Thank you for joining us today on our daily Christian prayer podcast with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are scattered across the world, as we record this live here in London, England, do you know what? We are locking shields of faith because we belong to the kingdom of God. We belong to the kingdom of God. And I just want to present this to us today. This is quite a tricky one, sister and brother. This is quite a uh one that we could swerve around, but we we're staying in the Lord's
Prayer. We're going to Matthew 6, verse 12, and it's talking about forgiveness. You know, this is a big area of life. And Lord, I pray, Lord, for myself right now. Lord, will you help me to be more forgiving? Lord, you give us and you forgive us our debts. And Lord, the prayer of Jesus, Lord, Father, will you show us the power of forgiveness and freedom? Because Lord, I need forgiveness and I need freedom. And Lord, I'm not going to get free. Lord, we're not going to get free. All the time, Lord, I've got it chewing away inside me, Lord. No one can see what is going on on the inside. Only you, Jesus. Lord, only you can see what's chewing me away. And Lord, I ask, Lord, that you will help me to be more forgiving. Lord, that I will be more thoughtful, that I will be more graceful. Lord, that I won't be arrogant, that I won't be bitter, that I won't carry those words up, that I won't carry those situations up to my now. Lord Jesus, help me to leave them at the cross. Lord, I don't want to carry, Lord, all that unforgiveness. I don't want to carry bitterness. Lord, I want freedom from the past. I want freedom now in the name of Jesus. And Lord, as the scripture says in the Gospel of Matthew 6, verse 12, and forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. Father, I ask you, Lord, that thing that I went through. Lord, will you help
me? Lord, I lay it out on the table today, Lord. Lord, through that childhood abuse, and let me tell this now to the world, it wasn't my family. It was not my family. Father, I ask you that you will help me to forgive all those, those men, Lord, in that situation that took me as a 12-year-old boy. Lord, I pray that you will help me to forgive them in the name of Jesus. And Lord, I pray for anyone else that has gone through some atrocity, Lord, sexual abuse, human trafficking. Lord, whatever it is, verbal abuse, physical abuse, Lord, we just pray for abuse now. Father, will you help me? Will you help me, Lord, to bring these people to the cross? Will you help me, Lord, to bring them to the cross and to lay them down? Lord, I ask you that you will bless their lives. Lord, it's difficult for me, Lord. Lord, will you will you bless their lives? Lord, but will you remove them from my head? Will you take them out of my thought pattern? Because, Lord, I need peace and I need freedom. And I pray, Father God, for anyone else that may be in a situation like me or or whatever it may be, Lord, will you help me to be more graceful? Lord, I don't want to be angry over the past. I don't want to be frustrated
over the past. I want to find freedom. And Lord, I believe in the word of God. I believe in Matthew 6, 12. I believe, Lord, and forgive us our debts. Lord, when you were on the cross, you forgave me. When you were on the cross, you forgave us, Lord. You said, Father, forgive them, for they know no what they do. Yes, Lord, we know it went out to the soldiers. It went out to them in the audience at the cross of Calvary, but it went out to every human being. Father, you told them. You told them, Jesus, Father, forgive them, for they know no what they do. Will you, dear God? Will you work with me? God, please work with me. Lord, will you work with the listeners as we pray today? Will you help me, Lord, to hear the heartbeat of forgiveness? Lord, I pray right now, Lord, for those that came against me and done what they done and do whatever they did. I pray, God, that you will help me to be more forgiving. Lord, I need to walk in the heartbeat of God. So Lord, teach us how to pray. Teach us how to forgive. Show us through the Word of God how to deal with this. Lord, so that I can heal, we can heal, we can move forward in the gospel of hope. And Lord, I pray, Lord, as I say this so many times, Jesus, I just got to leave it at the cross. Sometimes, Father, I don't know how to leave
it at the cross because my head is aching with yesterday. My head is aching with historical stuff. Lord, I want to embrace freedom. I want to walk in grace. We want to walk in your anointing. Lord, and I pray, Lord God, I thank you that grace can never be earned. It is given. So Lord, will you give us this grace? Will you give us lashings of grace? Will you extract the torture in our minds? Will you extract it for the hearts, the brothers, the sisters across the world? Father, Lord, help me, help us to walk in forgiveness because I want to be transformed. I want to be transformed. I want to be more Christ-like. Lord, through the wounds, Lord, the wounds are still open. Lord, they sometimes still fester, Lord, if I can use that terminology. And Lord, I need them to be healed. I need the scars to be gone. I don't even want to be reminded of it. I don't even want to be reminded. I don't want to look at the scars, Lord. I don't want to look at the scars and go, oh yeah, I remember. Because I don't want to remember God. I want it gone. So Lord, I ask you that it will be gone in the name of Jesus Christ. And as we come to you right now, we pray that the glory will be poured out. We pray that the Holy Spirit will lead us to the cross and we will leave our baggage. We will leave our baggage because Lord, I want healing from betrayal. I want release from bitterness. I want your grace to help me to be more forgiving. Lord, I want to see reconciliation in areas of life. I want freedom from guilt and shame. Oh Jesus. Emotional restoration. Lord, I want to understand God's mercy. Lord, I want to see unity. I want to see your power. I want your peace in conflict for everyday life. Give us today our daily bread. Lord, as we pray, hallowed be thy name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. But Lord, help us to make this a life application today. And Lord, when I call on the name of Jesus, Lord, I want to walk in freedom. Sister and brother, should we walk together? Should we pray together? And should we walk together? Should we get away from yesterday? Do you want to get away from yesterday? Do you want to get away from the turmoil that's in your head? There's only one way that this is going to happen, and we know it's through Jesus Christ. But we got to pray about it. We got to bring it to the forefront. Get yourself, shut the front door of your house, get in your room, sit in your van, sit in your car, in the locker room, wherever you are, get in that place. If it is tormenting you, just speak it out to Jesus now. If you're on the scaffold, if you're at your desk at school, wherever you are, get to that place and just speak it to God. Write it down. Journal it. Write it down. Bring the scripture to it. By his stripes, you're healed, sister. By his stripes, brother, you are healed. We are healed together. I don't want to be reminded of my history. I don't want to be
reminded of the scars. I don't want to look at the scars. Lord, I want new skin. I want to move in freedom. Let's bring it all to Jesus. Wherever you are, may the Lord bless you and carry you. Thank you for being with us today in the name of Jesus Christ. Until tomorrow.
