Thank you for joining us today on our Daily Christian Prayer Podcast with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England. Wherever you are scattered across the world, remind ourselves that this is a five-minute, quick, five to seven-minute commuter prayer. Whether you're commuting from your desk to the coffee, whether you're commuting from your car to McDonald's, whether you're commuting and taking the kids on the school run wherever you are, smile because the living God is with you in the name of Jesus. But you belong. You belong to us. And what do you mean by that, Rev? What do you mean that we belong to you? We belong together in a prayer network. We belong in a network. I don't even like using that word network. You belong, and we belong to a prayer family. We belong to a prayer family, and we're standing with you, and wherever you are today, whatever your life is reflecting. You know, let's be real, let's get straight into prayer.
And we're in Psalm 23, verse 2, and we're pressing these six prayers out today, and we're looking. The title of everything that we're doing is a simple title, The Rhythm of the Shepherd's Heart. Let's get the heartbeat of God. Let's get the heartbeat of Christ. Come on, we got to push into prayer. We're living in the last days. Jesus Christ is coming back, and you are part of this prayer family. You are part of us and we are part of you because we are locking shields of hope wherever you are. Thank you for your support. Thank you for those lovely messages that are coming in to the studio. But wherever you are, we pray that the love of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit will carry you across the world.
We're in Psalms. We're in the beautiful Psalms of David. The prayers of David, do you need still waters? Do you need peace in your life? Are you living in a restless world? Is your workplace, is your family, are situations restless around you? I want to tell you right now that the God that we serve is with you. I want to tell you that the shepherd is leading you right now. Come on, let's get beside still waters. Father, we believe in the prayers and the psalms of David. We believe in Psalm 23, verse 2, that he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters. Father, will you lead us beside quiet waters? Will you lead us to a place of stillness? Because Lord, our lives are really noisy. Our situations are really noisy. Lord, the world is really noisy. And Lord, I need some quiet, Lord. We need some quiet space. We gotta recover. And Lord, as the psalmist writes, you are our shepherd, and he makes us lie down in green pastures. Lord, sometimes we are brought to a place, Jesus, where we have to lay it down. And Lord, sometimes you make us lay it down. Sometimes you get us to lay it down. Because the psalmist writes in Psalm 23, verse 2, He makes me lie down in green pastures. Lord, where we're laying at the moment is quite barren. The nation in which we're walking is extremely barren. And we need some fresh grazing pastures. Lord, we need some freshness. We need some evergreen blades of grass in our lives. Lord, we need some colour because Lord, we ain't got no grass. We haven't got no area. Lord, it's it's dry. Lord, it's hard area, Lord. We
need some good soil. Lord, we need to find some rest. And I pray for the listeners today that are struggling for rest in their life. Father, I thank you that we are recording this live here in London, England, where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. And the sisters and the brothers, Lord, I thank you that anxiety is gone right now. Anxiety is gone, that you are given them peace. Lord, you make us lie down in green pastures. You lead us beside quiet waters. Father, we want to escape this world. We want to escape the noise. We want to escape, Lord, the hustle and the bustle. We want to find peace at work, peace at home, peace in the family, peace in ministry, peace in the studio, peace on the school run. We need peace in our lives. Lord, when we're driving the cars, Father God, across the roads, Lord, when we're commuting across the world, when we're on the trains, the tubes, Father, everything is noisy and chaotic, Lord, the hustle and bustle. Lord, we need some quietness. Lord, our minds can't cope. We need our God. Father, we're tired of the noise. We're tired of the noise and the unrest, the wars, the noise, the social pressure. Lord, we're tired of the social pressure on social media. The endless screams coming, dear God. Lord, help us, Lord, to find peace in chaos. Lord, we want to hear the shepherds whisper, be still. Sister and brother, I want to tell you now the shepherd is telling you to be still in his prayer time. He's a peacemaker. He's the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the great I am. He is worthy of all praise. And I pray that the love of God, as it flows like living water, he will calm your mind and heal your hearts. You know, he is a peacemaker. I pray that God will take us to pastures of evergreen, of nourishment, of still waters, revival for refreshment. Lord, I thank you that the shepherd, Lord, we want to hear the rhythm of the shepherd, Lord. Oh God, we need to hear the heartbeat of God. Remove this anxiety, Lord. Help us, Lord, with these sense, dear God, of uncertainty. Lord, we we need real peace. We need calmness in every situation. But Lord, today we need our God and our King. And we come to you, Lord, in this busy city, this
busy life, this busy area of lifestyle we have. And Lord, we want you to invite us to breathe. We want you to invite us to breathe and to rest in the name of Jesus. To breathe, to rest, to trust. Lord, we need to let the shepherd lead us. Lord, we need leading today. Lord, bring us peace. Lord, across nations torn by conflict. Lord, calm hearts that are anxious today. Heal those that are overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. Refresh weary leaders and brothers and sisters across the world. Lord, silent the noise, Lord, and the screams, Lord, as the world is looking for attention. Father, close down social media. Lord, it is so loud. It is so loud, Father. Oh Jesus, keep us away from that fake area. Keep us away from the devil's playground in the name of Jesus. Lord, pour out your spirit over us today. Keep us in the Word of God. We need refreshing, refreshing rivers today. Lord, lead us, Lord, guide us, Lord, replace this global anxiety with supernatural peace. But Father, I pray for the listeners that they will hear the Father's heart. They will be beside still waters each day. And we make this a public declaration, a life application. We choose stillness for our heart. The Lord is my peace. He leads me to rest and he renews my soul. Lord, I pray, Lord, for every ear that is listening right now. I pray for every heart that is receiving now. That they will feel the love of Jesus, the power of the Holy Spirit. And Lord, bless them as we are locked together through our daily prayer family across the world. May God bless you and carry you. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper.
