Love that as we're getting out there, as well, as it's all growing. And it's just good to be back across the mics. It's good to be back with you in the house. And we're going to look at something very interesting type. And because I don't know us a lot of people out there going, we're in the last days we aren't, aren't they you know, and so really want to look at a title of this podcast is going to be lovers of self when and we're going to anger around one scripture. And as usual, we're going to straight talk on lovers of self as usual, we're going to come straight from the barrel of the truth. And as usual, then we're going to cut straight through religion straight for really any nonsense that's out there. And we're just going to straight talk through it, man. So this scripture, we're going to look at a menace to Timothy three, one to nine,
Reverend Ben Cooper:big scripture, big scripture, just reading it right now Simon has a lot of there's a lot of stuff in there. And I love the way that it starts off. So if anyone is following us and we welcome everybody in the world of Buzzsprout. And we just want to say hello to our Buzzsprout family as well, we thank you for the 1000s of downloads, on#Christian straight talk and on the other platforms that are on Apple podcast as everybody that's out there, everybody across the world and we just want to say thank you at this very moment in time for all of our podcast listeners. And as Simon said, you can just jump across and you can find so much more on our Patreon page that we're on there #Christian Straight Talk download the app straight into that and you will find a lot more and Simon has got a real interest in scripture here and I'm reading it at a one iron looking on the social networks as people are joining us across the world Good morning to every one of you this morning. So to Timothy chapter three, one to nine Simon when God and Christ and the Spirit of God says this in verse one but mark this he's been serious when he when he speaks in three words but mark this
Simon Pinchbeck:but notice but mark this the it's you know wherever translation you've got it is a serious serious serious sins Paul, Paul is speaking about stuff that we've seen all around us today and they've been really and this really is x accelerating a train coming down the track this unstoppable week is very difficult to we're gonna look at this and go and look what it means to as Christians and we're gonna look at our we can sort of combat this so all live around it Ben and yeah, he says
Reverend Ben Cooper:it's a deep hole scripture in it because it says Mark this. There will be terrible times in the last days load helpers. There will be terrible times in the last days but we got religion out there. jumping around on the Starlight Express days still thinking
Simon Pinchbeck:they're still performing. Oh my best
Reverend Ben Cooper:still pulling out the West End shows on a Sunday morning
Simon Pinchbeck:gentlemen about no socks and shoes and yeah, jeans and all that sort of stuff and loving it.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And the world is crashing and the world is crashing all around and how many broken people are out there that are actually in church. How many people are out there that are really lost but not lost because they're saved but they're just lost in the world how many people are in in all the different areas of life you know in different professions across the world. Off frightened to talk about their Christianity, because of where we sit with what's going on broken people in the workplace, how many people are like that? Christians,
Simon Pinchbeck:we talked about a church again, when we talked about the problem is, and we've say every time on this platform when is that the Church wants to bring the world into the church, instead of where it used to be where it used to stand. It used to stand and the world would be influenced by the church. Now more
Reverend Ben Cooper:the government is pulling the strings and the church is dancing. We've got that coronation coming up. So namely, well,
Simon Pinchbeck:you know, I mean, we're going off down a rabbit hole come I saw an headline in the paper this week, saying them, he's at loggerheads with the church, I will say about being a defender of the faith,
Reverend Ben Cooper:we know it was coming, you know, he's a defender of the forest. What do you mean by that? He loves a tree. Oh, Charles loves a tree, save the planet.
Simon Pinchbeck:He wants all faiths to be represented. This is really
Reverend Ben Cooper:serious actually song. Because although we said we might be going down a rabbit hole, but this is this is what we are talking about, actually in this scripture, because what you will find that we have got leaders that are not interested in Christianity. So his mum was a firm, firm. We lost covering we lost that covering and I honestly believe when when God lifted her off the Earth, something happened to the UK. So now we have leaders look at the leaders that we got. Where are the Christian leaders? The King is showing yourself not to be a Christian though,
Simon Pinchbeck:but we're going to come on because they have a religion, and it's not Christianity, and we'll come on to have that in a moment. But should I read the Scripture Have
Reverend Ben Cooper:you read that scripture because it's frightening me?
