Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of prayer and strength. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. Are you tired? Are you weary at this early hour? You know, I pray that God will give you peace as you try to rest, as you've got racing thoughts, your hearts are tired, you're weary, you feel clammy, you feel sad, you feel joyous, you feel all these emotions going around in your spirit. There's restlessness, you're wrestling work, we're getting ready for work, things are happening in
life. We're on the back end and the tile end of Christmas. We're we're pressing into January almost, we're just days away. I pray for these night anxiety moments. I pray for these thoughts, these racing times that you're having. I pray that God will heal you and God will heal you. Come on, will you lock in with me wherever you are? Let's lock in as we gather for prayer. I pray for you right now, wherever you are around the world, from London to Manila, from Johannesburg, Toronto, Toronto, Singapore, Mexico City, you know, Kabul, uh, Cairo to Perth, Dublin, Mumbai, wherever you are right now. If you're sitting on your edge of your bed, if you're laying in your bed, if you're up working and whatever you're doing, you're trying to keep yourself busy. I pray that you will find a place to sleep. Come on, will you lock with me right now? God is gonna get you
to sleep. The Spirit of the Lord is gonna get you to that place where you can drift off and God is gonna heal you while you are asleep. Father, I pray for every heart that is with me at this hour. And Lord, for those that are pulling the duvet over, dear God, right now, that are trying to find a place of stillness and hope.
Father, we believe that Psalm 4, verse 8 is for each and every one of us. In peace, I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in a safe place. I pray for those that feel that they are unsafe. I pray for those that just feel like they need a safe space in their life. I pray for those, dear God, that are laying in bed, laying on the sofa, sitting on the chair, just contemplating life, that are pondering over thoughts and what has gone by in their life. I pray that you will restore them and heal them, that they will feel the love of Jesus. But Lord, I ask you right now that we will sleep, Lord, that you will come into our hearts and our minds and our spirit right now, Lord, and you will bring peace to every bed, every home, every house, every area, dear God, all those that are listening to the sound of my voice, Lord. I believe that peace is with everyone right now.
Father, for those that are wrestling the Christmas issues that have gone on, Lord, bring that, bring that joy back to their spirit. And tonight, Lord, as we as we sharply look for a way out, Lord, the night anxieties, the thoughts, the disturbances, the stressful December weeks that have built up and built up now, Lord, all of a sudden the engrenade of Christmas has gone off. Now we're on the aftermath of the storm. And Father, we're we're seeking calm. We're seeking, dear God, grounding and reassurance. Lord, we pray that you will bring stillness and love to restless hearts tonight. Lord, you are a good
God. Father, in the quiet hours of this night, in the early hours of this morning, we pray every restless human being before us, every restless mind, we pray for calm thinking right now. Still hearts that feel oversettled, dear God, that just can't settle. Father, their hearts are beating. They're feeling a bit unsure about life and themselves. Lord, give them peace tonight at the early hours. Father, we're asking that you will strengthen and you will slow down the mind and the thinking and everything that goes along with life. But right now, we believe in the power of
God. And Lord, not only do we hold on to Psalm 4, verse 8, but Lord also we hold on to John 14, 27. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Brother and sister, wherever you are across the world, do not be afraid. The spirit of the Lord is over you, and we are praying for peace at this early hour. God is going to get you to sleep, God is going to restore you. All things are possible to those who believe. Never ever give up. Wherever you are across this world, God loves you.
