We're going to go to the book of Isaiah , chapter 40 , and we just have spent a little bit of time just a couple of weeks ago , just in another devotional , just in the front part of this text , but I just want to read out verse 31 .
Speaker 1You know , wherever you are across the world today , do you believe in miracles ? Let's believe in miracles . Let's believe that God is strengthening us . Are you weary ? Are you tired ? Are you exhausted ? You know , come on . Have you got mental health issues ? Are you worried ? Are you doubtful ? Are you worried about money , relationships , marriages ? Are you going through a divorce ? Are you doubtful ? Are you worried about money , relationships , marriages ? Are you going for a divorce ? Are you fearful of life ?
Speaker 1I want to encourage you today that God is strengthening you . You are going to rise up . You're going to rise up not because of the strength you have and the skill set that you carry , but because of the eternal God , and sometimes we have to go through the strip back . We have to go through a strip back before we can rise on wings as of eagles . So , wherever you are , let's grab a bible . If you're on the commute for these 15 minutes , just for a bit of bible reading and just a short amount of prayer , let's get straight in . So we're in the book of isaiah , chapter 40 , verse 31 . But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength . They will soar on wings as of eagles , they will run and not grow weary . They will walk and not be faint . I want to tell you today to walk , to keep walking . Wherever you are , whatever life looks like , however you measure life , I want you to keep walking . God is with you . God is with you .
Speaker 1Think about that great story in the old testament mishak , shamrock and abednego . When the , the fire was turned hot , when the heat was so hot and so strong , it literally took out the soldiers that took mishap , shamrock and abednego down to the blazing furnace . It took them out . But let me tell you this there's someone walking with you and his name is Jesus . There is someone walking with you and he is the king of kings and the lord of lords . There is someone walking with you and I want to encourage you to keep walking , as it says in the tail end of this text , in verse 31 of Isaiah 40 . They will walk and not be faint , whatever you face .
Speaker 1Just realize at this hour just keep walking . Don't pedal back , don't run back . Hold your place and keep walking . The presence of God is with you . The Holy Spirit is leading you . The word is taking you to new beginnings , but you've got to keep walking . Don't turn around , don't do a 360 . Don't do a 180 and just keep spinning around , spinning around . Don't do that dreaded 180 , turn and just flick halfway around and go back . You've got to go forward . Trust in the word of God . I want to encourage you today to go forward , to go forward in your life , to go forward , go forward . It might seem scary , it might seem really awkward , it might seem really difficult , it might seem bleak , it might feel black and uncertain . You know it's critical for you to keep walking and for me to keep walking . We've got to keep going forward , no matter what we see , what we feel , no matter what we analyze .

Speaker 1The Lord is my shepherd .
Speaker 1Six verses , powerful , powerful bit of scripture . But it's talking about walking through the valley . And death is only a shadow . It's only a shadow . What is happening to you ? It's a shadow . It cannot touch you , it cannot harm you . The situation is not going to wipe you out .
Speaker 1But you might say well , pastor Ben , you don't know what is actually going on in my life . Trust me , I've seen every scenario . I've been through every fire . I've been through every situation that you could ever go through as a leader , as a dad , as a parent , as a Christian , as a man . I've faced and I've had to walk through certain things in my life that have been frightening . And , believe me , right now , as we record this , this second , I'm still going through the fire , but I've got to keep walking . It's not a bed of roses , it's not all slices of cake and a nice cup of tea . Vicar , let me tell you wherever you are when God calls you . And what do you mean when God calls , when God calls you unto salvation ? This is not about ministry . This is about just keep walking . Keep walking . If you're in the fire , hallelujah . If you are in the fire today and you've been thrown in the edge and you've been chucked over the top and you feel that people just want to wipe you , take you out , destroy you , just keep walking , without further ado .