Simon Pinchbeck:It says But know this but mark this that in the last days perilous times will come help me for men will be lovers of themselves. Now, we see that all around
Reverend Ben Cooper:it's easy to become that
Simon Pinchbeck:you've taken a selfie lightly.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I've taken for this morning
Simon Pinchbeck:this is my this is made
Reverend Ben Cooper:me breakfast. This is me in the shops. This is me this is made it's all about me. It's all about me
Simon Pinchbeck:serious and I know I'm laughing but that's that's where we're at on me.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So what about me? Look a lovers of themselves. That's what social network do. That's what the socials is all about me. And Madami chips,
Simon Pinchbeck:and it's not reality, but now it's a false world, isn't it? How many times I just I've just because it is big on the social media and MMA times have I ever seen looked at someone's Facebook page or whatever? They look like they're having a great time. Give them a quick phone call.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Is it broken?
Simon Pinchbeck:or broken? That's the basis is a false world. I want you to see that. To see me. Now. You know, I'm in an ice cream and we're crying over it. They said men will be lovers of themselves lovers of money.
Reverend Ben Cooper:This is scary. This is scary Tex
Simon Pinchbeck:boasters proud blasphemy blasphemous disobedience at our parents.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Wow, that is enormous. Yeah, you know,
Simon Pinchbeck:it's huge. Even my eight year old granddaughters given it large to my mom, you know, it's Yeah,
Reverend Ben Cooper:yeah, yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:I'm thankful on holy my father forgive me for us in unloving unforgiving, slanderous without self control brutal violence across the world now that also
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, when you look at that word brutal that's a really interesting word because although it talks about the violence of IT people are brutal with their words. Yeah, okay. The people there's a lot there's a mass percentage out there this day and age that are not bothered how they speak to you. And there's no respect anymore respect has dropped out the the ocean door the you know, how many how many times you get caught in in a situation somewhere and people just literally just swear in one after the other and when when they know what you represent. They don't even stop they don't even get I'm really sorry about that. No. And they use in the big every words the every staff and they're being so that brutal, is that as well, and it continues in it.
Simon Pinchbeck:So you experienced that even though you got your dog collar on when you're walking around what I'm fine
Reverend Ben Cooper:now the last few years there goading me to react. So they're being very brutal. So when when you've got the dog collar on when you're out and about and people talk to you, and even in secular environments that I walk around there, it's like they're trying to get me to react to their language and trying to be as brutal and it's really strange what's happening out there's no respect anymore it comes back to the world as loot lost respect for. For for God for for humanity you've
Simon Pinchbeck:got to stop going down the pub late at night that's the problem of Oh,
Reverend Ben Cooper:yeah, I got a pack that I got a pack that
Simon Pinchbeck:was your round vicar. If your
Reverend Ben Cooper:cat continues then it
Simon Pinchbeck:despises of good. Traitors, headstrong, haughty lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God well, all over the place leaving the hedonistic world Dunwich as the true having a form of godliness but denying its power. That's interesting wonder he's referring to So hello, religion. Yeah. Having a form of godliness and a form of that one. Oh, Jesus. Do Yeah. But yeah, Jesus. Yeah, he's he's my mind.
Reverend Ben Cooper:He's my mate. Jesus is my mate. Well, actually, Jesus is my Redeemer. Jesus is absolutely our Redeemer denying its power. Yeah, no. So that's what religion does. It denies its power and religion and across a Calvary in a courtyard wanting to remove the power of Jesus Christ. So this isn't this is nothing new. But when we when we look at what we're reading, this is big stuff this morning. Big
Simon Pinchbeck:tech pulses and from such people we should turn away for all this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins led away by various Euless always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Yeah. So yeah, I mean, even even that, you know, university professors, all that stuff, know huge amounts. Yeah. But don't know the truth. But
Reverend Ben Cooper:you will know the truth. And the truth will set you free, it comes down to surrender, doesn't it? When you look at all this, this is about surrender. It is about following Jesus and it is turning your back on the world. And don't conform to the pattern of the world. But Jesus says you got to go into the world. So we go into being in the world we go in with, with Ephesians, six on us, we go in with the armor on with Jesus with Jesus, we go into the world, but we don't partake in what the world is doing. And that
Simon Pinchbeck:is that's the key. And that's the difficult, that is a difficult thing not to get caught. Because when you're a jump free, free Christian, when you're born again, you've been separated from the world, you now is another kingdom. But he goes on to say now, as James and John has resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth. Men have corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith, but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all as theirs was also and that's very interesting to them. Because we what we've said many times this platform, the veil has been lifted. People are being exposed for what they are. Yeah. Whereas like, politicians have been exposed for what they are. And we're now being able to see the corruptness and the wickedness that goes on a very high
Reverend Ben Cooper:then it's before our very eyes. So you bounce straight back, didn't you to Timothy chapter three, verse one, it says there'll be terrible times in the last days People will be lovers of themselves lovers of money. So here we come. This is what I think we are seeing at this moment in time boastful, proud, abusive. It sometimes feels like that the world is so abusive. It is the new normal and I hate using that phrase. I hate using that the new normal.
