Speaker 1Now , without further ado , let's dive straight into the scripture , and the title of our prayer today is we are praying for guidance and wisdom
. Do you need wisdom ? I need both of these today , and the scripture is coming from james , chapter 1 , verse 5 if you lacks wisdom , you should ask god , who gives generously to all without finding fault . Wow , if you lack wisdom , you should ask god who gives generously without finding fault . Spirit of the living . God , I thank you that you are not finding fault with us . So , lord , where I've fouled you , where I've made mistakes , lord , where I keep slipping and sliding on the ice of life , I thank you , god , that you are not finding fault , that you give generously . So today , lord , the prayer , the prayer of hope and the prayer of faith , is Lord , we need guidance and wisdom . So , lord ,
as we walk through life , as we journey , lord , through life as humanity , as brothers and sisters , as born again , spirit-filled believers , we thank you that we are asking for wisdom today and as we stand strong and as bold as lions , we ask our God , we ask Jehovah , we ask Jehovah Jireh , jehovah Jireh , jehovah Nissi , jehovah Shalom , who gives generously , without finding fault . Lord , we lack wisdom or , lord , I should say , I lack wisdom . So , through this prayer time , lord , I'm lacking wisdom today and I need more godly wisdom to make correct lifestyle choices . I need wisdom , lord , to help me . I need wisdom , lord .
Speaker 1We pray for wisdom for leaders today , in every area of life . We pray for wisdom for parents , for grandparents , for children , lord . We pray , lord , that you'll give us all wisdom as we make decisions , critical decisions in our lives , father . We also pray for pastors . We pray for pastors today and leaders and people , dear God , that you have called into the church , that you have given wisdom today , lord . The church , lord , as we look at the church today , father , really needs the hand of God and we pray for such an outpouring of your spirit . We thank
you for Jesus , we thank you for new seasons of change . We thank you , lord , that you are blessing us in a crisis , that we may be walking through the valley , but today is a great day because , lord , we got guidance . Lord , in the bleakness , in the fear , in the doubt , we got guidance and wisdom , and the fire of God is over us today . So , lord , will you bless us today , will you enrich our lives today , lord , will you let the love of God just rest over us ? Lord , you tell us if anyone lacks wisdom , you should ask God , who gives generously without finding fault . We thank you , lord . Speaker 1We are looking for wisdom , we're looking for strength , we're looking for guidance today , guidance Father , we look across the world , lord , and there is load of guidance . There's lots of guidances out there , lord , but it's not taken us to the cross . There are loads of self-helps , but it's not taken us to the cross . There is loads of guidance out on social media , but it's taken us away from you . So , lord , we need spiritual guidance , we need wisdom and , lord , if we're lacking wisdom , we need to ask God , who gives generously . So today , lord , wisdom . We need to ask God , who gives generously . So today , lord , we need this , this love of you , we need this guidance of you , we need this power from you . Lord , we need the Holy Spirit , we need your word , we need spiritual guidance and we need godly wisdom .
Speaker 1Today , will you give us wisdom as we face trials and testings , as we're in new seasons , as the nations are in crisis , will you help us in the lands in which we live , lord , and to keep our eyes on Jesus ? Lord , it's a difficult time to live , lord , father , it's
hard , jesus , lord . We look at social media , father and Lord , it leads us down the wrong path . We follow the way of the world , lord , not because we want to , but because we are herded . So help us , lord , to get outside of that herding culture and to stand strong . So give us wisdom not to walk with the crowd of life . Give us wisdom not to walk with the world . But , lord , you tell us not to conform to the pattern of the world .
Speaker 1So , lord , give us wisdom not to conform to the pattern of the world , but give us guidance and godly strength in the name of Jesus , lord , we want to follow you , lord , we want to walk with you . We need you in our lives . So , lord , we are praying for godly wisdom and we are praying for guidance , and we thank you that through these , lord , there is hope and there is power , and there is mercy , and there is goodness and there is favor . Spirit of the living God , we thank you for the book of James , chapter 1 , verse 5 . If any of you lacks wisdom , you should ask God , who gives generously without finding fault .
