We're here for coffee and prayer. And wherever you are this morning, my God bless you and strengthen you whether you're on the school run, just coming back from the school run, whether you're on your way to university, college, go back home, you're working or retired. Whatever your stretch may be across this earth may God bless you whether you're, you're at your desk at this moment in time, just listening for the socials. Maybe you're at home just trying to unwind after the craziness of getting the children ready for school. Maybe you're just maybe you're just wherever that just may be. God bless you. Thank you so much for joining us across the earth this morning. And as we gather around the world for these 45 minutes for this broadcast. God bless you whether you're listening, and following us live at this moment, or your week, down the line. from Amazon music all the way through to Buzzsprout and Spotify. May God bless you today however you feel today, this is a good day because we are breathing we are alive. And God is with you whether you're up the mountain praising him whether you're midway, climbing the rock face of life, or whether you're at the base of the mountain crying and screaming, Lord wire the question is Why, Lord, why? I think that is on many of our lips and our hearts and our our thinking and our understanding at the moment. Why Lord, and we all know those great theologians out there those that are really sitting at the right hand of the Father will always come back and say, well, it is the will of the Lord will actually Lord help me Jesus, because sometimes I'm not quite sure what your will and your purposes because my mind is playing games with me, Lord, and I need strengthen in Lord. So I'm going to jump straight into the scripture this morning. And we are going to go straight away to the New Testament Mark chapter four. And it's just a tiny part of the scripture from verse 35. onwards is about Jesus and the storm. And it's coming from verse 40. Just one one area, I just want to look at this moment just to just to encourage myself and anyone else that wants to hear this this morning and anyone. And he said to the disciples, Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith? Lord, I've got faith this morning, that's for sure. But Lord, I still get a bit fear for Jesus if I'm honest. Lord, if I'm completely honest with you and honest with the world this morning, Lord, I sometimes still get stressed. With the circle of life, Lord, sometimes I still get a little bit worried with the things that are going on around the world, Lord, even though I know that I'm saved, and I'm blessed and highly favored and all that razzmatazz that goes along with your word, Lord, and that Lord, sometimes I get afraid, Lord, yes. And you're asking me the question this morning, Lord, why are you so afraid? When it's been for so long? Lord, I've been asking you the question. Why? So Lord, you're asking me this morning. I don't know why I'm afraid, Lord. Is it because I just a human being? That's just living on this earth, Lord, but how do I answer that one Lord through the Scripture, because Jesus said to His disciples, Why are you so afraid? I don't know actually, Lord, but this morning, Lord, in my humanity, I come before you and I say Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Lord, that I can have an open conversation with you Lord, and you do not judge a thank you Father that I can be completely real with you. Lord, I can shout I can dance Lord, I confirm the toys out me Christian pram, Lord, and for a right Rob wobbler with the Lord and you're still cover me in your love and the blood of Jesus. I can ask you all the questions why Lord, if buts Lord help me, Jesus, where are you today, Lord, but deep down in my innermost being annoying. I know that my Redeemer lives so Lord, I'm learning to live as a believer. I'm learning to live Lord as a human being as well Lord and realize both Florida law That's all on water. The two don't mix. The flesh in the Scripture Lord can't go together. One's got to give ya so Lord, I thank you that the flesh has given my Lord. But Lord, what a journey Lord I've been on in my life, Lord, and I thank you for that journey. I thank you for every breath. I thank you for every thought. I thank you for every action, every deed with that unbiblical or biblical, I thank you for my life. Because Lord, you're with me in my life, and I love you, Jesus. So, Lord, help me, guide me, strength for me. Every one of us this morning, that is saying, Why Lord, but then Lord, you say to the disciples, in verse 40, why? So you're asking me the question, Why are you afraid, Ben? I think, Lord, because my flash kicks in my mind, my brain over engineers thoughts and thinking, I anticipate a lot Jesus, I think too far ahead in the future. I plan on when the plan doesn't come into being. Fear drops in, because, Lord, I seem to do a lot like Frank Sinatra, my