Simon Pinchbeck:Do you ever feel like I don't know if you're if you're out there, but I've felt like this a little bit. I really don't want to be part of this world. But I have not you said I have to be in the world but
Reverend Ben Cooper:not part of it not. So there's that there's that fine line. There's that invisible line isn't there when you've got to go into areas where angels fear to tread. But you're going in as a Christian woman, you're going in as a Christian man, you're going in as a John three believer, you're going into the hard areas of life, you're going into the ivory towers, you're going into the secular workplace. You might work in massive organizations. You might be a Christian teacher in a school. Imagine what that's like now being a Christian teacher having to deliver this. I actually look at look at education, it's might think it's really abusive. It's what we got here. It's abuse. It teaching our children.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well, it's, uh, yeah, you're right. And then that's something we're going to really look at in a moment because, you know, over 2030 years ago, some some of the great preachers that were around there now, David Wilkerson, is that amazing preachers? Derek Prince Conlon is still around the day. They were saying that they were saying that the good rightists threat to our Christian religion to our Christian way of life is not coming from any other religion. It's not coming from Islam not coming from any other religion, but it's from a new religion that's out there. And it's called humanism, humanism or and I think you see it a lot, don't you where you are see a lot. Yeah, that puts man at the center Ben it pushes our heavenly father out it pushes him well out. And it's it's quite as it's an extreme selfish religion humanism it says you know I need I need to be happy I need to be this and it doesn't recognize Jesus doesn't recognize God it's pushed him out completely. It doesn't
Reverend Ben Cooper:recognize in any way shape or form that there is an afterlife it doesn't recognize that faith exists whatsoever. So everything that you're looking at that human beings connect and give their own lives for seeking happiness for this second in time. But what must it be like to have no hope? To have no faith to have? No. Because then you become self centered and it's very interesting that humanism comes against what it comes against faith, it comes against the faith schools, it comes against the church.
Simon Pinchbeck:It totally I know and we're gonna look at the see it's a real mirror opposite of what the 10 commandments are because they have their own things called 10 commandments and if you see what happened, you know, if you go back to the book of Daniel, when the there's a writing on the wall, do you remember the hand was Yeah. Now, that fella there, he would not be he understood, but he would not bend the knee. I will not bend the knee. And and what happened that very night is life was taken and that very night his kingdom was lost. As Christians, that's what we do we surrender is and as Christians we surrender to Jesus. So you know In, in Philippines, it said the day will come when every knee will bow and every tongue that Jesus is Lord, Amen. Hallelujah. And in John 15 five it says, Your graft I'm the vine your graft into divine you can do nothing apart from me but humanist and the humanist agenda wants to say that. That's nothing to do with you. We are putting in man at the center. That's right. And they know that God no Jesus no
Reverend Ben Cooper:more to do with science that there is science and men and natural phenomenon. And there's no supernatural side whatsoever to this world. I can't imagine what it would be like to go through life, thinking that this is my one life. Because if I went through this life and lived it as as it is, at this moment in time, you can become very selfish because you will want everything for yourself. Because if this is the if this is my only shot of living forever, I'm going to be almost brutal trashers rash lovers of myself,
Simon Pinchbeck:he loves the money. Yeah, you could do whatever you want, as long as you don't get away.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And then Darwinistic approach comes in the survival of the fittest. I will trample on whoever I will Tremper up on so I can get what I want for my own game because this is my life and I'm going to live it to the fall. So humanist, you've got Darwinistic approach to it. And you've got the tree hugging approach to it as well. So you've got all this and it says that there is no love there is no love in it. It's very self centered and self centered.
Simon Pinchbeck:There's no openness, no no love like you say um, I was speaking to someone the other day No, I went to a humanist funeral but and then the man Have you been to?
