Welcome And Purpose Of Prayer

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. Sister and brother, I just want to draw our attention now to the word of God. It is really important for myself and for you and for everyone in this ministry in this studio at RB Christian Radio. We want to say thank you to everybody that listens to us on RB Christian Radio. We thank you for that, that online radio station that is right out of here. Obviously, Reverend Bend Christian Radio. That's what that is all about, RB Christian Radio. Please share it out between your churches, your family, your brothers, and your sisters, and thank you for the downloads. I just wanted to say thank you. Sorry

for interrupting. I know we're going to jump straight into prayer, but we're going to dive straight into the beautiful book of Psalm 91, verse 1. And the Spirit of the Lord is over you. I've got to tell you that the power of God is in your life. And Psalm 91, this is beautiful. We are going to ask for God to give us rest in the shadow. We might be uh in conflict, we might be in areas of spiritual warfare, there might be strains in our lives going on. We might feel that we have got a lot of uncertain uh situations in our lives that shouldn't

be happening because we're Jesus followers and we're saying, Lord, why is this happening? You know, God is taking us through the refiner's fire, we're going right the way through the refiner's fire, and it is so difficult, you know, when we're Bible-believing believers, forget the church goers, forget all the stuff about church and religion. When you decide to give yourself, give yourself because God has already taken you, God has already got you. You are marked with the Holy Spirit, you are sealed by the blood of Jesus, you are a born-again Christian. You know, we are not labeled as churchgoers, we are born-again Christians, and it is the hardest thing that we'll ever do in our lives is to be Jesus' followers. So, Father, right now, Lord, you tell us whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, we need rest because Lord, the battle of our life has been intense.

Living In The Word, Not The World

Lord, life, dear God, has been intense in certain areas of our lives. Father, it feels like we've jumped in the ring, dear God, with an Olympian boxer. Lord, it feels like we have been battered to the left, to the right, to the east, to the south, the west. And Lord, we want to rise now on wings as of eagles. But Lord, under the gentleness of your shadow, under the gentleness of the word of God. Lord, we thank you for Psalm 91, verse 1. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, I believe that we got to live in the Word. Lord, I believe that that word dwell means to live in. So Lord, we gotta live in the Word of God. We gotta rest in the Word of God. We gotta sit in the Word of God. We gotta walk in the Word, we gotta fall asleep with the Word, and we gotta rise with the Word. So right now, Lord, I pray that the Word of God will get in our blood, the Word of God will get in our DNA, the Word of God will get in our mind. Lord, that we will read this, that Lord, that we will listen to the Word of God on some earbuds, on some headphones when we're commuting. Lord, wherever we're doing, Lord, help us to get the Word of God in our spirit. Father, I thank you that wherever we are, from the battlefield, dear God, to the skirmishes of life, Father, I pray for those, dear God, that will not we will not live our

lives by social media. We will not engage with what the world is doing. Father, we will not live according to the pattern of the world. But Lord, we will be transformed right now. We believe that we are being transformed. We believe that Isaiah 26 verse 3 is for us. You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you. Lord, as we are in 26 now, we gotta trust in you. Lord, we gotta live by the word of God and we gotta trust you like never before. Jesus, we need you in our hearts. Lord, we need you in our lives, Lord, in our personal space, in our workspace, in every area of our life. Lord, I want to learn. Father, I believe that each and every one of us, the listeners around the world, Lord, we want to learn what the psalmist is telling us to do. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, we want to dwell, we want to live in the shadow of the Almighty, Lord. And right now, Lord, Father, I thank you for the love of Jesus Christ. But Lord, my attention, sisters and brothers, I'm so sorry. My attention has been taken to the news, and we are just going to pray for those caught in that uh Swiss ski resort fire. Father, that news that is breaking now, Lord, we pray for those that are caught, dear God, those 40 lives that have been lost and so many injured. Father, we pray right now for Switzerland, that Swiss ski resort. We pray, Father, that you will bless families in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, that disaster, bring hope and bring love, Lord God, to whoever and whatever has gone on in that Swiss ski resort, Lord. Bless them. Father, please, God, be with the emergency services, everything that goes on there. Lord, let your love be over Switzerland and all the families
