sin. But the more I want to live for Christ, and the more I'm hungry for the cross of Calvary, the more I want to be washed in the blood, the more I want to have his word the more I say, Lord, reveal this to me. The more we pray, Lord, strip me back on this, you're sad, I suddenly realized that I am the least of the least of the least of the least of the least of that, you know, I suddenly realized that I'm far, far away, but I'm not but because of grace. So radical faith, you're believing in this eternal God that has saved us by grace so my faith has to hold on to the word are gonna go do you know what I believe? I believe that Christ set me free. I believe that God has watched us Give us Christ to Washington. I believe in your word I trust in Your word. Lord, I have faith. But Lord helped me to walk by faith.
Simon Pinchbeck:Father, I need you today. But when you come to him, you know, first thing in the morning. You're a little bit fearful at times, but
Reverend Ben Cooper:yes. And Simon, the fear of the Lord, fear of the Lord. Yeah, fear of the Lord is the beginning.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, because wisdom because, you know, if you think, oh, man, I wasn't. I didn't do that yesterday, Father, you know, by nature. They don't have the fear of the Lord departing from me is massive.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I agree. I don't I agree,
Simon Pinchbeck:that would frighten me. He asked him a very core, because I can't do anything without him.
Reverend Ben Cooper:We can't do anything. So radical faith, radical faith. And when you look at the system, a church and you look at the organization, come on, guys and gals, come on, we just got to follow Jesus, you know, it's just about I'm not living right, Simon, we're not living, right. We are not just saying, across the platform of everybody, we've got it right in your webinar. No, I'm lesser than the less of the less. But by the grace of God, he saved a wretch like me. And he has given us he has given us access to the Father through Christ, the shed blood or the lamps a radical fight, I believe, I believe that I'm a son of the living God. But that takes radical faith
Simon Pinchbeck:takes radical faith, because I, and it also takes Ben it takes pulling out of all the teaching and stuff that that had been fed over the years done it. Yeah. Because,
Reverend Ben Cooper:and how many other people Simon are sitting in this position of us as well today, sitting there thinking, I don't feel this, I can't feel it. And for years, I've never fit. I've never fitted in, in the jigsaw of church, I'm always the piece that never was accepted. I'm never I never felt right in that area, because that's religion, but in the kingdom of God, you are a son and a daughter. And you don't try to fit because you're welcomed in and we've been trying to fit ourselves into the wrong position.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, it's under percent a new you are a citizen and see what happens is when you accept belong, yeah, when you accept that, that you accept that, that center, and you accept that you're free, that you that you accept Jesus Christ died on the cross your sin, but he rose again to save you. Yeah. But it also accepted you a ledger to the Father, if you follow him there. That's right. But he also separated from the world. So you are separate from the world, so you won't feel you won't feel so you're somewhere where, where? Where the world is you feel that you don't fit into that world? Yeah. Or you might be going out seeing people but you'll always feel a little bit on the outside. And it's the same in a church. Yeah. And
Reverend Ben Cooper:so you use your physical, and you use your connections you use you use so much of what the world has got trying to fit yourself into a religious position, not realizing its religion. And because it's got the label a church on it, and then suddenly, people are really uncomfortable. But they're frightened to talk about their uncomfortable feelings and the way they really feel because I'm why the only one in this church that feels like this.
Simon Pinchbeck:And so we have a church full of liars. Yeah, about themselves and moving your lips. And so because most places want perfection, yeah, they aren't even looking for excellence. They aren't
Reverend Ben Cooper:we all are not perfect. Why?
Simon Pinchbeck:You know? So, what we want? You know, we people say all the time, don't we? You know, the church is not for perfect people. It's for broken people. But the trouble is a lot of churches want you don't want to deal with you when I have met so many men. And when we do these things, we sit around we talk about stuff and we dig the Holy Spirit. Sorry, the Holy Spirit digs deep very quickly. At the end of these things, they go you know what, the biggest thing I've got a day is that your your
Reverend Ben Cooper:assignment has made me smile. I looked at you and I fought us together. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, no,
Simon Pinchbeck:no, none of us have. You know how many people
Reverend Ben Cooper:are in ministry that are sitting in their own ivory towers that have made their own ministry and now come through the pandemic, realizing it's about to topple? Well, God is swinging the axe at your tree. Your Treehouse is coming down.
