Thank you for joining us today on our daily Christian prayer podcast. Myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England. Wherever you are, we want to tell you that the Spirit of God is with you. This is our prayer time together, but this is just a bit of an extra podcast prayer time that we're just going to quickly drop in. You know, we send six out every day without foul, but this is a bonus, and I don't like to use that word, but we're just dropping this one out there because we're we're getting a lot of uh vibes and we're getting a lot of stuff come back. How do we pray? You know, it is pretty simple, and I don't mean that in any I don't mean that in a funny way whatsoever. We're in our prayer time, we're still in prayer, so please listen to this all the way through. Share this out because we're gonna take this scripture and we're gonna pray. You know, praying through the word of God is critical. You know, we go to many prayer meetings and it's just noise, but what we've got to do is we've got to have the word of God with us, not on the not on a tablet or a device, we've got to have it in a paperback version, simply because when we've got it on the electronical device, what happens? We get messages, social media, it just it just takes away what we're supposed to be doing. So I would really encourage you to get a Bible, and what I mean by that is get a paperback version, get that traditional paperback version and carry that to the prayer room. Take it with you to church, you know, scrap the phone just for a few hours. It's really important that we get the the written version, you know what I mean, and open up the word. So wherever you are, let's let's do this right now. Let's go to Psalm 5 verse 3. This is a simple psalm, but it tells us what happened. So we got to read the scripture, just take a line at a time, get one line, read it and read it and read it, and then just turn it gently into a prayer. It it really is powerful, it really is powerful. So let's let's take this. We're in our prayer time. My name is Reverend Ben Cooper. We're in the same studio, we're we're doing something slightly different. This is a quick bonus push out, but this is what we do. So get open the Bible, let's go to Psalm 5, verse 3. And this is how we start. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, as I start my day, Lord, I'm gonna read this scripture, and Lord, what I want, I want this scripture to come alive in my spirit. So Lord, as I read this word, Father, I leave this word in my heart. And Lord, I want to meditate on this word. So, Father, I pray for the listeners of myself that this word today, Lord, that we will take this and make this a life application. Teach us how to pray, Lord, in the name of Jesus. So, brother and sister, right? This is what we do. We're in we're in the scripture, we're in the Psalm, we're in Psalm 5, verse 3. You know, let's ask God that He will teach us to pray. You know, take this prayer and use this. And this is what the scripture says in the morning, Lord, you heard my voice. In the morning, I lay my requests before you and wait, and I am expecting. So let's pray that. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, I believe in the morning according to your word. So what we're doing there is we're taking the words of God and we are pushing them back to God. Because that's what the that's what prayer is. Biblical prayer is that. And the scripture says, in the morning. So Lord, I say, Father, I thank you that in the morning, in the morning, Lord, you heard my voice. Lord, I thank you for this morning, because this morning you are hearing my voice in the name of Jesus. So let's just take that again. Let's just go back to the very beginning. And the scripture says, In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice. So what I do is I I I read it, I speak it, but as we read it and we speak it aloud, it is a prayer itself. The prayers of David, these scriptures are so powerful. So we don't need to go to college, you don't need to go to theological college, nothing like that. It is it is easy, it is easy. And if you're embarrassed in praying in a prayer group or anything, I know what that's like. Honestly, I know what that's like to feel like that. I really, really do. I know what it feels like to be intimidated and all that sort of stuff. But let's get back and let's just pray this through. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice, Father. So I pray that in the morning, according to your word, Lord, you hear my voice. So it's like that. That's all we do. So we say, Lord, in the morning, Lord, you hear my voice. And Father, I thank you that you do hear my voice in the name of Jesus. And in the morning, Lord, I lay my request before you and I wait, expecting. See, there's the the second back end of that text. In the morning, I lay my request. What do you mean, Ben? What I simply mean is let's take anxiety because that's a number one drumbeat at the moment, and it always will and it will be. So, Lord, this is what I do. Father, in the morning I bring my request to you, and today, Lord, my request is Lord, that I've got anxious thoughts. And today, Lord, will you, Lord, as I bring these in the morning, Lord, my anxiety, I bring my request before you, and I wait expectantly. Now, the last word is the word expectantly. What do we mean by expectantly? Basically, we believe it. It can be very difficult to believe it because we're living in a world that is very physical and very tangible. But the spiritual world is more tangible actually than this world, you know, because the kingdom of God is everywhere. So the spiritual world is actually bigger than the physical world in front of you. So, what we do is let's go to the very beginning of this and uh let's let's take it from the top again. Lord, in the morning, Lord, hear my voice. Lord, in the morning I lay my request before you, and Father, I wait expecting, and Lord, I'm expecting today at this hour that my anxiety is gonna go in the name of Jesus. So, Father, in the morning, Lord, you hear my voice. Lord, and my voice today, as I lay my request before you, and as I expect an answer, Lord, I lay my anxiety, Lord, I put it out, and Lord, I believe that you're hearing my voice in Jesus' name. My advice to you, brother and sister, to always end your prayer is in the name of Jesus Christ, you know, through the word of God. I pray for you wherever you are. Thank you for joining us today. You know, it is very simple, it is very easy. We we don't want to put anything out there that's really complicated. So I try to get this stuff done. You know, I was born in prayer, you know, I and I've I've gone full circle over through the ministry and everything, you know what it's like. But I just want to encourage you. Let's just finish on this scripture again. So, this is what we do, and anxiety is the word that we're using as an example. Father, in the morning, Lord, you hear my voice. In the morning, I lay my request, and Lord, my request is that my anxiety goes at the name of Jesus. And Lord, I am waiting, expecting a miracle. Father, I thank you that you hear my heart in Jesus' name. Sister and brother, that has just come from the book of Psalm 5, verse 3. And I thank God for your life wherever you are. We will do a few more series very, very soon outside of the the six that we do every day. We'll do some extra ones and we'll just use the word bonus. We'll just drop them in. We'll we'll do Psalm 23 over the next few days, and we'll take Psalm 23 verses 1 through to 6, and we'll take that and we'll pray that through and we'll just talk it through. But as always, may the Spirit of God be over you and never give up, never give in. You know, uh slightly different. This podcast, we're just gonna push this out right now, and the time is we are on Saturday, the 27th of September, and it is 20 uh it is 20 to 1 here in the UK. So I'm just gonna push this out right now, and brother and sister, honestly, now is the time to get into prayer, and prayer is easy, prayer actually is easy. Some people say, Oh, it's hard work, yeah. It can be when when we don't know how and what we do, and I'm not being disrespectful in any way, but just take one verse of the Bible, just take one verse and just speak it, and then go back over it and then drop drop something in it like Lord, help me with my anxiety. Without further ado, thank you for joining us today. May the Lord bless you and keep you until tomorrow.
