life. But without further ado, let's get straight in. Now I love this. This scripture is one of those powerful scriptures that we we come to a lot here in the studio. We believe that God is leading us to these scriptures. We really believe that. We believe that with all of our heart that these scriptures that we bring to the table, it is what God is asking us and God is leading us to do. We're in Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd. You know the prayers of David. Come on, let's get straight in. Uh, we're in the book of Psalms 23, verse 1, 2 to 3.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. Lord, I pray that you will give us quietness today. I pray, Lord, through this prayer time that you will give us quietness for our spirit. And will you help us to recognize that the Lord is our shepherd, that I lack nothing today, Lord. That you make me lie down in green pastures, that you lead us beside quiet waters, that you refresh our soul. So Lord, this beautiful psalm, this prayer of David 23, Lord, I pray that this will become re very, very real to our spirit, that the Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing. So Father, I thank you for every corner of my life. I thank you for everything that's above the table, under the table, around the table, on the edge of the table of life. I thank you for everything because we lack nothing. And Lord, I pray for the sisters and the brothers on the other side of my voice, Lord, that they will realize that the Lord is their shepherd, that they're not in the wilderness on their own, but the favor and the power of God is over their lives, and the spirit of the Lord is in them. So Lord, just as Samuel anointed David, I pray, Lord God, that you will anoint us over and over and over again. That the oil of the Lord, the glory of the Lord, that his sovereignty, his power will rest over our lives. Father,
we need a shepherd. Lord, we need shepherding, Lord. We need you in the church, we need you in our lives. We need you, Lord, on the fabric of the page of life. And right now, Lord, Father, we thank you, Lord, that this psalm is a beautiful psalm. And as we search the scriptures today, we pray for peace and God's guidance. We pray, Lord, that we will trust in God's plan. We ask you that you will restore our souls, refresh our hearts, and you will lead us beside quiet waters. Lord, we need your presence in our lives. We need peace in the storm. We need guidance in decisions. Lord, we need provision that is needed really strongly. Lord, we need rest for the weary, faith in uncertainty, comfort for the hurting, protection for those that are in fear, renewal of hope. Lord, we give gratitude today. We give thanksgiving today for God's goodness. The goodness of God is over each and every one of us. Lord, I ask you right now that we will make this scripture a life application. Lord, that we picture ourselves walking with the shepherd, that the shepherd has us wrapped up, that the shepherd is right by our side, that the King of glory is with all the listeners today, that you will strengthen them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet, that they will feel the love of God and the power
of the Holy Spirit. And Lord, we thank you that we are redeemed. And wherever, Lord, we are in our lives, whatever our life looks like, I pray, Father, that there will be such an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Lord, that you will remind us, Lord, that you are the God above all gods, that you are the king above all kings, that you are the king of the Jews, that Jesus Christ went to the cross of Calvary. And you are the seven I ams. You're the bread of life, you're the good shepherd, you're the door, you are the way, the truth, the life. Father, we ask you now that peace will abound. You tell us, Lord, that you do not give as the world gives. So, Lord, we can't receive any more from the world. We need peace. We need this good shepherd. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Lord, I thank you that we lack no good thing. And Lord, you make us lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside and us beside quiet waters, a place of stillness. Lord, our souls need refreshing and restoring. Because, Lord, I don't know if you know, Lord, but down here on earth, I think it's all right upstairs in heaven, Jesus. But down on this earth, Lord, it's a bit mucky. It's a bit messy, Lord. It's a hard old stretch. We're tired. We need peace. We need guidance. So, Lord, I pray for every listener. I pray that you'll strengthen us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet. That we will feel the fire of God and we will walk by faith. Bless the listeners wherever they are across the globe today. We thank you for joining us. You know, may the Spirit of the Lord encourage you today. There is power in the name. You carry a name and you carry the name of Jesus Christ. Don't you ever give up. Don't you ever give up and don't you ever give in. You stand on the word. You rise on wings like eagles.
