Speaker 1Without further ado , let's dive into today and let's divulge and explore and discover the power of God's unshakable truth . We're going to turn to the Old Testament , the last book before the beautiful Gospels of
Matthew , mark , luke and John , and we're going to go to that book of Malachi . I don't know what you think about this text , but sometimes it gets pushed under the carpet and I've got to be honest with you , it's a difficult one for me to talk about . It's talking about bringing the whole tithe into the storehouse . Malachi , chapter three , verse 10 . The title of today's devotional is trusting God with your finances . Wow , lord , I've got to be honest with you , jesus , I've got to be honest with you , god , lord , I haven't got enough . And I mean that Lord , and you see , that Lord , and I feel that I let the Lord down so many times , especially in this area . I'm not faithful in money . What do you mean , pastor , ben , not faithful ? I get scared , I get worried about putting food on the table , paying the electric and the gas in this ministry , keeping the building moving , keeping the church moving .
Speaker 1If you see where we were situated , we're in a really hard area social housing , lots of social housing , nothing wrong with that . I live in social housing , I've always lived in social housing . Lots of social housing , nothing wrong with that . I live in social housing , I've always lived in social housing . But where we are , where we are situated , this is the beautiful little church we got right in the thick of everything that's going on . You know , we're not on a high street , we are tucked away around the back streets , not far from London . We're not far outside of London , we're pushing into Kent and this is critical . For you to get this , that this is a difficult place to minister . This is a hard area , but the Spirit of God is with us and we've got this tiny little studio that God has given us . A miracle . Speaker 1But when you read about Malachi 3 , you know Malachi 3 , you know Malachi , chapter 3 , verse 10 , I want to , I want to , I want to bring this to you today because this is for me , this really is for me . I need to trust the Lord more
and I'm going to commit . I'm going to commit so much more to God , and what I mean by that is , lord . I'm not going to try and hold on to the money and worry about the phone bill that's got to be paid today . I'm not going to worry about the electric that's got to be paid today , lord . I'm not going to worry about the petrol , the diesel in the vehicle . I'm not going to worry about how the food project I've got to support this food project here , I can't the clothing project , this radio ministry you know know , the radio ministry runs out of this little studio . We are in the church , the studio is in the church and we are in elim elim .
Speaker 1You might be familiar with that elimentecostal movement . I've been a minister now for 31 years within this movement and it's tough . I'm not talking about the movement is tough , I'm talking about life is tough . You know that we're on the front line . Ministry is tough , living is tough . So I'm learning a lot from this . So I'm pretty familiar with this scripture , but I've got to be honest with you , brother and sister . It scares me . Does it scare you ? And I'm not frightened to admit that across the airways . You know verse 10 of Malachi , chapter 3 , bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be enough food in my house . Test me in this . This is an area where God is telling us . Test me . This is really speaking to me .
Speaker 1I'm telling you now , sister and brother , wherever you are , through this daily devotional , you know , through this daily Christian devotional podcast time together , these 15 minutes a day . This is raw , this is straight out the back . I'm recording these and we are putting these out straight away . So this is that we have committed . We have committed ourselves . You know , we love you and we want to encourage you because this is real life , real , daily , devotional stuff . This is not made up in a massive media ministry . This is just in our small studio . God has blessed us . We have worked hard and we work hard , just like you work hard , and we want to let you know that .
Speaker 1Never give up in your dream . That's another really important thing . However , you're capturing my voice today . I want to let you know that this ministry is not a global money-making machine . We do this by literally faith . That's why we just stretch out with just three pound , because we understand For us as well . We just live normal lives . Normal lives , you know , in normal situations . So this really speaks to me . This is really speaking to me today .
Speaker 1I need to hear this for myself . Test me in this . The lord says , the lord almighty , and see that I will not open up the floodgates of heaven and pour out such a blessing that you will not have enough
room for it . Let me read that through one more time . Right ? This is malachi , chapter 3 , verse 10 bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that you may be . Uh , have enough food in that house . Test me in this , says the lord almighty , and see that if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out such a blessing that you will not have enough room for that , lord , that that is massive , jesus , lord , why have I missed this , lord ? Why have I not brought everything to the storehouse ? Why have I kept a bit back in my back pocket , lord , why do I do this , lord ? Why , lord ? Why ? Because I'm scared . Jesus , that's the fact of the matter . I'm scared and , lord , you know that I don't lose my faith .
