Speaker 1The gospel writer of mark , chapter 10 , verse 45 , says for even the Son of man did not come to be served , but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many . Oh Jesus . The title of this prayer is Lord , pray for a humble servanthood . Lord , help me to have a servant heart . Help me to serve the community around me . Help me to look after those that are frail . Help me to make sure , lord , that I am available to serve others . Help me , lord , not to promote my pride and my selfish gain , but , lord , help me . Can you remove pride , self-propulsion and selfish ambition from my life ? Will you help me to serve others joyfully and without expecting any recognition in any way , shape and form ?

Can you help me not to be selfish , to be inward focused , to be arrogant ? Can you help me not to be religious ? Lord , can you help me to put the needs of others before
my own earthly desires ? Let me follow Jesus . Let me follow Jesus , an example of sacrificial love in all relationships .
