So obviously today, we will see you tonight at the midnight hour as we just pray. And as we just take bread together. And as we gather around the world against those three times a day, I'm afraid that You sent Me sent in front of your lens. But thankfully, you've got the power just flick it off. But for all those who want to keep me on for the next 45 minutes or so, may God bless you and strengthen you this morning. I started in that scripture in Mark chapter 14. And it's been sitting in my spirit for the rest of the day. And I just want to lead us back into that and just maybe just not go over what we had this morning. But just look at something a little bit different. Because of everything that's happening around this nation turn throwing and different things that are going on the fuel crisis, the poverty situation, that government not being accountable to us and different bits and pieces that are going on around the world, the church, doing what it wants to do, you know, there's this so much going on the I'm very respectful for the leadership that we have very respectful for, for the monarchy that we have, I get all that I understand that. But but we are living in very powerful times we are living in very powerful times. The needs of the people are extremely high. The fear is extremely strong across this nation, but we got to gotta just hold tight in the Word of God, maybe you're just dipping into this live stream service for the first time. Maybe you're you're not a churchgoer, maybe you're just dipping in and out of social media, you've just come across me this evening, just in the Scripture, I just want to say thank you for your life, or whatever your situation is, wherever you are, across the world, whatever the time is, it's 736 here within the UK, and we know we get people across the world sharing these podcasts, literally 1000s of downloads of these podcasts that we've done, and I'm so blessed to be able to journey with so many of you. I haven't got a clue how many watch this capture this week, got a bit of statistics. But for those in the world of podcasts, and it's a pretty clear cut, statistical measure that we have, and it's very, very, it's amazing. So let's just jump straight into the gospel of Mark for the synoptic Gospel of Mark chapter 14. And from about verse 30, to round two about verse 45, roundabout there. And I just want to just want to let you know tonight, that God is with you, God is with you. You know if you are facing trials and tests and stretch, the stretch beyond your mind beyond your computing beyond your thinking and understanding, you know, maybe you are a new believer, maybe you just popped online and then you've got to just have a look and see what this this blokes waffling on about what this vicars rambling on about wherever you are and whatever you are, whoever you are, I really believe God is moving in your heart and your mind and your spirit. But we are in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 14. You know, faith is a very interesting, very interesting subject faith. What do we believe in? We believe in the fundamental points what is Christianity Christianity is just is a belief in the eternal God, the God of Israel, Christianity, Christ in me so much such a great subject such an enormous subject to talk about so much Christianity Christ in me, what do we believe in? We believe in the basic fundamental teachings of the Bible. Well when I say basic, I don't mean basic as in weak but they are not weak. They are strong but they are simple and they are easy but when religion comes along Elon gates it and makes it complicated. It puts a spin on it, it changes it it manipulates it tries to do this and that to it. But it is Simple following Christ, the Word of God is simple. But then we got to, then we got to migrate the belief to the living, that is the most difficult thing that I have in my life, I believe it. But then I've got to transfer it into the skin that I'm walking in. And I've got to transfer it into this body that God has created that God breathes into, even though God has created me, even though God's bought me from the dust of the earth and through the generational press that we all belong to, it's okay to believe it's, it's fine to believe it, yes, I believe but then I got to transfer the belief that I have into everyday living in a nation that is not godly. So that can be very difficult for your body to react to the to that process. Yes, there is the power of free will. Yes. The belief system. Yes, we understand that there are two dimensions, we have this dimension. And there is a dimension that we that we cannot see that that spiritual place. But what I find very difficult, and I'm always open and completely honest, is that I believe I do not have any issues from Genesis to Revelation. I don't have any qualms I am not debating God on if what he said is right, I don't have that. I believe that God said, Let there be light. And there was I believe in in heaven and how I believe in miracles, I believe whatever God has said, through the 66 books, I believe that the struggle that I have is as being a believer in this 20 of century in which I live and living in in times and living in the corruption within every and most areas of life and living within a nation that is not for God is living as a believer, I believe it my heart believes it, my mind believes it. My body believes it believes it. But then I've got to transfer my belief into actual physical living a lifestyle that is the most difficult thing I honestly believe that a believer will have is to transfer the belief upon one's body and live out what what I believe that's what I find. Very, very difficult to believe. To do not that because not because I don't believe I believe I just trust God, I love God. I walk with God spiritually. I believe in His Word. I don't have any question. I don't question His Word. i It's not that I don't doubt it or anything like that. But it's when my natural eyes lock on to this natural world and my hairs lock in and