Welcome And Purpose

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where faith meets the world in daily devotion and global hope. This is your five-minute commuted prayer, quick fired moments of faith to carry us through the rest of the day. May the Spirit of the Lord be over you today. May the love of God be surrounding you. You know God loves you, God is with you. He sees your pain. He sees your suffering. He knows you're not sleeping well. He knows you've got social anxiety. He knows you've got doubts and fears. He knows that your mind is over-engineering every

situation. And we're going to jump straight into the Gospel of Matthew chapter 11, verse 28.

Turning To Scripture For Rest

SPEAKER_00

And we're going to pray right now. We're going to pray for rest and calm. We're going to pray for uh new beginnings. We're going to pray that fear won't overtake and we won't overthink. And we're going to pray for God's peace. As the Gospel of John says, Jesus says, I do not give you as the world gives my peace. So Lord, we pray for that now. But right now, Lord, we just come before you. We lock shields together.

Praying As One Family

SPEAKER_00

Lord, I invite my brothers and sisters around the world from the daily prayer family. Lord, as we are in this prayer cycle, this 24-hour prayer devotional cycle, we believe that there is power in prayer. And Lord, when one of us is in pain, we all ache. When one of us is in fear, we're all in fear. So Lord, we lock together spiritually. We lock together, dear God, with the shield of faith.

The Rugby Battle Metaphor Of Faith

SPEAKER_00

And right now, Lord, we scrum down, dear God, on the rugby field of life. And Lord, we put our long studs in these boots. We do these boots up and we scrum down. We lock down just like a rugby team. We lock in and Lord, we grab hold of the rugby ball known as the Word of God and we hold it in our chest and we push each and every one of us over the touchline of victory. We are in victory. We're over the touchline because the Spirit of the living God is in our lives. And Lord, you call us through Matthew 11, 28.

Holding Fast To Matthew 11:28

SPEAKER_00

Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Father, we are holding on to this word. Lord, it is in the scrum, dear God, with us, and we are not letting this word go. Lord, we are holding on to Matthew 11, 28 right now. Lord, you're saying, Come to me. Lord, you're calling us over the touchline of victory. Lord, we're scrumming down. We're pushing over the touchline now. We are working together. We're praying together. We're moving together. We're walking together. Lord, we're digging down into the mud of life. And we are pushing each and every one of us. We are carrying ourselves over the touchline because, Lord, you're telling us, come to me. Lord, we hear you. We see you, Lord, on the touchline. You're calling us, dear God, over the try-line. You're calling us over that line. Lord, we're coming to you right now. Lord, we're weary and we're worded down. And Lord, we're weighed down and we're heavily laden with the world's issues. And right now, Lord, we are weary and we are

burdened. And Lord, you tell us you'll give us rest. I pray that we will find rest in the name of Jesus. Lord, we also pray for Psalms 3, verse 5. We pray for Psalms right now. We thank you for the beautiful book, The Prayers of David. And right now, as we pray Psalm 3, 5, over each of our lives, Lord, I will lie down and sleep. I will wake again because the Lord has sustained me. Lord, we pray, dear God, as we are absolutely exhausted, that we will rise in holy divine rest in Jesus' name.

Rising Above Mental Strain

SPEAKER_00

Lord, as the world cries out for emotional rest, peace, release from mental strain. We pray, dear God, for mental health today. Lord, that we will rise, dear God, like eagles, Lord, that we will rise up today. Lord, that we will soar above the cloud line of mental health. We will soar above the cloud line of despair. We will soar above the cloud line, dear God, of hopelessness. And right now, we pray for rest. We pray for calm. We pray for peace. We pray for emotional release. We're praying for quietness. We're praying for God's covering. We're praying for quick thinking to stop. Lord, come, Holy Spirit, lead us in paths of righteousness.

Covered, Sustained, And Carried

SPEAKER_00

But wherever we are, we declare God's rest, God will sustain us, God is keeping us, and we declare that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Fire of the living God, will you carry us? Holy Spirit, will you cover us today? Wash us in the shed blood of Jesus. But Lord, I thank you that you are guarding, you are sustaining, and you are carrying the listeners today wherever they are. Let the Spirit of the Lord carry you to your destiny. Wherever

Final Charge And Blessing

SPEAKER_00

you are from right now, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the bus stop, from the bus stop to the school run, from the school run to the treadmill of life, the spirit of the Lord is over you. Never give up until tomorrow. Hold on to the rugby ball, the word of God. Hold it into your chest and you run with the word. Hold on tight. God is with you. Never give up. God bless. Until tomorrow.