Simon Pinchbeck:You know, we were talking about radical five today but we've we've Just move slightly and you will find that see you can't go on live in your you're
Reverend Ben Cooper:not going by faith, you're going by ability, you're going by skill set, you're going by business habits, most secular stuff and how many ministries are, are built on a foundation of a millionaire, or someone with a few quid? And that isn't it interesting that a lot of people gather themselves selves around an open checkbook.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, wherever there's someone with a few quid, you can build any business. As long as they've got a few quid they'll always have friends when they always have friends.
Reverend Ben Cooper:But when you look at ministries, when you look, what are they really built on? What what what what is the ministry built on? What is it? Is it built on on complete radical faith, you can go and plant a church, when you've got the Mother Church dripping in money. And you take everything that you've got, you can go and plant you can go and plant a church in a school hall. But you can't do that. With no leadership. No one. Why don't you go to Afghanistan and build a church?
Simon Pinchbeck:Because it's too it's nice and comfortable here, isn't it? You know, and
Reverend Ben Cooper:I can build a church here. I can I can. I can. I can. Well, your tree as is coming down.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, and these you can't keep going on. That's why we have so much burnout. We've We've leaders and
Reverend Ben Cooper:Uncle Simon, this serious issue is and it's a serious
Simon Pinchbeck:issue and this day and age.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Because when I don't go in radical faith, or going radical skill set or going radical ability or going academics or go in an open checkbook, I'll go in my business school, I'll go Mike, your spreadsheet, I'm going with with
Simon Pinchbeck:a spreadsheet, and you get people around a table and say how can we grow this church? Yeah, networking, network networking thing network networking. I know, you know, there's ministries out there that that actually you're someone a networker. Yeah. You know Supriya or whatever, either. Exactly. But But I think I don't know about you, but I forgot feeling right now. You know, we shouldn't go on feelings. I know. That's good. I think God is indicating the fibers indicate that he's had enough of these big ministries. Yeah. Is that enough that he's mega church, he sees enough prosperity. I think God is coming down. And he was looking for men and women of raw faith who were brought trust you because we'll come on to what that leads to in a moment. You
Reverend Ben Cooper:know what, I think we could sit in a bit of a degree of the Old Testament where the Tower of Babel was being built on your many percent right God went I never I never knew that. I think we're in a position where I'm not saying God is coming home for judgment time. But what I believe is the presence of the Holy Spirit is is is going to cut trees down I think the presence of His Holiness is going to cut the tree and at the top of the Tower of Babel is there's a lot of toppling of ministries there's there's a lot of crashing and what people are doing there's there's denominations flowing together, this churches flying together because they want to keep the establishment going. is falling
Simon Pinchbeck:a lot all the way along the lines and some of these big places of finding things aren't quite as gross as what used to be and and
Reverend Ben Cooper:we're going oh crisis, a food crisis, a fuel crisis. We're going in a tightening of money. We're going into a tightening, tightening of everything. Everything is scarce. Everything Everything is tightening up even the shops, the big shops. You know, we've got shops closing in Swanee, we've got banks disappearing.
Simon Pinchbeck:So what should happen in terms of that the face should gross Yeah, the face should grab the
Reverend Ben Cooper:church. The church should look at the Scripture and go Do you know what because
Simon Pinchbeck:Hold on a minute. These people in these countries are mentioned and many other countries about certainly gotten nothing.
Reverend Ben Cooper:But they've got every face they've got five they've got five that God will supply and all my needs according to His riches in glory.