home into what is happening around me. And my character, I have so many character defects, little bit crazy, a little bit wobbly, a little bit strange, you know, all that little quirks. And, you know, as the as a lot of well spoken, people might say, I have many idiosyncrasies, but I have issues but thanks be to God that God has my issues. Yes, my characters, yes, certain things about my life. So the biggest thing that I find, is not believing is transferring that into, into into my lifestyle, lifestyle choices. Walking by the word. Yes, the Bible. The Bible is very clear. And I believe I believe, I believe I have no issue in believing, but it's to break the cycle, to break the monotony, to break the humdrum and to, to walk into a walk that as God said to Abram, he said, walk before me and be blameless Lord, that that is the struggle, walk before me and be blameless. But thank God for redemption. Thank God for the blood of Jesus, thank God for salvation. Thank God for His Word, thank God for, for justification, thank God for everything, you know, I have the information. I have the word of God. Now I've got to turn this information through the power of the Holy Spirit. And I've just got a walk in this I got a walk in the woods, I've got to trust them, hold him and just carry carry this word as I walked through. Now we're going to turn into this, this part of the text that is talking about the Garden of Gethsemane, the Garden of Gethsemane. Now, my eyes and my ears and my heart and my thinking and my logic and my understanding, and my philosophy of life is very different. It's very different to the spiritual me is a very different different area whatsoever, my earthly me. And there is a spiritual man, we understand that through the Word. There is two of us. There is two of us. You know, there is two of us in a roundabout way that that God is moving in us and then the Bible talks about the other. The other part of me is the fleshly me, the fleshly me so it's trying to live as a believer in a culture and a society that is not for God, even a mass percentage of our use religion and church and they go Medicare for every word things these days, political correctness and all that old razzmatazz on that junk that we got to be careful of. Living as a believer living as what what is a believer? A believer is someone that believes in the God of Israel, and believes in the Word of God, the Word of God is without corruption, the word of God is yes and amen. The Word of God is without error from Genesis to Revelation. So I believe in the word and I've got to transfer what I believe, and my belief system into a walk of this earth. So I've got to transfer everything that God has given me into a walk in for Christ, that will be the hardest, and almost the most difficult thing that a believer will do when we're living in a world that is corrupted. We're living in a nation that is sliding all over the place slipping and sliding, we can't seem to throw the anchor out, we can't seem to hold the ground in, in the storm that's battering against this nation. You know, we are being battered from the Northeast, the south or west, families are being torn apart, businesses are being torn about a part, the fuel cost is going up the cost of living, the fuel poverty, the universal credit issues, the social housing issues, everything that's going on. There is a lot at everybody's front door. There is a lot at this moment going on in lives in cultures and certain situations. So what I'm what I'm leading up to is this, this part of this text that we're in is where Christ it says Christ, that He fell to the floor to the ground, and he began to pray. I just want to let you know that when Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane, when you study the Garden of Gethsemane now, what we are looking at is from the garden to the cross, there are many people that are in this garden scenario at this moment, that are just before God, that are seeking God for the will and the purpose of their life and their family. Because when someone seeks the purpose of the will of the Father, the heavenly Father, for them, it affects their house, it affects their life, it affects every area of their life. So when someone is in the Garden of Gethsemane, that is, that is a great place to be, but that is a critical place to be. So there are people enter into the garden of Gethsemane, there are people on the journey that are in the Garden of Gethsemane, and then there are people coming out of will use it as the spiritual phrase for the moment coming out of the Garden of Gethsemane. But while we're we all need an experience of going into the garden. And you know, it's a point of being stripped back of laying the earth will down the flesh will the character will, the flawed Will everything upon this skin that I'm in laying everything down at the father's feet and saying, right, Lord, I need you to strengthen me, because the next stage of my journey could be hajus. If I don't get this next footprint right on this earth, if I go in my own strength, I will collapse and I will not make it, I will reach burnout, I will be exhausted, I will be tired, I will be weary. But I've got to go in the will of the Father, when I go in the will of the Father, I'm going in his strength, I'm going in his purpose, I'm going in his plan, but that can be so difficult to find that perfect will of the Father, the will of the Father, through the word of God we live in, in a nation, that is an ungodly nation, that is a nation that is very wishy washy and leadership, whether that may be in political areas and business leading, whether that is in the finance markets, whether whatever area, we are finding in most areas of life, that we do not have strong spiritual leadership. We are needing leaders in this nation to rise up and to lead because that's what a leader does. But what we have is managers, we have managers trying to manage an earthly system. When we got a spiritual crisis, we can't manage. We have an earthly system, and we can't manage