Thank you for joining us today on a daily Christian prayer podcast with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. May the glory, may the power, may the anointing, and may the love of God lead you beside quiet waters. We're in the prayers of David, we're in this series at this moment. We're in Psalm 23, verse 2. If you have a moment on your run to the coffee machine, on your school run, on your work run, wherever you are, whatever is going on in your life, if you're sitting at the edge of the bed, sitting at home, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I want to tell you that the power of God is over your
life. And I want to encourage you, never give up. Never give up. Even though heaven goes quiet, even though it feels like God has zipped up the zip over the sleeping bag, and we we feel that we're not penetrating the heavenly realms. You are. Is hearing your cry, God sees your tears, He's carrying your heart. I've got to encourage you, don't give up. God is taking you to a place of rest. He knows you're tired, He knows you're weary, He knows you are exhausted and had enough of life. But I want to tell you this right now. This is what the psalmist writes. This is what Psalms 23, verse 2 says the prayers of David. If you need help, get into Psalm 23 and you pray it, you pray it and you pray it. You believe it, you believe it, you believe it. You walk in it and you stand in it, and you keep this repetition going on your lips, and out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. Without further
ado, let's get straight into these scriptures. Psalm 23, verse 2, and this is what he says he makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters. Father, I need right now quiet waters because Lord, there's a lot of noise in my life. Father, there's a lot of noise on the outside of our lives. Father, there is a lot of racket going on. Father, all we are hearing is storms. All we are hearing, Father God, is wind raging away. All we're hearing, Father God, is pain and worry and fear. Lord, we need to be led. Father, you tell us that you lead us beside quiet waters. I need stillness in our lives. Father, the listeners, myself, the brothers, the sisters, wherever we are across the world, we need
quietness. Father, we need your hand to lead us. Lord, you tell us in Psalm 23, verse 2, He makes me. Lord, you gotta make us lay down. Father, you gotta bring us to a place of green pastures. Lord, we're tired, we're weary. Lord, you tell us that you make us lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside quiet waters. I thank you for the prayers of David. I thank you for the power of the word of God. I thank you that your word is liberating. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Sister and brother, tell yourself you are walking in freedom. Tell yourself that you're walking in blessings. Tell yourself you're walking in glory. Tell yourself that the hand of God is over your life. Tell yourself that there is a miracle about to drop in your lap. Tell yourself that God that you serve, the God of Israel, the father of Isaac, Jacob, and Abraham is over your life, and the Spirit of the Lord is living within you. You are a born-again, spirit-filled Christian, and the fire of God and the presence of God and his mercy and his favor is with you in your life. Don't ever give up. God is with you, but right now he's leading you and allow him to lead you. Let's learn to surrender. Father, will you help me to surrender? Lord, I'm always carrying, I'm always opening doors. Lord, that's why we're tired and we're exhausted. We're always making things happen.
Lord, I think I need to get into this scripture and I need you, dear God, to make me lie down in green pastures. You lead us beside quiet waters. And Father, we pray that we will hear your voice. You tell us that the sheep will hear and recognize your voice. Lord, sometimes my life is so noisy I can't hear your voice because of the noise of the outside world. Lord, I pray that you will close our ears to the outside world. And Lord, as we walk beside quiet waters, you will restore us. You will bring us to a place. Father, we need to overcome anxiety. Father, we need to find calmness and peace in the word. Lord, you're our shepherd. You lead, you restore our soul. And today, wherever we are across the world, Father, we need the presence of God. Right now, we need peace. We need these green pastures, Lord, that represent nourishment, stillness, waters. Father, as they is symbolic to the refreshing grace of God. We need still waters. We need to slow down in your presence. We need to ask you to restore us and to recover us, Lord. We need strength and our hearts need to be steadfast in you. Lord, I pray right now that you will close the noise of heaven outside, Lord. Close the noise of heaven, Father God. And you know what I mean, the heavenly realms, the spiritual realms, the areas of warfare. Because Lord, I want to hear the whisper in the stillness. I want to hear the power of God. I need the heavenly realms, as in that area, dear God, of spiritual warfare to calm down. Because, Lord, I want to hear the whisper. I need to hear the heartbeat of God. And right now I need peace of mind. Lord, help us to overcome stress and fear. Give us restful sleep tonight, God. We're tired and we got to rest. Lord, I thank you for your presence is filling every home, every house. Lord, I pray for every anxious heart today. Lord, that hearts will be restored. Help us to slow down and hear the voice of God. Give us calmness in chaos. Lord, help us to heal from burnout. All those people, all those Bible-believing believers that feel that they're they're at the edge of burnout. Lord, I pray for those that are at the edge of burnout, Lord, that you will carry them and bless them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet.
But Lord, before we sleep, I want to pause and breathe this verse. Lord, I want to speak this over the listeners. I want to speak this over everyone tonight, wherever they are at the hour, whatever their time zone is. Let peace become my inner prayer tonight, Lord, because I need peace. So, Father, we thank you for the listeners. Wherever they are across the world, may your glory, your presence, your love, your mercy, Father, we thank you that we are found in the rhythm of the Word of God. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. It's a privilege to pray with you and for you. Never give up in your prayer life. Keep pushing forward. May the Lord bless you and keep you until tomorrow.
