thank you for joining us today on our daily communion at home with myself , reverend ben cooper , wherever you are across this world . If you can consider supporting this ministry on rbchristianradionet , can you please buy us a coffee ? And also can you leave us a review , wherever you are across the world . Today we are going to break bread together . We're going to have communion at home on this daily devotional time with myself , reverend Ben Cooper , as we broadcast live from London , england . This is a sacred moment and we invite each and every one of you to draw closer to Jesus Christ through the breaking of bread and sharing of the cup , grounded in our faith in this timeless promise from the Word of God . And the scripture that we are coming from is Luke 22 , verse 19 . This
is my body , which is given for you . Do this in remembrance of me . You know , wherever you are at this moment in time , when was the last time that you broke bread together ? When was the last time you was in church and you was able to take at a cup and to break bread ? Does your church break bread ? Do you take at a cup ? You know we don't need to be in the four walls , we can be anywhere , and I want to remind you right now that the living god is over you and we want to just renew this covenant . We want to come and walk with the king of kings and the lord of lords . Shall we break bread together today ? You know , just grab yourself a bit of bread , a bit of grape juice , a bit of wine , wherever you are . It is a simple thing to do . There are loads of scriptures that we could read from . You know , thanksgiving for the body and the blood of the Lord Jesus . You can take that from 1 Corinthians , chapter 11 , verses 24 and 25 . So many scriptures reflect what we are doing . Let's just quickly remind ourselves and come to a bit of an understanding that this breaking of bread and taking of the cup is not a religious activity . But it has come from the Old Testament , from the great book of Exodus , exodus , chapter 12 . So , wherever you are , grab yourself a Bible , have a quick read when you get a moment .
Speaker 1Yes , I know we're in a quick-fired 15 minutes together in this devotional time , you know recorded here live , as we're broadcasting in London , england . We welcome you to the communion table . We welcome you to the Passover table , because that's what we are celebrating the Passover . Jesus Christ is the Passover lamb , he is the King of kings and the Lord of lords . He is the coming King and he , lord of Lords , he is the coming King and he is preparing you , he is preparing me , he's preparing the bride of Christ .
Speaker 1And wherever you are , I've got to keep emphasizing this , I've got to keep saying this it's time that we break bread together and we just pray . Should we just pray a moment and just come before the cross of Calvary what your life looks like today , wherever you are , in the mighty name of the Father , the Son , the Holy Spirit . You know I love this scripture that I'm about to say All have sinned and fallen short of thy glory . There is no one righteous , there is not one of us that is righteous . There is no one on this earth that is right , standing with God and is able to take the bread and the wine . You know we are not worthy , but because of him he makes us worthy , because the Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of thy glory . Every one of us are sinners saved by grace . No one is greater than anybody else .
Speaker 1So , wherever you are , just get yourself a bit of bread , grab yourself a bit of wine juice , a bit of grape juice . You know , just a simple bit of bread and a little bit of wine or a bit of grape juice . We want to invite you now into a bit of time of prayer together , as we just get ourselves ready In four or five minutes time , something like like that . We'll just do this . But come on , let's pray together as brothers and sisters , just in this raw , authentic recording . You know , as we gather around the passover table . You know you can do this at school , you can do this at work , you can do it at home . You don't need to be in the four walls of the church . It's not a religious activity . It comes from the beautiful Old Testament , from the book of Exodus , chapter 12 .
Speaker 1As I mentioned , god gives us instruction . It is important for me to understand that this is not religion . This is freedom . You will know the truth and the truth will set you free . So , in this time of scripture-based prayer and faith , time of renewal and worship together , let's come to the table
.
Speaker 1Father , I thank you . I come to the throne of grace with boldness today and I lay everything down at the cross of Calvary . I lay my life down , I lay everything around me down and , lord , as I have fouled and I've stumbled and I have slid and made a mess of life . I want to thank you , father , that you don't look at my sin , you look at my heart . You don't look at our life , you look at our heart . And , lord , as the cross was there , lord , as Jesus Christ was hanging on the cross of Calvary , and as you had those two feats and cutthroats to the left and to the right , lord , I'm reminded of what one of the feats said will you remember me when you come into your kingdom ? And Jesus said within a twinkling of an eye , you'll be with me in paradise ?
Speaker 1That faith didn't do a course . He wasn't baptized , he didn't go to church , he didn't do any understanding as we know in the world of church . He didn't go to a cathedral , he didn't do any prayer meetings , he wasn't under a preacher , he wasn't under a theologian , he wasn't caught on the street corner with a great evangelist . He literally was on the cross . Come on . This is making me juggle the more I think about this . You know this is powerful . This is powerful .
Speaker 1You know , let's gather around the table together , wherever you are now , in the name of Jesus . You know there is power in the blood of Jesus . As God , through Christ , said , within a twinkling of an eye you will be with me in paradise . You know that twinkle , that moment , that glimmer , that time of hope . Let's gather for prayer wherever you are right now , in the most beautiful name in heaven and earth .
Speaker 1God is with you . There is power in the name of Jesus . He is worthy of all praise . The love of God is with you . There is power in the name of Jesus . He is worthy of all praise . The love of God is over your life . The spirit of the living God is with you . God is with you . Yes , god is with you . You're at work and God is with you . You're on the golf course and God is with you . You're hoovering and God is with you . You're cutting the grass and God is with you . Wherever you are , god is with you . Whatever life looks like , god is with you . You're cutting the grass and God is with you . Wherever you are , god is with you . Whatever life looks like , god is with you . He's not going to let you go . Do you realize ? Today you might feel a little bit unstable , a bit uncertain in your feet , not sure of yourself , but God is with you .
