Yeah many jumping on. Yeah. Good evening fat kid. Yes. Good evening. Good evening. Good evening. I'll now repeat myself a few times till we get going but many favourite just jumping in online. Yeah, I can see you God bless you to God bless you to just mentioned a moment ago that we're going to be dropping straight in to Luke chapter 24. For those that want to follow through the Scriptures with me this evening, Luke 24, Chapter 24, from verse 30, onwards, round to about first 45, somewhere around about there a bit of a stretch of a read this evening, but thank you so much for joining us, whatever your timezone is across the planet that we live on at this moment in time. 734 within the UK now, as I said, at the very beginning, there are lots of things happening within the UK within the structure within the monarchy, within the government within the system within just life itself. You know, we've seen so much happening over the last eight days, seven, eight days, whatever, whatever it has been now roughly the nine days including first prime minister, Boris Johnson coming out, and then everything happened from there on in. There's a lot of things that is happening across the UK this evening, without going outside looking across the world, there's enough for us just I'm trying, I don't think we'll ever understand what's happening just within the framework of the UK, but we're going to turn to the gospel. If you're with me tonight, please turn for this broadcast. Luke chapter 24. Luke 24, I can see people jumping online. Yes, good evening, across the other side of the planet. And I'm not talking to aliens. I'm speaking to anyone that is or those that are on the other side of the Earth at this moment in time. But let's just gather around the Scripture. Unusual times, very unusual times, darkness is approaching, you know, darkness is just suddenly dropped in, across the studio windows as I look over the top of the camera, and I see what's happening, you know, suddenly all of a, all of a sudden, isn't it interesting how the seasons change where it changes so quick, we've gone from such really warm such hot such a long, warm summer days, you know, to the atmosphere is very warm, still a bit uncomfortable. But I got this pressed on my heart this evening. And the title for anyone that wants just to make a few notes this evening. And anyone wants to just put some point of reference to this. And the title is coming from verse 37 of Luke chapter 24. Jesus says, Why are you troubled? That is the question. Why are you troubled? This is a really deep text. When you when you when you start to read it, we go it's just the mass road, the two on the mass Road, then it goes on a little bit further after that. They get out they go back to Jerusalem will will soon pick up in a few moments. I'm just waiting a moment. Yeah. Good evening. I'll see you there. Thank you so much for joining us. Yeah, whether you're capturing this on the broadcast now, or back, regarding the podcast later a week down the line, good evening, or good afternoon, or good morning, wherever you are. And as we always say you can find us on Buzzsprout, Spotify, I Heart Radio and so many other platforms, as this broadcast goes out live at this moment, and then also it goes out a week later on Amazon music and so many others that are filtered from there. pushed out from the right. Okay, let's get straight into the reading verse 30. I'm going to start in verse 30. If you come with me to verse 30. And as I said the title of the series, this evening's bit of an understanding of Scripture comes from verse 38. Why are you troubled? Why are you troubled? Now, this is a really interesting text. This is about Christ, revealing and presenting himself to his disciples on the mass road. So we're on the back end of the Mayas road story. So from verse 13 onwards, it talks about when Christ appeared to the to on the amass row, but let's go a little bit further. And let's pick it up in verse 30. It says, when he was at the table with them, they sat down and they took bread together. And when he broke it, he gave it to them, and their eyes were opened. There's a few areas I just want us to look at. It's about Christ opening up our eyes open up our heart, and also the scripture says that he he opened up the Scripture, I feel that as we are living in very troubled times, sometimes the focus the thinking, the understanding the computing, even getting to church, even trying to read the Bible, even trying to pray even trying to find some pattern of what we call a Christian formula for studying the Word of God. You know, some people are able and they are really solid able to go out early in the morning to pray, to read to study and do all that sort of things. But when you got large families or when you got busy work life and all that sort of stuff, let's be honest life sometimes. So very often can crowd around and crowd over the study the Word of God, prayer time, you know, we might jump in the car, rushing the kids to school, doing getting to work doing this doing that. And suddenly, it's almost like we give Jesus