life with earthly products and the products that man has computed and completed and made to fit in a spiritual crisis. No one can no one on this earth can really say that we have got this world right that we are living absolutely completely right. There is peace, there is this and that there is not we are living in a very strong spiritual crisis within the shores of the UK, from the east, the South, the north and the west. We are in a spiritual storm. And if you are a new believer and unbeliever if you're if you're wandering in and out of church, you've been battered by church route by church. God is calling you afresh and I really believe that there's this new move that we have never seen before. And I would go to the Old Testament when God said to the Israelites, you are about to leave the wasteland you're about to leave the wilderness that you need to listen to clear instruction. Because when you come out of the wilderness, you have never seen this exit gate, you have never seen this way out. And I'm gonna lead you out of the wilderness. And if you don't listen to clear instruction, you will continue to stay for another 40 years, another hajus time in the wilderness, the UK has been in the wilderness, the spiritual wilderness, for a long time, we are going into poverty of all levels, whether that is fuel, whether that is food, whether that is finance, whether that is leadership, we are poverty, poverty, poverty, sorry, Strickland on every layer of life, leadership, food, finances, every area there is there is a stretch, every system that has been created by a man is stretched to the limit where there is no movement anymore. And we are seeing things breaking and tearing down, because systems are being created by man. And man cannot fulfill the spiritual call that is on this nation. So we will see things collapse, we will see the wheels of industry grind to a halt, it doesn't matter how much oil we put on the wheels of the industry, on the wheels of the system, they will grind to a halt. Because we are in the last days we are in the book of Revelation, we are seeing an absolute move that we have never seen before. And as I said, in the Old Testament, it says very clearly that God told them, You have to listen very clearly. Because I'm about to and I want to exit you and take you out of the wilderness. There is a short window, there is a window of opportunity. And I really believe that religion and church and believers and whatever label we we put on the door of of our belief system in the church, God, he's speaking loud and clear. But I just want to encourage those tonight. I want to encourage those tonight that feel very weary, they feel very worried and feel very anxious. And I'm not talking to those in in in the world. I'm talking and speaking very reverently, and in a very encouraging way to those that are what we call within the kingdom of God. And within the church, the church, in certain areas of the church tries to tell us that everything is is a okay, and everything is wonderful. Everything is fine. And don't Don't worry, it is easy to say don't worry, but what happens when I do worry? How do I stop this worry, show me how to stop worrying, show me how to live by faith. But we have had a catastrophic mishap of of misgivings through the word of God where the church are labeled as the big brush of the church hasn't delivered the Word of God to the congregation for a few generations. We've We've dipped in, but there has been, there has been a lot missing out of the fundamental teachings of the Word of God. And suddenly we find there's no line in the sand anymore, between church and state and monarchy, and certain other areas of life. And we are all in this washing machine of the UK, just spinning around together. And some people feel that as if they are absolutely drowning. In in, in, in poverty in the dead in the fuel crisis. They're worried about their job, they're worried about their lifestyle, they're worried about their children's future. They're worried about the church, what's happening, what is the church doing? What it's not doing? I'm not hearing what I want to hear. So excuse me, there is a lot of things happening. Within the washing machine of the UK, there's a spin cycle that we're on and it's spinning. So so so fast. Time is is quickening time is isn't it is like accelerating so fast. It's not, it's not slowing down, everything is so quick, everything is so fast. It seems like there's no time to make any decisions and to wait and to do this and to let everything is so quick. So what my heart and mind is being led to right at this moment is when Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane. It says that he fell to the ground. His body took him his his physical the physical Christ fell to the ground in the Garden of Gethsemane. Let me read this text. And I pray that through revelation or knowledge, God will reveal the scripture to those that are hurting those that are in pain, those that are struggling and trying to hold it together, and almost frightened to go into some church settings and into some ministers and back into the setting of church because they're frightened and there's no one around them that they can actually say, I have an issue. I am really worried about what is ahead. I'm worried what's happened to my family. I'm worried about marriage. I'm worried about life. I'm worried about my job. I'm worried about the debt crisis. I'm worried about the debt clock rising. Yeah, I know there are people out there tonight they go oh my God shall supply all my needs according to their riches and glory. If I'm blessed and highly favored, wonderfully and fearfully made, and I can do this, I can do that. Yes, but I respect you. And I thank God for your life. But I want to talk to those that are like me, that worry about life's issues, and look into things and see things and say, God, if you don't show up now, Lord, I am worried. Worry, is a very interesting, trusting element of life. Worry sits within every person, but there are many