God will make a way where there seems to be no way. And if you have a Bible, please would you turn with me before we break bread together as we be still as we rest in the presence of Almighty God? Let's turn to Psalm 56. And we're coming from verse three and verse four, we're going to keep this simple. We keep it easy as that they like shine through that studio when they're over there, you know, God is in full charge. And if there's any areas of struggles and worries and fears and doubts, what do I do? I just come to the cross of Calvary, I focus on the cross. And as you can see on the screen now, I come to the cross of Calvary, you know, we thank God that we serve the King of kings and the Lord of Lords and the cross that he was crucified on is an empty cross. He's alive. He's the first he's the last He's the great I am your God is alive. Your Your king is alive, the Holy Spirit, your counselor, the advocate is living amongst you, within you and around you and upon you. God is with you. You know sometimes we look at our lives and we look at situations and we look at that, the humdrum of everything that's just the rhythm of life, this rhythm that we all seem to dance to and I'm not referring you know what I'm talking to this rhythm, this rhythm, this drumbeat that we all seem to get in a pattern of day after day, hour after hour and I really believe God is leaving many of you to get off the wheel of life to get off the circle off and the merry go round of your culture of your life of your your business area of your you're spinning and not not saying we're spinning out of control, because you're on the potter's wheel, but I believe God is fashioning you. God is shaping you the Master is shaping you for a greater things. Dare to dream, dare to hope dare to stretch out in faith and say God, I'm not going to settle for what is around me. Lord, I'm going to believe for greater things. Lord, I'm going to trust you, Lord, I thank You, Lord, that the world do what the world is going to do. But Lord, I'm going to serve. I'm going to follow you Lord, I'm going to walk with you. I'm going to walk in your word, Father, I'm going to trust in the Word of God. I'm going to stand on the Word of God because Lord, I thank you for my church family. I thank you for my family. I thank you for pastors and leaders and thank you for everything around me. But Lord, it's you that way I will get my healing from it's you that I get my salvation from its you dig that you shall supply all my needs according to their riches and glory is you God, you are the creator. You are the Alpha and the Omega. You are the great I Am and father, I come to you at this hour. Wherever you are across the earth I come to you tonight Lord, as your daughter and as your son, and just come before you Lord, and just say, Father, I just rest at the foot of the cross, I come Lord to the to the physical cross that is just to my right and to your left, I believe, I just come to that I just standard that I look at that, and I can see it on this screen just for this laptop that I have in front of me. I can see what you can see. And as I look at that cross, I just say thank you, God for the cross the Calvary because all my sins all my transgressions, all my fears, all my worries, all my iniquities, all my doubts, everything was now across a Calvary. And that's what we're doing here. We're breaking bread together, where we're taking a cut together, we're resting in the word together. And I pray that wherever you are, at this hour, God will give you peace, God will give you rest, God will just show you the way forward and as as I mentioned a couple of moments ago, about the merry go round of life, the same drum skin being beat, beaten, day after day, the same rhythm of life the same, the same situation time after time, after time after time, again, different seasons, different weather systems, but the same drum skin being beaten time and time and time again, I believe God has you on the potter's wheel, and he is fashioning he is shaping you into the earth and vessel into the, into the into the pot that He requires. And you know, going through shaping and going through a stretching can be painful, can be arduous, can be endurance, the Bible talks about enduring, I believe that we are at a time where we got to endure and we just, we just press in and we press on and be hopeful. How does life look to you at this moment? Don't don't look through the lens of your natural eye. But look through the eyes of faith. I'll put it like that. Look through faith if you go to Hebrews 11 verse one. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen. Now faith, you know, I haven't got advised to understand what my faith journey is. I haven't got to have central perception to understand what my faith journey is. I haven't got to have education to understand what my my faith journey is. I haven't got to have academics behind me or have I haven't got a doctorate behind me, I haven't got to have a letter after my name because my faith in God, my trust, and this brings us on to this Scripture. And wherever you are, I pray that you will just trust in God know that it's very, very easy for preachers and teachers and pastors and reverence and vicars and everyone to say, and congregations of worship leaders, they just trust in God, have faith brother or sister. just trusting God gotta make your way where there seems to be no way. But sometimes you want to say that person, you want to live in my shoes for half an hour. You want to walk the carving that I have in life, you want to you want to step in my circle for a