the back end of the day. Well, I just want to let you know tonight, please never worry about that. Because thank God that our salvation doesn't depend on our study time doesn't depend on out how, and when we pray and all that all that stuff that goes along with it. And that's very important. And let me make that very clear. That's really important as believers that we studied that we pray, we take time out, we meditate on the word we sit, we be still, that's really, really important. But what I'm trying to get to tonight at this moment is what's happening across this nation without looking outside the four walls of the UK when we just look inside we got the depart department of departure sorry, of Boris, then the second prime minister comes in and then at that point, a few days, a few hours, literally a few hours after that. Queen Elizabeth the second is called home to Glory, the King comes straight in. So within a few things, there is so much going on and and what can happen. The stress and the worry of living and life and the pressures around us can make us fearful can make us doubtful. So storms come in precious hit the house, financial issues, workplace issues, you know, mental health issues, worries, doubts, fears. And what we are finding is in these texts that we are in at this moment, I really believe God is revealing through His scripture because he does that through revelation or knowledge. And that we can see this as we are looking at this moment because the scripture says that he says to them in verse 36, very important, Peace be with you. That's why we got that screen on tonight. Peace be with you. If you are troubled if you are feeling guilty. If you are feeling that you are being pressured in any way, shape and form in your life, I would try to find some way of of relaxing in Christ, it's so easy to say that I could probably be the world's worst for worrying for a busyness the diary is absolutely jam, Jam Jam jammed all the way through trying to get through Minister ministry, this work that we're working here working there doing this trying to balance just trying to balance life. And if we could use that word at the moment balance, I don't think that we can balance it. I think that that is a wrong terminology that I have used, maybe we have used, trying to get a correct balance. We can't balance Christ, Christ should not be balanced in my life. It says in the beginning, it should be at the beginning. It should be there Christ should be there. And he is there. He says He will never leave us nor forsake us. But when we look at the concept of the mind at this moment in time, we are looking at the mind, the body, the soul, the fears, the doubts, the trepidation, now very interested. Very interestingly. So there's two words that pop up in this scripture, and I've stopped reading. And I want to just mention these two words on one of the words is startled, and one of the word is frightened. Now he uses these two together. Now I'm going to read this, I'm going to I'm going to read it through to verse 45. And then we'll we'll start to maybe unpack a bit more. But are you troubled? are you startled? Are you frightened by the events that are happening around you? I would put it to this, like this to your heart tonight. Peace be with you, as the screen says, as the scripture says, I believe Christ is with us in these troubled waters at this moment, verse 30, of Luke chapter 24. And it says, when he sat with them at the table, they broke bread, and they gave thanks, broke it and began to give this to them. Their eyes were opened, and they recognised him. And he disappeared from this side. And then they said to each other, why was our heart burning within within us when we was talking to him on the road, and he opened a Scriptures to us. Then it says in verse 33, left to forgive me, I've left me glasses, and I've done away I've left the glasses. Come on, come on verse 33. And it says, Then they got up, and they'll return that wants to Jerusalem. And they found that the other 11, and those that was with them, they assembled together and saying, this is true, the Lord has risen, and he has appeared to Simon, when they told the two what had happened on the way and how Jesus recognised and was recognised to them, by him after they broke bread. While they were still talking about this. Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, Peace be with you. And I just want to emphasise that now, Peace be with you in your circumstances. Now, let's see what happens in verse 37. And it says, And they were startled, and they were frightened, thinking that they saw a ghost he said to them, Why are you trapped? Hold, and why do you have doubts rising in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I touch me and see, does a ghost have flesh and bone as I have? And he goes on in verse 14. And he said to them, he showed them his hands and his feet. And while they were still there, they did not believe because they was overjoyed. And they was over amazed. He asked them, Do you have anything to eat? So they gave him a piece of boiled fish. And he took it and he ate that in front of them and within their presence. And he said to them, This is what I told you, while I was with you, everything must be fulfilled, as it is written through the Scripture of the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms, verse 45, we're going to hold it in verse 45. And then it says, Then he opened their minds, so they could understand that the scripture, you know, when pressure and fear and doubt and the stress of life, and cultural pressure, and relational ship pressures, children's issues, schools, universities, worries, doubts, universal credit issues, housing issues, mortgage problems, life, just the circle of life, when fear and worry creeps into a human beings feelings. And I will say feelings, because fear and feelings go together. And the scripture talks about that as a human emotion. And when we talk about spiritual we are talking about from God. So there is a breakdown between the mind the body, the soul, feelings, and the power of God in the spiritual layer. So there is a lot for us to grasp within the UK at this moment. If if you are worried in any way, shape and form, about your life, about your situations, about your children, about your marriage, about your life, about whether you're even whether you're going through a divorce, whether you're getting married, whether you're looking for a new job, let's just look at all the things that happen to the general household. And especially in living in the last days, there is everything. All we could say almost 95% of trouble is coming to many front doors at this moment in time. So what I find fascinating and what I believe God is opening my heart to share tonight, and for me to find peace in is when trouble hits the house, when trouble hits the workplace, when trouble hits relationships, when trouble hits your mind and your thinking. And you get startled very interesting very powerfully. It says the scripture says that they were startled and frightened. Now we can get a bit of a glimmer of what the word startle means. All of a sudden there was an extreme presence of fear, they was alarmed, they were shaken. And it says that they were so overjoyed that they still couldn't believe. Now, these guys this this area of culture of life that they was gathering together, the two that weren't on the mass road have their hearts, their minds, every area of their life, the Scripture was opened up to them, their hearts was opened up, their mind was opened up and they was able to understand the word of God. Now, I find this very comforting to know that when I'm living just general life, and I am worried and I'm fearful when I'm stretched, and I'm looking at the clock and trying to gauge things and trying to balance things and trying to work things out and trying to grab a bit of time from air and pull it over there and take a bit of time from this at work at home, in life, in church behind pulpits at the pulpit, wherever we live our life and whatever the presses across this earth, there is there is without any shadow of any doubt, fear and worry and doubt will hit a believer, we are seeing very quickly in a quick succession of Scripture bolted on very quick together, that they was fearful that they was almost blind to what was going on. They was doubtful they was fearful. Now these are the ones that was with the physical Christ that had seen the Messiah go to the cross of Calvary, then they understand that he's alive and he starts to reveal himself to over 500 of the audience of people dotted here around the villages, Jerusalem. Suddenly we have the two on the amass road. If you go back to that scripture, he is walking with the two on the Mayas road, but they was kept from recognising Christ. They was chatting they said, Are you a stranger? I'm paraphrasing so you'll have to read it for yourself. He they said Are you a stranger to you know what's going on the events that are going on? Within the UK there are serious events going on. There are physical events before our eyes. The Mauna Kea the guy Have a month work education every week, I don't know about you, you brothers and sisters and whoever you are on the other side of the lens tonight, I can almost sense that there has been a tear in within the UK, like a tear in an a twisting lacquer. Like I said the other day like a like a crack like a, a cracking experience has gone on like a sudden a jolt, a sudden change, almost as the scripture is presenting itself to after night has been a startle moment where suddenly out of nowhere, all these events have come before our very eyes. So we got a physical act action happening. So they had a very physical action happening before their natural ability before their eyes before their ears. They were seeing it. We are seeing it across a news we're hearing across the news. Now not just talking about a Queen Elizabeth but the other events, go back to Brexit, go back from Brexit, go to COVID go to the stretching of finances go to the Universal Credit issue. Go to the now we're at the changing of the guard. I don't know how that's just been dropped in