Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper recorded live here in London, England. Wherever you are at this moment in time, we are in December, and I want to invite you in right now, not around the Christmas tree. We're going to throw that out the window and we're going to get round the prayer table at the name of Jesus Christ. Because this month is a high tensile month, and we've got to get in the word of God. We got to pray
wherever you are. We've got to jump into Psalm uh 34, verse 18, and we welcome you right now around the prayer table. It is high, the tension, the atmosphere through this month, the worry, the fear, the doubt. Even when we're looking at these news channels in our studio right now, what is breaking out across the world? Spirit of the living God, I pray, dear God, at the early door of the day, at the late day of the door. Father, we believe that Psalm 34, verse 18 is for us right now. We're praying for healing for loneliness, emptiness, isolation, and feeling forgotten during this festive time. Lord, whatever the season is, whatever the moment is, whatever the hour is, whenever it is, Lord, for all the year round we need Jesus. But Lord, the season that we're in, Father, we thank you that this season that we're in is a season, dear God, to recognize that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. And Lord, we pray, Lord, that we won't get caught in commercialized Christmas. Lord, that we won't get caught, dear God, in the way of the world. But Father, we will find freedom.
And today we pray for emotional healing for loneliness for those that are lonely at this time, for those that feel empty, those that feel isolated from family, from friends when they break up from work and school and education. Those, dear God, that are leaving work right now, Lord, that have got a week off and they don't know what to do themselves. Father, fill their house, fill that void with the love of God. Lord, let them know that Jesus Christ is with them. So, Father, we pray for those that feel forgotten during this Christmas season and wherever we are, from London, dear God to Vancouver, from Vancouver to Chicago, Melbourne, Dublin, France, Ireland, Lord, we pray that the Spirit of the Lord will be over each and every one of us. Lord, I pray that we will get through and we will see breakthrough in our lives in the name of Jesus. And as we pray, Psalm 34, verse 18, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Do you feel crushed right now? Do you feel broken-hearted? Do you feel lonely? God is with each and every one of
us. Come on, let's not look at the Christmas tree through this prayer time. Let's look at the cross because it is the cross of Calvary. It is the blood of Jesus Christ. He is your rock. He is your redeemer. He is healing you from anxious thoughts, from past Christmases, from this Christmas, for the days that lie ahead. And Father, we pray, dear God, for such a move of the Holy Spirit in our lives. And Lord, we anchor in right now to Deuteronomy 31, verse 8. The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you. Father, in this season that we are in, we really need you to go before us because Lord, we're quite scared. Lord, we're worried about meeting families. Lord, we're worried about sitting around the Christmas table. Lord, we're worried about seeing certain characters in the circle of the walk that we got to do. Father, those that are missing in our lives. Father, those that are not with us, the loneliness, the isolation, the doubt, the fear, the worry. And Lord, we ask you, dear God, that you will stretch out, dear God, from heaven above. And Lord, and we will feel the love and the presence of Jesus Christ. Lord,
as the globe search, dear God, for the hope at this Christmas, we believe that Jesus Christ is our hope. But Lord, we pray, Lord, that you will feel the empty hearts and the ache of feeling forgotten. Lord, that you will touch lives and people wherever they are around the world, that they will see the love of Jesus Christ. And Lord, as we kick the duvet off, Lord, as we get up for work, for school, for life, for whatever we may be doing, Lord, wherever and whatever the time zone is around the world, Father, we thank you that the power of God is with each and every one of us. And we believe as we anchor into the word of God, that we are blessed and highly favored. Lord, we're praying for comfort at this season. We're praying, dear God, for connections at this season. We're praying for peace. We're praying for hope. We're praying for strength, healing, and Lord, we're praying for restoration. Come, Holy Spirit,
will you fill us afresh today wherever we are gathering across this world? Lord, fill us up, Lord, to our cup runneth over. May God bless you and carry you until tomorrow.