Speaker 1Let's not live our lives by our emotions . Let's not live our lives by our emotions . Let's not live our lives by our feelings . Let's live our lives by faith . And as we come to prayer right now , let's pray before we break bread .
Speaker 1Spirit of the living god . Lord , your body was broken for me . I am a sinner , saved by grace and , lord , I don't deserve your mercy . I don't deserve your mercy . I don't deserve your unfailing grace , your unconditional love , your unshakable presence . Spirit of the living God , we worship you and we adore you . We lift up the most beautiful name in heaven and earth . And Lord , through this podcast , this series of unshakable daily Christian devot , devotional time , lord , we come to you as brothers and sisters across the world . Lord , in this quiet moment of worship , lord , will you allow our hearts to receive peace and the presence of christ ? Lord , I'm reminded , lord , of psalm 34 , verse 8 . Taste and see that the Lord is good . Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him .
Speaker 1Lord , this spiritual journey that we're on , lord , we understand , lord , that this bread that we have in our hands symbolizes the body of Christ . And as we break bread together now , lord , I thank you that your body was broken . Lord , I thank you for the garden of Gethsemane . I thank you , father , was broken . Lord , I thank you for the garden of gethsemane . I thank you , father , for the olive grove . I thank you that jesus christ stuck to the plan , that he didn't move . He , he was steadfast to the plan of redemption and I thank you that we are redeemed . And right now , lord , we thank you for the power of redemption and we come to you now , father , spirit of the living God , as we break this bread together , just this crust of bread , maybe this crust , this cracker that we have . Father , we thank you that . It is the symbolic reasoning behind it .
Speaker 1Lord , we are not religious , we do not belong to religion , we belong to the kingdom . So , right now , in the name of Jesus , bless this bread as I take . In the name of Jesus , bless this bread as I take it . In the name of the Father , the Son , the Holy Spirit . Amen .
You know , wherever you are , we want to encourage you to break bread daily . We want to encourage you to take out a cup daily . We want to encourage you to come to the table , to the Passover table , to gather around the table and remind yourself that this is bread , this is the body of Christ , as John the baptizer said , look , the lamb of God . Do we realize that Christ is the sacrificial lamb , that he is the king of glory ? And let's get ready to take this cup . Let's lift this cup up and , as I always say , this is not any ordinary cup , this is the cup of redemption
. And that wine , that grape juice , it symbolizes the blood of the lamb , the lamb that was slain . Let's proclaim our sins .
Speaker 1Father , will you wash me by the power of your blood and keep my heart pure , as you tell me in 1 John , chapter 1 , verse 7 . Purify my heart , lord . I come to the cross and I need healing . I need restoration , I need to receive healing . Lord , you healed me by the purchasing of the cross of Calvary through the physical , the emotional and the spiritual journey .
Speaker 1Father , as it says in Isaiah , chapter 53 , verse 5 , come , lord , lord Jesus , lord Jesus , lord , god , heavenly Father , lord , as we take this cup now , cleanse us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet , enrich our lives with the blood of Jesus . Lord , I bring my sins to the cross today and I say thank you that I am forgiven . I'm a sinner saved by grace it's not by work so that no one can boast , it's not by work so that no one can boast . I thank you today , because this is the day that the Lord has made . I shall rejoice and be glad and as I take this cup now , will you cleanse me from the crown of my head to the very sole of my feet , in the name of Jesus Christ . Lord , I'm not worthy , but you've made me worthy . So , dear God and heavenly Father , I stretch out to you . I stretch out to you right now , in the name of Jesus , will you , god , bring us to a place of restoration ? Will you bring us to a place of hope ?
Speaker 1Lord , as I take this cup now , as I sit around the Passover table at work at home , I visualize the cross of Calvary . I visualize , lord , visualize the cross of calvary . I visualize , lord , the table of remembrance , the pass over table . Lord , I thank you for this cup that I hold . And will you cleanse me , as I take this cup now , from the crown of my head to the soul of my feet ? Cleanse me , in the name of jesus , through the precious blood of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords . Wash me , wash us by the power of your blood and keep our hearts pure before you . I thank you that the price has been paid in the mighty name of Jesus Christ , amen .
Speaker 1You know , I've got to remind each and every one of us . We don't need to be in a church to do this . We don't need to be in any church setting in a religious place , because the Bible says as often as you gather together in my name , so , wherever you are , as we've broke bread and we've lifted the cup today , there is power in the name of jesus . And just let's remind each other what the bible says in 1 corinthians , chapter 11 , verse 25 this cup is the cup of the new covenant in my blood . Do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me . This is the cup that has been sealed by the Holy Spirit , the promises of forgiveness , the healing , the eternal peace through the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ .
Speaker 1This daily communion prayer is designed for us to keep us seeking and going deeper and getting a greater connection with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords , in the comfort of your home . So , wherever you are today , we thank you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ . You know , the Gospel of Luke , chapter 22 , verse 19 , says this is my body , which has been given for you . Do this in remembrance of me . How profound , how simple is this act .
Speaker 1You know , I've got to say it again we haven't got to be in church , we haven't got to be in the system . It's not about religion , it's about freedom . You know freedom , you will know the truth and the truth will set you free . There is freedom at the Passover
table . There is freedom in the word of god and you have been washed in the blood of jesus .
