Speaker 1We're in the gospel of john . We're in John 8 , verse 12 . What a beautiful text to start the hour . Wherever you are , come on sisters . Come on brothers , let's pray . John 8 , 12, .
Speaker 1Light in the darkness . When Jesus spoke again to the people , he said I am the light of the world . Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have light for eternity . Father , in the name of Jesus , we carry light . Father , we thank you that God said at the beginning of time let there be light and there was Spirit of the living God . We thank you for John 8 , 12 . Father , we thank you that Jesus spoke to the people and he said I am the light of the world . Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness . Lord , with Jesus , follow us , spirit of the living God , we follow you , jesus . Lord , we are hungry for you , jesus . We're thirsty for you , lord . We want more of you , god . We want more of our Christ , we want more of our King , lord . We thank you for John 8 to 12 .
Speaker 1We are praying for the light , lord , in the darkness , that we will shine . We pray that our light will shine at work , at home , in relationships , in every situation . Lord , we pray that our light will shine in the name of Jesus . We pray that the fire of God will stir us , lord , and we will , dear God , take the light of the world . We will take Jesus into the dark places of life . So , father , we thank you that you are the King above all kings , you are the glorious God .
Speaker 1And today , whatever our time zone is , wherever we are around the world , we thank you that Jesus is a light in the spiritual darkness . You're our guide , you're our direction . You are the King . You are worthy of all praise . And today we thank you , lord , as we pray for the globe , as we pray for guidance in life , we pray , lord , that we will be that light , we will let our light shine , that we will not let that light be hidden . So , lord , we thank you that Jesus Christ is the light of the world , and greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world . So , father , we thank you that we are light carriers , we are light bearers , and when we go to school , when we go to work , when we go to life , when we live and we do what we do as Bible believing believers , we thank you that we carry the light of the world because Jesus is living in us . Today , father , we thank you that Christ is living within us .
Speaker 1So , lord , in difficult Lord , in gray times , in dark times , we thank you that the light of God shines . We thank you as we pray through difficult times . Today , we thank you as we overcome spiritual darkness . In the name of Jesus , father , we thank you for scripture-based prayers . In the name of Jesus , we thank you for the power of God . We bring Lord , we bring Lord , god . We bring hope , we bring it , we bring it . We bring hope today , in the name of Jesus into them . Dark situations , lord , yes , we bring hope , lord , into school , into work , into life , into families . Lord , we bring it because we walk and as we walk we bring it . It naturally comes because the living God is living inside of us .
Speaker 1The Father , today , through this devotional prayer time , spirit of the living God , we thank you that the fire of God is over us , that the power of the Holy Spirit is in us , that the glory of God is around us . Father , will you strengthen us , will you lead us , will you take us in paths of righteousness ? For thy name's sake , lord , we pray for an outbreak of the Holy Spirit . We pray for the love of God . We pray for your mercy . We pray for your mercy , we pray for your goodness , but , lord , we believe in the word of God . We thank you , lord , for John 8 , 12 .
Speaker 1Jesus said I am the light of the world . Oh my God , hallelujah . There is hope today . There are miracles today , there is blessing today , lord , I thank you , jesus , that whoever carries light , whoever follows Jesus Christ today , we thank you that , as we follow you , as we walk with you , as we stand with you , Lord , we thank you that the righteousness of God is over us . We thank you that the power of God is in us , that the spirit of the living God is over our lives . And , lord , we pray today as we walk in faith in God's light . We walk in the light of the word of God . We walk , father , wherever we go . Darkness cannot affect us , fear cannot get us . We thank you for the light of the world , spirit of the living God . We pray for major breakthrough today . We pray , lord , as we go into areas of life . Today , father , we thank you that the spirit of the Lord is over us , that we are anointed , that we are blessed , that we carry Jesus Christ and we carry Christ . We carry God , the Holy Spirit . We carry the light of the world .
Speaker 1And Jesus said in the Gospel of John , chapter 8 , verse 12, . When Jesus spoke to the people , he said I am the light of the world . Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life . You have the light of life . Wherever you are at this hour , the spirit of the living God is over you and in you .