way. When actually, Lord, I want to do it your way I want to Lord keep knowing that will Lord and Lord that is a difficult thing for me to understand the will of the Father, because Lord, I come to the garden of Gethsemane this morning. And I think, and I understand when Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane when he said, not my will but your will be done. Lord, am I looking at the man Christ Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane? The man because he said, Not my will. So Lord that fascinates me, Lord, that that is intriguing. To see that even Jesus, even Jesus, yes, it was in the garden, in his humanity, and signed to His Father, if it is possible, can I swerve this one? If it is possible, so Lord, help me understand. Give me revelation or knowledge, Lord, what Jesus was thinking, and what is humanity was going through at that particular point? If it is possible, not my will. My Will Lord, what is Mine, mine mine, but Your will be done. He came back he came back in his sentence, he came back. I've got to lay myself down in a garden Lordan there's many times when we've been in the Garden of Gethsemane, and it's a great place to be whether I'm in the garden on the potter's wheel with the foot of the cross. Lord may be in the valley, Lord may be in the valley, a backhaul, or the nice places of stretching and learning because Lord in these places, of almost isolation, there is great learning. There is great character building spiritually, Lord, understanding who I am as a human being and who I am in in Christ as well or So Lord, whether we're in the garden whether we're pondering Lord, ye, Lord, ye Lord, if Lord. But you're asking me this morning, Jesus through Your Word, why are you so afraid? Maybe Lord, I've taken my eyes off of you a few times. I've looked at the government's I've looked at the world, I've looked at situations I've looked at myself. I've looked at me thoughts. I've heard my thoughts aloud in my head. But this morning, Lord, I want to say thank you. I want to say thank you, Lord, for salvation. I want to say thank you, Lord, that through the storm. So Lord, as these disciples went through the storm, he said, Why are you afraid? And he was talking to all of them. Interesting, he says, And he said to his disciples, he was speaking to every one of them that was in front of him. Why are you so afraid? And I love that. So he's speaking to the crowd is speaking to the individual. He hasn't depict any one particular at this point. And they actually come back to him a little bit further up the text if he was just to wander through that. And it says Jesus was in the stern sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, so he was being brought out asleep. The disciples so we see that in the here for the Scripture, there's more than one. It's great to be around people that are open and honest and saying, You know what, I'm frightened with you at the moment, then. I'm a little bit unsure. I've got a few questions of why. So there was a few disciples waking him and shaking him, Teacher, teacher, look what the scripture says. Don't you care? If we drown, he got up he rebuked the wind and he said to the waves, quiet, be still. Verse 39, then the wind died down, and it was completely calm. Let's just remind ourselves. God is bringing calmness to our hearts today. God is bringing calmness to this world. That is crazy and fast. There is calmness, there is a stillness in your innermost being amongst the wildness amongst the wind that is blowing all the way around. There is stillness in your innermost being, because Jesus is with us and with you in the storm of life. And as the storm and as the seasons, look at the what's been happening within the UK, the last few evenings, the last few nights, the electric storms we've been having, and the Bible speaks in the last days, the the elements, the weather structure will do stuff that we've never seen it do before hours of fun, their hours of lightning hour, hour after hour of rain of rain of rain, you know, and that's what we've got, in the moment, we've got hours of rain of rain, the seasons are changing. And we can see that for our perception of what we see. And we can see that and we pick that up in the in the spiritual place that we know that's going on. So the weather is moving, because the Scripture has said. So when we look at the text that we're in at this moment, Jesus is speaking to the to the world that we know creation, and creation is moving and acting on his word. And what we say now and the storms that are happening around the world, the fires, the floods, everything is only doing because of the word of God has been spoken. And the world the structure of Creation is doing what it says it will do in the end days. But Jesus is also bringing calm in the storm. And he's asking every one of us this morning, all those that are bold enough to go Do you know what I'm going