people in in the context of church that won't even recognize and won't even speak about worry, because they are frightened beyond that worry to talk about that, because they're worried about what leaders are, say, what congregations to say what pastors say, I worry, I worry, I'm not frightened to tell people that are worried. I'm not frightened to tell people that I might have a night where I don't sleep well, because I'm worried about certain situations of life, things that are happening, things that are going on, but I draw comfort from the Scripture, the Bible says, Come to me, all of you that are weary, heavily laden, and I will give you rest. That speaks to me. Now, this speaks to me very, very clearly, as well. I'm not frightened of telling the world how I feel. I'll let you know when I'm happy. I'll let you know when I'm sad. I'll let you know when I'm emotionally distressed. I'll let you know how I feel. Because I am not frightened of putting my feelings out across the airwaves across the platform of life. Because I want to encourage those tonight, that are real believers in the Word of God, but are worried and frightened to go on Sundays to church, and to really be open and honest. Because it feels that religion is trying to box us into these happy, clappy huddle, that we're always clapping and dancing and praising the Lord and everything is wonderful. We've got our lovely white church teefin We all look smart and tidy. We're all smelling beautiful, everybody's happy. The Labrador sleeping by the fire. We cruised in a church and everything's wonderful. But I want to speak to those that are weary and tired and just downtrodden. Just because of the press of life. Christ, Christ, the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost of the Trinity. Now let's get into this. Let's get into this scripture. Now in Mark chapter 14, verse 32. And it says, They went to the place called the Garden of Gethsemane. And Jesus said to His disciples, sit and watch and pray. He took Peter he took James he took John along with him, and he began began to be deeply distressed and troubled, that that really speaks to me tonight, that the, the Messiah, the King of the Jews, the great I AM, the living Word of God, the Word of God, the Jehovah Jireh, the Jehovah Nissi, the Jehovah Chalon, the great I AM, John, chapter one says, And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. John says in John chapter one, verse 14, we have seen his glory, the Living Word is alive, the word has come into existence, he has come through, marry, he has come through the genealogy in the book of Matthew, I am a witness to say that Christ, the beginning, and the end is on this earth walk in this street, he is here. And now John says, I have seen him, I've experienced him, this Living Word from God is here on this earth. And the Bible says, And the Word became flesh, and made his dwelling among us. So then we understand, as I've mentioned before, the book of Colossians, makes it very clear, Christ is the image of the invisible God. So Christ is the image of the invisible God. So we understand that through the slim, the simple text, the slim, the simple side, my my voice is tired, my mind is tired, my lips are tight, I've been talking most of the day. So you'd have to excuse me if my pronounciation goes slightly tonight. Now, I love the fact that the King of the Jews, that the creator of Heaven on Earth, that the God Almighty, that the deity that the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, gave us salvation, but when I look at salvation, when I look at the Redeemer when I look at the one that was redeemed when I look at the one that went to the cross before he went to the cross, I find something very powerful and something very proud Prophetic. And I find something very comforting in the Word of God in Christ character. This is what happened to him. And I believe that there are many tonight drawing strength when it says this. And he began to be deeply distressed and troubled, My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death, he said to them, stay here and keep watch. Now, the theologians out there, those that are saying, Yes, we understand that that Christ was deeply distressed. He was sorrow because of the events that he knew that he had to go to. But very interestingly, when Christ is in the Garden of Gethsemane, He says, Not my will, but Your will be done. So the will of Christ was obviously different to the will of the Father. Now that can be a contention for many people, because many people will say, Yeah, Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost, he did come to seek and to save that which was lost. He is the King of the Jews, he is the Messiah, but he only fulfilled the will of the father, because he went into the garden of Gethsemane, and it was the Garden of Gethsemane, and it was the ministry of angels. And it was the speech and the power of speaking very clearly to the Father in heaven, and say, Not my will, but Your will be done. When we say not My will we, we relieve ourselves of the fleshly criterias. And the flesh draws because the flesh is Will is very different to the Father's will, because the Father's will, is a spiritual world, the spiritual will, is simply the word of God, but my will will be and is very different to the will of the Father, even Christ said, Not my will, but Thy will be done. We can talk about that we could study on that we could spend hours, sermonizing doing some expository Bible study, we could, we could open that up, we could open up the envelope with that text and look at that, and understand what was Christ talking about when he said, Not my will, but Your will be done? Was he looking at the cross through the spiritual eyes and the coal and who he was, and saying to himself, because we understand the Scripture says, The man, Christ Jesus. So here we have the man, Christ Jesus, and we understand that Colossians says, Christ is the image of the invisible God. So we have the complexity and the mystery, as the New