while, and then and then you'll see you know, because faith. Faith comes by hearing the message and the message is heard for the Word of God. So to walk by faith, I believe that we are being challenged as believers through through health, through financial stretch through cultural stretch, through issues in marriages through issues at home, who we live with who's under our roof in our house our business education studies you know the sun is out the sun is out everything great when the sun's out on it lovely weather. Yeah, it's great. Isn't it wonderful. But then suddenly, we have a season that is going to be coming up on a very, very quickly. We understand what the government's are saying we get what the world is doing. But you know what, if I lock on if my senses lock on, and I go by anticipation so yet anticipation is very different to faith. I gotta go by faith that just shall live by faith. It doesn't talk about anticipation when I anticipate I'm working out what my flesh or my natural understanding is for my life and what my natural and what my anticipation is, is not what my my God requires from us ask because the just shall live by faith and a big percentage of living by faith. We don't know what is going to happen because we are going by complete faith and that can be going blind into a situation because we are being led we are being led see our lives are led by perception, anticipation, financial stretch, educational stretch, postcode stretch, you know, we are boxed into so many areas but faith. Faith is a different drum completely altogether. Faith is an area where we literally just almost throw your hands onto the to the Father and throw your body and throw yourself into the presence of Almighty God but what is faith? What is trust? How do I walk by faith? How do I trust How do I lean into Jesus? How do I do all these things that the preachers and the teachers and and focus you know, the Hebrews chapter 12 Verse two, when looked up in mentioned that a lot lately, keep your eyes on, keep your eyes on. But here's an interest in our natural eyes are focused on what we perceive and what we see our families, our friends, our loved ones, our brothers, our sisters, our work colleagues, our life, the circle of our life is before our eyes all day long. It's ringing in our ears, we have the sound of the circle of life around us, we have the vision of the circle of life in front of us. So our purpose, our perception, and our senses, through our ears and our eye gate, one is picking up visual perception, one is picking up hearing. So it's all about perceiving and perception, anticipation, and living in a very material world. But But I just want to encourage you tonight, trust in the Lord thy God with all your heart, lean, not on your own understanding. But in all your ways, acknowledge Him in all your ways acknowledge Him, we're going to just quickly dive into the Scripture before we break bread together tonight. And then there is, you know, I preached it, we heard it, we walked in it, we've lived it, we smell it. We've heard it 1000 times from pulpits, just live by faith will teach me how to live by faith, just trust Him will teach me how to trust him. You know, it is it is it is so difficult. And I find this for myself to actually walk by faith, to walk by faith in a world that is very physical, a world that is very material, a world that is very humanistic, a world that is very practical, a world that goes by logic, a world that goes by mathematics and science and reasoning and understanding, and just the natural understanding of life. But then I've got to leave all these layers that I've been birthed into all these, these cultural ideas, these cultural understandings, because each and every one of us, wherever we come from on the earth have been birthed, and been brought into existence by God, but only not only have we been brought into existence by God, and we've been birthed through our mothers and and as we come into this world, through that great means of birth, and coming into this world and experience and all that, we have all been birthed into some form of a culture, of an understanding of life, all of us have cultural issues, all of us doesn't matter where we are, we pick up the trends, we pick up the hashtags, we pick up the vocabulary, we pick up the people around us we all come from, and we all have many idiosyncrasies that can be formed from the formation of our cultural understanding. And we got to be careful as well of cultural settings wherever we are birthed in the world, that cultural settings can, can really indoctrinate and really impregnate our mind, and we can actually live a life that that may be culturally, okay for a while. But there comes a point when all of us have to break out of the boxes that we've been birthed in and when we got to live free, you know, because we don't belong to a culture. When we become born again, we belong to the kingdom of God and the sun sets free is free indeed, but wherever I'm birthed, and whatever culture and whatever. And however, whatever my postcode is, there are certain areas of life that naturally follow my footsteps. Because I've been birthed in a certain layer of life, I've been birthed in a certain area of life, I've been birthed in a certain part of the world. And there is always cultural ties to me, but who the sun sets free is free indeed. So that is very difficult when we're when we're birthed into maybe strong cultures and strong backgrounds, trying not to break free from them, but trying to live by faith, see cultural ties, westernized ways of living, that's very hard