Reverend Ben Cooper:I've been to him I've been involved them in certain areas work that I do. And I'll tell you what, goodness gracious me. I'd rather have a dog barking at Marwan than have that. I'd rather have a cat meow. Because I'll tell you what talk about very robotic, no life in it. It's a script.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well, if you look at these 10 commandments, bend to be honest with you, let's have a look at so they they reject they say the 10 commandments is that they? This is from the humanist website. So they'd say the 10 commandments is from a strict God who used to struggle with now we've done we've done 10 assault podcasts on the on the 10 commandments, and then they just, they're, they are commandments, and they're a guide to life and if everyone stuck with it was commandments,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you would treat people better. There'd be more peace, there'd be more love, there'd be more freedom. There, there'd be so much more in the world for the good for the
Simon Pinchbeck:good look, I mean, look at these commitments been the recipe for disaster to be honest with you. So if you look at number one, it says critical thinking, really? That is human reasoning, you know, think philosophers think you can reason all that out. Yeah. Yeah. Rather than operate with faith, you know, they want to take that out. So this is this is the one that interests me, because number two is called ethical development. Oh, that's a
Reverend Ben Cooper:bit big for me on a Thursday morning at this time in the morning, but
Simon Pinchbeck:it breaks it down. It's caused itself, situational ethics,
Reverend Ben Cooper:situational ethics, which is as a surprise, so
Simon Pinchbeck:the nightmare because it's as each day as its own adapt adaptation. So it's okay to say one thing one day,
Reverend Ben Cooper:and politicians is it got something to do with 100%?
Simon Pinchbeck:See, so it's okay. But if the situation changes, I can adapt to that situation.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Or ethics, because
Simon Pinchbeck:it's situated. So what
Reverend Ben Cooper:is the point? It's not? It's not that it's the situation. And the ethics has changed. So I can adapt to whatever the environment is, and I'll make the environment happen. So again, I'll come back to being very Darwinistic approach I will trample on and I will make my own roadmap for my life, you're
Simon Pinchbeck:under percent, right? You're absolutely correct, Ben, because it means it means this flexible guidelines, so I can bend the truth. There's no absolute rules, because there's no truth because there's no. And if you look at similar politicians, I was obviously a summit this morning, a fella called Tucker Carlson on on Fox News in the state. And he picked out several politicians, they were there who have morphed into different people, of course, and all of a sudden, they're talking like different people. And they're saying, Oh, I was from this background. And no, you weren't, it was a complete lie. And it was from that background. But because I have to adapt to the situation. So I can be whoever I want to be, is actually in that particular situation.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And that's what the world is telling us. And that's what the Bible actually says in the last days, as it was in the days of Noah. So when we look at what we're looking at, if you look at those that don't believe in creation, those that are atheists, those that are humanists, those that are Darwinistic approach, when you look at all that it's all about self, there is no love in any of this, there is anger, there is frustration,
Simon Pinchbeck:you know, with situational ethics, you can lie, use, lie lie,
Reverend Ben Cooper:the situation has changed, choices change.
Simon Pinchbeck:So it changed my standpoint, changes and wherever. So when
Reverend Ben Cooper:you look at all this stuff that's happening across the world, and you see what's happening through all the money markets, or the politicians, all while the majority of politics is using that humanistic that Darwinistic approach that I can say what I want, because in the morning, it's irrelevant, but actually, actually, it's like COVID, I'll actually it's changed situation where they can't go out stay Oh, you can't. You can't do that. And so what you've got is science and human reasoning, don't mix. It can't mix. But humanists go on science, they go on reasoning, they go on situation or ethics. So suddenly, faith is out of it. And then suddenly, you become almost a brutal person because there is no love because it's all about self. And you changing the environment to suit what your flesh wants. Well, you want in the situation?
Simon Pinchbeck:Well, number three, Ben is called peace and social justice, which is and social justice is, is used anything can be an injustice, call it these days, yeah, anyone, anything can be an injustice, but it has to be taken seriously. So whatever your concerns are, I have to accept them and breezing them through and so number four become service and participation. It's values, action, socially,
Reverend Ben Cooper:it's given us freedom to do what you want. And that's what the Bible says in the last days, there'll be the children will be rising against parents there'll be lawlessness was exactly what
Simon Pinchbeck:we're reading in that scripture and what is coming
Reverend Ben Cooper:out of political drive that is coming out of the humanistic drive coming out of every other drive is that you can be whoever you want. And it is your right. And you can be a new I can identify as a cat or dog or fly him she whoever I'm a tree today. That's your right. Exact Look at that man. That was on telly you got a day on telly. Unbelievable and good morning. Not If someone sent me the link, and he identifies as a broccoli, and they was taking him seriously, this is serious. He was on Good morning TV, and he identified as a broccoli. And he was sitting there dressed up as a broccoli. And the interviewers were interviewing as a piece of broccoli. I thought I was gonna wake up, and being One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, I thought, I cannot believe the media is actually giving this person he was green. It wasn't a joke. It was literally real.