Simon Pinchbeck:Some of the stuff they're doing, you know, they've got their do their beautiful little children's groups and do that. Any minute a dog could be kicked in, and I could be carted away to prison, couldn't they, but
Reverend Ben Cooper:they could be literally shot. The pastor's are being shot. The women are being raped, the children are being sold as slaves.
Simon Pinchbeck:So we are far far too far too far. Far was sitting in the Lazy Boy chair in the UK and the Western world. Yeah. And sitting back.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I think the church is in more Are you we use the word church because it all it, it paints us all the same. I think the church in the UK is in is in a more dangerous position than what the world is because we know what the world what's happening to the world. But when you really look at the church, the church, the leaders are going to be judged more severe, because there's blood on your hands, oh, the
Simon Pinchbeck:leaders will be judged.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So this is critical. This this is really, this is bleak. It is bleak. Unless, unless you say, Lord, forgive me of my wrong doctrine, my wrong teach riff Forgive me, this is where I sit at the moment for the happy messages. I've preached the happy boy messages when now the gloves are off.
Simon Pinchbeck:You said a word there that, you know, really, it's the core, but you know, doctrine because doctrine matters. Done it. Doctor in Doctor rounds. Yeah. And we're just a couple of blocks of a Bible. We've got a couple of Bibles on the table.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Actually, look, we've got 12345. We got five Bibles between two of us.
Simon Pinchbeck:And we're just that so so we do. And we just look at what Jesus said. And what did he say about faith law is a little bit in in Matthew, where he's talking about, there was an epileptic young man, and the disciples at that time because of the Assad was and been given the Holy Spirit. And at time they had trouble. They couldn't get this, this spirit out of this boy in it. But Jesus, Jesus said, he said, they say, why couldn't we get this? Why couldn't we act in this way? Why couldn't we drive this evil spirit out of this young, young boy? And he just turned around and said, in Matthew 1720, he said, Because of your unbelief, because of unbelief, and it goes, please, For assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith, as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you. So faith, faith, you know, that's
Reverend Ben Cooper:a so we battened Pfeiffer in basically in something like this, don't we? I believe, from Genesis to Revelation. In the unchangeable Word of God, I believe in the birth, the death, the resurrection, I believe in the fundamental points of Christianity. I believe in salvation, I believe in the blood of Christ, I believe, I believe. So faith is is a journey, isn't it? It's, it's, God takes us on a journey. And we just have what did Jesus say to the disciples at the shoreline of Galilee? Drop your nets come and follow Me. And also he said, just believe, just believe, just believe. Just believe, don't build my church, because I will build my church.
Simon Pinchbeck:Let me tell you, Ben, I'm going to tell you
Reverend Ben Cooper:like your cigar up, put your feet on a table, put your caveat and tell me that
Simon Pinchbeck:Jesus never said obey me. Ever said you won't see any gospels. He never said obey Me is ever similar. Listen, I'm Jesus, you got to do I say no. He said, trust me. He said, believe
Reverend Ben Cooper:me. But how beautiful sweet is that?
Simon Pinchbeck:Is a believer me, trust me, watch what I do. And he and just a few lines down in that Matthew, He tells him again, he said to us, surely as I said to you, if your faith and do not doubt, doubt big word in this script to how you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also say to this mountain and be removed and cast into the sea and it will be done. And whatever you ask for in prayer, believing you will receive. So with a game was going down, believe down. This is where this is where these lovely people come from. They're not doubting they're believing. They everything around him, he's going absolutely upside down, and they've got nothing and but they come in believing the Lord, we believe in
Reverend Ben Cooper:we believe, we believe drop your net that is so significant, such a powerful line that Christ said to the disciples dropped me nets because the net was everything. So I've got to drop everything. Materialism, social life, church, I've got drop everything and just follow.
