In fact, what this does, in many respects, this reflects what Paul says in Romans seven, wretched man, I am. The good I would do, I can all, but I do the bad and, and he comes to the at the end there where he says, Who will deliver me from this body of death. Thanks be to God through Christ Jesus. And unfortunately, there is a chapter division right there where there shouldn't be. It says, Thanks be to God through Christ Jesus, therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Paul is saying, I recognize the corruption of what I am as a foreign man. Yeah, I recognize there is no good thing that dwells within me. I am unable to attain to that which God commands me. How can I attain to it? Thanks be to God through Christ Jesus, He will deliver me from this body of death. Wow, okay. Therefore, because he recognizes this, he can then go on and say therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ us. Yes. Yes. Yeah. So Matthew, chapter five, verses one through to 12 that were that were in coming back to the pulpit what you said, very rarely, very rarely Can I can I know, I'm actually I'm just just trying to backtrack, Frou Frou, all this, as we're looking at the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount, the preaching and the teaching is, is not being given. No. So then Jesus goes on to say, Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted now this morning. Is if you can, for you all use it personally, I would apply it to myself, the death of your mother, yes, was a grief beyond your bearing 100%. Okay. This grief goes beyond that. This grief, because of the conviction of the understanding of your corruption must go so deep and the the grief and the wailing, the crying out to God. The need we come back to Paul again, who will save me from this body of death read this, this very much reflects what Paul is saying that he knows that in and of himself, it is impossible for him to do anything to bring salvation to his soul. But there is movement of freedom. But beyond that, so beyond the bereavement, it's beyond a break. It's a bereavement to understand how completely corrupt you are. How we are. Yeah. You won't hear that. In the English spoken church. How corrupt we are. I mean, they don't like it. The majority of church doesn't like this term, because it's it. It stems from an explanation of the five points of Calvinism. Yeah. total depravity, total depravity, not utter depravity, it doesn't mean I am I am the worst that I could ever possibly be. Yeah. Because there's all some sin I could do. That's worse, I could always double down on that sin. Now what it means this total depravity is in line with this, that there is nothing I can do to save myself, there is nothing that I can stand before the living God and find justification before him. Yeah. Wish something within his name. There is no good thing that were listed within his flesh. And this is Christ given this loud and clear, yes, this is coming from the living word. This is coming from the King. This is coming from Christ and He is telling us this clearly. But trying to accept it as someone in the church is we're not like that. No, no, no, no. But Jesus is telling me that I am Yes. And you're blessed it and I'm happy you recognize it, you're blessed. All right. And I can see that if you recognize this that you are blessed because you know your need of him is coming to the end of yourself and when Do you think you've reached the end of yourself? You're just starting to think about coming. Can we ever reach the end of that? I don't know. But he says here that you shall be comforted. Now this word. I think it's perfectly Oh, if I remember rightly, it comes from it's yes, it is. Apparently, it comes from the same word where we get parakeet or the comforter, or come the Holy Spirit. The parakeet Yeah, right. Yeah. Now, what is being said here is that when you recognize how fallen, fallen and corrupt you are, when you start wailing, and crying, and beseeching God for mercy, because that's what you do. Yeah. All right. It isn't. Oh, woe is me. Poor little man. It's wise. May God help me. Yeah. Because I cannot help myself. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, in the Comforter will come at that point at that point. Okay. Now, what is it? We've spoken about this particular him in the past. Amazing Grace. This mirrors what Newton understood. Yeah. A mighty grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. So that, as you said, at the beginning, there is no wording that you can actually, when you put it the way you've put it, and you've explained it, the way you've put it, even though the way you've explained it and put it there is more to it than the English language is, it's very much we don't have the capabilities of getting to that point with any of the language really do it. We don't We can't get to that. That point where Christ sees us as a world that we won't warm reached that point. But just back in a bit, Steve is has given me comfort. Because when we are trying to explain this, and Steve is trying to take us to a depth of some form of understanding, when we reach that we haven't really reached it. But when we cry out to that morning, the Holy Spirit in the darkest depths of the morning, gives us comfort. Well, It's he who causes us to cry out to God. Yeah. Alright. You you're there, you're crying out before and I'm saying this as someone that's experienced this, someone went through this is not a right. There's no it's not gone through just a once this is where you get to that point where you are so bereft and you're so convicted. You just don't know which way to turn. And then he comes and says, seek God's mercy. And