Speaker 1Lord , you know that , as we share these real-life , daily devotions , we know , god , god , that you're going to strengthen us . So , brothers and sisters , should we pray together ? Should we pray that God is going to do exactly as his scripture says ? Now I've got a little smile on my face because God is going to do what he said . But what does he mean ? Bring the whole tithe , bring the whole thing , bring your offering . What is your offering ? You know when , you know when you , when you support us just three pound a month , I know that three pound is enormous to so many of us . To me , three , honestly , three pound at today , sitting here in this studio , three pound is massive . It really , really is to commit that .
Speaker 1When you see our lives , if you see our lives , you know we haven't got jets and helicopters and all that sort of stuff , the other . You know what I'm saying , brother and sister , and I'm not being flippant or anything like that . You know we just live ordinary lives , living right in the thick of life , trusting God for a pound . We trust God for
every pound that God will keep the electric on . Do you know what ? I'm going to let you into a little secret .
Speaker 1As you know , I've been in this for 30 , 31 years . I get frightened of the winter . Why are you frightened of the winter ? Because we got to put the heating on in the church . That's the fact of the matter . Once we flick the heating on , it's the same in the house . We flick the heating on , it's the same in the house , it's the same . You know what it's like as soon as we flick the heating on , we've got to find more money .
Speaker 1Come on , come on , ben , come on , sister and brother , wherever you are , let's bring everything to god . And what do you basically mean ? Let's bring our hearts , let's commit . You know , supporting israel is really , really important , by the way , support israel . So , through this daily devotion , through this time , you know , find yourself a ministry that's in israel and support them . Father , in the name of Jesus , we're being raw , we're being open and we're being honest through this daily devotional encouragement . So today , lord , I pray , lord , for my own heart , that , lord , I will have more faith in bringing the whole tithe to the storehouse . Yes , lord , I'm a pastor . Yes , lord , I'm a chaplain . Yes , lord , I'm a reverend . I hear you , lord , lord , you know I haven't lost my faith . It's .
Speaker 1But , lord , sometimes fear gets stronger than my faith . So today , lord , I'm open and I'm honest , and I thank you , lord , for the scripture today , because that scripture , lord , has opened my heart to come back and trust you even more . So , lord , I bring my offering to you today . I bring my heart , I bring my mind , I bring my body , I bring my soul . And , father , I thank you for Malachi 3 , verse 10 . I bring my whole tithe to the storehouse that there may be food in the house .
Speaker 1I'm testing you , god , because that's what you tell me . I'm testing Jehovah Jireh , I'm testing Jehovah Nissi . I'm testing you , god , because , lord , I'm quite frightened . I'm quite frightened , lord , when the winter's going to come and I've got to put the heating on indoors and I've got to put the heating on in this church , and I'm scared . God , lord , the increase . But , lord , I'm not going to be scared anymore . I'm not going to allow this to do this to me . So , lord , through this devotion today , as we lock shields of faith , I'm not going to be scared anymore . I'm not going to allow this to do this to me .
Speaker 1So , lord , through this devotion today , as we lock shields of faith , I'm going to test you . I'm going to test you because the Lord says the Almighty and you tell us , god , through Malachi 3.10 , see that if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have enough room for that . Lord , how comes I keep leaving these scriptures like this , lord , what is it through this prayer time ? Help me , lord , remind me of that text daily . Bring it to the house , ben , bring it to the house , test me and say , lord , I'm testing you . Today , I'm gonna turn this around . Today , god , I'm gonna turn this around and , father , I thank you . I love you , god , and I pray today that the Holy Spirit will move in such a way that there will be a refreshing move of God in our lives . So , lord , I thank you for financial breakthrough . I thank you that your word is true and I bring everything to the storehouse my heart , my worries , my fears . I bring everything , my whole
tithe , everything . I bring everything , my whole tithe , everything . I bring it to you today , god , and help me to understand what it also means . So , father , bless my brothers and sisters .
