Setting The Focus: Daily Bread

SPEAKER_00

Thank you for joining us today on our daily Christian prayer podcast with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England. Wherever you are, may the glory, may the power, may the word of God give us today our daily bread. You know where we are. We're staying in that beautiful book of Matthew, chapter six. We're in verse 11 and we want the bread today, God. We're coming, Lord, to get it. Lord, we want the bread. Because Lord, we're hungry. Lord, you tell us that man doesn't live on bread alone, but by every word that perceives out of the mouth of God. And we want our daily bread because, Lord, the government ain't doing it. Lord, we ain't doing it. The workplace ain't doing it. The pound, the dollar, Lord, the money ain't stretching. Lord, we need bread, Lord, that is not of this earth. We need bread from heaven. Come, Holy Spirit, we need you today in the name of

Jesus. Brother and sister, don't give up in your prayer life. We're about to dive in and we're about to read the scripture in just a few moments. But I honestly believe with all of my heart, since we've started pushing these prayers and we've done, you know, quite a lot at the moment, the numbers are getting quite high, and we keep pushing it. I'm starting to come to the realization that it is prayer. It's not the preaching, it's not the teaching, it's not the worship at the front of the church, it's not the rasmataz in religion, it is the power of prayer. When you're in the van, when you're running the hoover around the house, when you're at school, when you're just walking the dog in the park, when you're in the gym, it's the power of prayer when you're on your own. When you're on your own, just you and the deity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Come on, we're gonna get straight in. But you know what

I'm gonna say? If you can support this ministry, please do so. Prayer is critical. We need your prayers as we pray for each other. May the Spirit of God be with you. Also, if you can just read the show notes, please read those. Also, leave us a review on whatever platform you are on at this moment in time. And also, you know, thank you so much for those that are giving, that are thinking of giving, that are about to give and give, and whatever way you're doing that, but thank you so much. Just three pounds a month goes such a long way. You know, buy us a coffee. We're in, here we go. And today's scripture is coming from that scripture that I've just mentioned earlier, and I've said it twice. We're coming from Matthew 6, verse 11. Give us today our daily bread. Father, we need this bread today. Lord, as we record this live here in London, England, wherever the furthest person is away from me now, Lord, I thank you that we are, dear God, connected by the Spirit, by the Word of God, by the kingdom, wherever they are, Lord, the furthest person people, Lord, away from this studio here, live in London, England, Lord, wherever they are, I thank you that we are connected through the power, dear God, of technology. Lord, and I thank you that you do use technology. But right now, Lord, as we go now, Lord, we want, dear God, this daily bread. Lord,

Honest Needs: Peace, Healing, Provision

we are asking you that you will give us our daily bread from the teachings and the dependency. Lord, we are dependent on the word of God. Father, we are realizing that the government can't do it. We're realizing, Lord, that the workplace can't do it. We're realizing the family can't do it. Lord, I'm realizing that I can't do it. Lord, I need my daily bread. And Lord, whatever that daily bread looks like, Lord, I want it and I need it right now. Yes, Lord, I said I want it. Lord, I want it. Lord, I need peace. I need emotional help. Lord, I need financial gain. Lord, we need help. Lord, give us today our daily bread. Whatever that is, Lord, Father, we are not being super duper church goers. Lord, we're just being real and authentic. Lord, we're just telling you how it is, because we're tired of church. We're fed up, Lord, of lies from pulpits. We want the word of God. We want the power. Lord, we pray, Lord God, that we will cut the umbilical cord between us religion and church, and we will get into that mantle, get into that position, that posture of prayer. Because it is prayer, it is that close relationship, it is that intimacy. Walk with you, Jesus. That's what I need. Lord, I don't need church, I need Jesus. Lord, I don't need another sermon. I need the power of God. Lord, I don't need another latest worship song. I need glory. I need healing. Lord, I need these scars, Lord, to go. I need these fears to go. I need this doubt to go. Lord, I need this debt to go. Lord, I need all this stuff to go. Lord, I need strength today. Lord, I don't know about the brothers and sisters across the world, but we need the fire of God here in the name of Jesus. Lord, give us today our daily bread. Whatever that represents, whatever that need

is, Lord, from spiritual, emotional, material. Lord, give us faith today for tomorrow. Lord, help us not to wake up, Lord, scared and worried about the day. But Lord, in this world that is full of uncertainty, Lord, I thank you that God remains our provider. He never fails you. My God shall supply all our needs according to thy riches in glory. He has a way. It will happen. Trust God. Trust God in the name of Jesus. But I've got to encourage you now through the power of prayer that we got to keep praying. You keep walking, you keep driving that van, you keep delivering, you do whatever you got to do. You keep running that hover round the house. You take the kids to school. You do whatever you need to do in your life, you know, and you keep praying through every area of life. The Bible makes it so clear. Pray without ceasing. Come on, God, we're going to pray without ceasing. Lord, and we believe in the word. We believe in the power. But right now, Lord, give us today our daily bread. Lord, we want it. We need it. And we're asking. Because Lord, the church ain't giving it. The church is taking. Lord, the pastors are taking. Religion is taken. The world is taken. The family is taking. Lord, society is taken. The governments are taking. Lord, and we got nothing else to give. Lord, the church has made a skin. We ain't got another pound in our pocket. Lord, we can't give any more to that church. We can't give any more to religion. We can't give any more. Lord, we need our daily bread. Help us, God. Today is the day of salvation, sister. Today is the day of salvation, brother. And as we pray this through, come on, let's pray. Father, give us this

provision today. Lord, against finances, against the fear of living. Father, give us today our daily bread, against the employment issues that are going on at work. Give us wisdom at work. Give us that daily bread of wisdom. Give us wisdom today, Lord. Help us, Lord. We need spiritual nourishment through the scriptures. Lord, we are asking and we are needing help. Lord, we are living in a global crisis. Lord, I don't know if you've looked down at the moment, in the earth at the moment, but my goodness, Lord, it's really kicking out, Lord, in the name of Jesus. And we really need peace. So we come to you as Bible-believing believers. We stand on the word of God and we believe and we make this a life application right now. Lord, we believe that our God is giving us today our daily bread, that we will not worry about anything, that we lack nothing. So we tell the devil, we tell the world right now that our God shall supply all our needs according to thy riches in glory. And we walk, Father, we walk in abundance. We live in abundance because you are giving us our daily bread. And Father, thank you that it is you that feeds us. Because you tell us man doesn't live by bread alone, but by every word that perceives out of the mouth of God. Come, Holy Spirit,

we thank you that we're healed. We thank you that we're well. We thank you, Lord, that we're standing on the word. And Father, the cupboards are filled. Lord, you are making a way because you are the bread maker. You are making a way. Lord, drop that manner from heaven in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. May the Lord bless you wherever you are today. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper as we stand, as we rest, as we pray together, lock shields of faith. And let's remind ourselves never give up because prayer is the way. God bless you. Until tomorrow.