when we've been birthed in the West here, especially within the UK, and certain areas of the West with the the culture that is that is upon us. And I also believe that we are living in a time when it's very Darwinistic. And what I mean I'm referring by that is it's all for don't get me wrong, but almost all for oneself, survival of the fittest, trampling on this, using the system to get through and to get on. But I just want to take us to the Scripture before. Before we press in any further before we break bread together. And I want to take us to Psalm 56, Psalm 56, verse three, if we could turn grab yourself a Bible as I've always said, the greatest investment, you know, for a tenner are 10 pounds 10 pounds you can find and you can buy yourself a beautiful Bible, and we can get you them you know, I won't stretch over there. But you can see we got a nice gold leaf Bible over there not literally gold, you know, you know what I'm saying? Nice index in it. You know, it comes from good news for everyone formerly known as Gideons ministry. We've got our brother Randy that is broadcasting members here on a Wednesday, and he is from the good news for everyone formerly known as Gideons. We can get your Bible if you need a Bible, drop us a DM you know, drop us a message. We'll pick that up and we will get you a Bible you've only just got to give us your address and we can pop that in a post. So All of us can have a Bible is great having an electronical backup is great having the electronics is great having the means and the gadgets and the apps and all that. But there's nothing finer than grabbing yourself. Without just pulled that bit out of there. What what I what I think they will live on on on a book, you know, this has really been stretched, you know, the spine of it, I've got bits and pieces missing on it. It's marked it scarred. But I love it. There's nothing finer than a paperback version of the Word of God, Lord, if you can see that it's really marked up the Sun, the Sun lights on it. But let's turn to Psalm 56. If you have a Bible, surely we must have Bibles on our shelves and take some dust off it and bring it down and get into the Word of God. And I'm referring to grabbing yourself a paperback version. So we're in Psalm 56. And as I mentioned earlier, please if you need and you're, you need help grabbing a Bible, we can get you a Bible, Psalm 56, verse through, when I am afraid I put my trust in you. When I am afraid I put my trust in you that is it. That is a scripture reading tonight when I'm afraid I put my trust in you when I but how do I put this truss? Well, how? How do I do this? You know, we get this from people around us. We learn to walk with people, we learn to journey with people. And there are people that we connect with in life and we know that we trust them, and we can walk with them. But how do we do this to an invisible guard and I will say an invisible physical Christ. And I'll probably get some texts and some emails and some theologians or give me a bit of a bashing with a stick of life on that. But please do so. But you know what I'm saying the invisible Christ. I know we carry his president we carry the word. I get all that. But we don't have the time in the in the in this season that we're in tonight to go. But you know what I'm saying? But actually the Scripture is is correct. No one is no one can see God and live. And we understand what Colossians says, Christ is the image of the invisible God. But then ascension, they came to actually we have not seen Christ physically. He is not in the room of us. But his presence is with us because He says I'll never leave you nor forsake you. And on Ascension Day, he said I will give you the counselor the comforter, and that is the power of the Holy Spirit. So we have the comforter, so we have father that we have the deity living within each and every one of us. So what I'm referring to, it's okay, when you got your family around you and people in your workspace and people you work with and you can you can physically Your eyes have got a physical pinpoint your eyes, I've got a pinball to put your focus on. And when you journey with people, you you learn to trust and you know what you can rely on, you know how you can talk and you know this and that. But to go by faith is completely different. See, when when we are talking about I trust you. And thank you for sharing that. And we talked about the physical person in front of us. That's because we see them we learn to understand their character, who they are. But to go by faith is completely different because that I'm gauging that person by my perception, my anticipation, my understanding my senses, my my natural way of life have a natural engagement between the physical person, but suddenly, the Scripture is telling me the just shall live by faith. So I've got to live by faith, oh, I've got to trust in this eternal God that I believe that spoke the world into being. But just because he spoke the world into being doesn't mean to say it's easy for me as a human being, as a pastor or a leader, Reverend whatever, to live by faith because it's very difficult to live by faith. I believe. If anyone says, oh, it's easy, it's easy. It's easy. I would disagree a bit to that because to live by faith, The just shall live by faith. The only way that we can live by faith is being completing the Word of God and the words refreshing us and restoring our son and, and drawing us and pulling us so the just shall live by faith. I can't just go by throwing the Pentecostal word aren't the just shall live by faith. My faith can only be strength