Testament writer writes very clearly, that the gospels that Genesis through to Revelation is a mystery. And it needs to be revealed, we have information, but information needs to be turned into Revelation, information will only stay information, because information just sits in the box of the mind. But the box of the mind cannot bring revelation, because information is it's stuck at a certain level information only has a certain amount of information. But revelation is completely different information is of the mind. And Revelation is of the Spirit of the Living God. The Bible says the Holy Spirit teaches us what does the Holy Spirit teach us, he teaches us and He reveals the hidden treasures that are in the Word of God. So I have information on Christ, I have information through the word of God. So I am limited because I can only understand the information that I read, the information that I read, needs to be turned into Revelation, but I don't have the strength and the capabilities of turning it into Revelation because I am a human being. So I just walk and I live by faith. Yes, that is completely different to the human suit that we're in. But our lives are full of information. Information has a level and a restriction to the human being. It is restrictive. But revelation is an I would say I will say this revelation starts from where information finishes where information hits the ceiling, Revelation starts. That's why God's word is revelation, because it is revealed. We fill ourselves with information we fill ourselves with word we fill ourselves with doctrine we fill ourselves with with the presence of God, but God reveals it's very clear in the New Testament that Paul writes, that the gospel that I am writing the text of the letters that I write what I bring before you what I present before you as I write this, it is being revealed. It is a mystery as I go but as I go, it has been revealed not through information. It has been revealed through Revelation so every believer hits a point in their lives where we are full have information. Now we might get that very clearly for the study, we might get that through theological stretching, we might get that through academics, but all this stuff has a level. And then when that level stops, we find that revelation supersedes and Revelation starts and goes ahead. But when we look at the text that we're in at this moment, it says, This is really beautiful for me to understand that if I get in a position of fear, I know that Christ was in a position of being overwhelmed and distressed and brought to a point of sorrow. But we are living in a culture where you can't really express your feelings, because we are herded into the, to the understanding where we got to be very robotic, where we, we can't speak from our heart, because if we speak from our heart, we show that we are weak, you are not weak, because you show your emotions, you are strong, because you are not frightened of showing your emotions in a very robotic and a very information filled world information has no feelings. What has feelings is when Revelation reveals the information and the information suddenly is turned into Revelation. So religion what is religion? Religion is information. What is Revelation, Revelation is the king's word coming alive within us. So it's okay to worry. Let me emphasize this again, if you are a believer, and you worry, do not hide your worry from your Christian brothers and sisters, if anybody judges you, and anybody looks at you, and says, Well, you are a believer, you shouldn't really be worrying. Take them to the gospel that we are in at this moment Mark, chapter 14. And the text that we are in where it says Christ, the great I Am the King of kings, and the Lord of lords fell to the ground. We understand that he was in prayer, we understand that he was in sorrow, we understand that he was overwhelmed if Christ was in sorrow, If Christ was overwhelmed, If Christ fell to the floor, I would expect that I will do the same things more than once more than 1000 times more than many times and I can count and I am not ashamed to say that sometimes in my life, I live by fear, and I live by worry. But when I live by fear, and I live by worry for moments, I just say God help me. Father, will you come and remove the fear? Lord, I'm, I need to walk on water today, because I hear you call in. But Lord, I'm looking at the storm. I'm looking at the environment. I'm looking at the situation around me when Christ calls or things are possible to those who believe believing is easy. When you look at it in your mind, converting the belief to the walk is very different. Now when we look at the Garden of Gethsemane, we find something very profound and very prophetic. And something very intriguing to the believer that he's going through stress and strife, pain on worry about on a Sunday morning, we put our church teeth in and we come in and jump up and down and hallelujah. We're actually sitting in the church, we're distressed and we're worried we're overwhelmed with the crisis that's happening around us. We're worried about how we're going to get to work this afternoon I'm I've got enough fuel to put in the car. I've got to feed the children. I've got this I've got that. I just want to encourage those that feel like that tonight, because let me read this again, let me let me read this again very clearly. This is for my purpose. This is for my benefit tonight. Because I know that there are many on the other side of the lens tonight that I've got oldest Christianity Banda Baghdad and also in your you're living the dream. But I know that there are a few that are stressed and worried strong believers, not doubting the belief, but have moments where a panic attack comes in, where fear suddenly overtakes the body, where the adrenaline and the chemical fight and flight situation comes in, and panic arises. And then suddenly we're in this, this posture in this position of God, what is going on? You know, it's not because Christ has left us nor forsaken us. It is