Simon Pinchbeck:And that's a yes, yes, Ben. Yeah. And that's a good example. Because later on remember when they were fishing? Yeah. And they were finding nothing.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I'm going fishing. I'm going back at another time and where they
Simon Pinchbeck:said they were they were getting nothing. That was good enough. And he said fish on the right side.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So I find that really interesting, actually, that scripture that Simon is talking about when they've been fishing all night, and Jesus calls out from the shoreline have Friends, haven't you any fish? See going on about with fishermen? No, we ain't caught nothing. Throw your nets on the right side of the boat. Now, that line that he said in the Word of God, throw your nets on the right side on the boat. That is very very prophetic. Because you can imagine that disciples that was on there, they was facing each other. So your right side is different to my right side. But Christ was referring to the right side. We got to be careful because we go in so far into this fish on the right side fro your net. So when I throw my nets I'm frying everything to Jesus because he's on the right side.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:No right side.
Simon Pinchbeck:So you've got Jesus on once you got man on the other side of world? Yeah. If you're
Reverend Ben Cooper:not fishing with man, I'm gonna get I'm gonna fish all night, I'm gonna catch nothing. Isn't it interesting that they were skilled tradesmen, fishermen, they knew how to do it. But there comes a point when you know how to do it. But what you know what you know, is not going to get you what you should. And we're at this position, because you rely on yourself. Now we got to fish differently.
Simon Pinchbeck:Jesus says, No, you rely on me. You follow me? Yeah. Because you're crosspolymer You follow me?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Fish on the right side. Fish on the right side. Yeah, that is the
Simon Pinchbeck:fish on the right side. Wow, stack Christian Australian
Reverend Ben Cooper:church. No, and they build a ministry around. Yeah, so there's so much in this.
Simon Pinchbeck:But what encourages me, Ben is that, you know, there is great men of faith and men and women of faith, amazing stories in the Bible. You know, truth was, but one who's, who's a classic who's who's, you know, the father, Abraham, you know, he, he had amazing faith, but he stumbled and fell out and then he picked it up again, didn't need you match matching. He wasn't really he was bloke, it was a broken human being. And he wasn't acquainted with God was eat dinner. And God said, I want you to go here. And he had no Sat Nav or nap or you didn't even have a map and a compass. He just said, Follow what I just go, just go. Just go. And so,
Reverend Ben Cooper:Lord, I haven't taken it to the committee. I haven't taken it to the church council. Let's have a churches together, chat over it. And let's talk about for six months. And then let's not do it.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, let's pocket as part of his pocket out there. And we'll come back.
Reverend Ben Cooper:We'll come back to that. But
Simon Pinchbeck:Jesus said, Just do it. God said, Just do it. Just do it. Just do it.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, like, just just do it. What did he do?
Simon Pinchbeck:He went and the law but the law promised him he says you're gonna be the father of many nations, you're gonna be the fob, your descendants. It'd be like, you know, sand on the seashore.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So when you look at his life, he got promised. God promised him before the actions were that so God knows what we're going to do where we're going to fail, but he still gives us the promise.
Simon Pinchbeck:He's still given a promise. And it still gives me said, he said all that. But then Abraham had a little opportunity. Yeah, is what I've done. He said, Well, we've got no children may be you know, AlphaGo with Africa with a goal, you know, and
Reverend Ben Cooper:now what does that love? Oh,
Simon Pinchbeck:he thought about it for all of your seconds. And he was off, but that's what you want
Reverend Ben Cooper:me to darlin if I have anything for you? So isn't that interesting? What comes of all Yeah, of all this?
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, it is interesting. And then, and then of course, you know, it gave him Ishmael and whole there was all that all that problems, created prompts. It also Abraham was a, he was a very slippery character. And when he because he, he would go into people's territory and call his wife, his sister, and you know, so he was a, it was a bit of a gazer. It wasn't exactly perfect. And, and, and then he had the big test with his own son, Isaac, which he came through, you know, with flying colors I
Reverend Ben Cooper:love I love the fact that God gives him and speaks to him and tells him all this stuff. And God didn't take anything away. Did he? Even with demands failings? No, that's really comforting, isn't it? That as a human being with all the failings I've got, and all the stupid things that I do and say, and the way that I act, completely unbiblical, most of my life and the hours up to the mic time now all the time, he still doesn't reject me.