my spirit, the last few evenings but that has really just been pressed on me the changing of the physical and within the physical that runs along with the physical there is a a heavier spiritual shift in there is almost a change in a presentation that there is something very unusual in the air that we breathe in the areas of life, we are seeing a physical change that is very distracting. The physical change can distract us from what is happening in our lives. The physical can almost an it does affect our mental ability to cope, to think when you've got such severe changes happening we have almost sailed along for so long, when a monarchy is just sailed along. There's been no real changes within the monarchy and within government, then all of a sudden there's big shifts happening. So we have the physical change. And with the physical change, we have the spiritual change as well. And the two are very powerful and very awkward for the human being to grasp. And we see that for the scriptures and what I pray that God will reveal to you and to me tonight, that change is very difficult to grasp. As a human being. We have drifted and we have just bounced along in our culture, in our workspace, in relationships in home, in every area of life ministry children. Now, many parents are seeing a big change in our home due to their children obviously getting older, the summers gone. The summer has been good, they've been enjoying days out, everything's okay then suddenly they are seen their little babies, their little soldiers, their little warriors suddenly going up again into school education, education into college, college university. So there is big change year upon year within the children within the home setting within life, retirement, the financial stretch the food crisis, when you look at what's hit hits, in that there is a score over the UK the score we looked at the other day, a very fierce storm suddenly that is broken out of nowhere the sun's been out we've been signing along monarchy has been alright when I say okay, I mean what we've been looking at in the physical government has stayed stayed pretty solid as in the leadership, what we see when I talked about solid in what we are looking at in visual in the visual look in so as we gaze in number 10 As we gaze in Parliament, as we gaze in monarchy as we gaze in life, there hasn't really been a leadership change for quite a while but all of a sudden, we can cope with one leader changing. We can cope with that. But when suddenly get 1234 We've had four major shifts within the UK over the last seven, eight days. It affects the human being. Now we understand that there are certain ministries, certain churches, always pressing the drum, everything is fine. Revival is at the door. Praise God hallelujah. We are singing Kumbaya, we are sitting around a campfire playing the guitar. Hallelujah, Jesus, everything is fine. Well, let me put it like this. The campfire has been blown out. We are not singing Kumbaya. There is a lot of fear. There is a lot of doubt there is a lot of worry. There is a lot of trepidation. And I believe that there are believers that can quite honestly say I put myself in this scripture in verse 37 of Luke chapter 24. They were startled and frightened by the events that was happening now what we got to remember, we have to look at the system that was coming against Jesus. The system was fierce. It was loud, it was noisy. Those leadership change Christ they want to Christ There was in hiding, everything was happening. That was very severe that was happening now, what's happening to these at this particular point, there was a change in leadership, there was a change in the system. But when we look at this, these are believers that have walked with Christ seeing Christ. They have seen him in the physical, but then they seem go to the cross of Calvary, then they understand that he's taken off the cross and put in the term the Borah term, then they start hearing stories, stories. He's not in the term, someone now as the human mind will think, and as believers will think, and I would have thought that someone has taken his body, he's been stolen, something has happened, because that's what they say. Squat. Mary says, Where have you placed him? Where have you taken him? What have you done with Jesus? Where is he? And she thought that she was speaking to the garden, that gardener? Where is Jesus? Isn't it interesting that the women in the Scripture, the men in the Scripture, had doubt upon doubt, upon fear upon fear, worry, pressure, you would almost think that if the church was seeing this, the church what we know today will be absolutely shouting and praising God, hallelujah. Jesus is risen. But I love these characters, these real characters, these real authentic characters in the Word of God, they are honest, even when Mary speaks to Christ, who she thinks is the gardener. Where have you laid him? Isn't that interesting that the scriptures and the disciples and the women that were called, in all these events, the two on the Mayas Road, Christ kept them from recognising him. So