Simon Pinchbeck:I mean, they go so far, I don't know. But I mean, if you identified as a, I'm a doctor a nice bit of village steak, they wouldn't know that would be very red and red meat. Even you can't identify as heterosexual.
Reverend Ben Cooper:You can't be heterosexual, you're going against the mainstream. You can't be a heterosexual person, where a dog Why can't you can be anything. But I have another question.
Simon Pinchbeck:Number five is empathy been on these commitments? So you're always looking at the other person's point of view exactly what you're saying then with the broccoli person do you know I have to look at your point of view and, and know you're telling a lie.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So if you're a broccoli, I'm going to read you
Simon Pinchbeck:know, broccoli, no, you're a map. You're not appropriate. I've got
Reverend Ben Cooper:so this word, identification we have lost who we are, even the UK doesn't know who it is anymore. We have lost the fundamental points we have lost the structure. We we are in a carnage situation at this moment, the money markets are spiraling. You've got the healthcare sector spiraling out of control, you've got everything breaking out of control everywhere, and there is no control. And that's what the Bible says there'll be lawlessness in the last day that stays
Simon Pinchbeck:because they've, they've gone away from the 10 commandments and commandments when and so and this I've just read in this thing, I'm writing it down, off, took it off their off their website, is just a mishmash. And just a recipe for disaster. So number six is humility. So you have to be you know, it's all about being all about you being comfortable all about you, in looking at out for someone else. And then number seven, of course, is the environment, we gotta look after the environment. Number eight is global awareness how our actions affects the world, one
Reverend Ben Cooper:world
Simon Pinchbeck:government, no numbers, yeah, save the
Reverend Ben Cooper:planet. This is what this is what the king is. So the king is, is in Loggerhead with the church now we knew that you knew that this was going to happen. So what we've got is a global environment, we've got a globalization, we've got global, the banks are dropping off the high streets, everything's going online, everything is controllable, we've lost our right freedom of speech. If you are a Christian, you can't preach on the corners anymore. Because it's offensive.
Simon Pinchbeck:It's and what I'll come to, you know, with so number nine is responsibility, we decide the guidelines, you decide the guidelines. So you decide, we can decide what's
Reverend Ben Cooper:situation ethics, we'll change it to adapt to what we want. So they're pulling all these cards out the drawer. And we as a nation, if you are a believer, John three, free believe, and this is a time, then you're going to really feel the word persecution, you're really going to feel the thumbscrews tightening. You really are.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well, you know, we've got people in certain places in America just decriminalizing things that he's that he's wrong, because they're looking at this and saying we decide the guidelines. Number 10 is altruism, which is caring for others, but all puts man at the center. There is no sin. We can't call it sin. There's no sadness in there is no sin. There's no so there's no moral judgment, Ben, you know, so, always murdered someone. Oh, that's not very loving. Is it? General? I mean, unless so. So he must let's have a look at his point of view, you know, exactly. Don't worry too much about the victim. Look at his point of view. Yeah, it's very true. And all this comes down to and this this Hume humanistic point of view is supposed to set people free. But what you've alluded to just there, it's just a way of controlling the it's a way to control you know, because what will come out, and there's what what they're looking at very closely now is this digital currency, which will control everything. And it's designed to make us free but they want to know every single action how many times you filled up your car, how many times
Reverend Ben Cooper:they've got it every night so they've got your show. Have it
Simon Pinchbeck:in Europe now that you know you you cannot buy anything with more than 1000 euros cash which Wow which is gonna affect you a little bit. Your your your cash you are the cash ashtag cash man. Yeah, yeah,
Reverend Ben Cooper:yeah, thank you, Boris. Yeah. But when when you look at what's happening around the world, you've got one world currency looking. And you also you've got the World Health Authority as well pushing through this pandemic treaty. So if this pandemic treaty goes through, what we will find the powers will be lifted off of our government, the powers we lifted off them, because they're talking about more lockdowns and they're talking about. So what is a lockdown? A lockdown is a controlling environment to lock us down. So this pandemic treaty, if this comes in, and it will come in, it will take the hands and the power off of the British government to not be able to lock us down when they think we got to lock down but there'll be another higher power that has the authority. So we are rising for this antichrist, this one will go globalization. So we're being prepared for that we are being prepared for on every level. And this is something happening with our phones in sometime in April, where the government are going to ping our phones for the natural disaster thing, that there's something happening to your mobile phone that you will find that the government are going to ping it through differently. This is this is so good to be alive at this moment. Because the Bible is telling us and it's
