Speaker 0Now , without further ado , let's dive straight into prayer , because I need prayer today . I need prayer at this hour . I need you to walk with me and I'm going to walk with you . And the title is today Hope and Encouragement . Father , in the name of Jesus , this is right . This is really beating my drum today .
Speaker 0In the name of Jesus , father , I thank you for Psalm 42 , verse 11 . Psalm 42 , verse 11 . Why , my soul ? Are you downcast , father ? Lord , I'm not downcast , lord . Lord , I want to rise today . In the name of Jesus , lord , I rise today , lord , I pray that despair will go in the name of Jesus and you will put your hope in God . Lord , I thank you , lord .
Speaker 0Psalm 42 , verse 11 .
Speaker 0Why my soul ? Why are you downcast ? Spirit of the living God , we will not be downcast . In the name of Jesus , father , we will rise on wings as of eagles . We , dear God , shall lift up the hand of God in praise . We will worship you . We're going to praise you in times of despair , in times of hopelessness , in times , dear God , of fear and doubt . We praise the name . My sisters and brothers , in this prayer time , you know , put some worship on and praise God today , because there is freedom in worship . Lord . We pray for hope in hard times . We pray for encouragement today . Wherever my sisters and brothers are , the listeners are across the world . Let encouragement be in their spirit , lord .
Speaker 0I pray that hope , lord , that we will find hope when we are feeling hopeless . I pray , lord , for strength . Lord , when we are feeling discouraged . I pray , lord , for encouragement in our faith . Today , I pray , lord , that hope and encouragement , lord , will just move so powerfully and so beautifully in our lives . Lord , I thank you that you're giving me encouragement when I feel lonely . I pray for that , lord . Even though we're with people , we're around people , we're doing what we do , lord , I still feel lonely . So , lord , will you give me hope and encouragement ? Lord , when we feel lonely , when we feel scared , when we feel abandoned .
Speaker 0Lord , I pray today , lord . I thank you , dear God , in the name of Jesus . Give us peace and hope . Lord , we need hope today , lord . I thank you , dear God , in the name of Jesus . Give us peace and hope , lord , we need hope today , lord .
Speaker 0But , father , as we pray for hope for the future , lord , sometimes , sometimes , lord , we look at our lives now , jesus , and we look around and , lord , we say , lord , what's for us , what's next Jesus , what's next Lord ? Because , lord , I'm living my life by sight and , lord , I've got to live by faith . But I'm finding it difficult , lord , to live by faith because I'm tired and I'm weary . So , lord , will you , dear God , take away this tiredness and , lord , remove the tiredness and remove the fear and remove the discouragement , remove the hopelessness , remove the and , lord , will you give me hope and encouragement ? Lord , I need that encouragement today . Lord , I need that Joshua scripture Never give up , lord . I need that Joshua scripture .
Speaker 0Lord , be bold and be strong . You know , sisters and brothers , let's be bold and be strong today . Whatever the world is beating at your door , do not allow discouragement to come near your tent . Do not at work , at home , in life , in relationships , in schools , in business , in church , in ministry . Do not allow that discouraging person to put you down anymore . Rise this morning , rise this hour , rise at the evening , rise in the morning and stand strong and trust the God of all hope . You are blessed and highly favoured , lord . I thank you that we are blessed and highly favoured , wonderfully and fearfully made and today , lord , we have hope . Lord , you are removing the fear , the doubt , the anxiety and replacing it with hope .
Speaker 0Lord , not only have we got hope , but we've got encouragement . Lord , we are encouraged that the word of God is with us . We are encouraged today that this is a new day . We are encouraged today to see the glory of God and Father . Our soul rests in you , lord , as the scripture says in Psalm 42 , verse 11, .
Speaker 0Why , my soul , are you downcast ? Lord , I'm not going to be downcast , I'm not going to be downtrodden . Lord , I thank you that angels are dispatched at the word of God . And , lord , we thank you for Psalm 91 , because God will command his angels concerning you to lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against the rock . Lord , we thank you that we will not strike our foot against the rock . But , Lord , today we have hope in the word , we have encouragement in the word and we stand strong in the power of the holy spirit . Lord , I ask you in this closing prayer , will you anoint us afresh , please ? God , let us feel the anointing today , let us feel the anointing of God , let us feel the power of God , spirit of the living God , as we prayed through Psalm 42 , verse 11, .