yeah, and then you think you get so low that you can't get any lower, but he meets us in that lonely place. And so the comforter, so all this jumping up and down in church, call on the Holy Spirit when we're happy and joyful. The Bible is telling us that The opposite you we should be in church shot in a wretched manner my absolutely crime from the very depth of our heart, then the comforter comes and brings the comfort Yes, then there is progress. But if I'm at the top of the mountain when I should be at the base of the mountain and digging my grave of God, bury me, you are so holy, and I am just, I am nothing I am work on the dirt of the earth. Because to be honest with you, there have been times when I've been in that condition, and attempt to comes and says, then walk away, Curse God and die much the same as judge. You left it. Yeah. But the Spirit says no, no cry out to God. And that is a very personal walk, isn't it? The depth of the loneliness, the loneliness, the loneliness, the darkness. God is with us. Yes, we can't as the psalmist. And I think you mentioned Tozer the other week or the week before, when he quotes about, if I go to the depths of the earth or the heavens above wherever I go, I cannot escape your presence. So even in this, this is Jesus given us clear teachings, when you reach the depth of the depth of the depth, you've got a long way to go, but I will. I will be reviewing. Yeah, yeah. That he might know that reason life. Because he understood that without that resin life, yeah, there is no good thing that well, it's with him. Yeah, and then he says, Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Now, the word make in some translations, it says gentle, but the word make really means that we yield ourselves to God and our content in house so whatsoever way he wishes to deal with us. And we acknowledge that all his wise Oh good. Okay, so that we are convicted of the depths of depravity, we are brought to a place of crying out, we are given instruction by the Holy Spirit that He will comfort. And as we come at that point, we say, Not my will be done, but yours, no matter what it is, no matter how you design it and work it out. Whatsoever you choose to do. Do all right. But then we understand what Paul said, we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. So the point being here is that this wretched man who casts himself upon the mercy of God says Let your will be done. Because I know howsoever you work out in my life? Yeah, it will be good. And it will be full of good goodness. And it is yielding. And in the yielding, we come to the next Blizzard are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for those shall be filled. Or satisfied depends on which you have. But the hunger Yeah. When you've come to this place now. You crave Christ. Yeah, he is our righteousness. We crave him we this hunger. I've never been that hungry. Right? I mean physically. Yep. So I can't relate relate in a physical term what it is to true hood I understand what it is to come before Him and cry you've more and more drive him Yeah. And and you can't get enough. It's like you're just Yeah. Hunger. What Yeah, for us where we sit. We can't bring that apparent. We can't get an understanding what it's like We got so much film around us, but to be so hungry, so hungry to the point of death, yes, but these all of these experiences go beyond the physical anyway. Yeah, all these experiences go beyond. So that when we come to this place of yielding to God and cite, your will be done there rises up a craving a hunger, a yearning, a thirst which is painful a painful thirst I must have him we come back to Paul again again oh I might know him and the power of his resurrection the teachings that you were looking at the teachings of Christ how powerful to have this to be like this to want this to yearn for this this is a true place of of beginning isn't it? Yes, a true place of beginnings is where you've come to the end your your poor or what we've said and then not only are you like that your body's in the point of not making it because you're so firstly you're so hungry you're you're physically physically down you're spiritually done. You can't get any lower you're you're at that deaf stage where I need it now because you're looking back this is all going on this is a complete thing and you're looking at the the poverty of your Spirit and you know the only way that you can find satisfaction is Christ the and then when you start you have to have it because you can't start you can't stay with this anymore you can't this this this this corrupt spirit or hate it or your I've got to find freedom from this I've got to find him you can Daniella use the word fanatic some crazy like when you look at some of the old prophets they would like look at you see he'll What's wrong a so is so bizarre so strange. So when you look at what a believer should be you would pick them out in the crowd and go what this is what i You're not well, this is like but you look across the platform a church and is your phone's going on, isn't there? There's your phones and tapping on the clock thinking or when we're going to get home like there's no hunger there's no there's no pain for him. There's no hunger that goes beyond there's no poor in spirit. There's there's no cry out no isn't across every denomination. So this is the sort of thing also, that happened in the great whitening with Wesley Whitfield that, especially under summer Whitfield's teachings, that people became so convicted, you see, again, we come back kind of Holy Spirit, will convict the world of sin. Yeah. But he is our comforter, so he will comfort us after the conviction. And