from from the Word of God, my faith will only be quickened through the word of God. Because faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of God. So the safeguard is through the woods, so I've got to be in the Word. So I take one step I take 1111 Press on life i Lord, I'm trusting you by faith, Lord, I I pray, Lord, as I pray, and as I focus on you, Lord, I'm learning to live by faith, you know, many Pentecostal ministries, many Pentecostal movements will throw out across the pulpit and across the airwaves. Just live by faith, but first teach me to live by faith and then I'll get an understanding what you're saying. Teach me to trust in You see, I've read this out so easy and so quickly. Psalm 56 Verse three says, when I am afraid, I know what fear is. I feel fear. But do I feel do I feel faith in The same way. I feel fear, I feel the very presence of fear. I have anxious thoughts. I have anxious moments. But how can I equate How can I rationale? How can I bring this this faith? Well, I've got it I've got a walk by faith. Jesus says it's narrower the pathways narrow. And sometimes Lord, I will say it's so narrow, it's invisible. I actually can't see it loaded. It's as thin as a fish in a fishing line. And it's so thin, I can hardly walk the timeline, and the tightrope of face the Lord, I pray for any one of us that is learning to live by faith, I believe every one of us is learning on an hour by hour moment, 30 minutes by 30 minutes to walk by faith or walk by faith, to live by faith to trust him to lean in him, because we are living in a world is very visual very perceptive, very, I perceive, I see. And I analyze and I gauge everything by by hearing and through sight and from my senses. But then suddenly, Christ says, Come on, come on, follow me and to live by faith, The just shall live by faith. It's easy to say, from the pulpit, and I've done this 1000 times. God is telling us to live by faith. Just trust him. Well, what does that mean preacher? What does that mean? Teach a show me and teach me how I live by faith. Firstly, we start in the Word of God. Our Foundation has to be in the Holy Word of God. The just shall live by faith. Okay, but what do I do? How do I start this faith journey? I open up the Word of God. I start to read this word that I've heard about. I've got 66 books. And I say God, by faith, I believe that you are leading me to a scripture. Lord, as I open up this book, Lord, I pray by faith, you through revelation or knowledge will, will accelerate Lord and Quicken this word in my being, Lord, by faith. I'm believing that what I'm reading by faith, Lord, I'm trusting and I'm leaning into you, what does it mean to lean into Jesus to put your life or to rest or to physically lean into the word to? To rest in it? Put put everything you've got? Isn't it easy to say that? How many times have we left church and come in a church? Don't worry, brother and sister, I'll pray for you. You know, don't worry, brother and sister the Lord will provide. Don't worry, brother and sister just go by faith. Don't worry, just lean into Jesus, all this stuff. I've been shouting and being shouted at me but someone teach me how to, because that's what we need. Lord, we need to know how to how do I live by faith? How do I lean into Jesus? How do I be still know that your God so much to learn? And that's what lockdown has done to me is give me a different I won't say outlook, a different understanding what to and how to throw the word of God. So when the scripture says very clearly in verse three of Psalm 56, when I'm afraid, I put my trust in you. How how do I do this? God what this trust law this this trust, I I can't touch it. It's not tangible. Like the table it's not touchable like the physical me. It's not it's not I can't see this. It's invisible. This invisible trust this invisible faith, this invisible presence of God, but I know you're here. Lord, I know you're with me. I know that. I know that. I know that. I know. As we say in my No I know that I know that my Redeemer lives, but I can't articulate that trying to find the English language. I'm trying to find a way to present that to humanity is almost an impossibility for a human being to to find the correct dictation the correct verbalization the correct understanding? How do I tell someone? How do I guide and how do I say just live by faith? I think we need to start in order go on. Faith comes. Okay. The scripture says faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of God. So as I read God's word, it builds this this faith this invisible trust this invisible, unknown area of Christianity that how big is it? Yes, I understand what you're saying. As small as a mustard seed. Yeah, but we get that in picture form. And Christ always speaks in agricultural or he would speak in, in in fishing terminology as a fish in our agricultural terminology and then the Pharisees and the Sadducees he would always talk in that their picture formation. So he drew everything through words he as he presented he as he spoke that word he, he drew that word as he spoke that word and he drew a picture through the power of vocabulary. So we understand that faith is a salt small as a mustard seed. So we get an understanding how small that is. But as I read my face starts to build this, this invisible oak tree, this invisible substance, what it what is it, how I can't touch it, I can't, I can't feel it, I can't measure it. faith comes from hearing the message. And the message is heard through the word of God. So tonight as we break bread together, and then that oh, that also that other other