Thank you for joining us today on our daily Christian Prayer Podcast. You're joining myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are across the globe, this is being recorded live here in London, England. May the Spirit of God that we serve, may the power of Jesus Christ reveal his glory to you today. You know, as we gather for these quick, fired five-minute times of prayer for renewal, for strength, as we just gather for these quick gun prayers, may the glory of God just draw you. May the Holy Spirit show you and show me how to pray. We are living in times when the world is going crazy. We are living in times when we gotta get out of what the world is doing and we've got to get into prayer and pray through the word of God. It is critical. The prayer is today that me and you, whoever you are, God will teach us to pray with the word of God. However, you are feeling, thank you so much for joining, for walking, for partnering with us. Whatever your name is, may you have a blessed day.
Without further ado, we are going straight in to the book of James. We're gonna go straight into the book of James, chapter 1, verse 5. If any one of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. Lord, I need this today. I need wisdom. Lord, in living life, I need wisdom. Lord, can you give me wisdom? Yes, Lord, I hear you say. Yes, Ben, yes, listener, I will give you wisdom. So Lord, I ask you today, Lord, I search you, I search the courts of glory, I come to the throne of grace. And Lord, I ask you today, as we pray, Lord, as we stand on the gospel of hope, Lord, I thank you that there is power in wisdom. Help me, Lord, to have wisdom in life decisions today. Help me to find God's direction. Lord, we need God's direction in our lives. Father, help us to be wise in lifestyle choices. Help us to be wise as we choose, as we walk through this hour. Lord, whatever is before us, give us wisdom to know how to deal, how to deal with people, how to deal with life, how to deal with work. Father, give us wisdom today, and Lord, give us today our daily bread. We need guidance. So Lord, we thank you for the book of James, chapter 1, verse 5. I thank you that you give us wisdom. And Lord, I am asking God in this quiet moment, and I'm asking you, God, that you will give not just me, but every ear, every human being, every brother, every sister on the other side of my voice, that you will give us and them wisdom for lifestyle choices. Because Lord, without you, everything is a car crash, Lord, and I need you right now. As a Spirit of the Living God, we thank you that there is power in the Word. And we believe
right now, as we lock shields across the world, Lord, as millions of us pray today across the world, we want wisdom. So Lord, I thank you for the power of wisdom. Help us today, Lord, make good lifestyle choices through the word of God as we walk through life itself. Father, I thank you for guidance in decisions. I thank you for wisdom through the book of James, chapter one, verse five. I thank you for the prayer of God's direction. I thank you for clarity in the choices of living today. Lord, give us clarity, Lord, give us that firm foundation. Lord, help us guide us in work and family. Guide us, Lord, in what we say, guide us in what we do, help us with our actions. Lord, help us to treat others as we expect to be treated ourselves. Lord, I pray that we will walk in wisdom in every second, every heartbeat on this earth right now. Help us to have discernment from the Holy Spirit. Lord, help us to be discerning. Help us to be wise in the eyes of God. Help us, dear God, not look to the social media, not live our lives by the WhatsApp group, not live our lives by the by the church group, but to live our lives wisely through the power of God. So Lord, I thank you that wisdom, godly wisdom, comes from God. And Lord, I pray, Lord, for this divine moment as we gather for prayer, as we gather for this daily devotional time, Lord, that we will find and we will get wisdom in the name of Jesus. Lord, I lack wisdom. Lord, I lack wisdom. Lord, sometimes I make silly choices, Lord, and I need you, Lord, to help me. Lord, will you help me to be mature in the word? Will you help me to be wise in the scripture? Lord, help me, dear God, because I need your guidance. You need to guide us, me, you, whoever we are. Lord, so I declare today across the airways, across all the platforms that we are streaming
to, Lord, where we are recording and going out to, Lord, I declare, Lord, help me not to make silly lifestyle choices. I pray, Lord, that we will never make those crazy lifestyle choices again. But Lord, that we will ask the counsel of God, that we will ask for wisdom today, and we will look for your guidance through the word of God, that we will look for guidance through the Bible, through the holy word of God, because you tell us, Lord, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. So today, Lord, we make the word of God a life application, and we say, dear God, across to the world today, Lord, help me to be wise, help me to be guided by your truth. Holy Spirit, I pray for all the listeners today, whether and however they're listening, that they will feel the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, Lord, that they will find comfort through the scripture, that they will make great and beautiful biblical lifestyle choices through the word of God. So come, Holy Spirit, we need your promise, we need your word. Give us guidance, we pray. You are the God above all gods, you are the king above all kings. And I pray for such a blessing on the listeners today that they will feel the power of God, the love of Jesus Christ in their life. Thank you, Lord, that we are watched in the precious crimson tide, the blood of Jesus. But right now, Lord, I thank you for every ear that is listening to my voice. Bless them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet. May the Lord bless you and keep you until tomorrow.
