Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where faith meets the world in daily devotion and global hope. This is your five-minute commuted prayer. Quick five moments of faith to gather us through the rest of the day. Come on, that's it. We're jumping straight in today.

Calling For Comfort And Rest

SPEAKER_00

I'm not gonna read that anymore. We're straight in because I don't know where you are, but I need the power of prayer. We've got to lock down, we've got to get in the word of God, and as we pray together, we're gonna pray for comfort, rest. We're gonna pray for emotional relief. We're gonna pray for a place today where we're gonna find the refreshing presence of Jesus. We're gonna pray that we will find uh rest as we sleep. We're gonna pray for God's presence in the night hour, wherever you are. Let's pray for comfort, rest, God's nearness, and night peace. I don't know what your time zone is, I don't know what your name is, but I believe God is over your life, and I want you not to worry. So let's knuckle

Praying Psalm 4:8 Over Our Sleep

down. We're in Psalms 4, verse 8. Father, in the name of Jesus, this night prayer, this hour prayer, this prayer of comfort. Lord, we need comfort, we need rest, we need peace, and we need God's protection right now. Holy Spirit, in the stillness of this prayer, I pray from London in this studio right now. I pray, dear God, for London, Los Angeles, Manila, Mumbai, Edinburgh, Dubai. I pray, dear God, for every island, every nation, every tribe, and every tongue. Lord, we're tired. Lord, and we're not resting very well lately, Jesus, and we gotta sleep well. So Lord, I pray, dear God, for Psalm 4.8 over our lives. I pray in peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Lord, I want to dwell on this scripture a moment. Lord, I want to lock shields with my brothers and sisters. Lord, we want calmness today. And the Bible says, Jesus, this is your word to us, God. Psalm 4, verse 8. In peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Lord, our lives are very chaotic. Lord, some of us are reaching burnout, exhaustion, fatigue. Our bones are aching, Lord. Sometimes we're noticing that we've got tremors. Sometimes we're noticing we can't get our words out. Sometimes we're so tired we can't sleep. So Lord, I pray for every brother and sister that is with me on this devotional prayer time. I pray for every brother, every sister that they will feel the love of God right now. And I ask you, dear God, across this world, Lord, I pray that nightmares won't be triggered. I pray at this midnight hour, Lord, as we're trying to rest, trying to sleep. Lord, as we search for comfort, as we search for rest and emotional peace. Father, we thank you for Psalm 4, verse 8. Lord, we love this scripture. Lord, we love the word of God, but right now, Psalms verse 4 and 8, in peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

From Anxiety To Calm In Prayer

SPEAKER_00

Lord, I want to say thank you for Psalm 23, verse 4. Even though we walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. And right now, Lord, we pray, dear God, for wherever we sleep, we pray for quiet thoughts. We pray, dear God, that emotions will settle down. We pray for calm and anxiety. Dear God, we pray that that word anxiety will go and calm will accelerate over anxiety. I ask you, dear God, in the presence, Lord, when we can't think right, Lord, when our minds are so fast, cover our home, cover my mind, cover my sleep. Right now, Lord, lift the weight of life. We're burdened, Lord, we're heavily laden, but right now we believe we are praying for rest, we're praying for peace, we're praying for comfort, we're praying for calm, we're praying for sleep, we pray for God's presence, pray for emotional healing. And Lord, if there's ever a time that our bodies are tired, is right now, Jesus. And we need

Strength, Names Of God, And Blessing

a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. And Lord, I pray that the listeners will feel the love of Jesus at this hour. Lord, carry the weight, take the weight. Lord, we give you our burdens. Because we're too tired. We are so tired we can't even talk right. We're so tired we can't even get a conversation together sometimes. We're so tired we get irritable. We're so tired we're fed up. We're so tired we're angry. So, Lord, change us. But Lord, give us rest, because this journey is tough, God. And I pray for the listeners today that they will find rest and peace through this devotional prayer time together. Whether they're on the field of life, whether we're in the battlefield, the boardroom, the bus stop, on the commute, on the school run, on the treadmill of life, on the treadmill of the gym. I pray, dear God, wherever we are facing battles that are physically and mentally draining us, they will go. You are the Lion of Judah. You are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. You are the God above all gods. You are our Redeemer. Bless the listeners at this hour. May the Spirit of the Lord give you rest today. I pray that you will find complete rest. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. Until tomorrow. Stay blessed.