it was only that as whitfill began to preach, you see, the good news of Jesus Christ is that He came to save sinners of whom I am chief. Yeah, but you have to understand what you are. What you are, is what you are. This is my this is the depths of your corruption. Yeah. And the only way you can obtain that peace with God through Christ is through this one is to go through every one. Yes, again, and again, and again. And again. And as I say, it starts with it should start unfortunately, doesn't happen too much these days. It should start with this Sunday, coming out of conviction of sin with the preaching of the gospel. You see what we have this idea today which is preached, God loves you unconditionally, but that's not true. His unconditional love is towards his children who are found in Christ. Yes, yes, but outside of Christ, that so there is a condition, there is a condition that we have to fulfill which we cannot fulfill, to know the love of God and pass from under his breath. That is when he Christ. Yeah, and we need faith to believe in Him. And we need to know how destitute and corrupt we are. And only God can give us what is needed, that we might be saved from the rest. That is still reserved for those that will not yield to Christ. Yeah. For that Roth has been paused for now. Yeah. And God desires all men. Yeah. All men to come to a knowledge of the truth and be saved or sorry, be saved and come to the truth and they is the why, even today, because we're in these end times there's, there are teachers life does throw away, you know, they'll give you 25 minutes of how terrible it is, and what's going to happen on the end times, and this, that and the other, and so on and so forth. And then they say, Jesus, he coming back soon, and you better get right with him now. So if you need him just just trying to say, Jesus, forgive me, I'm done. I'm done. And it will be done and dusted. I'll get back to me work. Yeah, it's these throwaway comments. It's a throwaway comment, when actually that has nothing to do. This cuts to the very depths of a human being and also Christ is speaking this Yes. Oh, yes. This is coming from the Savior. This is coming from in this Jews that are observing, observing Jews in the temple. Yes. And I honor God these are his disciples. Yeah. Okay. And he chose them will be at one was a devil. Okay. So they would have understood clearly someone like John who was very steeped. Yeah. Yeah. Matthew, very clever, man. Tax Collector. Yeah, understanding language, understanding wording. And to have Christ say this to you. This is the this is this is the living word you can imagine he calls his disciples and he begins to teach their jaw hits the floor. But Jesus, we love you. But what are you saying, We've got to reach the point of human, nothing. Net, there's no way to describe this, this that you have to explain. You have to exit. And that is correct. It's an experience beyond human understanding. And then it's also an abiding understanding. It abides with you. It doesn't always have the strength of it, which comes out at times of prayer. And when when you come before God, but there's always that conscious need of Christ, you're spiritually aware. Yes, spiritually, you're aware? Yes. He's gonna be so careful the language we use and the way we present things, because it's just so much rubbish out there. But you're spiritually aware of this wretchedness. But in the wretchedness there's a smile in the restlessness, there is a comfort as he's saying, when you feel like when you see this, you're blessed, because you have been given Yeah, you have been given sight to see how terrible you are, and how gracious God is. That's why this is, this is why you're blessed. You're not just blessed, because you see how corrupt you all you probably know that, but you're blessed because you know how corrupt you are. And the living God still loves you and desires to do something. Deal with this. That's correct. And that scripture comes from I am blessed and highly favored. Well hang on a minute before all that starting, shouting, hollering and dancing. God's got a plan for me. Yes. And this is the plan. This comes back to this, doesn't it? Yes, it this is where you've got to, you've got to reach this point. I'm blessed and highly favored. Yeah, I'm gonna get this, I'm gonna get that. But we'll come back. And we always err on that the favor which goes into prosperity, which goes into wealth, which goes into monetary which goes into possessions, when actually you're going to be stripped back of that you're not going to own anything, you're going to have to come to this sort of saying any way you realize all that is, is is just not there. But there's a layer of isn't the layers where we're like, no one don't want to get to that because the preacher has said that we're actually that preacher is a false preacher. When we have the preacher above preachers the king, we have the high priest telling us this is where you have to be and you've got to be But Lord, I'm blessed and highly favored. When you show up providing you see there is it's it starts here. Yes. It starts with the fact that I'm nothing we are bereft of all things righteous. cannot stand before God we have nothing to which we can turn. We either lean completely on the Crucified Are we done? Yeah, yeah. Then we come to this other aspect. Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. This aspect of mercy for is compassion the description of the gospel, one beggar shine, another bigger way to get bread. That is the compassion. This is the mercy that you get If this mercy to others, but it also goes to the point of forgiveness. You forgive those that trespass again against yourself. Call, you know, our father. Yeah, we say when we say the Lord's prayer every week, you know, forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us. I'll say it, but we say it. But what this Christ is saying here is for you to obtain that mercy. You have to be merciful. Oh, merciful. You can only when you're so broken down, you realize I have no right to hold anything against anyone. It just flattens everything. It just crushes everything. As I say, this is an ongoing thing, because we all struggle with the area. These areas, there are times when we find it difficult to forgive. And we have to cry out to God, to give us the ability so to do and this is here. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. You're brought to a place when you forgive. And then later on down the line. You need that mercy on yourself and yourself. Yeah, you need it now and you've received it, and you freely forgive everyone Yeah. But then when he says, bless those that persecute you, now, now I need your mercy, to be able to forgive them. But they see the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. how this fits together, can only be of Christ when you when you put all this together and the way that it's presented to us. What a way, what a way, the greatest preacher is Christ, the great high priest the way this is presented, and it it is so powerful, but it's so small, isn't it wrapped up in 12 verses or so. But it's foundational was absolutely foundational. This year, this is the life of the Christian is that dots here. The life of the Christian starts here. It's almost like the church has torn that page out of the preaching calendar as in its tours over you see, it's very easy to prove. It's very pretty easy to preach this from from the English bless it all the poorest, or even if you use Luke, Blessed are the poor doesn't say spirit, this person on the poor. Right? Yeah. And you can easily take that. And then there used to be this group back in the Middle Ages called mendicant friars are a nice word. Mainly, we just come from from mendicant. So you're completely a poverty stricken, they would go out Dominicans, and I can't remember, it's one of the fourth four groups, Dominicans and Dziedzic. No, no, I think the Jesuits were Franciscans, they would go out and they would minister to the poor, even though they're poor, beyond poor beyond the poor, all they went out with was just a sacar setting, you know, a stick, and I begged arms so they could live. So I could exist, and then brought the Gospel so that they could at that time to the poor, who were as destitute as as this is being explained here. And so there was this outworking through the Catholic Church have tried to deal with this. Yeah, they had. They had some understanding, but they stayed in this area of poverty. Yeah. You know, Oh, my word. I mean, I think that in the Corinthian church where he says, Now I'm getting mixed up. But I mean, Jesus says what, when he says, You have heard when he spoke from Isaiah, I come to give him good news to report to the poor. This is what he's talking about the poor in spirit now, that can be so easily misinterpreted, a kind of, I think cash poor Oh, yeah. And then we see that you can wait as we've been reading this, coming out of this, you can see the where the false prophets, buying them Paul and shake and, and fashion to fit prosperity, when actually this is beyond the depth of any anything, this is, this is a place where I want to get to because, so, when we come to this area of the Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God this this term pure has several meanings. Oh, it means that you have to be physically pure and that is not that you know Eat. When the lambs were brought for sacrifice, they had to be physically pure. If they had a broken leg or if they had a blame arc or anything, it was anything. Yeah. So they were physically the way this is transferred to us the purity. Do you remember Jesus talks about? He is divine. We are the brand. Yes. And how is that the father prunes burned Vaughn hats back. That's what it's about. This is about cutting back. This is about the volumes are purified by their cutting back. Yeah. Okay. And this is what so the cut back stripped me back at it. Let it take it. That's it. And then it may get a glimmer of this. You're being made pure your bit. Yeah, because I look at that and I'm almost like if you could see me I'm almost cringing thinking this. I've just got to pack this up because I can't get nowhere near none of this. We know but it can only be attained and got to and almost thought about through him. And you're you're pruned back so that you can bear fruit onto righteous here. All right. Oh, this is painful. Steve. This is. It's good day is good. You are being pruned. We are all being proud. If you're not pruning, you've got a problem. But you're being improved. You might bear fruits of righteousness. Yeah. So that you are seen as your Master is pure. The purity comes from Him. And remember what you say from him. Remember what he says? I am the vine you all at branches remaining? Me? Yeah, you crafted your way remain in. Okay. Yeah. So this purity is not from a wild vine. No, no, no. Okay. This is a purity that stems from a vine or a branch that is in the vine. Branches, trimmed back and pruned back and pruned back until the master says you're in a position now where you can bear fruit? I am the vine. Yes. So there's a there's a connecting and a stay in a connection very much. So yeah, because we are not pure in and of ourselves. It's impossible. The only way you can be free of these desires you have to die to self you are pruned left, right, die into