language that's out there, just believe but what is belief, presenting it to each other, just believe, just read, just go by faith, just you know, it's when you look at the fundamental points of Christianity, you know, you've got just believe, just to go by faith. Just trust me, you know, just and that just and that back can be big stumbling blocks, but I believe for the power of revelation or knowledge. And that has been really bad being batted around in my innermost being the word revelation that God is revealing. I understand in the last days, it says in the book of Joel says in the book of Acts, in the last days, I'll pour out my spirit on all flesh, you know, and it reads on and it goes from there. But I just pray as we come to the table tonight that we learn to live by faith. So how do we sum this up? How do we how do we stretch this? I can't touch it. You know, I can touch my jacket. I can stretch out my hands I can? Is it touchable? Is it tangible? Where is where is this fake? Where does it sit? Well, it sits in my innermost being. So how do I find the I dig within myself? Excuse me, but to dig within myself? A bit of a strange terminology to dig deep. But how do I dig deep, because I physically can't put my hands inside of me. So everything is done through the heart stretch the stretch of the heart. It's all to do lip services, empty head knowledge is meaningless to a degree. So it's about having a heart after God. So you can talk to God without moving your lips and without your mind thinking, because there is a connector and first your heart connects. So this is all full of knowledge. And this is just just just reacting to that, or to this or to that. So the lips are irrelevant, really. Because it's about your heart condition. It's not about how good I can vocalize and how good I can verbalize and how good I can articulate and how good I can present. That is irrelevant because it's about our heart condition. So it's this area here. Within me, it's this innermost being, it's my heart. You know, I might be full of knowledge. But I have no love. I might have faith that can move mountains, but have no love. I'm just a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal, I can rattle the scriptures, I can shout the scriptures. I can dance to all the latest tunes and order the latest worship songs out there. But if I have not love, it is meaningless. Love is powerful. Love changes everything. So we're going to come to the table tonight. And I'm just going to pray that wherever you are, that we will just learn to live by faith. And that is something that we need to study here, especially for me presenting this to us tonight. How do I do this? Somebody tell me, there are many books there are many preachers and teachers. So we start off like this, Lord, I need to live by faith. I'm not quite sure how and how I'm going to do this in this skin that I live in, in this earth suit, in this physical body of mine. But Lord, I believe, Lord, and I'm learning to believe and I'm learning to trust, and I'm learning to walk by faith. The just shall live by faith. Trust in in His Word, reading this word, believing in that word is for you. Letting that scripture sit. You know, as God spoke to Moses, Moses spoke to Joshua Joshua had conversation, dialogue and conversation. And then God directly spoke to Joshua and said, Be strong and courageous. meditate on the word day and night, do not let this book of the Lord depart from your mouth, then you will be so everything starts in the good book. Everything starts in the Scripture. Everything starts from Genesis to Revelation. So that's why that Scripture is really important. And I should have got the reference before I started and I didn't, because I'm just a human being and I will fail you and I failed you that give you this reference where it says faith comes from hearing the message and the messages Word for the Word of God. So it's important to understand that my faith will grow. My faith will only grow through the word of God. I can read 1000 books in my lifetime written by authors of how to there are many ways and many people telling me how to in the area of authorship, but there is only one author. So I've got to be very careful that I don't get battered aside, you know? So how, how do I start this? What's the what is the, what is the foundational point for me, I read the Word of God. That's where my faith starts. To build. That's where I start to build this relationship this walk with, with Christ is in Christ in the word, because I understand that Christ is a living word, in the beginning was the Word and the Word was we've gotten the Word was God. So I understand in John, chapter one in the beginning, so I've got to be in the Word, to be in the written word to be in the rhema word in the spoken word. In the Word of God, I am allowing God that now, I said, saying that, you know, that could open up 1000 envelopes I'm allowing, I've got to be careful are presenting that. What I'm saying is I'm asking and I'm moving. And I'm saying, God, I want you, Lord, to reveal Yourself to me more and more, because Lord, I am stretched academically, Lord, I'm stretched knowledge, stretch through knowledge, I've stretched understanding. I'm tired, I've worked I've done this, I've done that a lot. I'm a bit weary. So that's the power of Revelation. That's the power that God reveals. So God will strengthen our faith. But where do I start? The basis of starting to get built and to be solid in the faith is to be in the word of faith to be in the Word of God, The just shall live by faith. What do I live by, I live by