Speaker 1As we get into quick guns of prayer , we're going to jump straight in and what we are looking at today is the Gospel of John , chapter 8 , verse 12 . And it says Jesus is the light of the world . Let me tell you what it says in John 8 , 12 . When Jesus spoke to them again , to the people , he said I am the light of the world . Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have eternal light . Father , in the name of Jesus , I need eternal light , lord . I need you to flick that light on in my spirit , lord , I need to glow today , lord , I need to be lit up by the word of God . So , wherever we are , if we're walking through the valley of darkness , lord , help us to light up . Lord , you tell us , lord , through the Old Testament , through Psalms 119 , 105 , your word is a lamp unto my feet , a light for my path , lord . You tell us in Genesis , chapter 1 , verse 3 , and God said let there be light . So , lord , help us to let our light shine . You tell us that you are the light of the world . Jesus Christ , you are the savior of the world , you are the king of kings , you are the Lord of lords . And right now , lord , will you help us to let our light shine ? Will you help us to walk in the spirit of God ? Will you help us to walk , lord , in our daily devotional time with you ? Lord , you are the light of the world and we need your guidance in our lives . We are looking for prayer , we are looking for hope in darkness . Lord , our prayer today is that you will give us courage when we are afraid , lord , when doubt comes in . Lord , we pray that you will remove fear and we will find freedom . We pray that you will remove , dear God , the darkness of this world , lord , that you will remove the things of this world . But , lord , we will let our light shine and we will walk in the promise of God and we will walk in the yes and amen .
Speaker 1Father , we thank you for your word . We thank you for John 8 , 12 . Lord , we thank you that this is one of the most powerful verses in the gospel of John and we pray this through that Jesus Christ is the light of the world and we walk in that light . That light is living within us . That light is greater than darkness . Father , we thank you that there is power in the Word of God and the brothers and sisters , we pray today that we , dear God , will walk in goodness , that we will walk in power . We thank you that there is hope in dark times . We thank you that there is freedom through fear , through our Lord Jesus Christ . We thank you for courage when we walk in God's light . We thank you for truth in a world of lies . We thank you that Jesus Christ is the way , the truth , the life . No one comes to the Father except through me .
Speaker 1Lord , give us clarity when it feels uncertain , lord , when it feels like we're in quicksand , lord , give us certain , lord , footsteps to follow . Lord , help us to find that footstep . Help us to walk on the rock . Help us to walk , Father , on the word of God . Help us to stay in the scripture . Help us , lord , father , when families are under pressure , when people are under pressure . Lord , help us to walk in God's truth , in the light of the word . Lord . You said in Genesis , chapter 1 , verse 3 , and God said let there be light . So , lord , there is power in light . Light is greater than darkness . Lord , give us deliverance from spiritual darkness . Spirit of the living God , we pray for peace in the light of Jesus . We thank you for strength to shine God's light , lord , across the road of life . Lord , help us to make this a life application .
Speaker 1When fear comes , lord , help us to declare that Jesus is my light and I will not walk in darkness . Sister and brother , wherever you are , tell your life , I am not going to walk in darkness . I'm not going to walk in fear . I'm not going to walk in lies . I'm not going to walk by what the world says . I'm going to walk in lies . I'm not going to walk by what the world says . I'm going to walk in the light of my God . Jesus Christ is my life . Jesus Christ is the King . Jesus Christ is the light of the world , he is the bread .
Speaker 1And , father , I pray that you will sustain us when we're walking through the valley of the shadow of death . I pray , lord , that your goodness and your mercy will carry us . But , lord , we ask you right now , when fear arises , we declare that Jesus is my light , that Jesus is my rock . So , father , I thank you that Christ lights up the path . Christ is the way , the truth and the life . But right now , spirit of the living God , help us to find the word of God . Thank you that your word is living within us . Thank you that greatness is over us .
Speaker 1Thank you for the prayer of hope in darkness , the prayer of courage in fear . Lord , spirit of the living God , I pray for those that are listening on all the platforms across the world , that the fire of God will be with them , that the love of Jesus Christ will sustain them , that the power of the Holy Spirit will help them in every area of their life . Spirit of the living God . We pray tonight for breakthrough . Breakthrough in darkness , breakthrough in the valley , because Jesus Christ is my light . Therefore , I will not fail . Father , in the name of Jesus , bless all the listeners today , wherever they are across this world , in the beautiful name of Jesus Christ , amen .