literally because we are being completely authentic and being completely real. And saying, Lord, I've got a moment of worry at the moment, Lord, I'm worried about my children. I'm worried about marriage. I'm worried about life. I'm well I'm worried Father God about jobs. Laura. I'm worried about what what is ahead for the children. I'm worried. You know, I would have concerns if anyone said to me, I never worry. I never worry. Oh, it's in God's hands. I would I would have I would have are very concerned about Anyone that said that to me, because I find myself always been drawn to the text when I worry, I believe God leads me and I know God leads me to situations in the disciples life where they was worried and they was fearful. If it is you, Lord, call and I will come. Don't be afraid. When John was on the island of Patmos, he said, Don't be afraid. It is I, you know, God created you, God created me. He knows the character flaws that I have. He knows the emotions I go through. He knows the moments of faith that I have. He knows the moments of fear that I have, he knows that I will have struggles, but his love endures forever. As the as the Old Testament, the good old Old Testament says, His love endures forever. His love endures forever. His word is yes, and amen. But for those that might be struggling at this hour, those that might be just fearful of tomorrow, maybe you got an interview coming up, maybe the your contract is running out, maybe you're stressed at work, maybe there's issues at home, maybe you're worried about the children, maybe there's there's an there's an addiction that is trying to be broken in your life, and, and you can't tell anybody, and you're, you've got all this stuff going on, and you feel so far removed from God, you are not far from God, God is with you. And God is within you, actually, you have the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and God is with you. But we have a very interesting text night before our very eyes. And it says again, let me put these glasses back on, let me pull them out me boat. And let's have a read. He says going a little further, he fell to the ground and prayed that if it is possible, that this hour might pass from him this hour, there are many people in an hour, an hour very interesting what it says that he fell to the ground and pray that if it is possible, the hour might pass from Me, Abba, Father, he said, everything is possible for you. Take this cut from me yet not what I will. But what I but what you will, verse 36. Look at verse 36. If you've got a Bible, let's just spend a moment very prayerfully. Very reverently, very calmly, and very quiet. Just let's let's just read that again, verse 36, of Mark, chapter 14, Abba, Father, he said, everything is possible for you. So he is, he is recognizing that this is the Father. And also we understand in the New Testament, He says, I and the Father are one. So this is a very interesting, this is a deep theological text, this this is very close running with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, this is this there is no separation, there is no separation from the Godhead, or from from the deity. And it can be a mystery to many of us what what we are reading because when we look at this, we think, well, Christ said that He is the father, Christ said that that is the Word says that He is the image of the invisible God. So almost we are looking at a text that is clearly saying that Christ is looking at himself. But Christ is looking as the as the understanding as the Son, and the father. Very interesting that the sun is standing before the Father, and the son is saying to the Father, but we understand that the sun we're in in other parts of the text, you know what I'm going to say the sun is the living God, and the living God is the sun. But when we look at this text, we have the sun we have the man, Christ Jesus, looking in the mirror, almost add himself but he's not looking at himself, but it is himself but what it is, is the father, so the son is in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Messiah is in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Redeemer. The Redemption plan is in the garden. And when I look at that text, what do I find? I find Christ in the man Christ Jesus saying, very clearly going on a little verse in verse 35, says, going on a little further, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible, the hour, he prayed, if possible, that will throw the church into a deep spin. Christ prayed, if it is possible, take this next step away from me. Very interesting, isn't it what Christ prayed? He fell to the ground and prayed that if possible, the hour might pass. I cannot cope with what is ahead of me, I cannot cope, what is within the hour, I cannot cope what this cope with what this cup represents, but not my will, thy will be done there. I'm going to come back to what we was talking about a moment ago what I was talking about, and you brothers and sisters were listening is that this is this is, this is such a strong text from the garden to the cross. And there are many of us going from the garden to the cross, that is the journey. None of us can escape the garden experience and none of us can escape the cross experience. But I can hear many people shouting out, what do you mean? No, we are going to the cross up not sat down about the cross of Calvary, we are going to pick up our cross. What does it mean to pick up the cross the spiritual cross is to deny oneself? How difficult is it to deny oneself? What is it about denying oneself denying of oneself is leaving the earth Ben on the earth and picking up the cross. What the cross represents what the cross means, is dying to the physical death and being resurrected through the power of the living God, and through the word of God and picking up the spiritual cross. He says pick up your cross daily. But Lord, when I pick up the cross, I am picking up the will of the Father and I am laying down the will of the human me, I am picking up the will of