self you're prone product, the thoughts the thinking the actions the and the reason that you have to go through this and be pruned back is so that you there is no hypocrisy founding? Yeah, right. Yes. Yes, yes, you have to come, you have to be pruned back. So that the purity of Christ flows through you. So that you are free of guilt, free of the sin, or guilt of sin, and free from hypocrisy so that remember, it says in the word, no man can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit and what has been meant there is here this it's this point here, you can only really say Jesus is Lord, without it being true in your life. When you are pruned back so far, that there is no hypocrisy left in you. If you people, I mean, you can, anybody can open your mouth and say Jesus Islam, but the thrust of, of what the scripture means is for it to be true in your life. Your life has to reflect your past, so that you can say Jesus is Lord and it can only be done by the Holy Spirit. So he has to be at work in you, for you to be able to say that trembling is just hear, you can hear, you can hear that you can feel the Atma, you can feel the presence of God moving through these texts. But it's only when you're out there listening to this, you're probably feeling that as I'm failing as Steve is bringing his teaching to us. God is with us. And he is stripping us back. And we are grafted in. And when you reach that point, it's making me like almost want to get under the table, the more Steve's reading it out, but that's how it has to be yes, very much. Almost trying to dig your own grave to bury yourself out of the presence of this. This is what God this is what Christ desires he wants to. He wants us to understand these things so that we can be free of them. I think it's important to hold on to what Steve just said there. Christ wants this. Christ wants this. He's not saying when you get there, I'm going to blow you off the face of the earth. I want you to be here Yes. So that then we can we are You are in Me and this is where the believer needs to be at this position so oh my god. Oh, Jesus. Thank you. You have to reach the depth beyond what we can think and articulate and get into vogue. vocabulary to understand the love of God. I mean, this this, this whole section here also reflects what it says in Hebrews, that if you are a child, you will be chastised. Yes. If you are not chastised, you are not a child, you're not a child. And this is part of the chastisement in as much that we see what we are. Yeah, we see what we are okay. We see what we are and then this, we still view within and we know, we still lack so much that we are unable to appreciate Christ in His fullness. We are unable to appreciate God's love and its fullness. So we have to go back again we have to go through this again again and again. Because we have to go we have to, we have to and it has to be a familiar place. A place where we revisit this Without going into this place, we can't understand the power of actually salvation and redemption of we cannot. So this as Steve has said, this is this is more than concrete. This is this. This is the foundational point of understanding. When I understand this, now understand what redemption is what I've been redeemed from, what I've been saved from what justification means, what hope means what God is love. But it's no good in in just waving the flags and shouting about because what what I've been saved from, with the what I'm still what am I still being so am I blessed? To have a quest to see salvation sanctification, which is the extension of depths is an ongoing is an ongoing aspect. Yeah. This is why I say this. This is this continues that this aspect, this application, if you will, of the salvation that Christ gave us on the cross must be ongoing. Yeah, it has to be yes. Until the new body until we are called home. Yes. So this should be very familiar in my walk with Christ. Yes. Above everything else. Because from this, everything else comes into being Yes. That Yeah. No, we have blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God. There is much today. I remember, various commentators talking about you know, United Nations and these people. What it means it's the initial Yeah, aspect is you have made peace with God. Okay, so every line that you're talking about, and has been misinterpreted into a different gospel, isn't it? Yeah. When you look at that, what you're saying their piece actually starts with him. You've got you go through all of this, and you find that you have made peace with God. Yeah. What? Me and Chris cause of the wider spirit has worked on you, because of the way he's showing you because of what he's done our first instruction, then you have found, you have made peace with God, and because you have made peace with God, you are a son of God. Really interesting what you said, Steve, peace with God. How many of us are in church coming in and out of church time and time again, kind of got no peace, I've got no peace, because the church doesn't teach us how to get to that peacemaking place. Because if I had this in front of me, I will go out at church refreshed. Yes. Because I've laid everything. That freshman in actual fact goes back to hungry and thirsting, after righteousness, we will be refreshed by that. So if you put this text in front of counselors of the world, and they wouldn't understand they would go, you are absolutely off your trolley. You are making peace between North Korea and South Korea and so on the child of God or a son of God does God do and so find peace, and to find rest is, is digging a grave for yourself, burying yourself in everything and saying, and good doing everything