Speaker 1Let's just get straight into a moment of prayer . Let's pray through this scripture Father in the name of Jesus , we thank you for the Old Testament . We thank you for the word of God . Father in the name of Jesus , we thank you for the Old Testament . We thank you for the word of God . But right now , lord , in the book of Isaiah , chapter 40 , verse 31 , lord , as we read this out , we're praying this , we're reading this , but we're praying this prayer . Lord , you tell me , but for those who hope in the Lord , I hope in you Jesus will renew their strength . Lord , you're telling me through your word , through this prayer time , that renew their strength . Lord , you're telling me through your word , through this prayer time , that I am going to renew my strength . That's your word , god , this is not me speaking to me , this is you , god . So , lord , I call you down . I call you down into my life today . We call you down into our lives .
Speaker 1Today , lord , we speak bold . Lord , step into our arena and help us , father , bring the practical help , lord , help us to keep walking . And it says they will soar on wings as of eagles , they will run and not grow weary . They will walk and not be faint . Lord , we are walking but , lord , we need to know that you're with us .
Speaker 1Father , we thank you for everyone , in all the churches that pray for us but , lord , and on the social networks , where people put their clapping hands and their praying hands together . That's easy . That's easy to do . I'll pray for your brother , I'll pray for your sister . But , Spirit of the Living God , I need you , lord , to be with me and to be with my brothers and sisters in this prayer moment , in this daily devotion .
Speaker 1Today , lord , we need your strength as we walk forward as Christians , as Bible-believing , spirit-filled , braggadocious men and women for Christ . We are born again . Jesus and Lord , your word tells us that it cannot return void . And in the name of the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit , we speak victory over our lives , we speak the word over our lives , we speak the power over our lives . And now , god , we call you into the arena of our lives and we say , lord , show up , because , lord , I'm walking and it's a scary walk , lord , I feel like I'm on a tightrope . Lord , I can't look down , I can't look above , I can't look to the left and the right , I've just got to keep walking . Father , please send your Son to my life . Please , god , send the Holy Spirit .
Speaker 1Lord , we know we're saved , but , lord , we know we've got church people and church family around us , but know we've got church people and church family around us . But , lord , I need practical help today . Lord , I'm tired . Lord , through this prayer time of people saying I pray for you , brother , I pray for you , I pray for you , I pray for you , lord , we need practical help because , as we walk forward , we need brothers and sisters will journey with us , lock shields of faith and say I'm walking with you , ben , I'm walking with you , ben , don't worry , we're walking together in the name of Jesus . So , lord , I pray that my brothers and sisters around the world , lord , we walk together . We walk together through the valley of the shadow of death . We walk together . Lord , we will walk and , lord , we will not be weary . Lord , we will keep walking .
Speaker 1Lord , we're going to keep marching , marching to Zion . We're going to keep walking in the kingdom of God . We're going to walk through the trouble . We're going to walk through the fire . We're going to walk through the flood . We're going to wait right at the edge of the Jordan River and you are going to part that river . God , you are God , you have to . God , we claim the word , we claim the promises , yes and amen . And in the spirit of the living God , we speak the word of life over our lives . Today , we're bold . Today , jesus , we're like lions . Today , we're warriors . Today , lord , even though my emotions , lord , lord , are trying to get me down on the floor , lord , my faith has got to rise . So , lord , we walk .
Speaker 1According to the book of isaiah , chapter 40 , we will walk and not be faint , lord . We're not going to be fainting at the glass . We're not going to faint at the , at the pace of the river jordan , we're not going to faint , lord . And when we look at the size of jericho , we are not going to faint , lord . And when we look at the size of Jericho . We are not going to faint , god , we're going to keep walking and we're going to keep walking , and no one is going to take us and knock us off track , because we're walking for the King . We're walking , we're your ambassadors , lord , and you've got to show up . Yes , god , you've got to show up in the name of Jesus .