to put my myself in verse 40. Why are you afraid? Jesus is saying, Why are you afraid, Ben? Don't be afraid I created this world. I love you beyond human understanding. I love you beyond your articulation. I love every one of you beyond. And I love this mark for because it talks about the disciples. It talks about a group it talks about a following it talks about more than one. Jesus speaks to them. They drag him out of bed. They shake him, don't you care? I love that. That they was bold enough to say to the Messiah. Don't you care if we drown? Don't you care? Jesus? I'm drowning in debt at the moment. I'm drowning in pressure. I'm drowning in universal credit issues. I'm drowning in social housing. I'm drowning in this marriage. I'm drowning in this relationship. I'm drowning in church. Don't you care if we drown? Are you at that stage? Crying out to Jesus this morning. I love this part as well. In the context of most of the churches in the UK, there are many people drowning inside themselves, but their lips are telling pastors, everything is great today, Pastor everything is great sister. Maybe we need to go in church and I'll be completely honest and go, I'm drowning. But I'm drowning, but he will rescue me. See, these disciples wasn't afraid to wake Jesus. These disciples wasn't fearful of going to him and pull me out of bed. He was on a cushion all tucked up with a 13.5 tog duvet. He was comfortable and happy in a onesie sleeping. And the disciples went to Jesus and said, Don't you care? They woke him up. They was physically waking and shaking him up. You know what it's like to wake someone up this asleep. It can take a while. They can wake up all groggy and angry and frustrated. He woke up. They woke Jesus up. Don't you care if we drown? Oh, Lord, I love you Jesus. I love the disciples as well. They are so open and they are so honest. And they are so real with Jesus. Look at the fisherman that morning when he said away from me Lord, I am a sin Forman. Father This morning I pray for my brothers and sisters in this house this morning that are working behind the scenes. I pray for all of us in this pod room. I pray for all of us that are captured this live stream service and everyone that has the David Beckham's to shout out. I'm afraid Jesus, I'm, I'm frightened, Lord. Don't you care about me, Jesus? Don't you care a lot. I got a storm breaking out around me. The government is changing, the government is switching and moving and blowing around like a loose wind. Lord, the Universal Credit ain't happening today. Lord, don't you care about me? Don't you care if I drown in this world? He loves us. We ain't gonna drown. We ain't gonna sink. But we go to the edge of life. We go to the edge. And sometimes we have to step off. And he keeps capturing me all the time, we will not hit the floor. But as we step off in faith, as we walk by faith, or church, anyone that's with us this morning. We love Jesus. We love Jesus. And I love being real with Jesus. So Lord this morning, I could be like one of them disciples this morning, Lord, I could quite easily say from my heart, don't you care, Lord, if I drown. The UK is a ship that is being swallowed up by the Gulf, the breadth of financial debt of issues around the world. The ship may sink and be destroyed. Because that's what happened to the boat. It says the BOCC sorry, the waves broke over the boat. The waves are breaking over the UK now. And it might feel like we could be drowning. We have no strong leadership. We are looking for help. Don't look to the storm. The waves are over the boat. The scripture says the waves broke over. So we're not talking about they're out on a little rowing boat. They are out in the middle. And the waves are so strong, that the waves are over the top and they are crashing down on the center of their vessel. The boat of the UK is being broken up by the waves of end times. It can never be repaired. And I'm not on a downer. I'm in the Word of God. But I know that my Redeemer lives and he will not let any believer drown. The vessel that we're on is in trouble. But the rock that we're standing on is our Redeemer. So you are redeemed you are blessed. You are chosen. You are a child of the living God and God loves you. And Jesus is asking me this question today. Why are you so afraid? I'm not quite sure, Lord. I don't know. But Lord, all I do know is that you love me today. And I'm here and I love Jesus Christ the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and with my brothers are two good brothers today are over the brother is away on mission. God bless every one of you today. We will not drown you. God is with you. He's with you while you're with your family. You might feel over over stretched with your family over stretched, stretched in work stretched in money you feel there's a drowning process. But you're not going to drown in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Glenn Walsh:

