Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, and strength. Jesus Christ is with each and every one of us.
Wherever we are gathering, we're going to pray for peace for those that just feel restless, for those thoughts and their minds that can't switch off, that won't switch off. I pray right now that the Spirit of the Living God will carry you right now. We are about to accelerate.
We are leaving December very, very quickly, and we are going to accelerate into January. Before you night, we'll be in mid-January, and we got to pray that the God that we serve will give us strength, hope, and love. That we never ever give up. And whatever baggage we've been carrying for all these years, we got to leave it in 2025. And we've got to leave the restlessness. We've got to leave the way of the mind. We've got to leave our cognitive processing. We've got to leave all that stuff back in 2025. Whatever it is, whatever we are carrying, we got to leave it. Do not carry it any further
in your life. Will you come to the cross of Calvary with me right now? Father, in the name of Jesus. We're praying for those that have got restless thoughts right now, wherever they are around the world. We're praying for peace, dear God, tonight at the midnight hour, at the early day, dear God, as the sun rises, as the sun sets. Lord, we're praying for the glory of God. We're asking you, dear God, that we will switch off today. We will switch off tonight, Lord, that we will sleep well. Dear God, we pray that our hearts will be steadfast, that you will draw us closer to the cross of Calvary. Lord, we believe in miracles and we're praying for such an outpouring of your spirit over our lives. You are Jehovah Jira. And Lord, we need you in our lives. We need our God and our King. So, Father, as we are getting ready to cross
over. Lord, as we are getting ready to cross over, Lord, as we are just leaving December, Lord, we pray right now, Lord, as the world rises, as the world rises in struggles and racing thoughts. Father, our mind is spiring out of control, the overthinking, Lord. We are asking you right now that you will settle our unsettled hearts. Lord, that you will bring peace to every heart, every mind, every spirit, every soul right now. That you will bring the glory of God. And wherever we are gathering from London to Mumbai, from Mumbai to Cairo, from Cairo to Vancouver, to Seoul, to Cape Town, to France, dear God, all the way to Czechoslovakia, Lord, Portugal, Brazil, we pray for such an outpouring of your spirit that the love of God will be so strong. We will feel your presence over our lives and we need peace. Lord, this evergreen word, we need peace. We need your love. We need your mercy. We need your goodness. Spirit of the living God, we pray that you will just touch our hearts, our minds.
But Lord, as we are leaving 2025, Lord, and we're jumping into 2026, Lord, we believe right now there is a miracle in 2026. And Lord, we're gonna cross over just like the Israelites were told when they got down to the river, when they got down to the river edge, when they got down to the Jordan, they had to consecrate themselves for a few days before they could cross over. And Lord, we pray as you prepare us to cross over, the crossing over, dear God, leaving the shoreline of history, leaving the baggage, consecrating ourselves, getting ourselves ready to cross over. Father, we need to cross over, Lord. We need to go over empty-handed. We can't carry this baggage, we can't carry this mental torture, we can't carry this stuff, and Lord, we are not sleeping well.
So Lord, we are gonna call down the psalmist, we're gonna call down Psalm 4, verse 8. In peace I will lie down and sleep. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Lord, we need your love, we need your mercy, we need your goodness, and Lord also we're gonna walk in John 14, verse 27. Peace I leave with you, and my peace I give to you. Father, our thoughts are racing. Lord, fear is spiraling out of control. Lord, we're actually scared, dear God, of leaving 2025 and going into no man's
land. So, Father, as we get prepared to go into no man's land, as we cross over the river, the river Jordan of time, as we get ready to cross over into a new time, a new beginning, a new day, a new drumbeat, a new drum skin, Lord, we pray that you will guard our hearts, Father, that you will soothe and smooth our breathing. Lord, that we will breathe and we will inhale and exhale.
Father, if we're on the battlefield of life, Father, if we're in the boardroom, wherever we are at this moment, Father, I pray that you will bless us from the crown of our head to the very sole of our feet. Lord, that you will keep our thoughts in a calm position. We're praying, dear God, for night peace. We're praying for anxiety to go. We're praying, dear God, for relief. We're praying for emotional quietness. But Lord, we need our God and our King, and we thank you that there is power in the name of Jesus Christ.
