Welcome And Purpose Of Prayer

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, and strength. The Spirit of the Lord is over you wherever you are today. I'm praying. I'm praying and believing. I don't know how you feel. I don't know how you feel emotionally, but I don't know about you, but I feel quite heavy having conversations with people. The strain, the stress of December, you know, the dark days here in the UK.

Entering Prayer Amid December Stress

SPEAKER_00

Father, in the name of Jesus, we are jumping straight into prayer. And Lord, we love you. Lord, we just want to tell the world right now that we love Jesus. Lord, I'm not sure about anything else in my life, but Lord, one thing is for sure, I love Jesus. And Lord, I want clean hands and a pure heart. Lord, I don't want stress, I don't want worry, I don't want the fears of the world. But Lord, you tell us, you tell us very clearly to be strong, to be strong and to be brothers and sisters of good courage. But right now, Lord, as this season starts to unfold, dear God, like a letter coming out of an envelope. Lord, as we undo the envelope of December, Lord, as we pull the letter out of the envelope, Father, we are starting to read the month of December. Father, and this feels a very unusual December, Jesus. And I pray, Lord, and I believe that we are waiting for Jesus. But right now, will you lift the heaviness? Will you come and give us

Naming Grief And The Empty Chair

peace right now? But Lord, we are praying, Lord, for an area of Christmas that we try to swerve. Lord, that empty chair. Lord, we've been praying for this for quite a while now, Lord, and that empty chair, that empty house, that person missing, those situations that are gone that will never be retrieved, those thoughts, Father God, that are causing us stress and fear and confusion. Lord, we're praying for those that are going through grief right now. Those, dear God, that are crying, their hearts are hurting because of grief, because of bereavement, because of loss, because of family breakdown, because of situations that have come to the door of life and turned everything upside down. So, Lord, we bring everybody right now that is really grief-stricken at this moment. Lord, that the love of Jesus will be with all those that are going through grief and bereavement. We pray for those that are going through loss, Father, many areas of loss, and we pray today for significant breakthrough in the name of Jesus. We pray, dear God, for those that have lost loved ones and friends, Lord, financial loss, you know, homes that have been lost, lives that have been lost, situations that have been lost, Lord, through this moment. Lord, and we pray. We pray right now, Lord, and Father, we need abundance to rise sharply. Lord, we need abundance of peace through the season. And Lord, we come before you right now, Lord, raw and tired and weary. And Lord, we lay everything on the table of life. And Father, we are praying for the empty chair at Christmas. Lord, this global prayer, Lord, as we seek our brothers and sisters, Lord, to lock in today. Lord, we we get on the field of life and we pray each other over the touchline of life. And Lord, we're praying for grief. We're praying for healing and God's comfort for those missing loved ones through this season. And Lord, we pray, dear God, as the tension rises, as the worry arises wherever we are gathering across the world, from London to Chicago, Chicago to Mumbai, dear God, Czechosovakia, Lord, all around Melbourne, all around the Americas, Lord God, Father, in the name of Jesus, we

Scriptures For The Brokenhearted

come to you. And Lord, we need to hold into Psalm 34, verse 18. Lord, I want to tell the listeners today that this is for them. If you are in loss at this moment, if you're in grief, if you're in worry, you're in doubt, whatever you are in, this scripture is for you. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Lord, I pray for a double portion on everybody listening to my voice today. I pray, dear God, for those that feel crushed in spirit. Lord, I pray for those, dear God, that feel the weight of life in their bones. I pray for those, dear God, that have got a broken heart. They just feel brokenhearted for many reasons in their lives. We pray for significant breakthrough today. Lord, not only do we we hold on to the prayers of David, Psalm 34, verse 18, but Lord, we lock in to 2 Corinthians 1. And we believe verse 3 is for us. The Father of compassion and the God of all comfort who comforts us in our troubles. Lord, there is trouble as we watch the news channels. There is trouble as we see the environment around our lives.

From Christmas To Second Coming

SPEAKER_00

There is trouble, Lord, but we realize that we're waiting for the second coming of Jesus. And as we're in this month, Lord of December, Lord, we see, Lord God, the world getting ready for Christmas. But Lord, it's not Christmas I've got to get ready for. It's the second coming of Jesus. So Lord, will you take the burdens of this season? Lord, all those that are going through loss, bring them peace today. Let the love of Jesus be over their lives. God bless you wherever