the Word. When I live by the Word, I'm living by faith, the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord. So when I live, and when I read, and when I sit, and I'd be still and I, I rest in this word, and I just trust this word. And it tells me the life manual, how to live and how to treat people and how to praise God, how to worship, how to read, is everything that I need. So as I start to read this word, and God cultivates my heart, and God turns over the stones, and God takes out the stones and, and as he sifts my heart, and you know, and having a heart after God, faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of God. So how do I get this message? If the preachers are not delivering it, if I'm not delivering it, if I'm not getting overcorrect? If if we're not hearing a word, what do I do? I hear it for myself in the Scripture. So faith comes from hearing a message, how do I hear it? Is it talking about sermonizing? Is it talking about an evangelist talking to me? No, it's talking about because when I read the Word, and I speak the word and my eyes engage in the word, the word is speaking to me, faith comes from hearing. So it's not so much that I might be speaking aloud, is when my eyes read, you know, we can read without making a murmur, or moving our lips, but we hear it in in our most being. So faith comes from hearing the message. And the message is heard through the word of God. So my faith will quick and my faith will build, my faith will grow. I don't need to move my lips I can read without making any sound, because it's my heart that is engaging in the Word of God. So I pray that wherever you are tonight, God will give more of that gift of faith, God will accelerate that faith God will press and to grow that faith into war that fight through the word for the living Word of God, there is water, and it's it's growing, and it's been nurtured. And it's been tendered, you know, and faith is such an enormous subject. It's an enormous skin to open. It's a massive envelope to peel back and to look in the envelope and see this word, this, this enormous study a lifetime of understanding what faith is how do I get faith, the gift of faith, faith is given as a gift? How do I What is it? Where is it? Where does it come from? Who is the gift, the who is the giver of this faith that I have? It opens up such a conversation. It opens up such a dialogue, it opens up sight. It opens up so much. Faith comes by hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of God. Faith is given. Faith is watered. Faith is Quicken through his word, because he is the living word. And as we break bread together tonight, I pray that wherever you are, you just seek the will of the Father is that there's an Another great line from from preachers and teachers. They'll just shout it across the pulpits. But what does it actually mean preacher? What does it mean teacher? What does it mean? What does it mean? Such an enormous subject, isn't it? When we start around pack and I believe that we've unpacked and we've looked at a lot through the podcast, and wherever you are tonight, I pray that God will strengthen you, God will guide you, God will lead you into new beginnings. We've looked at quite a few things we've just opened up, God has opened up the word just opened up the envelope of the Scripture. And I pray tonight, that wherever you sit across this earth, that you will be drawn, and God will draw you into His word, because that's where faith grows, the gift of faith is given and everything that goes along with with the quickening of this subject. I can't cover this in 1015 20 minutes, however long we've been here, just just just bound in His Word backwards and forwards forwards over the socials through His Holy Communion. But, but God has planted the seed, the seed of faith has been planted. And now it's time for us just to say, Lord, I want to dig the earth, oh, the Lord, I want to turn this overload on, I want to see what it means to live by faith. So as we break bread together, tonight, we are doing this by faith, we're doing this because you tell us to so I'm going by faith because your word has said, so I'm acting, and I'm doing faith and actions go together. So there's so much to look at. So Father, as we break bread, as we take this bread tonight, we thank you that your body was broken. And tonight Lord, I lay my life before you all my worries, or my fears, or my failings, or the stretch and life. And I say Dear God, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the power of repentance. I thank You, Lord, for the finished work of Calvary. I thank you for the work, Lord of Calvary, the cross of Calvary, the finish and the completion of Calvary, to that understanding to a believer such like me that Christ went to the cross of Calvary Lord and the cross The cross is empty. But Lord, as far as I'm concerned, the cross is always working for me. The cross is always reminded me the cross is always quickening me. The cross is always drawing me. So Lord, the cross what it means is still alive in me, Lord, and I thank You, Lord, that the cross of Calvary Lord, so Lord, I asked you that you'll help us to pick up our cross. Isn't that interesting? Again, another another line? How do I pick up my cross? What does that actually mean? So Lord, as I learned to walk by faith, as I learned to pick up the cross, as I learn to walk as a son, or a daughter of the living God, I pray, Lord, as I live by faith, and I turn and I, I tried to live by faith, and I learned to live and walk by the word of God, Lord, that you will teach me, you will show me