Yeah, Andy today is over in Romania. Do it. We're praying for him actually handing it he's an act of generosity or handing over a mission to another organization giving it to him praise kingdom of God. Yeah, fear. kind of stuck a bit in John 19. So this is grown food goes to the tomb, he looks in he sees he believes Peter goes in before him. The empty tomb. What do they do next? Is John believes what are the disciples do next? This is in John 20. Verse 10. Then the disciples went back to their homes. Tell us the greatest revelation in all history. What do they do? They go back to their home. Okay. And I'm then when Mary has Jesus appeared to her. This is just further down in verse 18. I've seen the Lord she says, and then she goes to tell the disciples everything that's happened. She goes to announce it. Then in John At 2019, on the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the destroy disciples were for fear of the Jews. This is where they were in fear with the Jews. Where were the Jews in fear of the moments? Yeah, fear is a double fear that double Jews are, oh, they're living under the yoke of the Romans in fear. And those the Christians in fear the Jews in favor the moments they wonder they went home, then what do they do? This is over to verse 21, Jesus is revealed himself showed himself to the to the disciples, and this is 21, two, Simon Peter Thomas Cook, the twin Nathaniel have trained in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, here we go, what you're going to do a you've seen there isn't Christ. I'm going fishing. Okay, they say to him, we will go with you. Let's go Acosta together, sometimes we just don't know what to do do it. Now, we get this revelation of Jesus, we, we've got the gospel burning in us, and we look at everything around us. And we say, I don't know, what would I do with this message? What do I do with this burden? I don't know what to do. Praise God. Then later on, in the sign chapter 21. After Jesus makes repeat of a million states it in verse 19, he just says to him, Follow me. What do we do? Follow me we do what we need to do, is have an encounter a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit, to be led by the Holy Spirit. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. It says in moments, we don't know what to do well, when you don't know what to do, be still and know. Amen. The church needs to be crying out, Lord God sent your holy spirit of fresh, Yes, Lord, we look at the world, we don't know what to say. We don't know how to say it. I've read yesterday about a teacher in Ireland who's gone to prison, who taught in a Christian school, because he refused to call a boy who now identifies as a girl. They, he said, that goes against my, my mindset, my system of beliefs. I cannot call this boy they do this. And where is that Christian man now is in prison. That's the world we live in. What do we do? Lord, we need your Holy Spirit. Help us fast Lord Jesus, you met them where they were at those disciples were locked in a room through fear where the germs, the Jews were in fear the moments, the disciples were locked behind doors, and you came, you stood among them. And you said, Peace be with you. The first thing we need to hear from you, is Peace be with you. Lord, then you said to Peter, follow me and your promise to all of us, Lord is you're with us always. Anyways, thank you, Jesus. You promised us hard times you said that in this life, you will have many hardships. But you also said that you would be with us always through them all. Thank you, Jesus. So Lord, we thank you for that. We thank you for that promise. And now we're still Lord, as you said to your disciples, white, white, until you receive the Holy Spirit. Amen. A when he came, need those fearful disciples burst out the door proclaiming the truth, amen. And over 3000 were added to him on that day. Lord, we need you afresh. We need to know your presence more, we need the leading of Your Holy Spirit more. Thank Lord the church has lost. We did it in our own strength and what a mess, further strengthened, Lord, you're calling on the church is victorious. Thank you, Father. When we do things in and through the power of the Holy Spirit, wow, the world is turned upside down. So we pray again, Come Holy Spirit, lead us, call us, deliver us from the pit lord, calm and glorify Jesus and we believe we believe that you're going to turn this nation upside down. We believe in a visitation from you. We believe father that you so love the world, this world that we live in this world that doesn't know it's left from its right hand, Lord, what they don't know. They don't know identity, but Jesus, you have compassion on the crowds. And for the youth so love this world. You've sent your one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him, we will not perish but have eternal life. Amen. Thank you, Lord God, Glory for Your name. Yes, Lord, in this generation. Thank you for and we pray for signs and wonders. We pray for the miracles to be restored to church. Thank you. For Jesus who said it's a sinful generation a sinful and perverse generation. Thank you that asks for signs and wonders. Well, Lord, can we be more perverse than this strength for Laszlo sent the Holy Spirit. Amen. glorify your name on the voice of your church and revive our speak right.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Thank you for the miracle. Amen. Thank you for the miracle. Spirit. Thank you, Lord. Thank You, Lord.

