Thank you for joining us today on a daily Christian prayer podcast. Myself, Reverend Van Cooper, recorded live here in London, England. Wherever you are today, may the Spirit of the living God be over you. We're
going to jump straight into the Gospel of Matthew and we're going to go to Matthew chapter 6, verse 9. We're looking at the power of the Lord's Prayer. Come on, we're living in times where we've got to pray. We're living in times where we've got to give everything to the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. And I really believe God is calling us to pray.
You know, not in church, not in Erasmus with all the showmanship and all that sort of stuff. God is calling us to pray in the van, on our way to work, on the commute, on the train, on the school run, just running the hoover around the house, washing up at the sink, doing whatever we are doing. God is calling us to pray wherever we are. And we've got to get into the rhythm of prayer. We've got to get a hold of the word of God. But wherever you are, may the spirit of the living God be over you. May the power of God anoint you to carry greatness. Never give up in your vision, never give up in your dreams. There are great things on their way. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. As we record this live here in London, England, for these quick-fired, five-minute time of commuter prayer. Without further ado, we're going straight in to the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 6, verse 9.
And this is what the Bible says our Father in Heaven. It's that simple. Father, in the name of Jesus, you are our Father in heaven. And we come to you right now, as Bible-believing believers. We come to you, Father. Lord, and we just rest in the arms of Jesus. But right now, Lord, teach us to pray. Lord, show us how to pray. Because Lord, we need to pray, Lord. Father, we got to pray, Lord, for significant change. We got to come to you, God. And Lord, we we get down onto the floor right now, into that position, that place, Lord, of worship on the floor. Lord, we bow down in the presence of our God. We bow down in the presence of our King. And Lord, we pray that Jesus, just as Jesus taught his disciples, dear God, your word will teach us to pray. Our Father in heaven. Lord God, we come to you right now. And Lord, we thank you that these words are foundational for our Christian
prayer. As we gather across the world, millions of us are searching the Father's heart, Lord, and we want to hear the heartbeat of heaven. We want to feel the power of God. We want to see the glory, the mercy. Lord, teach us to pray. Our Father, Lord, we pray that this prayer will expand in our heart. Lord, that we will come to the cross of Calvary, that we will lift up the greatest name in heaven and earth. And Father, that there will be an explosion in our spirit. Lord, the call to God today, the call to God is our Father. Lord, we recognize that the relationship that we have with our God is through Jesus Christ at the cross of Calvary. And Lord, we come to the cross. We come to the Saver of the world and we say thank you that the living word is our redeemer. We thank you that the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, we thank you that we are blessed and highly favored, wonderfully and fearfully made. And we come to you, Lord, we thank you that the word of God is our anchor. We thank you that the word of God
is our strength. So Lord, we come to you now in this daily prayer time and we want to expand, Lord, our hearts. We want to expand our prayer life. So we come to the Father in heaven. And Father, we thank you for this gospel teaching. We thank you for this night prayer. We thank you for the power of the gospel of Matthew, chapter six. But right now we rise on wings as of eagles. We stand strong today, wherever we are across the world. May the fire of God, may the power of God. May the Holy Spirit lift you today. And Lord, we want to make this a life application. We want to tell the world that we declare, Lord, to every ear, to every eye, to everyone that comes in our pathway that we are Jesus followers. And we want to make this a life application. We want to declare today that I am a child of God. Tell yourself wherever you are across this world, that you are a child of God. And I pray to my Father in heaven who loves me and He
reigns above all. My God, He reigns above all. The King reigns above all. He loves you. Tell yourself, sister and brother, wherever you are across the world, that the love of God is so powerful, it is so strong. Nothing can separate you from the Father's love. Nothing can separate you from Christ Jesus. You are above and not beneath. You are the head and not the towel. You are blessed and highly favored, wonderfully and fearfully made. And we pray today that the fire of God will descend and the Holy Spirit will rest on you. But you tell the world around you, you tell your work colleagues, you tell your family, you tell those at school in education, you tell the world around you that I am a child of God. And I pray to my Father in heaven, who loves me and reigns over above all. The glory of God is reigning over you. The power of the Holy Spirit is in your life. The God that we serve, the God that sent the one and only Son, his begotten Son, to die on the cross of Calvary. Jesus Christ loves you. You are blessed beyond measure. And today is the day of breakthrough. Today is the day where God is moving powerfully in your life. Today is the day where we call on our Father and we recognize that we have a relationship with the eternal God, that we walk with the great I Am. We walk with El Shaddai, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi. We walk with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We stand on the gospel of hope. And today we declare across the airways that our Father in heaven, we thank you that our Father is in heaven. Lord, I pray for every listener today that you will bless them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet, that they will know that Jesus Christ is the redeeming king. Bless them abundantly. Father, I thank you for everyone right
