In this five-minute prayer time , wherever you are across the world , we want to gather you together now with each and every one of us are praying .
Speaker 1The title of this prayer time is praying for desperation . We are praying that desperation will go and the text that we are coming from is from psalms 34 . Psalms 34 , verse 17 and 18 . The righteous cry out and the lord hears them . He delivers them from all of their troubles . The , the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit . Father , in the name of Jesus , we're praying , lord . We may have hit the road , lord , of complete and absolute desperation . So , lord , we're praying that this desperation will go and it will be replaced with faith . It will be placed , lord , with resilience and hope . So today , lord , we thank you for the psalmist in Psalm 34 , verse 17 and 18 . You tell us that you're close to those that are in trouble .
Speaker 1Father , we ask you right now that the spirit of the living God will lead us in paths of righteousness . And , lord , we thank you that you are close to the brokenhearted . Lord . You are close to us and , lord , for thank you that you are close to the brokenhearted . Lord , you are close to us . And Lord , for these hearts that are broken , these hearts that are lost , these hearts that are troubled , lord , we ask you now , and we believe that there is peace in these hearts , these broken hearts today , will you amend , lord , these broken hearts , father , these hearts that have been wounded , broken hearts , father , these hearts that have been wounded , lord , as we cry out , lord , your word says the righteous , cry out and the Lord hears them . He delivers them . Lord , you deliver us from all of our troubles , the troubles that we're in . Spirit of the living God , will you deliver us , lord ? We need you in our lives . We need your Father right at the forefront . We need you to the north , the east , the south and the west .
Speaker 1And we're calling on our God now and we're saying , father , will you come , lord , and just penetrate this skin in which we walk in ? Lord , we cannot live anymore , lord , by our emotions and our fears and our desperation . Lord , we are absolutely , completely desperate . Lord , we have reached a stage in our lives where we're calling this desperation . And , lord , I'm calling to you right now , and I'm sorry that I'm using this language , god , I'm sorry , lord , that I'm crying out in desperation , but , lord , I don't know what else to do .
Speaker 1Lord , the finances , lord , the worry , the fear , lord , the relationships , the schooling , the home , lord , the move , the job , the life that we have , father , sometimes we feel desperate and for those today , lord , that have hit that road of desperation , father , we ask you that you will remove and we thank you that you have removed desperation . And as we stand , father , on faith , we stand on the rock of all ages , spirit of the living God . We believe that there is a miracle in our lives today , whatever our hour is , whatever our time zone is , lord , will you move by your glory Because , lord , we've hit the wall . We've hit the tarmac , lord . We've hit that place of desperation and we need a miracle . Do you need a miracle today ? Do you require a miracle in your life ? God is about to do great things .
Speaker 1In these moments of closing , let's call on the greatest name in heaven and earth . Let's really digfired prayer Lord , remove the desperation in the name of Jesus . Lord , we come to the cross and we say thank you that we're born again , spirit-filled believers . But , father , in the name of Jesus , remove this desperation , lord , and give us strength right now . Lord , let your fire burn in our spirit . Lord , replace the desperation with hope . Lord , replace the desperation with faith . Lord , replace the desperation , lord , with the joy of the Lord . Sister and brother , the joy of the Lord is your strength as we close this prayer time together , may the fire of God sit in your heart . May the presence of the Holy Spirit be amongst you . And just remind yourself Psalm 34 , verse 17 and 18 . The Lord is close to the brokenhearted , wherever you are . Never give up , whatever your life looks like . Never give up . Keep walking by faith . Hold on to the scripture .
