This is our time where we gather for five minutes , these quick commuter prayers , these quick five minutes . You know , as we press through in prayer , wherever you are today , may the spirit of god be over you as we encourage each other , as we find peace , as we look for biblical truth in every situation . We are turning to Psalm 46 , verse 1 . We are turning to Psalm 46 , verse 1 , and it is this God is our refuge and our strength . I love this scripture . I don't know about you , wherever you are .
Speaker 1Psalm 46 , verse 1 says for he is god , is our refuge and strength and ever help in time of trouble . His presence is with you . I want to encourage you today on the other side of this mic . I want to encourage you today with every area of life that we have so many plates we are spinning in our lives , we are trying to balance so many things . May the spirit of the living God encourage you today . May the power of God's word as we gather for prayer Come on , let's get straight in the . God is our refuge and strength and ever present help in trouble . Lord , as I search you , as I seek you , as I long for you . Lord , I thank you that we got peace in troubled times and , as the psalmist writes , lord , I thank you that God is our refuge . You are our daily refuge , every second , every millisecond , every moment , every hour , every moment of our lives . You are with us , lord , in a world that is shaken by wars , disasters , personal storms .
Speaker 1This scripture , god , it grips us today . Lord , for those that are going through a personal storm , will you strengthen them in the name of Jesus . For those that are going through fear , strengthen them in the name of Jesus . Lord , will you help us to take courage in fearful moments ? Lord , anxiety is so high , doubt is so high , self-worthlessness is so high . Lord , we have lost our identity . Lord , help us to find the courage and to look in the mirror of life and say God has created me , I'm blessed and highly favoured . And today I take courage and I take refuge in my God . I will find strength in his word when I am weak . I will find peace in chaos . I will trust in God's presence in my life . I ask you , god , that faith will arise in uncertain times .
Speaker 1Lord , as I look at global unrest . That scares me , lord , that scares me . But through this prayer time , lord , as I watch these disasters that are happening around the world , lord , we pray for that disaster that is happening . Yesterday , father , we pray , lord , for that land , afghanistan , where they had that major , terrible disaster . We pray that there will be peace , lord , and we pray , father , for those that are in war-torn countries . We pray , lord , for those that are going through hardship . We pray for rest in God's refuge . Today , lord , that we will pray for the nations around the world . We pray for these disasters that are happening , we pray for these war zones that are happening . But we will find courage , we will find hope in the name of Jesus Christ .
Speaker 1And as we pray through , as we look for this daily devotional reflection time , through prayer today , through Psalms 46 , verse one , I thank you that this Psalm today is about refuge when the world is shaken , god , by wars , when the world is shaken , dear God , by disasters , when we are shaken by personal storms , lord , I thank you that this scripture declares God's ever-present help in trouble . I thank you that you never leave us nor forsake us . I thank you , lord , that we will find strength in weakness . We will find peace in chaos . Lord , we will find hope in doubt . In the name of Jesus , you are our fortress . We are unshakable . Because you are unshakable , lord , you are a refuge that is unbroken . Lord , it can never be broken , lord . So we find refuge in you . Today , we come and we sit in the presence of God , whether at work , whether at home , wherever we are .
Speaker 1Lord , we thank you for Psalm 46 , verse 1 . God is our refuge and strength . We declare that word and we speak that simple line over our lives . God , you are our refuge , you are our strength and ever-present help in trouble . Whatever we are us , each and every one of us are going through . Today , you are the very present help in trouble , in personal storms , in workplace issues , in crises around the world , in our lives . Lord , you are very present . Lord , you are omnipresent , you are omnipotent . You are the God that healeth thee . And today , let there be healing in our bones . Let us stand strong wherever we are across the world .

I thank you for the book of the living word of God to strengthen us today , as the psalmist write , as the psalm clearly tells us in Psalm 46 , verse 1 , god is our refuge and strength and ever help in trouble . Help us , carry us , anoint us , refresh us . Oh god , we love you , jesus . We thank you for the book .