there is a time when Christ will walk with us very closely, but almost keep himself hidden to a degree. They was walking, they broke bread with him. And it wasn't until they broke bread and he broke bread with them. It says that their hearts were open, their minds came in and the scriptures were revealed. So when worry when doubt, the scriptures was walking with the two on the amassment, road, Genesis to Revelation that we have now and I know what you're saying the theologians on the other side of the lens listening at that particular point, it was only the the Old Testament because the New Testament wasn't completely written at that point, even though when you look at Christ, he's Genesis to Revelation, but they only had the Torah, the law, they only had the Psalms, they only had the old at that point, as in written that scripture, but now we have the complete book. Yes, Lord, hallelujah, Jesus. So you can imagine the feelings you can imagine the upset, you can imagine the stress, you can worry, imagine about the worry. So here we have the physical Christ, walking with them, revealing Himself to them, having to eat bread with them to prove this is me very interesting. He doesn't talk about blood. He says, Look, this is flesh and bone, flesh and bone. Now, is there any believer tonight, I'm going to put myself right out across this lens tonight and say, I get startled. And I get frightened by certain events that happen around me. Yes, I have faith. Yes, I do believe. But yes, I am a human being, I am a son of the living God, I am a man and I am a human. So with the human side of me with the attributes with the idiosyncrasies with the normal mindset with the thinking, because the scripture says that he opened their minds, he opened their heart, then their minds were opened. So the mind can only go so far. And I would present it like this. When fear comes into a body, when adrenaline when the fight and flight time comes in. I would I would say to many of us, quite often the scriptures can be quite quite far from us, because the natural body is going into a fight and flight mode. I am trying to get through this in my own capability and my own reasoning, and my own understanding. Now I believe this is what was happening to these human beings that were called disciples that were blessed and highly favoured, wonderfully and fearfully made. They were called by Jesus as individuals he called them he called them in and with their very distinctive characteristics. He has called you with your very distinct and very unusual characteristics because we are all very different characters to one another. We may have a few threads that run close together but we are very unique. We are very individually called he has called was not by corporate Colin, he has called us by individual calling, he called them by name. He called you by name, he knows that the number of the hairs on your head, He knows your entire body, he knows you're a complete thinking, and He knows our mindset and He knows our character, we are starting to see the human characters operating in their human understanding, in the logic in the thinking in the natural process in of life. Because if we was to look at this in a very different way, and we was to look at this as the church would look at this now, we are super, super human beings, filled with the power of God, we are absolutely so strong spiritually, nothing will shake us well that is a lie. That is a complete lie out of the gates of hell. If you truly are a believer in Christ Jesus, and you walk with the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, there will be days there will be moments when fight and flight come in. There will be moments in a human's life, even though we are believers, when something happens, and almost the scriptures disappear from our thinking, and that from our understanding. We have a few places in this scripture that we are looking at, where Christ opened up the word to them. Christ opens up the word to us Christ opens our heart. Christ opens our mind because the Bible tells us and in verse 37, it says they were startled, and not only startled, but they was frightened, you would almost think that startled and frightened is the same expression or the same terminology to explain the same. It isn't frightened here has been taken in a very different way. So just park the word frightened for a moment, even if you look at the word startled, I am startled out of nowhere, suddenly, my body is alarmed I am I have dropped into an alarming position. I have dropped into a fight and flight mode, not because I'm fighting my way through the crowd of life, but fear has come upon me my chemical reaction through my cognitive processing, and the word fear through panic through doubt, through trepidation. I love this scripture tonight that we are in because it is showing me the human side, the humanity side of the of the people of the audience that Christ cold. But the church the day will tell you that you can cope with anything, you can name it and claim it. And if you got fear, you're not saved. And you're not this