Simon Pinchbeck:He doesn't reject you and the uses you because You've been you've got heart for him, that's the deal. You've got a heart for the Father. Amen. And you're a son. And, and when you know that relationship, when you've got that relationship, you know, the father is very, he's, he's forgiving in those.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And the power of God's love is unconditional.
Simon Pinchbeck:And we will talk about that on another podcast, because that is huge. And that is deep. Because once you once you have that relationship with Jesus, once you allow Jesus to, to let you follow him to the to the throne room, and you find the love of the Father, the love of the Father is, and, you know, because it's quite sad that many men don't find a love of the Father. But when you got that, it's just wow, it just blows your mind. You know,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you've mentioned you really mentioned Abraham, they're real. And straightaway, as Simon is talking, this is coming in my spirit that I think of Moses, when Moses strike the rock rock the first time, then he struck at the second time in anger. God didn't take his anointing God didn't. With him out of but what God said that you cause he broke the faith, the Scripture says, You broke the faith, I can't let you enter into the promised land. What I find, that is a comforting scripture there is that the Bible says that God buried Moses, even when I make a mistake, as a leader, even when I make mistake as a human being, God did not throw Moses away, he actually buried him. When you really think about that sama mentioned, Abraham, God did not reject Abraham, God got his work done through Him God, you know, and the Bible makes it clear, I think it's in Deuteronomy. And I know in the book of Jude as well, it speaks about how the body of Moses was taken, but God actually took him and buried him and used the resources of heaven. But the Bible in Deuteronomy got the Scripture, the top of my head. Maybe he just did do the googling reference, and I believe in Deuteronomy, where it says that God buried him. So even though God took him up to the mountain and said, Look, Moses, this is what you could have had. I'm not rejecting you, but I'm not casting you out. But you can't walk in it. You can see it, but I still love you.
Simon Pinchbeck:There's many scriptures that I've just had a look at a few in there that says God will. If you're is suddenly you're got that relationship, and it'll hide you. It'll hide behind you. Yeah, that's right. In Deuteronomy, it says, You will rest on the shoulders of the Lord.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Oh, my goodness,
Simon Pinchbeck:you know,
Reverend Ben Cooper:he never rejects us doesn't ever rejection. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Even when you come out of the biblical living, when you come away and do your own crazy things, even when you say the most ridiculous things even when you slip and you and you do all all what you shouldn't do. I still love you. And the reason I mentioned God buried Moses, we because that is now we accelerate to the New Testament. We died with Christ. Yeah, and God and God were buried in him. were buried. The old is gone the newest comp. You know,
Simon Pinchbeck:yeah, were a new creation.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Five, doesn't it radical five to believe it. And
Simon Pinchbeck:in just look at James it says, my brother and Karen, it's all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. So yeah, we're gonna get tested anyway, we're gonna get, you're gonna get tested, and we are going to fall and stumble. I'm not I am fruit, but we are always going to do that. We have to have that, you know, Seek first the kingdom. So we, our heart has to be our God, God, above all things done in our heart. A heart has to be for God above all things, because then what is radical faith lead to it? It leads to radical Trust, which then leads to radical obedience. Yes. Which leads to the miraculous so we we've got radical faith, we've got this thing called Radical faith, which is raw faith real raw, raw, it's you know, there's no is the it's not processed. It's not adulterated. It's not spreadsheet. It is just raw love and faith. For the Father, following Jesus, we've got this radical then we got a radical trust, like these lovely people's radical, radical, it's because it's like no other thing
Reverend Ben Cooper:and it goes above your intelligence. It goes above your your processing of life, it goes above your, your earthly thought, faith is so much higher and above. And it's like going into a place where your body won't believe it. Your mind won't believe it, but you got to do Believe, because your mind is governed by earthly things. So you've got to draw in the Word of God and God grows your faith God gets you there.