Donny Stockburn:

Yeah. Jesus. I just want to pray today for the faith. Amen be reunited, reignited, ignited, set on fire to where we ever hope in God, and not just be our hope. So, Lord, we need lifting out of that, that period, that time in our lives, Lord, when faith is stretched wide open to hoard Jay Z is in the churches at the moment. And I was feeling quite like that the other day and uncertain, and worthy in so many ways. As Glenn said, the mind is a loose lie and fears are big and a lot of cried out and said, Show me again, what your word says about me. Show me I need to hear from you. What your word says about me. Yes, fine. What does it say about me? What strength What's your opinion, Lord. And here's what God says of me. says that he loves me that he loves me so much that He sent His only Son to save me. And keep me and ensure that I get home to Him. Amen. Like the prodigal son. I am home. Thank God saying we are all those who believe well home yes from you saw my may father from fall off. Then you ran towards me and you threw your arms around me. And you kiss me. And you coddled me. I said, father, I've sinned, but you wasn't really listening. You will call in at your servant, bring a robe on and bringing him along. And in tears of joy. You grab my sandals and grab me some sandals and put them on my dusty sore feet. And then you you got older my end and put this ring on my finger. Thank you, Jesus, and you call me your son. You called me your son, Father God. And they're having John I. I think I've got it somewhere. John 835. I looked it up. No, I'll read it to you what it says. Whosoever commits a sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in house forever. But a son, a son abides there forever. That's what God answered me when I said, Tell me again who I am. Tell me again who I am what I am to us. God called me son. And I am I'm in your home. Everyone listening I'm added I come home. What was my condition? Her penniless as a political someones penniless, no robe, no sandals knowing no food, full of sin. But all I bought was myself and repentant heart and God did the rest. That's what you did for me. Father good. Your love overwhelms as far as God. Your love is overwhelming us now right now find God. Pray that you'll open our eyes, Father God. Yes. See that glorious love again, that we are your sons? A Lord and there is no contentions about our our salvation. You said a son is in the house forever. ever and ever and ever. We are there already. thank all those who are in Christ, your sons and daughters. And you're in the glory of God already. It cannot be undone. And Lord and your love is so quite all those things you did that ring on my finger at Sandals on my sore feet. That robe that royal overwhelmed my shoulders. And the tears in your eyes tells me Lord tells me how deep your love is. Our view is your love is in me, a Father God, I am your son. We are your son. We are your children. You will bless the children Father God. And we asked you in these days, Lord to revive us we ignite our faith in you Father God. And this morning, I looked out went out to feed the birds in the garden. And amazingly, after a few days line, the grass was green. I couldn't believe it. He was so going the other week. For weeks and weeks I've been looking at a bit of dead old stuff bit of grass is gone. It never never come back again. Sometimes our prayer life slider in that period of time I saw my face was stretch. I never ever thought I'd ever go in lawn again ever. But time in no time at all. The rains came and the life is back in that class again. And sometimes our prayer life slightly. We look and we see just deadness. We don't see any hope of our prayers being absurd. And what's God doing during those times? Thank you stretching our faith. Yes last winter and in our faith, we can't see it. But that's what's going on. God is always at work is our father. He's our father we are His children is blessed children. Nothing can change it. Now that good No, no, no fears, no troubles, nothing. It's set. It's done. Jesus said, It is finished. Done. Thank you. Jehovah loves his sons and daughters. Yes, Lord, and with their home and joy. We are home with a father reader back in his house, the sandals, one of our feet, the rings on our finger, the robes around our shoulders, and the glory of God, who we've called his sons. Lord, I just thank you for that truth. atossa. Pray now in Jesus name. They'll do all your children throughout this world, Lord, especially in any countries, so many are more persecuted than ours. But Lord, I just pray that everyone will be reignited with this truth, the truth that we are your sons and children or doors. We just thank you for in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

