Speaker 0I need comfort and the scripture that we're in , and we're in the book of Isaiah , still chapter 40 , verse 1 , and I love how it reads so simple , so smooth , so short , but so powerful . Let's pray . The scripture says comfort , comfort , my people says the Lord , spirit of the living God . We pray for comfort in grief today . We pray for comfort in pain today . We pray for comfort in this daily devotion today , lord , as we hear , as we pray together , as we stand together , we pray for , for peace , as we live , as we move . So , father , we thank you for the book of Isaiah , chapter 40 , verse 1 . Comfort , comfort , my people says . Your God , lord , you tell us you're going to give us comfort . You tell us that you're going to comfort us in times of trials . You tell us you're going to comfort us , lord , in the valley of the shadow of death . Lord , you tell us you're going to give us comfort when we're troubled , when we're scared , when we're weary , when we're doubt . Lord , when we're in doubt situations , lord , we need the power of the living God . So today , lord , bring comfort to our lives . Bring comfort to our lives , bring comfort to our mind . Bring comfort , lord , to our house , our lives , our situation . Bring comfort in the mighty name of Jesus . But , lord , we pray for healing . We pray , lord , that we will be healed . Lord , that we will see the goodness of God in the land of the living , that we will feel the fire of God and the presence of God and the beauty of God .
Speaker 0So today , lord , wherever we are commuting across the world , Lord , whatever corridor we're walking down , lord , I thank you that . As we walk in school , we're comforted . As we walk , lord , at home , we're comforted . When we're not well at home , when we're in hospices , when we're on sickbeds , lord , there will be comfort in our lives . When we're walking down the corridor of commuting , traveling , migrating across the world . There is comfort with us because the Holy Spirit is leading us and , father , we thank you that the Holy Spirit is our comforter .
Speaker 0So , right now , lord , fill us to the full measure , so our cup runneth over Lord . We need you in our lives , father . We need the Father , the Son , the Holy Spirit . So we pray , lord , that the scriptures of hope and peace will abound in our hearts . Today we pray , lord , for the broken hearted . We pray for those that feel broken , that they will feel repaired and restored . Father , you do restore all the years that the locust has taken .
Speaker 0So , father , we pray for restoration , we pray for hope . Lord , you tell us , through the word of God , that you will comfort your people , lord , that you will bless them , that you will heal their land , lord , that you will make their lives rich through the gospel of hope , spirit of the living God , we need you in our lives today , lord . Our lives look a little bit wayward , our lives look a little bit like a car crash , our lives look a little bit obscured and , father , there are so many plates that we are spinning in life . Our mind has got so many plates we're spinning , lord , we're scared , we're worried , we're not sure . Lord , we're trying to do A , b , c and D and , lord , we're balancing too much . Will you bring comfort to when we're balancing and spinning too many plates in our lives ?
Speaker 0Father , we need you , spirit of the living God , we need you to engage in our lives , practically , physically . We need you to engage . Help us to be wise , to be very , very wise . Men and women , brothers and sisters , young men , young girls , lord , to be wise , to have the wisdom of Solomon , to walk strong , to walk powerful , to walk in comfort , lord , I pray that we won't walk in fear or anxiety . We walk in comfort , we walk in peace , we walk in the joy of the Lord . Bring comfort to our hearts today , bring rest to our mind today , lord , we pray for peace . Peace and comfort , father , it goes together . So we need these two .
Speaker 0You are the God that we serve . You are the Father of Isaac , abraham and Jacob . You are the King of glory . You are worthy of all praise . You are the Holy Spirit , you are the Great . I Am Jehovah Jireh , jehovah Nissi . Lord , move in our lives today .
Speaker 0And Father , father , we thank you for the power of the word of God . We thank you for the scriptures that apply hope and peace to our lives . We thank you that we may have a broken heart , but our hearts are being mended . We may be scared and worried , but there is hope and there is comfort . In the name of Jesus and Father , will you stir us today , lord ? Will you bring the power of the Holy Spirit so our cup runneth over today ? We thank you for the power of Isaiah 40 , verse 1 . We thank you that there is comfort , comfort . My people says your God , father . We thank you for today . And , lord , we pray that you will fill us with the richness of the word of God . We pray that you will fill us with the glory , the power , the anointing that this will be breakthrough day that we walk in comfort in the mighty name of Jesus Christ , amen .