and you're not that. Well look at the scriptures that we've been in for a few weeks, we have studied we have looked at the characters we have looked even at Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. The scripture says that Jesus, the living word, the Messiah, was sweating droplets of blood. Science tells us in the extremities of stress and being startled and being feared, in a position of I can't cope with this life, a human being can sweat droplets of blood. So in the garden, the Scriptures tell us that Jesus said to the Father in heaven, if it is possible, please take this cup from me, but not my will, Your will be done. So we have two different understandings, two different viewpoints, two different settings, I believe, correct me and show me through the Scripture. If I've got this wrong, please do so. Because I would love to know how my thinking and my belief system is presenting this to you tonight and how I understand this. I believe that when I look at Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, I see him as the man Christ Jesus. I understand through through scripture, I understand very clearly through deep theological Christ ology and studying Christ, that what Christ says about him and the Holy Spirit, and the father and the separation and not separation, I clearly understand who Christ is and what Christ represents. But I believe that I see a snapshot, I see a snapshot as the scripture says, the man Christ Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, because if I look at him, as the scripture says, the man Christ Jesus, if I look at the man, the human, the human will sweat the human will fear the human will doubt the human will ask if it is possible. And if you are a human being, you will go into extreme stress at some point where your body will overload. You will sweat you will get cold you will have night tremors. You will have fearful moments you will be clammy, you will be hot. You will literally sweat in fear when fear comes into a human being. suddenly everything changed your heartbeat, your blood pressure A everything within your body changes your thinking, your mind, your, everything changes. Now, it's really interesting that when a character a character changes when fear comes in, people recognise us and understand us who we are and the character they see, most of the time is the true us. But when flight and fight and all the fighting elements come in, to live in the flight, and the flight mode and the and the chemical reaction within the cognitive processing of the mind, the fear, the panic attack, you know, when you're when you have to panic moments when the 1000 when when your body is been over ridden with fear, and all you want to do is run I can remember times in my life, when I was in my house at home, and I had a panic attack, and it hit me like an electric shock. I literally was jolted in my chair, I stood up in absolute fear, and I had to get out the house. And I had to run I physically ran I had I just left the door open, I just literally ran, I cannot tell you and begin to explain. But anyone that has had the depths the deep, dark thoughts, and when fear comes in, it takes over the human being. And it makes us do let me say very clearly and very loud, crazy things. It makes the human body react different. And it puts us in a flight of almost survival mode. So when we were looking at the scriptures here, I believe what they were seeing, they could not understand what had happened to Christ, because of the brutality through the cross of Calvary. And the crucifixion. Suddenly they see him and they hear him say, It is finished. So their physical them understood, it is finished, it's gone. He's gone. He is dead, three days and more, and he is in that tomb. But then on the third day, they hear a Rumble in the Jungle of conversation in the church grapevine they hear a conversation. He is not there. Mary says to Jesus who she thinks is a gardener. Where have you placed him, the angelic voices from the angels of heaven, said Once seated at the head Once seated where he laid at the foot the feet of Christ, he is not here. He has risen Hang on. My natural Ben, see him die on the cross. My natural band heard the screams and see the vile crucifixion that he went through. So my physical, watched him die on the cross Calvary, I heard him say it is finished, I see him being taken off the cross. I knew that Jesus was dead. So my physical me was going into a point of deep bereavement. If you are in bereavement and bereavement is a very powerful, I wouldn't even put it a as a as the word feeling. bereavement takes over your mental health takes over your concept takes over your thinking can change your character, the depths of bereavement can literally tear you out from the inside and rip you to pieces. So there was many in this situation, looking at the Cross seen his life taken, or they say they see him taken but Jesus was in full charge of his own mortality. His breath is understanding his thinking, because he said it is finished. And with that he bowed his head. We only grasp this because