May the Holy Spirit lead you , may the Father draw you and may the Lord Jesus Christ take you to a place that you could never ever imagine by yourself . God is with you , but we need rest . So the title of this prayer time is very simple Pray for the Rest and Sabbath . Coming from the Old Testament of the book of Genesis , chapter 2 , verse 3 . Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he had rest from all the work he created and everything that he had done . Father , in the name of jesus , will you help us rest ? Will you help us , father , to lay work down , educational down , lord , help us to lay study time down . Help us to lay study time down . Help us to lay , lord , the hard things of life . Help us to rest . I pray , father , that for every one of us , lord , that we will lay so much stuff down at the cross and we will find rest , physical rest and spiritual rest , in the name of the Father , the Son , the Holy Spirit . So , lord , help me value my rest as much as you do , because your word tells me , lord , help me value my rest as much as you do , because your word tells me , lord , that you created the heavens and the earth and on the seventh day you made it holy and you rested . Spirit of the living God . If my God and my King and the Holy Spirit rested on the seventh day , help me , lord , to rest . So , lord , I pray for everybody , lord , that is pressing life so hard .
Speaker 1I pray , lord , teach us to pause and to reflect of your goodness , help every one of us to guard our heart from the guilt that we have when I take time out to rest . So , lord , I'm going to repeat that for myself . Will you remove all the guilt , all the frustration , because when I do stop and rest , help me not to be guilty . Help me , lord , not to get agitated , but help me to enjoy the moment of stillness . Show me how to plan my time so rest is protected . Help me to protect that personal place where I need to rest .
Speaker 1Father , I ask you right now let my rest be a time of worship and renewal . Let my time of rest be a time of gathering , of resting , of being still in the presence of the holy spirit . So , father , remind me that I am more than my work of achievements . Remind me it's not about what I achieve on the earth , because , lord , you tell me , do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy . But , lord , help me . Help me , father , store up treasures in heaven . So , lord , help me not to store up material things . Help me to rest more . Help me , I me to rest more . Help me . I need to trust in you that you will provide everything I need so that I can rest , lord .
Speaker 1So , lord , I pray for my brothers and sisters , the spirit-filled believers , lord , those that listen and commit and pray and support this ministry . I thank you , lord , that you are giving them rest . So , lord , whoever they are , wherever they are , let the power of the love of God give them rest today , lord . Let the God that blessed the heaven and the earth , lord , bless them today . So , father , restore us , restore our body , our mind , our spirit , through the Sabbath'sath day .
