Do you know what I think is really , really difficult ? It's making sense of suffering . That is the title of our quick-fired prayer . You know , making sense of suffering . We're coming out of the New Testament . We're coming from Romans , chapter 8 , verse 18 . Our present suffering are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us .
Speaker 0Spirit of the living God , will you help my brain , will you help my mind , lord ? I need you to reveal revelational knowledge to me , lord how to make sense in suffering . So , lord , I need strength in suffering . I need comfort during the trials of life . My head is all over
the place . I don't get it . God , lord , you know I love you , lord , you know that we love you . You know , father , we're , we're hungry for you , father , but , lord , I can't , we can't make sense of suffering . Will you help us , lord ? Will you bring us to a place , lord , will you deal with my heart , lord , will you help me to understand , father , lord , I need peace in hard times , understanding the suffering . What is the purpose , father Lord ? What is the purpose of me picking up my cross ? What is the purpose of all this suffering , lord ? I think I get it slightly , lord , but , lord , I need it revealed . I need it revealed , lord . I need strength in suffering , comfort during difficult trials . I need peace in hard times , lord . I need to understand suffering . Lord , I'm praying for hope when this feels unfair . Sometimes , jesus , life feels really unfair and , lord , it feels like Lord , we are dealt with a hand of cards that is really rough and wrong . Can you help me , lord , to understand this ? Lord ? Will you bring this to my mind ? Will you help me to understand Lord ? I know what you say in the scripture , jesus . I know , father Lord , that in the last days , we get that . Father , lord , we understand what you said about as I was persecuted , so will we be persecuted . But , lord , help me understand it , father , because I've got to be honest , jesus , today I need an easy ride Today , lord . I need an easy run Today , lord . I just want to sow through today .
Speaker 0Lord , I don't want to face the trials at work . I don't want to face the trials at school . I don't want to face the trials in family , in life , in church , in ministry . Lord , I don't want to face the trials , lord , I want an easy day . Help me , jesus . Give me strength in suffering , Comfort me during trials , give me peace in hard time . Help me understand the purpose of suffering , lord , help me Fill me with hope when life feels really unfair . Help me , lord , to have faith during
pain .
Speaker 0Healing . Healing Lord from deep loss . Healing Father . Help me understand this . Help me make sense of suffering in deep loss . Healing Father , help me understand this . Help me make sense of suffering in deep loss , of pure heart pain . Lord , when I feel my chest aching . Lord , with fear and doubt , help me understand , because I can't .
Speaker 0Jesus , I need it to be revealed . So , lord , I pray , lord , that the fire of God will descend on me . Lord , I pray for those that need peace while they're grieving . Lord , I pray , lord , people will endure suffering with hope . I pray Lord as we endure this life .
Speaker 0Father , it is a trial , father , it is like jumping into the arena with an athlete of a boxer , lord , it just feels like , lord , we're getting punched from this way , that way , the left , the right , the front and the back , and , lord , it feels like I'm going to hit the ropes any moment . Jesus , and I need you , lord , I need stability because , lord , I can't make sense of it . God , even though , lord , I've been a believer , even though I'm a preacher and a teacher and a podcaster and author , and all that , god , even though we're Christians , lord , it's difficult to understand Jesus . Please , god , help us , father , lord , you tell us , lord , our present suffering are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us . Lord , reveal it , lord , reveal this .
Speaker 0Romans 8 , 18 . Reveal your word , god , because , lord , I've had enough and we need help . Jesus , come , lord , we love you and we bless . Help jesus , come , lord , we love you and we bless you . Father , you are sovereign , you are king , you are the great I am , but , lord , we've had enough . We want freedom , lord , we want healing , we want peace , lord , we want financial breakthrough . We want , lord , to see , lord , the light at that end of that tunnel , lord , as we go through the valley of the shadow of death . Strengthen us . We pray , holy Spirit . Anoint my brothers and sisters across the world . We've been praying through Romans 8 , verse 18 . Our present suffering are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us . Holy Spirit , as we close this prayer time , bless my brothers and sisters on the other side