But tonight, Lord, I go by faith. And I believe, I believed that this bread symbolizes the body of Christ. And as I break this bread together tonight with my brothers and sisters, online, I believe, I believe that your body was broken Jesus, for each and every one of us a Father, thank You for this. In Your name, of the son of the King of Glory, in Jesus name, Amen. Wherever you are, God is with you. The gift of faith has been given. The word has been given, everything has been given in the word salvation has been given. Faith has been given, the gifts have been given. So we have been given, we have given we have been given everything and so much it has been given it has been planted. It is within it is upon and it is around. And now I believe it's like an explorer, saying to Christ, Lord, help me to explore faith helped me to explore the gift of of the gifts you know that the fruits of the Spirit helped me to understand what it means to be given the gift of faith to be given the Word of God helped me to, to live by faith Lord helped me to understand what it means when you say, as often as you come together, Do this in remembrance of me. Because Lord I, I was brought up father and in the church where I thought that it was the church that pulled us together, Lord, but your Word tells me it's all about Jesus. It's all about Jesus. So Father, I pray tonight, that as we just sit in as we still as we reflect on the cross of Calvary, as we understand that these gifts that have been given the gifts Have you been handing over the gift of faith, the gift, Lord, the gift of understanding that the gift of hospitality, the gift of the word is we've been given all these gifts we've been given this stuff God helped me to understand what it is and how it is, and how I live by it and how I trust in it. And now I walk in it, because Lord, even Psalm 119 Your word is a lamp unto my feet, a life my path God, what does that mean? Show me what it means. Show me Lord, reveal your word to me as I walk by faith, as your as your word opens up, and it makes a light for my path. Show me Jesus. Show me the way. So Lord, as we come as we break bread together, as we just take this cup together, as we rest and as we be still together, Lord, I pray, Lord, that you will teach us your ways, because, Lord, we're tired Lord of religious ways. We're tired to church ways. We're tired of beating the drum of just the rhythm of just the normality of life, Lord, we want to be lifted. So Lord, all those I pray tonight that need to be lifted, lift them tonight, Lord, let your glory just sit upon them tonight. Let your presence be wrapped around them. And as we looked in Psalm 56, Father, we pray tonight, Lord, that we will learn to trust you. When I'm afraid, Lord, if there's anyone that is afraid tonight, as they break bread as they take this cup, as we learn to rest, to be still to walk by faith, Lord, I thank you, that perfect love drives out all fear. So tonight, Lord, I pray that this perfect love that your world talks about that we understand to a degree, Father, that we will feel this love of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, just welling within us that we find a place of rest. perfect love drives out all fear, washes and cleanses us, from the crown of our head to the soles of our feet, in the blood of Jesus. Amen. It's easy, isn't it, you know, for the evangelists, for the preachers and the teachers, and all of us that hold these different positions, the authority that we think that we have, it's easy to shout across the pulpit, we got to live by faith. We got to live by the Word of God. Just believe all these hashtags, all this stuff that's out there. But what we want is someone to say, teach. So what do we get? Christ is the teacher, His Word is yes and amen. He is the great high priest, He is the King of glory. So wherever you are tonight, I believe, I believe, from Genesis to Revelation, I believe in the word of God. God will be revealing his word to you. God will be revealing His scripture to you, God will guide you, God will lead you, you know, we understand as well, faith and actions go together. So there comes apart part of my life as a journey of my faith life where, where actions have faith, they work and they move together. So I pray tonight, wherever you are across this earth, that God will guide you, God will will just keep revealing His promises to you, that you will find peace, the gift of faith, the gift of salvation, you know, so no one can boast the you know, we only have 45 minutes on a Monday evening. And there is a lot you know, there is a lot that we try to drive out here. And I just pray and I know, with all my heart God will lead you to path of righteousness. Hold on, there's another there's another one isn't there that hold on to Jesus? What do you mean preacher? Teacher? What do you mean vicar? What do you mean pastor Hold on. I can hold on to the chair but show me how to hold on to Jesus. Everything is through his word. You know, we've hit that we've hit that drumbeat. And I pray that wherever you are, God will strength for you. That will reveal Himself to you. Just trust it. Never give up. Leave your shower say Jeff shall live by faith in Psalm 56 Will few scriptures up tonight so we thank you that wherever you are tonight. Break the word. Focus in the Word of God. The Word of God give you the freedom that we all know. It will give us peace. There's hope. There's the love. Drive the fear that it will bring calmness and storm that we're in feed us, strengthen us water and it will bring freedom love together though our lives.