Simon Pinchbeck:So where do we go when we're in trouble? Allah Jesus, quick go to the garden again Garden of Gethsemane, call out to the Lord Father, not my will, Your will be all will be done and that's when the radical obedience will come in.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Because the light Simon his sign, isn't it when you think that the will of the flesh is the will of the Earth, the natural plane, but the will of the Father is, is faith is we are believing, and believing.
Simon Pinchbeck:Because we're never we know Ben we've spoken about enough that will never beat the flesh in the flesh. You can't eat us impossible, it'll overtake you if you try and beat it by yourself, as to be the spirit to overcome now as to be your faith that rises up and overcomes that and as to be a belief you know a faith or belief
Reverend Ben Cooper:so when you talk about radical faith that the prosperity healing and all that will tell you a belief in your money believe that you're gonna get a leg grown believe you're gonna you're gonna get another a believe you're gonna get no Ryan has sent me read almost. But actually faith, the Biblical faith is about believing in the deity, the Father, the Son, Holy Spirit, just believe. Because that's what Jesus says, just believe. He wasn't teaching on healings, then he wasn't showing you what you can do. He was standing with them, and he was with them. And he said, just
Simon Pinchbeck:believe, that's where he said, just believe.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Believe in me believe in the Father, believe believe. Believe in, believe in me standing in front of you. Because I am the word I am the Way the Truth and the Life. So it's believing. Not that I'm going to get material gain. Not that I'm gonna get this miraculous healing, but I am believing in God, seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else shall come unto thee. Yeah. And actually believing in God and believing in that word, actually takes the attention away from everything else.
Simon Pinchbeck:Everything else, you know, Father,
Reverend Ben Cooper:not my will, but Your will be done on that word that's coming up.
Simon Pinchbeck:If it's your will, then then I'm happy with that. Whatever you is in front of me, if it's your will, I'm happy with it. You know, James goes on to say he says, But let him ask him five without doubting for he who doubts it's like a wave of the sea driven and tossed in the wind. Yeah, yeah. For let me let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. Because he is double minded man. unstable in all his ways. So if you if, if you're not believing, then he's 100% right there because what's gonna happen? You're gonna be listened to that guy over there. And he's gonna tell you this. Oh, oh, hold on. He said something quite like that. Now, yeah. Believe in the Word. We believe in Jesus, we
Reverend Ben Cooper:come back to the doctrine, come back to the willow document matters. That's where it comes to, doesn't it? And you know, so everybody that's listening to this today. I again, I am a sinner saved by grace, I am the least of the least I'm a wretch. But by His grace, I'm saved. I'm not living perfectly no one can actually say that. The more I want Jesus, the more I realize that I've fallen short, but by the blood of Christ, by the power of His Word, by the power of speaking and being completely open and honest. Yeah, I've found that this I've found that many times has been a father many times as being a husband many times as a pastor. I've found 1000s of times in every area of my life, but but I'm still a Son of the living God.
Simon Pinchbeck:Amen to that. And remember, you remember the words was it a listen, sure. And who said, Yes, I'm not worthy.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I'm not worthy, but only say the words just say the word. So the word is everything isn't a radical faith. Simon has bought a real challenging couple of words to the table. But it wasn't Simon it was the power of the Holy Spirit. It was the power of God, speaking to him, and wherever you are across the world today. I thank God for the church and what we talk about because, you know, there are many people that need that and God is with you. And this is such a big conversation what we're talking about but just believe Simon finish this off,
Simon Pinchbeck:just below, just remember, you know, we, we love you all out there. And if you've ever got a subject you want us to talk about, then email us at Simon at CS talk.uk. And we'll bring it to the table. But just remember the last word I will say is that Jesus never said that by me. He didn't give any orders. He just said, trust me. And through that trust, then obedience will come and then we'll see the miraculous happen. So were my friends. Thank you for listening out there. Tell everyone about this. Share it with whoever you you feel lost put on your heart, but radical faith lease or radical trust at least a radical obedience that leads to their miraculous and we'll leave you with that.
