Thank you for joining us today on a Daily Christian Prayer Podcast. Myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are, thank you for joining us for these quick-fired, five-minute commuter prayers. You know, the Spirit of God is with you, the word is in your life, the love of Jesus is wrapped around you. You know, you can't wriggle out of it. God has got you, He has you right now, and He's binding up the brokenhearted wherever you are. He's healing you, He's delivering you. Your heart is free because of the cross of Calvary. You are bloodwashed, sanctified, you are a born-again Christian. You are a born again because God has given you the gift of salvation. Don't worry, don't worry, and don't question all that. God has called you, God has
saved you. And we want to encourage you now in the book of Isaiah 61, verse 1. But before we go any further, if you can hit us up in the show notes, please have a read. Come on, let's get straight in. I want to tell you now that He has sent, He has sent His Son for you. Jesus
has come down from glory, Jesus is in your life. All things are possible to those who believe. The scripture reading is from Isaiah 61, verse 1. The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is with me. Because the Lord has anointed me. Proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives and release them from darkness, from the prisoners. Spirit of the living God, we thank you that we are free, Lord, that we are not prisoners of darkness.
Lord, in this gentle prayer time, Lord, I pray, Father, that the rhythm of heaven will carry us. And you will remind us, Lord, that we carry the light of the world, that we are not prisoners of darkness. Lord, if we have a broken heart today, fix our heart. Lord, I pray for healing, Lord, deep spiritual healing tonight. I pray, Father God, that you have sent, Lord, you have sent your glory in your presence. So tonight, Lord, this morning or the afternoon, whatever the time zone is, we need healing and deliverance, Lord. Lord, we know that we are delivered from the evil one, but it is our mind, Father God, that we mess around with, our thought pattern that turns over, Lord. So Lord, I need you to deliver our minds today. Lord, I tell you, Father, that we love you. I tell you now, God, that we love you. And right now, Lord, Lord, we give you praise that we are delivered from the Prince of Darkness. And we are not prisoners of darkness. But we, dear God, are children of the light. We belong to the light of the world, and his name is Jesus. And Father, we thank you that our God, the God of Israel, said in Genesis chapter 1, verse 3, let there be light. So Lord, we thank you that light is powerful. We thank you that we carry the light of the world. And Jesus says, I am the light of the world. Lord, I thank you that darkness cannot hold us. I thank you that fear has no
place in our lives. But as we lock shields of million millions and millions of believers, as we believe, as we pray, Lord, for broken hearts today, we pray for those that have got a broken heart. Lord, deliver us from pain, freedom from darkness, our thoughts, our minds, the mental health, Lord. Lord, as that great prophet writes, dear God, in Isaiah 61, verse 1, in God's reply, he heals the brokenhearted, he restores the captive and sets his people free. Set us free today, God. Lord, in the quiet prayer, Lord, let the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord is on you. I want to tell you again loud and proud that the Spirit of the Lord is on you. You're driving, you're working, you're laying in bed, you're you're just gathering your thoughts, your head is in your hands, but the spirit of the Lord is over you. You're out working, you're tired and you're fed up, but the spirit of the Lord is over you. You feel depressed and lonely and fearful, but the spirit of the Lord is over you. You can't work things out. Your brain is just completely fried. Everything is against the wall, but I've got to tell you again, the spirit of the Lord is on you. You're tired, you're feeling guilty, you're feeling shameful, you're feeling unusually not right, but the spirit of the Lord is on you. You feel that you've got mental health issues that are spiraling out of control, but I gotta tell you, the spirit of the Lord is on you. The fire of God is in your life. You are blessed and highly favored, wonderfully and fearfully made. And I pray what when when pain lingers and memories hurt, I ask God for that gentle
outpouring of the Holy Spirit. That when memories are hurting you, when memories are coming in like arrows, when the sound of yesterday is lingering and the pain of yesterday and the thoughts arise just like a tsunami out of nowhere, the devastation of the yesterday's years. Father, I pray that you will give us freedom from emotional and disturbing historical events. The enemy's wounds, dear God, the enemies, dear God, the enemies of the wounds that we carry. Lord, I pray, Lord, that we won't see the wounds. We won't even see the scars. There will be no scar because we don't want to look, dear God, and see what was. We want to look at the scars and they're erased in the name of Jesus. We need a miracle, we need breakthrough, we need power, we need anointing. Lord, we need healing of broken hearts, freedom from emotional pain, deliverance from darkness, inner peace and restoration. For those that are grieving in loss and betrayal, Lord, touch their hearts. I ask that the Holy Spirit will heal memories of the dark past thoughts, that we won't carry those thoughts any further, any second anymore. I pray, Lord, that we will learn to laugh again, that we will learn to smile, that we will learn to praise Jesus. I thank you, Lord, there is hope after heartbreak. I pray for families, Lord, to be restored. I pray for strength to let go. Give us strength to let go tonight, Jesus, right now, that we let go in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. We need the glory. But Lord, we make it a public declaration right now. And we tell the world that the Lord binds up my brokenness, that the Lord binds up my brokenness, my broken heart, my broken thoughts. And he sets me free. He is setting you free tonight of yesterday, of people, of situations, of trauma, of pain. Come to the cross of Calvary. Get in the Word of God. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper.