Simon Pinchbeck:all coming true. And in Matthew 2424, it is even the Elector will be deceived, it says. So they're deceiving themselves. Yeah, and then and then in two paths alone, Ian's it tells us, Ben that there'll be a huge delusion coming on we've got that is coming through and the church, the church is part of the US delusion, because unless you know the Bible, unless you know the Word of God, unless you know it bent, then you've got no power to stand up and you you've got no power,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you've got no power. So you've got no hope. So no other faith will be affected by this But Christianity because because God is really clearly showing us through the word of God. But Mark this, this is a serious text that we are in. But Mark this there will be terrible times in the last days we're in it. It says People will be lovers of themselves lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, you can't touch a child now, you can't do it for a long time. The children in schools are running riot, lawlessness,
Simon Pinchbeck:it's worse than that. It's it's the fact that they're in a lot of places that they're saying, if you want to question your agenda, you can, you can come to us, and we won't tell your parents, so Oh, yeah. So you there's no parental control and anymore and, and with a gender thing, you can be who you want when you want, can't you and Yeah. And do you know, I understand that these these, we understand that there's maybe psychological and physiology logical stuff going on, but when you can just identify whatever you want, whenever you want. When you just and there's a lot of people out there Ben just identifying. It's mainly meant to be and women and yeah, that's what it seems to be. Yeah. Well, it seems to be so there's a lot and they're the most vocal. Yeah. People transitioning, say they're transitioning and so they can just wander in wherever to women's toilet they can just wander in and
Reverend Ben Cooper:so if I identify as a dog can I kind of kennel for the night?
Simon Pinchbeck:I thought you already worrying. But it's the craziness of craziness, but
Reverend Ben Cooper:I have the right to be whatever I want to be and whatever I decide you don't like it. That's my human rights.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah. And I'll show you then I'm gonna be but I can't, you know us. So we're struggling to be identified as a white heterosexual Christian
Reverend Ben Cooper:Christian, but you can't be that because that's the can't do that.
Simon Pinchbeck:If you want to identify to be another race that's, that's they struggle with that as well. But if you want to identify and and I think I think they are targeting Christians, I think they
Reverend Ben Cooper:aren't all 100% Christian, then religion, religion I just bow down to it because religion is bowing down religion is involved in it when I saw religion is dressing up in that religion is
Simon Pinchbeck:She's inviting a world into the church rather than standing up against it but another thing is when we saw the the shootings over in in Tennessee that it was a man transitioning to be a woman walked into a Christian school got no affiliation with that school whatsoever. He ain't got no beef with that, other than that they were as Christians. That's right. And because we stand and we bear the knee and we totally surrendered to Jesus and because we believe in in a higher power that that that gives us guidelines and gives us rules to live by a dangerous one a sharp, sharp hoops, I think, I think we've got to be very careful. But but you know what then if we look at the book on Molokai right, interesting, which is the last book at the Old Testament, it says a voice will rise up, it says a voice will rise up, the God will raise a voice, it will raise men and women up and he says,
Reverend Ben Cooper:We are expected to see men and women that will rise up and be raised up and God will protect them in the last days to deliver the message that the message hasn't been delivered. Because the church is too woke and too frightened to deliver the message of the truth. The gospels
Simon Pinchbeck:are going to ask you this. But so so I think the men and women will be raised up on I think there'll be men and women raised up to speak out. But you know what, Ben, I think everyone as a Christian
Reverend Ben Cooper:has a voice. Every believer, religion has no voice. Religion has got tonsillitis, and wherever, that's a choker. Religion has been choked by this, right? That's right situation where ethics, religion is trapped. But if you are a believer, you have a voice and the world cannot shut you down. There is 360 million persecuted Christians across the globe. And we only have what we have not we don't even have 18 million people in the UK. So there are 360 million people that are being persecuted Iran, Afghanistan, China, all these places across the globe, my Omar, all over the place that are running for their faith, but they are real Bible believing believers, and they're martyrs of the faith.