we are two and a half 2000 years or more. On the other side of history. They was watching history being made. When you watch history being made, like we are watching history being made through the queen, the King, the government's the systems of life, we are experiencing a startling effect to the human body, a fearful feed into the human body. Some won't even be bothered by what's happening in the monarchy, some will be bothered by other errors. So each and every one of us are affected by certain events around the world at this moment in time. Some will worry more about the gas crisis and the fear of the money hitting the home more than they will look at the monarchy. Some will look at the monarchy more than they will look at the the energy crisis. We all look at different eras of events around the world and we all value and we We all equate them. And we all measure them very differently. And we are then become boxed or segregated in groups, whether we're in that that area there or this area there. But whatever way that we look at certain events, whatever way that we look at that event, however, however we are deal with the event that is unfolding, we all experience being startled and being fearful, and being frightened, but in their moments, what happens to the human being, it is almost impossible for the human mind in a startling moment in a fearful time to actually grasp the supernatural power of the Word of God. Because when you look in times of trouble in the disciples life, the fear accelerated and took over their understanding, even Christ is standing before them. He sees the two on the Mayas road, they go into Jerusalem, they talk with the others. And then Jesus appears to the two as well. Imagine what they must have thought, hang on a moment, he disappeared, suddenly, he's back with us what in what in the candles of living what in? The world is going on here? He disappeared. He's revealed himself again. I'm startled. I'm frightened, conversation, and stories. And you can imagine you we all know how a story get stretched within the church. suddenly, something happens. And by the time it gets 10 people down the line of the church grapevine. Its enormous. It has exploded. So you can imagine what is happening now the stories are getting bigger, or getting more wild or getting more crazy, or getting stretched beyond human understanding. So what we are experiencing in Luke chapter 24, and the text that we are in the human beings, almost thinking to themselves, am I having a physical breakdown here, I see Christ on the cross. Suddenly, Christ died, suddenly his body's been taken. He was in the tomb for three days. He was in that place, suddenly his body's gone. Where is he? Someone I heard a story that two angels were sitting in the tomb. And the two angels said he's not here he has risen. So the ones that see it would be able to grasp it to a to a degree. But then suddenly, as they relate, relay that story back, the ones on the back end of the story, are getting the getting the story just through through this the quickness of the way the story spreads through vocal spread. So suddenly, they may have said, What do you think about that? Suddenly, they're saying that he's not there, he is risen. And not only that, there was two angels about so the human being, the human being, believe it or believe it not? Does fear does worry, does get stressed, does doubt. So when we look at the scripture here, this gives me complete comfort. It says in verse 35, we're coming to a close very, very soon, it says Then he opened their minds so that they could understand the Scripture, they was not able to understand the Scripture, I believe this is the reason why they could not understand the Scripture, because the events that were surrounding them, the situations that was pressing them, was too great for the human mind, the human mind, can only cope with so much. Once it gets to a certain level of trying to cope, the coping mechanism switches to fight and flight when you are or when I am in a fight and flight let me put it like this, it might be brutal. Christ is probably not in our thinking and in our mindset, because the buddy has gone into a survival mode, the human body will always try to look after itself. So although we are spiritual, although that greater is He that is me than he that is in the world, I will have moments in my walk with Christ on the Emmaus road at the entrance of the tomb, where have you put Jesus and Jesus is in front of me. And then I am in another conversation. Have you heard about the stories? Then suddenly, He reveals Himself to me on the Mayas road. He breaks bread, we take bread, I see him and then he has gone out of nowhere. I go back. I rush back to Jerusalem. I'm in Jerusalem. I'm having a good old chimp chinwag over a kebab over a McDonald's. Yeah. Where's he gone? What's going on? Well, have you heard the story to see what's going on? Suddenly he steps into their position into their situation. He's back with them, but they don't recognise him. Even G is a step straight back into their life. What is going on? It says