As we gather around the word for protection , for hope , for encouragement , as we pray through the word of god in these quick gun , these quick fired prayer time , as we just rest , as we look for encouragement , peace and hope through everyday life situation , may the spirit of god be over you and wherever you are . Speaker 0Wherever you are , without further ado , tell yourself anxiety has got to go in the name of Jesus . Tell yourself fear has got to go . I need calm in stress . I need to trust God for my life . God has you , sister and and brother . The fire of god is burning in your belly .
Speaker 0But let's get straight into the book of philippians , 4 , verse 6 and 7 . This is one of those evergreen times , the evergreen scriptures that I say . It is always green . Yes , the word of god is always green and always alive , but there are certain areas that we might dip back to certain scriptures . That is , uh , very apt for the season that we are in , and this is where we are , you know . This is a very powerful text for us here , you know , and you across the world , because we are living in stressful days , anxious times .
Speaker 0But let's get straight in for these quick-fired commuter prayers . Do not be anxious about anything , but but , in every situation , by prayer and petition , with thanksgiving , present your request to God , and the peace of God , which transcends all understanding , will guard your hearts and your mind . In Christ Jesus , father , I thank you for your word . Firstly , I want to say thank you for your word that your word became flesh and you made your dwelling among us and through this prayer time . I need more of the holy spirit today , lord , I want this fear , lord , to go . I want these anxious thoughts about historical events to be laid to rest . Lord , I know that you've nailed them to the cross of calvary , lord . I know , lord , that they , lord , that you can't resurrect all that stuff . But , lord , my mind keeps resurrecting stuff . My mind , father , god , lord , help me to lay my mind down , my thoughts down . You tell me not to be anxious about anything . But in every situation , lord , through everyday life , practical living , through life through church , spiritual , unspiritual , whatever it may look like , help me , lord , as a Bible-believing believer , to bring everything to the cross . I need to leave my baggage , I need to leave my rucksack , I need to leave these cases that I'm carrying around . Lord , I need you to get the scissors and cut the strap off this rucksack because , lord , I can't seem to undo it .
Speaker 0Jesus , it seems to be always on my back , it always seems to be a burden . I always seem to be weighed down with anxiety and worry . But today , lord , I declare freedom through the power of the word of God . I speak this freedom over our lives with thanksgiving . Power of the word of God . I speak this freedom over our lives with thanksgiving , with praise , with petition . I bring my request to the Father , to the Father's heart , and I say yes , lord , and the peace of God , which transcends all understanding , guard your hearts and your mind .
Speaker 0In Christ Jesus , lord , we stand on the rock of all ages . We believe in the power of the word of God . We believe , lord , that there is calm in stressful storms . We believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit . We believe in freedom from worry and fear . We believe , for every one of us that is having restless nights , bad sleep issues , lord , that they are going to be corrected , that we are going to sleep well . We're going to wake up in peace , lord . When we wake up , lord , we don't want to wake up in sweat , in fear , in doubt , in stress and our minds racing . We want to wake up , lord , thinking and praying and feeling blessed , beyond blessed . We want to feel that when we wake up in the morning , there is so much peace in our heart . We wake up restored and refreshed and ready for what comes our way .
Speaker 0Spirit of the living God , give us peace in anxiety and fear . Give us calm in stressful situations . Release us from this pain , this worry , this cycle of life . We want freedom from the worry of the cycle of life . We need rest in sleepless nights . We need to trust in your promises more . Give me courage in uncertain times , clarity in confusion .
Speaker 0Lord , in the confusing way of the path of life . Lord , give me the faith to see you working . Help us , heal us , lord . We pray for healing Lord . We pray for that inner healing . Lord , our legs are working , our arms are working , we're walking , we're moving , we got mobility .
Speaker 0But , lord , inside Jesus , inside Father , inside Holy Spirit , lord , sometimes the anxiety is always there .
Speaker 0Please , god , I pray that joy will abound .
Speaker 0Lord , I pray that joy , despite pressure , despite the fear of the world , despite all the areas of life , we will find peace and joy and I pray today that we will make this a life application that Philippians 4 , verses 6 and 7 , as we present our request to God , as we speak aloud , as we declare with our voice , as we speak this over our lives , spirit of the living God , I pray that you will bless us , pressed down , running over , shaken together , that the fire and the glory will rest on the listeners today and they will feel the love of God and they will find that courage through the word of God .
Speaker 0Father , we thank you and we bless you . May the spirit of the Lord be over you always , sister and brother , may you feel the presence of his holy glory in your life and do not worry .