Simon Pinchbeck:So I that that they are they are the Church
Reverend Ben Cooper:of Jesus Christ.
Simon Pinchbeck:And when we say a voice, it's it's either a vocal voice, or it's by your actions,
Reverend Ben Cooper:and as a great ministry called Voice of the Martyrs, which is really interested in ministry out there. And so we are living in the last day. So what we're seeing is across the world is that they're being persecuted now it's coming across our shorelines through situational ethics through politics, we will be persecuted in a very different way to have they are
Simon Pinchbeck:yes, we will. But so what we have to do is as Christians standing to stand up for our faith and it doesn't mean walking around with a Bob doesn't mean getting on a soapbox. Now, just live let Jesus live out through you let your light shine and Matthew
Reverend Ben Cooper:right at the time that you've said it. Let your light, shine, shine for Jesus Christ. Be that warrior be that encourage you be that Barnabas be that person that delivers that hopeful message be that person at work, be that person at university, be that person in your family, your life where you say you know what, there is hope there is a way forward and we will find a way out because God will not fail us God will God will show us even there is terrible times as the scripture says in to Timothy chapter three, one and nine it says Mark this but there were terrible terrible times in the last days even though there is terrible times there is hope
Simon Pinchbeck:there is hope and hope says in Revelation which is rare revelation 370 And I think if I think it says one of the churches I'm not sure which one it is it said later say are you do yeah it said yes. We'll get you out we were all right because we've got silver and gold because you've got plenty
Reverend Ben Cooper:we got plenty of dosh religion so your fine art won't get get your family into heaven.
Simon Pinchbeck:You know,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you notice God
Simon Pinchbeck:you know what he says in Hebrews But it says there's going to be a shaken that we are in that shaken and unless you've got five lists, you've got firm five, you're gonna shake, everything was shaken up. Benny says in Isaiah with it, within one hour you can everything taken away,
Reverend Ben Cooper:in one hour, everything can be stripped back from your life. We really want to encourage you this morning we are in a very deep in a very beautiful, very powerful text. And wherever you're joining us on whatever platform you're on hashtag Christian straight talk through Elam or whatever that may be off through Patreon. You know, two Timothy 33129 is a time for now within the UK within the globalization within this situation or ethics within humanism Darwinistic approach and the atheists that are out there, this is where we sit there will be terrible times in the last days. We are in a very precarious place in the UK. We have leaders in positions. We have the leader of a Scotland that isn't a Christian we have a leader of the UK that isn't a Christian we have a leader of the Mayor of London that isn't a Christian we have leaders in situation or positions that are not Christians. So if you are a Christian, your faith will be tested and stretched in these last days.
Simon Pinchbeck:Big time but but take heart take heart take Harper's, because as it says in the Book of malloc, I free one, and then it goes on for six where it says the men will be drawn back to people will be drawn back to the fathers and fathers back to the men. Lest I put a curse on the earth, He says, but that some so we, if we live our Christian life out, yeah. And on a day to day basis, if we live it out each day, if we live an exciting Christian life, we will let the light shine, then we are the saints that stand up to all this and we will make a difference in our communities in all areas. And I would I would embrace anyone encourage anyone to get involved in their communities to get involved in their community councils wherever they are to get across because
Reverend Ben Cooper:you've got to let your light shine over. Yeah, you don't hide it under the bushel. Otherwise hide in that closet? You've got to come close it. I don't know what I mean.