that the scripture and what Steve is bringing to us today. And then suddenly, in your innermost being, cause you have done all this and you're continuing to do this? You'll find in peace, yes, you'll find the rest. You'll find the stillness in the turbulence, and that also the peacemaker, when Yeah, because you've made peace with God. Yeah. There is another aspect of it, that by you're preaching the gospel, in truth, in truth, you can help make peace. You can help people make peace with God. So you can become a peace broker rather than a mere maker. You can, through the preaching of the Gospel, bring people to a place of making peace with God, this is why religion doesn't do it. That robotic nests and the religious way that it is that people are in church and hungry and don't know why they're hungry and thinking well, because I haven't made peace with God and the gospel, the true gospel preaching, the fire of God, the bringing to the point of of, of this this, how different would it be, oh, gosh, Blessed are the peacemakers. We go on there to bless it are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake. Well, this is the kingdom of heaven, enormous. So you come to that place of obtaining that righteousness cry of God through Christ, you have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, you have come to that place of peace. You are now an alien in the world, you are now a stranger in the world, you therefore, are completely different to everybody else that walks on the earth. And because you're completely different, you will be hated. Yeah, you will be persecuted. Because you have been found to make peace with God. And you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. So you are completely and utterly different from the earth dwellers. And from the children of sight. Yes. Yeah. Until such time as God saves those that are still in darkness, yes, then they are going through the same process. They stop persecuting you, but there will still be those out there that will do so. And there will always be that and there will always be that and people say you know, i It's because you because I wasn't gonna go here but you are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. No. All right, so you're going to stand so far shine before you like the ready brick man, you can't hide when you carry that light, you're going to shine in the darkness. So you are a target or a target. But your list but you are blessed. You're happy. You're blessed. Yes, you are at peace with God. But you are a highlight for the enemy's attention. Let's not let's not we won't go die you're putting that's not why you get there. It's just a simple fact of who you are. You are who you are, you have become a target because of what has happened in your life. Yeah, you might preach with God isn't a blessing above all things you you become, you get the piece that the world is hungry for that is trying everything to find this piece that will never find it in what they're looking for. But when you go through all this, this powerful move with the Holy Spirit and listening and being obedient, you reach a place of peace with God, and you are a peace maker. But then the world is like the dogs coming to grab. Yes. And next one Blessed are you when others revile you, and are to all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account on rejoice and be glad for your reward is great in heaven for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. And the thing is that it's this is a matter of fact, that yeah, you go through this process. Christ takes you through this, lead you through this. This is an inevitability of what he has done in your life. It is inevitable. You're never gonna get away from it. At some point somewhere. Some he said, This is why so but look, you're blessed. And your reward is great. Right? I know what you're going through. I know. I've been there. I've done it. You know, I was on the cross. I understand. But I want you to understand that there is a war reward. There is an eternity for you. That is denied others. Yeah. Yeah, it's been denied. closed off, it's closed off. It's but yeah, it was such time as any of those that will turn and seek that are turned by God shouldn't say that are drawn by God the Father to the Son and ensure son, TFR to the Father. And so we have these 12 verses. We can't escape it. This is why you read these 12 verses the rest of the Sermon on the Mount develops from these from that from this all right. Without these 12 verses Yeah, the rest of the sermon on the mount is not not reachable without the first three or four verses the rest of the restaurant okay. So that's so we can see where were the issues we what Elian out there Kanye without this teaching. It's not there's nothing no, it's nothing. It's all noise and you often you often use this term religion and people don't understand what you're getting at. Yeah, because they think that religion is this any other you know, true religion is looking after widows and orphans. What they're misunderstanding your statement is that religion is in many respects is just the lip service. Yeah. Sound standing on the corners making a noise. Yeah. Look at the pagans. They're babbling their rabbit in on making a noise. That brings me back to the Corinthians. And I don't know how many have ever felt this, but I felt this If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I have all faiths, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. And the number of times I've come before God and cried out because I do not see that love within me yet. To my own understanding, all I am is sounding brass, the King James will never know noise sounded come