Speaker 0The title of this prayer time together is Pray for Compassion , and we're coming from the New Testament , from the book of Colossians , chapter 3 , verse 12 . And the scripture reads like this Therefore , as God's chosen people , holy and beloved , and close yourself with compassion , kindness , humility , gentleness and patience
. Dear God and Heavenly Father , as we are in this prayer time together , just for five minutes , we pray , lord , that you will stir us and you will lead us , father . As we pray , lord , across the world , we thank you and we invite our brothers and sisters , lord , on the other side of the globe , the Lord that you will touch their hearts , their minds , their bodies , their soul , whatever their time zone is , wherever they are at this moment in time . Lord , we thank you for them . Thank you , father , for their lives , their families , their situations in all things . But , dear God , we pray right now for compassion , lord , that we will have compassion , that we will feel compassion , that we will understand what compassion actually means at this day . So , lord , clothe me daily with compassion so that I may reflect your heart in my words and my actions . Lord , my words and my actions are critical , lord , I need your love , your understanding pressed onto the tablet of my heart . So , father , clothe me daily with compassion so that I reflect your heart , the Father's heart . Lord , I want the world to see that I have compassion , that I give compassion , that I am patient , that I am gentle , that I am humility and I am kindness and I am compassion . Lord , I ask you today that we will be clothed , lord , that you will clothe us in righteousness .
Speaker 0Spirit of the living God , teach us , teach us today , wherever we are . Teach me to see others , lord , in the eyes of Christ , through the eyes of Jesus . Help me to value their worth and their dignity . Help me , lord , not to look at eyes of judgmental vision , lord , but to look with eyes of compassion . So , spirit of the Living God , will you teach me to see others through the eyes of Jesus ? Lord , we rest in you today .
Speaker 0Remove any hardship , any selfishness from my heart , replacing it with gentle and absolutely completely enmity and complete , genuine , heart-filled
grace , spirit of the living God . Help me to be patient with those who frustrate me and challenge me in my life . Help me to be compassionate . Help me , dear to let your word flow through me like rivers of living water . Lord , will you stir us and carry us , lord , will you remove any hardness or selfishness from my heart , replacing it , lord , with gentleness and complete kindness ?
Speaker 0In the name of Jesus , father , we love you and we bless you . Help me , lord , to be patient in every situation . Remove the frustration and the challenge that I have . Remind me to speak life and encouragement even in tense situations . So , father , take the tenseness away from me , lord , take the fear away . Help me , lord , to speak life and encouragement even when it looks awkward , even when it looks really harduous .
Speaker 0Spirit of the living God , empower me to respond to the needs around me without hesitating . But , lord , I thank you today . Fill my home , my workplace , my community with the presence of the Holy Spirit , the compassion spirit . Lord , we love you and we bless you . Lord , let my life be a living testimony to Jesus Christ's compassion on the cross of Calvary .
