Come on, we're locking into Matthew chapter 11, verse 28. The night prayer for healing. Do you feel that you've been burnt out? Have you got mental fatigue? Are you overthinking and the need for spiritual renewal? I'm in these brackets. I don't know about you, but I've been feeling a little bit odd the last few days. I think what it is is the pressure of life, you know, the month that we're in, the pressure on us as human beings, you know, the fulfillment that's the expectation from so many people on our lives. But brother and sister, we will not burn out. This is really, really important. We will not burn out. Have you got mental fatigue? Everything's gonna be alright. Come on, we're gonna pray. Father,
in the name of Jesus, Lord, you call us through Matthew 11. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. I pray for you tonight. Wherever you are at the early hours, the sun rises, as the sun sets, as the dawn breaks over your life, I pray that you will walk to Jesus. As you lay in bed, as you are on a commute, wherever you are on a school run, you're driving the van to work, you're commuting, you're walking the dog, whatever you are doing, I pray that you will come to Jesus Christ today. I pray that the word of God will invite you into prayer. I pray as you open up the word of God, maybe the first time in ages, maybe you hit the app and you open up the Bible on your phone at work and you're commuting. I pray for you right now that the word will draw you in. I pray that you will never, ever, ever hit burnout. I pray that there will be healing from mental fatigue, overwhelming thoughts through the month that we're going through. I ask God and I believe that Matthew 11 is for you right now. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest. Jesus Christ is inviting you, and I invite you into this prayer time, and I invite you in wherever you are to lock with me, to pray with me, to stand with me, as we lock into the scrum, the prayer scrum together, as we grab hold of the rugby border word of God, and we pull the word into our chest, and we march and we press down, we scrum down together, we change the studs. Oh God, we change these studs in these rugby boots. We take out the religious studs that are short and pointless. And Lord, we put in the stud of faith. And Lord, we scrum down in faith, and we press in faith, and Lord, we pray in faith. Lord, we believe that you are calling us to come to you. You are calling the weary. Lord, we're weary and we're tired. We are burdened. We are heavy laden. You're calling us, Lord, and you tell us that you will give us rest.
Lord, not only are we in Matthew 11, but Lord, we anchor right in to Psalm 23, the prayers of David. He restores my soul. Lord, let there be restoration today. I pray for the listeners around the world. Fathers, we are feeling our bodies hitting that wall. When we feel that fatigue driving, when we can't even speak, when we are tired, we can't even pray right. Lord, we're stumbling for words. Lord, I ask you right now that we will rise on wings as of eagles, and the power of God will carry us through this month. Lord, it's heavy being a human being, Jesus. Lord, it's heavy going to work, it's heavy in church, it's heavy wherever we are. But Lord, we believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, and we thank you that you are calling us.
Jesus is calling you. Jesus is calling you right now through this prayer time. God is calling you by name and He loves you, and you are not alone. He knows that you're weary, He knows that you've had enough. He knows that you are reaching these pockets of unfamiliar territory. But Jesus says, bring your burdens to me. Bring your suitcases of rubbish, Ben. Bring your rucksack, Ben. Leave everything at the cross. But I cry out to Jesus and I say this, Lord, I don't know how to let go of my history. I don't know how to take this rucksack off my back, Jesus. I don't know how to let go of the suitcase of life. Lord, the grip is so fierce. Lord, I've been so used to hanging on to history. Lord, will you break the chains? Lord, will you open my hands up? Lord, will you open my heart up? Will you help me to come to you today? Jesus is inviting you, brother. Jesus is inviting you, sister. Come to me, all of you that
are weary and heavily laden, and I will give you rest. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you. Never give up until tomorrow.