the Father, picking up the will of the Father is a very difficult and a very hajus thing to do. And I hear many people screaming almost at the lens tonight, what do you mean you are a pastor you should be should be saying how easy it is it is not easy being a believer because when you are a believer, you are like the salmon swimming upstream against the tide of the UK against the current that is coming towards you. Do you feel that you are almost exhausted, but the salmon has to swim and swim and swim, the Scottish salmon has to keep going, the salmon cannot afford to go to the left nor the right in some places of the wall where the environment on the riverbank is so tough if that salmon was to come out of that stream, that salmon will be taken by the bear that salmon will be taken and ripped apart. I cannot afford to come out of the stream, I have got to almost keep swimming and keep pressing in the Word of God. And it may feel that you are literally walking and pressing against a tide and a wave that is coming against you. But there are many in the culture of church, many in the band of church that are always on the revival skin drum beats in it everything is great and wonderful. When the textbook for me talks about the Messiah, the King of kings and the Lord of lords falling to the ground and praying. If it is possible, take this hour from me, but not my will. Very interested in what was the will of the Messiah. We're gonna leave that there tonight. And we're gonna look at that. Do you feel? Do you feel like we're just using this as an analogy, we're just using this as a as the story form. We're just using this, the salmon scenario, you know, for goodness sake, don't go off and go past the ban of aliens when he says I'm a salmon swimming upstream, you know exactly what I am talking about. We are pressing against the tide and the rhythm of the world. The rhythm and the rhythm of the world is a complete different rhythm to the heartbeat of God. When you capture God's heart, suddenly you realize the rhythm of the world, the rhythm of the world is very different to the heartbeat of God. And I find this so strong and so powerful and so prophetic and so freeing, where the Bible says we're the Spirit of the Lord, there is liberty. I find that there is liberty tonight in this scripture from from from the worry of being a believer and being worried about telling another believer that I am a pastor, I am a worship leader. I am a Christian and I've got worries because there are certain people in religious areas and what you find the greatest way to find a person that calls themselves a Christian to find his sit exactly sorry, where they sit within the framework on the structure of Christianity is to Just tell them how you feel. Because when you tell them how you feel, their reaction will tell you whether they're Kingdom people, or are they religious people? If they're Kingdom people, they will go don't worry, Pastor Ben, don't worry, brother, don't worry, sister, I have the same thought. I've had the same feeling. But you know what, we'll pray this through we'll walk this through, because I had the same and God helped me and God guided me. But a religious person will stand at the at the point and point the finger. And everything that runs with that a kingdom person will wrap you and cover you and carry you and walk with you that is the difference between a kingdom person someone that belongs to the king and someone that belongs to Pharaoh because religion is very is a Pharaoh is a pharaoh culture. Pharaoh there is Pharaohs culture, we won't go into that. It just want to stay in verse 35. We're going to bring this to a finish very, very soon. We're gonna we're gonna bring this to a finish, there is no way of finishing this done a while I said it a little bit. Crackers tonight, oh, noes. So you can never finish the Word of God, what I should have said was, we will bring it to oppose and we will just hold it. But God will continue to move his scripture. Now I just want to go back into this text again, I just want to go back into it. And I believe this is a very Joshua quotation from the book of Joshua, where God made this very clear to Joshua, meditate on it. So if you are struggling, if I am struggling with with a biblical text or a biblical phrase or a biblical terminology, if I'm struggling struggling with a with a deep text, what do I do? I don't just I just don't push it aside, I, I actually bring it back to myself. I I bring it back up through and I speak it through and I I look at it again and I ponder on and I would use a better word than that. Ponder is getting lazy. In his speech tonight. I would use this word meditate. And I'm not talking about meditation, in transcend all, meditation. I'm not talking about yoga meditation. I'm not talking about paganistic meditation. I'm not talking about meditation that has as we see meditation in the context of the world. I am talking about meditation in the Word of God. The scripture says meditate on it day and night. Meditate on it day and night. Take it in, speak it out, bring it back, look at it, read it, sit in your environment and just say, Lord, I want this word to resonate My Spirit. Lord, I want to meditate on that word. What are you saying? What are you saying through your scripture? Lord, I want you to reveal this word. Lord, I need the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit is the teacher. The Holy Spirit is the advocate. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the Holy Spirit will bring us into this posture of teaching. But we got to have what what is really critical for a believer, and especially for someone that sits in in a position that I seen is that I am teachable, if I am not teachable, is game over? A Christian needs to be teachable, a Christian needs to have a teachable spirit, a Christian needs to be able to be able to be taught. Now if I am critical, I not only become critical, but I become very opinionated. If I become opinionated, I become very jealous. Now there is so much within opinions and jealous. And and my mindset and my opinion and this opinion, how many people that that are in our lives that that say this sort of lying to us? Well, my opinion is this or my opinion is that I don't want to be around opinionated people. I want to be around spirit filled people that have the ability to actually say very publicly and very loud. I want God to teach me because I don't want to become rigid. I don't want to become I want to actually become transparent where there is nothing within me that that is hidden. I want you to I want everything to be exposure and to be seen. Everything can be spoken about. I don't want anything hidden. Lauren, I want to be teachable. The Bible talks about I have to be teachable even as pastors and leaders, bishops and deacons, if I am not teachable, that's the end. That's the end of the story that's finished. I have to be teachable. And the only way I can be teachable is through the power of the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit is the teacher is the Comforter, the Holy Spirit teaches us. There's so much to get in this. This this text is very deep. I'm just gonna read this one more time because time is escape pin us tonight time is just flying by my friends. Verse 35, going a little further, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible, the hour might pass from him. This is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Let me just remind those revivalists that are always willing to pitch a tent up, wave a flag and shout hallelujah things are good. This is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. This is the living word, praying to the God of Israel, looking at himself in the eyes of the theological press that we are in from the Sun to the Father. But when you go a little bit further, you will find that this is the image of the invisible God and the Word became flesh. This is the living word. This is the Word of God, looking through the eyes of the sun into the eyes and speaking very clearly in the Garden of Gethsemane, and saying these words in prayer, if it is possible, take this hour from me. That gives me peace. That just knocks or the flag waving into the ballpark. It just destroys all that razzmatazz. This the Christianity, all the rhetoric of all that because I have before my very naturalize, I have the King of kings and the Lord of lords, praying a clear prayer, a clear prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. And for everyone that's in the Garden of Gethsemane, you are leave leaving the garden stronger than you ever thought possible. What you have in the next stage of your journey, you will see great things and you will see miracles, because you have been obedient to go into the garden and fall to the floor and say, God, I need your will. Because when I come out of this garden, when I come out of this prayer place, I need the strength of the God of Israel to strengthen me on the next stage because there are many people going to the cross. Now I'm not talking about the cross the crucifixion, what I am talking about is that there has been many, and there are many that have not really picked up the cross daily. I am not talking about someone going to the cross and dying as Christ died, because the scripture says one sacrifice once and for all. But I am talking in a spiritual sense. I'm talking in a spiritual language. I'm speaking in the biblical language of where it says, pick up your cross. So each and every one of us has to go to the cross pick up the cross. And once we pick up the cross, what the cross Christ do on the cross, he denied himself. But Christ denied himself where Christ denied himself in the Garden of Gethsemane because he said, I'm gonna read this one more time. And then I'm out of here. He says, he fell to the ground. And he prayed that, if possible, the hour might pass from him, Abba, Father, he said, everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. No Revival flag, no evangelical message, no, name it and claim it message from Jesus here, I'm afraid to say Christ is saying to himself, but saying to himself, from the perspective of the Christ, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, as the man Christ Jesus, looking to the Father, the heavenly Father, and saying, Father, there comes a point, when every preacher, teacher, whoever we are, has to recognize the authority sits with whom the authority sits with the Father. It doesn't sit with the authority of this world. It doesn't sit with the all the authority of this nation, the authority of this world of your destiny sits with the father in glory. Isn't it interesting that he said Abba, Father, I'm going to finish we're going to pause and I pray that God will take you further because I can only lay out I can only lay out and as I lay out, God takes what I lay out and God takes it deeper into your heart, your mind your Spirit, and God opens up his Word in you. I thank God for your lives. But wherever you are to As we bring this to a finish, I pray that God will strengthen you and God will guide you. But for all those that are worrying tonight, don't worry about worry. Don't worry that you are a believer, a Bible believing believer and you are worrying. Because when you look at Mark chapter 14, and you read from 32, to the end of 36, you will find the Messiah praying a very interesting prayer. A very interesting prayer. God bless you, God strengthen you. But I would say this, don't be frightened of a garden of Gethsemane experience. It is a place of strengthening. It is a place of enduring. It is a place of revealing. It is a place of laying oneself down. It is a place of praying and unusual prayer, maybe because Christ prayed a very unusual prayer. We don't hear the church speaking and sermonizing and doing expository sermonizing and Bible studies. In this prayer, Christ prayed, if you can, if it is possible, take this hour from me, but not my will, Your will be done. God bless you and strengthen you. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