there verse 38, my glasses my glasses, don't say that my glasses sad, quite holy actually didn't it my glasses, my glasses first 36 of Luke chapter 24. We're going to get out of here. It says in verse 36, Luke chapter 24, while they were still talking about this, Jesus stood among them. And he said to them, Peace be with you. They were startled and frightened, thinking that they saw a ghost. So their thinking, their mindset, their processing, it doesn't talk about their spiritual walk, it talks about their human side, their thinking, their mindset, I've seen a ghost. And he said to them, Why are you troubled, even when Jesus was amongst them, even though they see all the events unfolding in their life, even when Christ was the on the unmasked Road, even when Jesus was being presented to them by himself, even when the Living Word was speaking directly into their lives, they still operated as human beings, confusion, stress struggle, being startled or being frightened. And he says, Why are you troubled? And why does doubts rise in your minds? I love that Jesus sees them in their fearful position. But what does he do in a quick closing on this? What does Jesus do? He shows them his physical attributes, he shows them, because he had to present himself to them. As let's say, we understand what we're looking at, I gotta be careful at the end of this, this scripture to be careful are presenting this, he revealed his body to them, flesh and bone, but not blood. He said, Look, touch it, see it is if he was trying to speak to them, at their level. Jesus speaks to us in our way in our understanding, at our level, because when the events around us, governments monarchy, systems, education, children going up against a school, children leaving home, marriage breakdowns, marriages, this relationships, home troubles, workplace issues, Jesus meets us, wherever we are, He reveals Himself to us, and he opens the word up. So we need to make sure that we realise that we are human beings, pinch yourself, you have skin, you do hurt, we do feel pain, but we are blessed and highly favoured, we have a mind, we have a process we, we are brought up in a very scientific age, a very mathematical age, a very age of logic, and whatever is before me, is only happening now. So whatever I have happening now can only be so that's humanism, that is a very Darwinistic a way of looking at life. So what I have in front of me can only be in this world. So there is a big cut off to the spiritual grasp of what is beyond the fabric of a human being I presented to you tonight, I would I would love it. If all of us would look at the Scripture again, in our own way, and look at them as human beings. They were startled, they was frightened. Why do you doubt he had to present himself to them very powerfully, and very physically but also, he was having a conversation with them. He was meeting them in their fear, in their trepidation in their worry, in their doubt. Christ was meeting the human. He was meeting them in their humanity. What was happening in their humanity, fear, doubt, worry, mindsets were messed up, thoughts were thrown out, scared, fearful. What is missing there? There was no revival. So he was in a complete opposite posture. complete opposite to what revival means. So Jesus meets us when our thinking don't line up with scripture. When we can't think of Scripture when we can't bring the scripture in. When we can't pray, when we're struggling. Have you ever gone through a day and actually gone? Jesus? I didn't think about you today. The pastor, the pastor say that it the pastor say that he actually got through a bit of a journey of life and actually went, Jesus, I forgot to talk to you today. Oh, Does that really happen? Or are we always in a position of floating on a holy cloud, praising him and singing him all day long, and floating over the troubles and flowing in and out of the Throne Room of grace? Hello, Jesus. How are you today? Isn't it wonderful? Oh, Lord, I thank you for this day. Scrub that out. God help me. That's the only time I can think of him sometimes. God help me what is going on in the name of Jesus? I can't think I can't pray. I can't operate. Then I have the questions. Why? If barbed wire me what's going on? Please, Jesus help me Lord. I love the scripture that we've been in tonight. God bless every one of you. And wherever you are, I just pray that we will realise that we are sons and daughters of the Most High. But as we recognise that as well, that I am a human being. I'll pinch myself. That hurts my heart, I have pain. I experienced fear. I experienced doubt. And the Jesus said, What's up with your minds? You still doubt in look, it's me. Hello, it's Jesus. Wherever you are tonight, Christ will meet us in our humanity. He will rescue us from the trouble. And let's just just say this as we come to a close there are many events happening to us within the UK so we might be starting a startup. We might be fearful we might be doubtful. God bless every one of us. Christ is with you. Wherever you are in Jesus name. We'll catch you soon. God bless you