back to this, that, bless it, are they that mourn, you mourn your condition. It's Scriptures, the scriptures are not door closes the door open, opens, open the open on. This is why it's necessary to to be able to, to draw out from the scriptures not read into, but draw out from the Scriptures. And understand that when these things, they're all there, it's all part and parcel, that when Paul speaks like this, he speaks like this. So people will come under conviction that they don't have the love. And therefore they can come back to the Sermon on the Mount. And they can mourn knowing that they are blessing because they mourn. And they know that because if this whole way that he's going to be worked out, they are going to find that love within themselves because it won't be denied them. No and this it is free and isn't it. But I believe there are many people in this position of church and what we talk about that actually feel like this, but don't quite understand why I'm like this. And the church is telling me a smile when I can't smile because you don't know the sin that I'm living in and I can't talk to you. So it's almost like the church is putting up a block. The people are sitting in the pews feeling what's wrong with me? Why do I feel like this? I don't feel right. I'm not matching what you're teaching me. I feel wretched. And I'm trying because the true gospel hasn't been preached if this was preached when you sit in a church go through a wretched Well, that's great. That's a yes, it's true. Yes. Although you have to point out you have to draw people to an understanding of what that wretchedness is. Yeah. You see, there are times when I feel Richard, it's got nothing to do with what we're talking about, you know, but you still carry, you still still carry. What was it I was praying about the other day, and the sense that I had a heart of stone. Oh, and I needed for God to take that heart of stone out and give me a heart of flesh. Or as he has in the scriptures that he would circumcise the foreskin of my heart. Yeah. About how many of that stony heart and that don't admit it, but but you can see in places where the Spirit of God comes in, and he brings look, I've spoken about joke many times, that God picked a fight with the devil because there were things in job which he didn't like, and he hated. And he wanted to get out. But Joe wouldn't listen to him. So he was taken through the maelstrom. So at the end, he would listen. Yeah, we are highly blessed because the Spirit of God comes along the comforter and pokes us and he says, I don't like this, I don't want that. And it's it's more than the the flower of cynics, the root of sin. It's the root within us. Yeah, it's the corruption. It's it's a surface that no one's holding the depth of that. The poverty of my spirit. Oh, this is you see this, the spirit is the ground out of which this sin will grow? Yeah, that's the the richness of the soil is the depth of this the corruption of my corruption, okay. And so I need this every day. There's life in the depths of corruption isn't there, of course, in the depths of the grave, I'm digging my this grave. I want to bury myself. But this is the sort of ways that you could come to a place of sinlessness you could probably come to a place where you're not doing anything but you're still being called that are still a sense of the point being is what Christ is saying here that within the old man within the life of the flesh, which you are still living to some degree, you could stick me on an island with no one around me and I'd still be in trouble. Well, of course, because the thinking is you can never get away from could never get away from yourself. You can be tasteful. Why people get drunk. It's why they go to the booze is why they do all the things he does. The whole world is running away from itself itself. So you He could be on a desert, it could be in the middle, middle of nowhere with no one can get you. And it's not then that's getting you, it's you. It's that corruption within. It's the corruption that will never ever go until I come to the Sermon on the Mount teachings and then grow from that. Yeah. And learn from that. Because Because Christ is the other thing about this as well, when he says, Bless it, happy, happy. You're welcome it when it comes again. Yes, you're welcome it when it comes again. So it comes again. I'm happy, I'm happy. I'm good. I'm good. Dealing with me, shows me that God is with me. Yes. Because he is desirous of dealing with things in my life. I feel wretched. And I feel terrible. Hallelujah. I'm blessed. Because God is with me. He's showing me areas of my life which he hates, and he wants to get rid of. And the greatest, greatest preacher that the world has ever seen priest is teaching me how to do it this. What more can I want? It's been been fantastic, Steve, you've really got us really spoke to me. And this is great, because it's it's freedom, isn't it? It brings freedom. It brings freedom it you know that there's hope. There's hope. In the darkness, there's hope. In the desolation, there's hope in the thinking there's hope. And in the depths of the grave of living in the circumstances of life, there is hope. And there is blessedness, the happy, I'm at peace and rest. So it all starts it all starts with the greatest teacher in heaven on earth. And his name is Jesus. And he's given us clear, clear teaching. Steve, we thank you so much. Look forward to seeing you again. My friend. God is with you, wherever you are. God is with you. What can we say? The Scripture today is from the Gospel of Matthew chapter five verses one through 12. When we have Christ given us clear, clear, clear teachings.
