Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, love, hope, and strength. You know what? Jesus, we've had enough of the world. Lord, it is the 11th hour. We are exhausted, we're busted, we're tired, we're skinned, we need miracles.
So Lord, wherever we are around the world, I pray that the rhythm, the rhythm of the word of God will carry us. Lord, it is just two minutes past 11 here in the UK, Jesus PM. We're tired. It's been a long day, Lord. The kids have been running around the walls of the house. Lord, the family have been tearing each other to pieces. Lord, it's been awful at work. Father, help us. Lord, help us to stand again. Help us to be able to stand on the Word of God, Lord, because we can't lean into the world. Father, you tell us through the beautiful book of Joshua, chapter 1, verse 5, no one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. I will never leave you nor forsake you. God has not left you in the arena. God has not left you in the arena of life on your own. Let me tell you what the psalmist says about your life.
Psalm 23, verse 6. Surely goodness and love will follow me all my days of my life. Father, we pray right now around the world. Tonight, Lord, as we pray over New Zealand, over Australia, over America, London, every area, every continent, every tribe, every tongue. Lord, we need to hear the line of Judah. Because Lord, we're tired of hearing the noise of the political agenda. We're tired of hearing the possibilities of war. We're tired of hearing the possibilities of trouble. We need our Jesus. And Lord, we are exhausted. And we pray for stability tonight. We pray for peace. Lord, strengthen us as we are already thinking about tomorrow. Lord, the emails we got to send, the texts that are coming through right now at this crazy hour.
Lord, I pray that we will not put our whole self-worth scrolling through social media, aimlessly looking for the button of happiness. Lord, help us to get off of the TV, just watching trashy TV. Father, I pray right now that we will listen to the word of God. I pray, Father God, that we will get the word in our ears. The Bible says, do not let this book of the Lord depart from your mouth. Meditate on it day and night. Father, I pray that we will get a great Bible app. Lord, that we will find, dear God, a great Bible app, that we will listen to the Word of God as we are getting ready for tomorrow. Lord, as we're getting ready for work wherever we are around the world, Father,
strengthen this body again. Strengthen these minds again. Father, in houses, in flats, in student apartments, in workplaces, hospitals, hospices. Father, strengthen this globe. Holy Spirit, we're praying for our future. We're praying for our tonight. We're praying for tomorrow. We're praying, dear God, strengthen our bodies. You tell us that you never leave us nor forsake us. But Lord, help us to put down social media. Help us to put down TV. Help us to put down, dear God, certain things in our lives. Help us just to listen to the scripture. I pray, Lord, that your word will penetrate the skin that we walk in. I pray, Jesus, this battle cry. Lord, the war cry from the battlefield to the boardroom. Father, from the field of life to the school run, to the exhaustion of running one job, two houses, this, that, whatever we are doing, from being a homemaker to working, to being at school, to being in retirement, whatever our life looks like. Help us, dear God, order our steps. Father, strengthen the bones. Strengthen the mind. Lord, we're already answering the email for tomorrow morning. Lord, we're already planning our commute. Lord, we're already getting the kids dressed in our mind. We've already got their lunches packed in our head. We've already running the hoover around the house. Lord, we're thinking too much.
Holy Spirit, we invite you in. Holy Spirit, come into our life. Holy Spirit, bring peace today. Holy Spirit, bring your presence. Lord, we need peace. Lord, as we try to rest at this awkward hour, as the sun is rising in certain places of the world, as the sun is setting in certain places of the world, whatever our time zone is, Holy Spirit, be with us. Jesus, let your word carry us. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. I will catch you within about an hour or so for the next lot of prayers. God bless you.