Simon Pinchbeck:Otherwise been. You know, you started Good morning. Good morning, when when stuff is happening, and you're going oh, where's where's the where? Why aren't they doing something about it when we can do something about it? As individuals in our neighborhoods in our areas, we can make a difference. And people will see that. Yeah, we'll see what that we're living people will, I think, all this humaneness stuff, and I think there'll be a time when people have just had enough of it,
Reverend Ben Cooper:I think people have had enough already Darwinistic approach is coming away. Humanism is not really growing to that extent. You know, you've got atheists not not really growing to that extent, what you've got is World Religions more than anything else, that that is the fret, but this
Simon Pinchbeck:is the world religion, humanism is the word is Yeah, is the world religion across the board, because it is very attractive, because it puts you at the center. And that you can do wherever you want to be and be whoever you want to be
Reverend Ben Cooper:at any given time. And you can identify in the morning to someone and situation that ethic has changed in the afternoon. And suddenly, I'm not a dog anymore. I'm a cat this afternoon,
Simon Pinchbeck:you can go and commit a crime and it's all about you. It's all about me
Reverend Ben Cooper:and it gets turned around and diverted on. On that side of things. You know, we are living in very powerful times in the UK. And the way forward is to praise God to lift God up to to walk, we've got to walk in the scriptures, because the Bible is very clear in to Timothy, chapter three, one and nine, mark this there'll be terrible times in the last days, it is not good at the moment, what you look at across the platform of life,
Simon Pinchbeck:identity, where's the good defender
Reverend Ben Cooper:certifies everything,
Simon Pinchbeck:but be encouraged. Because if we if we hang on to our faith, to the word, yeah, be encouraged and just let let your light, shine, light, shine and let Jesus shine out through you.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It's really, really important church, brothers and sisters, wherever you are across the earth is that without any shadow of any doubt, whatsoever, we are living in perilous times. And we need Jesus Christ in this nation like never before. You know, you look at the persecuted church, and they they are running for their lives. They are hungry for the Word of God. Is the church in the UK hungry for Jesus? Or is it literally working and moving through situation or ethics, woke ism, all that stuff going on? Now is a time if you are a believer to really stand on the Living Word and to let that light shine? And I think
Simon Pinchbeck:yeah, I think you've got to look at where your church is at if
Reverend Ben Cooper:you if you look at the top of the denomination, if you if you look at the leader in
Simon Pinchbeck:a church, look, is it performance driven church? Is it all about performance? Are they are they putting on little skits? Are they putting on little plays on it? Are they are they? Is it entertainment? Or is it the word? Is it the Word of God Word of God and I know in this place, Ben, you know you, I know you and you're you're preaching the word of God and what you're finding, but I think you're finding that people are leaving other churches to come in your church, we're
Reverend Ben Cooper:getting a lot of visitors people are coming in to see what's going on no ruffle of feathers. God is really, really bringing me to the living Word of God to deep dive into the scriptures.
Simon Pinchbeck:It has to be believed now.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I left just preach the walk. I just preached the wall. It's just no one else is just me. Sometimes I invite the cat in or the dog in Noah's Ark. It's like Noah's ark, and that's what the church is known for. All animals are welcome. I don't get no trouble from animals.
Simon Pinchbeck:No, you know, that's, I mean, and they listen to the words.
Reverend Ben Cooper:They're barking, barking. They must be getting into that but
Simon Pinchbeck:what we're what we're saying is to cling on to the word cling on to your faith and being encouraged, be encouraged auditions and go out and
Reverend Ben Cooper:be radical. I think we got to use that word. Be a radical Christian. Let the world know that you are are a Jesus follower, and you will not be moved you will not be shaken in an especially if you work in a very area that is very tight on Christianity, you're gonna have a struggle on your shoulders to be that Christian in that world. But if you're
Simon Pinchbeck:a radical, you have got a belief in radical and you're five if you're radical in your faith, and that that leads on to radical obedience because you know when suddenly Lalo say I can use that person, and you'll be asked to do things. Yeah. And then you'll see miracles. Yeah, then follow it. Yeah, then you'll see stuff happening in your life. And then you say, this is exciting. This Christian life
Reverend Ben Cooper:miracles happen more or less miracles are happening in our lives. And that's what we got to focus on miracles, you are a miracle you are blessed and highly favored. We're out of here, we're gonna press the buttons. And we pray that wherever you are across this earth, that you'd be very careful who is in the circle of your life that you are walking with, that you are talking with, that you are praying with, and look at the head of the denomination that you are under are the ones at the top of the tree, really preaching Jesus Christ, uninterrupted Scripture all the way through. God bless every one of you, Simon, let's take take us Come on, let's get out of it.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well, I think it's time to get out from behind the city, switch off the news. We don't want to listen to any of that. And time to to cling on to the Word of God. So get into the Bible. And I would say get yourself a Bible. Don't look at it on your phone, get yourself a proper Bible, I completely agree that you can turn the pages to get into that read stuff that Jesus is saying, and be encouraged because when you start walking, and walking, walking the talk, then then the Lord will put people across your path or link you in with people and all of a sudden, you'll be part of something bigger than yourself.