Speaker 1And today , lord , as we are scattered across the world , spirit of the living God , we ask you , father , that you will set us on fire today , that we will feel the word of God beating in our chest when we're on the commute , when we're at school , when we're at home , when we're in the staff room , when we're on the scaffold , when we're in our place of work . Wherever we are , lord , we believe in in our place of work , wherever we are , lord , we believe in the power of the word of god . I thank you , lord . We don't need church , we need jesus . I thank you , lord , that we're not interested in religion . We need jesus . We thank you , lord , that we're not worried about ministry , we need jesus .
Speaker 1So , father , will you fire us up today , lord , we just don't want a tiny candle burning in our heart , lord , we want a bonfire . We want to be on fire for the God of Israel . Lord , we want to stand on a rock of all ages . You are Jehovah Jireh , you are Jehovah Nissi , and we walk together , we lock shields of faith through this prayer , devotional time , together , lord , as we rest in the word . So , father , we thank you for the book of Isaiah , chapter 40 , verse , verse 31 .
Speaker 1But for those who hope in the Lord , we will renew their strength . They will soar on wings as of eagles . They will run and not grow weary . They will walk and not be faint . Spirit of the living God , we are going to walk and we're not going to pass out . We're going to pass through , lord . We're going to walk and we're not going to pass out . We're going to pass through , lord . We're going to walk and we're not going to pass out . We're going to walk through .
Speaker 1In the name of Jesus , lord , we declare your word over our lives . We declare your word through this prayer time . We declare your word through this devotional time . In the name of Jesus , father , will you ? Yes , you are , you've got to , because your word says that your word cannot return void . So , lord , you have to step into our arena .
Speaker 1So , god , we call you down . We know you're here . We know you're living within us , we know that we are spirit-filled , we know that we have the living word . But , lord , we do a Jacob on you today , god . We do a Jacob on the God of Israel and we are not letting you go until you bless us and reveal the glory of the Holy Spirit .
Speaker 1So today , lord , wherever we are across this world , come Lord , come Holy Spirit , bring your glory , bring your power , bring the word of God . Lord , we are going to bring your glory , bring your power , bring the word of God . Lord , we are going to walk and not grow faint . In Jesus' name , amen . You know I pray for you and I mean it right now . I pray that God will strengthen you through your walk , through your journey . You know this is a great text that we're in in this devotion today Isaiah 40 , verse 31, . But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength . They will soar on wings as of eagles . They will run and not grow weary . They will walk and not be faint . It is the last line of chapter 40 that we have been referencing today . They will walk and not be faint .
Speaker 1As you walk through the valley of the shadow of death , you declare healing over your body . As you walk through the valley of the shadow of death , you declare financial strength . As you walk through the valley of the shadow of death , you declare miracles over your life . As you walk through the valley of the shadow of death , you declare miracles over your life . As you walk through the valley of uncertainty , you declare faith in your innermost being . As you walk today , wherever you are , never stand still . Keep walking . You've got to keep walking . Trust me , keep walking .
Speaker 1Don't curl up under the duvet today . Don't curl up indoors . Don't allow the mental health , don't allow the torture , don't allow the history , don't allow the present , don't allow the future , do not allow any of that to hold you back . Get out the bed , get out the house , get out of the situation and you walk in the name of Jesus . You run and you declare the word of God over your lives . Come on brother , come on sister . This is the day that the Lord has made . We shall rejoice and be glad . The fire of God is over . You Keep walking . Come on . You can do this because God has got you . Keep walking by faith .
Speaker 1The Bible says do not look what . God has got you . Keep walking by faith . The Bible says do not look what you have around you . Do not allow yourself to be imprisoned by what is around us , what we have and what we do not have . The Bible says the just shall live by faith .
Speaker 1Hebrews 11 , verse 1 . Now , faith is the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things not seen . So as you start to walk , as you get out of the bed , as you rise up on wings as of eagles , start seeing your dream , start seeing your vision , start standing on the rock of all ages and you declare the word of God over you today , in the mighty name of Jesus Christ .