That stretch is an hour stretch, that stretch is with you. Yeah. So Lord, as we are at the table, strengthen us we pray or those that are not well today or those that are fearful. All those that have got a mindset like a washing machine, it's firing around spinning around 100 miles an hour. Glenn Walsh:

Amen. If we could turn to Psalm 103, for breaking bread. And I'll start from verse one. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me. bless His holy name. Bless the Lord. Oh, my soul won't forget not all His benefits. And a quick look at Isaiah 53. Surely he was born at grief and Canada so we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities upon him was the punishment that brought us police thank you and with his stripes, we are healed. Thanks to Psalm 103, bless the Lord and forgetting not all of his benefits. He who forgives all your iniquities, he's paid for them. Who heals all your diseases now? By his stripes we are healed. So whatever diseases, stomach issues, heart failure, amen. Prostrate problems Thank you Lord knees that have given up anxieties. Yeah,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

thank you Jesus

Glenn Walsh:

thoughts that dog you autistic traits, whatever they are, and when equities are weakness of character or weakness of stature, and as since he is paid for in full So Lord, we pray for a release of healing now, yes, Father, says he, Lord, that you heal us of all our diseases are man your name is above all names. I know two people who are bought back from the dead. Thank you. Actually, I know three people who have all paid from the dead. One of them pronounced brain dead with no help. In it after prayer the next day, the three year old girl was alive. Thank you, Jesus. We've seen the miracles. Release them again. We believe he'll Lord. Let there be many testimonies of your goodness. Who also redeems your life from the pit. As we break bread this morning. He started on paid it off, and by his broken body, we are healed Yes long as long

Donny Stockburn:

Thank you, Lord. Lord, that when you went to let cos hug, I remember reading that you, you asked the father, show you all the sins, all our sins are personal sins. And you saw them all you foresaw them all this is the blood, that foresaw all our sins, all our faults, all our troubles, all our battles, you first saw them all. And you said we are worth it? And is it a blood? Is it a blood that saw my troubles and battles and fights and lack of faith and, and all those things or that week daily go through? You saw them all fall to God before you went across. And you said, we are worth it? You loved us so much. God so loved the world. He gave us his only son. So Father, God, we just come to you now in Jesus name, knowing that you've seen all our sins. And this is the blood that covered them all. This is the blood that said we're worth it. This is the blood that stands in our defense, to all time this is a blood that makes us God's children. A Father God, we just thank you for now. In Jesus name, Lord, we come with grateful hearts, Lord, and we asked you to sit out of flame again, our faith on fire, who ignite that Lord. Lord, RT now, Lord, it will go out to absolutely everyone, especially those who you came for the sick and a boy can Amen. Thank you Jason. We asked in Jesus name, amen.

Glenn Walsh:

Donnie said earlier he was asking God how much God loved him. I've got to carry on with Psalm 103. So I finished on verse four, not quite actually says Who redeems your life and the pit who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy. We are crowned with his steadfast love, mercy. And how big is His mercy down to verse 10. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. Thank you. As high as the heavens are above the earth are bigger the heavens. These new telescopes, the more they look out, the further the universe goes. For as high as the heavens are above the earth. So great is His steadfast love towards those who fear him. Yes, Lord, that's our big God's love is for you. Can you imagine the universe? Impossible. God loves you bigger than that. As far as the east is from the west, so far to see remove our transgressions from us, as a father shows compassion to his children. So the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him, for He knows our frame. Oh man, he knows you.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

They know completely and yes, thank you.

Glenn Walsh:

We're shocked with ourselves God isn't. We're disappointed with ourselves, God is not. And he remembers that we are but dust. Thank you, Lord, for Your Mercy. Thank you, Lord, for Your grace. Thank You, Lord, that we were chosen by you, for you for your great joy and your great purpose before the creation of the earth. We were chosen in your to be holy and blameless in your site. Oh man.
